פתגם נבואה דהוה עם ירמיה מקדם יי כד שלח לותיה מלכא צדקיה ית פשחור בר מלכיה וית צפניה בר מעשיה כהנא למימר:
lmymr khna meshyh br tspnyh wyth mlkyh br pshkhwr yth tsdqyh mlka lwthyh shlkh kd yy mqdm yrmyh em dhwh nbwah pthgm
The word which came to Jeremiah from Yahweh, when King Zedekiah sent to him Pashhur the son of Malchijah, and Zephaniah the son of Maaseiah, the priest, saying,

צלי כען עלנא קדם יי ארי נבוכדרצר מלכא דבבל מגיח קרבא בנא מאים יעבד יי עמנא ככל פרישתיה ויסתלק מננא:
mnna wysthlq pryshthyh kkl emna yy yebd maym bna qrba mgykh dbbl mlka nbwkdrtsr ary yy qdm elna ken tsly
“Please inquire of Yahweh for us; for Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon makes war against us. Perhaps Yahweh will deal with us according to all his wondrous works, that he may withdraw from us.”

ואמר ירמיה להון כדין תימרון לצדקיה:
ltsdqyh thymrwn kdyn lhwn yrmyh wamr
Then Jeremiah said to them, “Tell Zedekiah:

כדנן אמר יי אלהא דישראל האנא מסחר ית מאני קרבא דבידכון דאתון מגיחין קרבא בהון עם מלכא דבבל ועם כשדאי דצירין עליכון מברא לשורא ואכנש יתהון לגו קרתא הדא:
hda qrtha lgw ythhwn waknsh lshwra mbra elykwn dtsyryn kshday wem dbbl mlka em bhwn qrba mgykhyn dathwn dbydkwn qrba many yth mskhr hana dyshral alha yy amr kdnn
‘Yahweh, the God of Israel says, “Behold, I will turn back the weapons of war that are in your hands, with which you fight against the king of Babylon, and against the Chaldeans who besiege you outside the walls; and I will gather them into the middle of this city.

ואגיח אנא עמכון ביד מרממא ובדרע תקיפא וברגז ובחמה ובתקוף רב:
rb wbthqwp wbkhmh wbrgz thqypa wbdre mrmma byd emkwn ana wagykh
I myself will fight against you with an outstretched hand and with a strong arm, even in anger, in wrath, and in great indignation.

ואמחי ית יתבי קרתא הדא וית אנשא וית בעירא במותא סגיאה ימותון:
ymwthwn sgyah bmwtha beyra wyth ansha wyth hda qrtha ythby yth wamkhy
I will strike the inhabitants of this city, both man and animal. They will die of a great pestilence.

ובתר כן אמר יי אמסר ית צדקיה מלך שבטא דבית יהודה וית עבדוהי וית עמא וית דאשתארו בקרתא הדא מן מותא ומן חרבא ומן כפנא ביד נבוכדראצר מלכא דבבל וביד בעלי דבביהון וביד דבען למקטלהון וימחינון לפתגם דחרב לא יחוס עליהון ולא יחמול ולא ירחם:
yrkhm wla ykhmwl wla elyhwn ykhws la dkhrb lpthgm wymkhynwn lmqTlhwn dben wbyd dbbyhwn bely wbyd dbbl mlka nbwkdratsr byd kpna wmn khrba wmn mwtha mn hda bqrtha dashtharw wyth ema wyth ebdwhy wyth yhwdh dbyth shbTa mlk tsdqyh yth amsr yy amr kn wbthr
Afterward,” says Yahweh, “I will deliver Zedekiah king of Judah, his servants, and the people, even those who are left in this city from the pestilence, from the sword, and from the famine, into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, and into the hand of their enemies, and into the hand of those who seek their life. He will strike them with the edge of the sword. He will not spare them, have pity, or have mercy.”’

ולעמא הדין תימר כדנן אמר יי האנא יתיב קדמיהון ית אורח חיי וית אורח מותא:
mwtha awrkh wyth khyy awrkh yth qdmyhwn ythyb hana yy amr kdnn thymr hdyn wlema
“You shall say to this people, ‘Yahweh says: “Behold, I set before you the way of life and the way of death.

דיתיב בקרתא הדא יתקטיל בחרבא ובכפנא ובמותא ודיפוק וישתמע לכשדאי דצירין עליכון ויחי ותהי ליה נפשיה לשיזבא:
lshyzba npshyh lyh wthhy wykhy elykwn dtsyryn lkshday wyshthme wdypwq wbmwtha wbkpna bkhrba ythqTyl hda bqrtha dythyb
He who remains in this city will die by the sword, by the famine, and by the pestilence, but he who goes out and passes over to the Chaldeans who besiege you, he will live, and he will escape with his life.

ארי חל רוגזי בקרתא הדא לבישא ולא לטבא אמר יי בידא דמלכא דבבל תתמסר ויוקדינה בנורא:
bnwra wywqdynh ththmsr dbbl dmlka byda yy amr lTba wla lbysha hda bqrtha rwgzy khl ary
For I have set my face on this city for evil, and not for good,” says Yahweh. “It will be given into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he will burn it with fire.”’

ולבית מלך שבטא דבית יהודה קבילו פתגמא דיי:
dyy pthgma qbylw yhwdh dbyth shbTa mlk wlbyth
“Concerning the house of the king of Judah, hear Yahweh’s word:

בית דוד כדנן אמר יי דינו לצפרא דינא ושיזיבו אניסא מיד דאניס ליה דלמא ידלק כאשתא רוגזי וישיצי ולא יהי חיס מן קדם בישות עובדיכון:
ewbdykwn byshwth qdm mn khys yhy wla wyshytsy rwgzy kashtha ydlq dlma lyh danys myd anysa wshyzybw dyna ltspra dynw yy amr kdnn dwd byth
House of David, Yahweh says, ‘Execute justice in the morning, and deliver him who is robbed out of the hand of the oppressor, lest my wrath go out like fire, and burn so that no one can quench it, because of the evil of your doings.

האנא שלח רוגזי עלך דיתבא בתוקפא בקרוין כריכן אמר יי דאמרין מן יחות עלנא ומן יעול בבירניתנא:
bbyrnythna yewl wmn elna ykhwth mn damryn yy amr krykn bqrwyn bthwqpa dythba elk rwgzy shlkh hana
Behold, I am against you, O inhabitant of the valley, and of the rock of the plain,’ says Yahweh. ‘You that say, “Who would come down against us?” or, “Who would enter into our homes?”

ואסער עליכון כפירי עובדיכון אמר יי ואדליק אשתא בקרוהא ותשיצי בכל סחרנהא:
skhrnha bkl wthshytsy bqrwha ashtha wadlyq yy amr ewbdykwn kpyry elykwn waser
I will punish you according to the fruit of your doings,’ says Yahweh; ‘and I will kindle a fire in her forest, and it will devour all that is around her.’”
