ܦܬܓܡܐ ܕܗܘܐ ܥܠ ܐܪܡܝܐ ܡܢ ܩܕܡ ܡܪܝܐ ܟܕ ܫܕܪ ܠܘܬܗ ܨܕܩܝܐ ܡܠܟܐ ܠܦܫܚܘܪ ܒܪ ܡܠܟܝܐ ܘܠܨܦܢܝܐ ܒܪ ܡܥܣܝܐ ܟܗ̈ܢܐ ܠܡܐܡܪ
lm'mr khn' mesy' br wltspny' mlky' br lpshkhwr mlk' tsdqy' lwthh shdr kd mry' qdm mn 'rmy' el dhw' pthgm'
The word which came to Jeremiah from Yahweh, when King Zedekiah sent to him Pashhur the son of Malchijah, and Zephaniah the son of Maaseiah, the priest, saying,

ܒܥܝ ܥܠܝܢ ܡܢ ܡܪܝܐ ܡܛܠ ܕܢܒܘܟܕܢܨܪ ܡܠܟܐ ܕܒܒܠ ܡܬܟܬܫ ܥܡܢ ܛܟ ܢܥܒܕ ܥܡܢ ܡܪܝܐ ܐܝܟ ܟܠܗܝܢ ܬܕܡܪ̈ܬܗ ܘܢܦܪܩܝܘܗܝ ܡܢܢ
mnn wnprqywhy thdmrthh klhyn 'yk mry' emn nebd Tk emn mthkthsh dbbl mlk' dnbwkdntsr mTl mry' mn elyn bey
“Please inquire of Yahweh for us; for Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon makes war against us. Perhaps Yahweh will deal with us according to all his wondrous works, that he may withdraw from us.”

ܘܐܡܪ ܠܗܘܢ ܐܪܡܝܐ ܗܟܢܐ ܬܐܡܪܘܢ ܠܨܕܩܝܐ ܡܠܟܐ

Then Jeremiah said to them, “Tell Zedekiah:

ܗܟܢܐ ܐܡܪ ܡܪܝܐ ܐܠܗܐ ܕܐܝܣܪܝܠ ܗܐ ܡܗܦܟ ܐܢܐ ܡܐ̈ܢܝ ܩܪܒܐ ܕܒܐ̈ܝܕܝܟܘܢ ܕܡܬܟܬܫܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܒܗܘܢ ܥܡ ܡܠܟܐ ܕܒܒܠ ܘܥܡ ܟ̈ܠܕܝܐ ܕܟܪ̈ܝܟܝܢ ܠܟܘܢ ܠܒܪ ܡܢ ܩܪܝܬܐ ܘܐܟܢܫ ܐܢܘܢ ܠܓܘ ܩܪܝܬܐ ܗܕܐ
hd' qryth' lgw 'nwn w'knsh qryth' mn lbr lkwn dkrykyn kldy' wem dbbl mlk' em bhwn 'nthwn dmthkthshyn db'ydykwn qrb' m'ny 'n' mhpk h' d'ysryl 'lh' mry' 'mr hkn'
‘Yahweh, the God of Israel says, “Behold, I will turn back the weapons of war that are in your hands, with which you fight against the king of Babylon, and against the Chaldeans who besiege you outside the walls; and I will gather them into the middle of this city.

ܘܐܬܟܬܫ ܐܢܐ ܥܡܟܘܢ ܒܐܝܕܐ ܬܩܝܦܬܐ ܘܒܕܪܥܐ ܪܡܐ ܒܪܘܓܙܐ ܘܒܚܡܬܐ ܘܒܪܘܓܙܐ ܪܒܐ

I myself will fight against you with an outstretched hand and with a strong arm, even in anger, in wrath, and in great indignation.

ܐܡܚܐ ܠܝܬ̈ܒܝ ܩܪܝܬܐ ܗܕܐ ܒܢ̈ܝ ܐܢܫܐ ܘܒܥܝܪܐ ܒܡܘܬܐ ܪܒܐ ܢܡܘܬܘܢ
nmwthwn rb' bmwth' wbeyr' 'nsh' bny hd' qryth' lythby 'mkh'
I will strike the inhabitants of this city, both man and animal. They will die of a great pestilence.

ܘܒܬܪܟܢ ܐܡܪ ܡܪܝܐ ܐܫܠܡܝܘܗܝ ܠܨܕܩܝܐ ܡܠܟܐ ܕܝܗܘܕܐ ܘܠܥܒ̈ܕܘܗܝ ܘܠܥܡܐ ܕܐܫܬܚܪܘ ܒܩܪܝܬܐ ܗܕܐ ܡܢ ܚܪܒܐ ܘܡܢ ܟܦܢܐ ܘܡܢ ܡܘܬܢܐ ܐܫܠܡ ܒܐܝܕܐ ܕܢܒܘܟܕܢܨܪ ܡܠܟܐ ܕܒܒܠ ܘܒܐܝܕܐ ܕܒ̈ܥܠܕܒܒܝܗܘܢ ܘܒܐܝܕܐ ܕܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܒܥܝܢ ܢܦܫܗܘܢ ܘܢܡܚܐ ܐܢܘܢ ܒܦܘܡܐ ܕܚܪܒܐ ܘܠܐ ܢܚܘܣ ܥܠܝܗܘܢ ܘܠܐ ܢܪܚܦ ܘܠܐ ܢܪܚܡ ܥܠܝܗܘܢ
elyhwn nrkhm wl' nrkhp wl' elyhwn nkhws wl' dkhrb' bpwm' 'nwn wnmkh' npshhwn dbeyn d'ylyn wb'yd' dbeldbbyhwn wb'yd' dbbl mlk' dnbwkdntsr b'yd' 'shlm mwthn' wmn kpn' wmn khrb' mn hd' bqryth' d'shthkhrw wlem' wlebdwhy dyhwd' mlk' ltsdqy' 'shlmywhy mry' 'mr wbthrkn
Afterward,” says Yahweh, “I will deliver Zedekiah king of Judah, his servants, and the people, even those who are left in this city from the pestilence, from the sword, and from the famine, into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, and into the hand of their enemies, and into the hand of those who seek their life. He will strike them with the edge of the sword. He will not spare them, have pity, or have mercy.”’

ܘܠܥܡܐ ܗܢܐ ܐܡܪ ܗܟܢܐ ܐܡܪ ܡܪܝܐ ܗܐ ܝܗܒ ܐܢܐ ܩܕܡܝܟܘܢ ܐܘܪܚܐ ܕܚ̈ܝܐ ܘܐܘܪܚܐ ܕܡܘܬܐ
dmwth' w'wrkh' dkhy' 'wrkh' qdmykwn 'n' yhb h' mry' 'mr hkn' 'mr hn' wlem'
“You shall say to this people, ‘Yahweh says: “Behold, I set before you the way of life and the way of death.

ܡ̇ܢ ܕܝܬܒ ܒܩܪܝܬܐ ܗܕܐ ܢܡܘܬ ܒܚܪܒܐ ܘܒܟܦܢܐ ܘܒܡܘܬܢܐ ܘܡܢ ܕܢܦܩ ܠܘܬ ܟ̈ܠܕܝܐ ܕܟܪ̈ܝܟܝܢ ܠܟܘܢ ܚܝܐ ܘܡܫܘܙܒ ܢܦܫܗ

He who remains in this city will die by the sword, by the famine, and by the pestilence, but he who goes out and passes over to the Chaldeans who besiege you, he will live, and he will escape with his life.

ܡܛܠ ܕܣܡܬ ܐ̈ܦܝ ܒܩܪܝܬܐ ܗܕܐ ܠܒܝܫܬܐ ܘܠܐ ܠܛܒܬܐ ܐܡܪ ܡܪܝܐ ܘܒܐܝܕܗ ܕܡܠܟܐ ܕܒܒܠ ܬܫܬܠܡ ܘܢܘܩܕܝܗ ܒܢܘܪܐ

For I have set my face on this city for evil, and not for good,” says Yahweh. “It will be given into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he will burn it with fire.”’

ܘܠܒܝܬ ܡܠܟܐ ܕܝܗܘܕܐ ܫܡܥܘ ܦܬܓܡܗ ܕܡܪܝܐ

“Concerning the house of the king of Judah, hear Yahweh’s word:

ܕܒܝܬ ܕܘܝܕ ܗܟܢܐ ܐܡܪ ܡܪܝܐ ܕܘܢܘ ܒܨܦܪܐ ܕܝܢܐ ܘܦܨܘ ܠܛܠܝܡܐ ܡܢ ܡ̇ܢ ܕܛܠܡ ܠܗ ܕܠܡܐ ܬܦܘܩ ܐܝܟ ܢܘܪܐ ܚܡܬܝ ܘܬܘܩܕ ܘܠܝܬ ܕܡܕܥܟ ܡܛܠ ܒܝܫܘܬܐ ܕܥܒ̈ܕܝܟܘܢ

House of David, Yahweh says, ‘Execute justice in the morning, and deliver him who is robbed out of the hand of the oppressor, lest my wrath go out like fire, and burn so that no one can quench it, because of the evil of your doings.

ܗܐ ܐܢܐ ܥܠܝܟܝ ܝܬܒܬ ܒܥܘܡܩܐ ܥܡܝܩܬ ܦܩܥܬܐ ܐܡܪ ܡܪܝܐ ܕܐܡܪܝܢ ܡ̇ܢ ܢܐܬܐ ܥܠܝܢ ܘܡܢܘ ܢܥܘܠ ܠܡܥܡܪܢ

Behold, I am against you, O inhabitant of the valley, and of the rock of the plain,’ says Yahweh. ‘You that say, “Who would come down against us?” or, “Who would enter into our homes?”

ܐܦܩܘܕ ܥܠܝܟܘܢ ܐܝܟ ܦܐܪ̈ܝ ܥܒ̈ܕܝܟܘܢ ܐܡܪ ܡܪܝܐ ܘܐܫܒܘܩ ܢܘܪܐ ܒܩܘܪ̈ܝܗ ܘܬܐܟܘܠ ܟܠܗܘܢ ܚܕܪ̈ܝܗ
khdryh klhwn wth'kwl bqwryh nwr' w'shbwq mry' 'mr ebdykwn p'ry 'yk elykwn 'pqwd
I will punish you according to the fruit of your doings,’ says Yahweh; ‘and I will kindle a fire in her forest, and it will devour all that is around her.’”
