ושמע פשחור בר אמר כהנא והוא ממנא סגן כהניא בבית מקדשא דיי דירמיה מתנבי ית פתגמיא האלין:
halyn pthgmya yth mthnby dyrmyh dyy mqdsha bbyth khnya sgn mmna whwa khna amr br pshkhwr wshme
Now Pashhur, the son of Immer the priest, who was chief officer in Yahweh’s house, heard Jeremiah prophesying these things.

ואלקי פשחור ית ירמיה נביא ויהב יתיה לכיפתא דבתרע שבטא בנימין עלאה די בבית מקדשא דיי:
dyy mqdsha bbyth dy elah bnymyn shbTa dbthre lkyptha ythyh wyhb nbya yrmyh yth pshkhwr walqy
Then Pashhur struck Jeremiah the prophet and put him in the stocks that were in the upper gate of Benjamin, which was in Yahweh’s house.

והוה ביומא דבתרוהי ואפיק פשחור ית ירמיה מן כיפתא ואמר ליה ירמיה לא פשחור רבי יי שמך אלהין יתכנשון עלך דקטלין בחרבא מסחור סחור:
skhwr mskhwr bkhrba dqTlyn elk ythknshwn alhyn shmk yy rby pshkhwr la yrmyh lyh wamr kyptha mn yrmyh yth pshkhwr wapyq dbthrwhy bywma whwh
On the next day, Pashhur released Jeremiah out of the stocks. Then Jeremiah said to him, “Yahweh has not called your name Pashhur, but Magormissabib.

ארי כדנן אמר יי הא אנא מסר לך לתבר לך ולכל רחמך ויתקטלון בחרב בעלי דבביהון ועינך חזין וית כל דבית יהודה אמסר ביד מלכא דבבל ואגלינון לבבל וימחינון בחרבא:
bkhrba wymkhynwn lbbl waglynwn dbbl mlka byd amsr yhwdh dbyth kl wyth khzyn weynk dbbyhwn bely bkhrb wythqTlwn rkhmk wlkl lk lthbr lk msr ana ha yy amr kdnn ary
For Yahweh says, ‘Behold, I will make you a terror to yourself and to all your friends. They will fall by the sword of their enemies, and your eyes will see it. I will give all Judah into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he will carry them captive to Babylon, and will kill them with the sword.

ואתן ית כל עותר ארעא הדא וית כל עמלה וית כל ליאותה וית כל אוצרי מלכיא דבית יהודה אמסר ביד בעלי דבביהון ויבזונון וישבונון ויובלינון לבבל:
lbbl wywblynwn wyshbwnwn wybzwnwn dbbyhwn bely byd amsr yhwdh dbyth mlkya awtsry kl wyth lyawthh kl wyth emlh kl wyth hda area ewthr kl yth wathn
Moreover I will give all the riches of this city, and all its gains, and all its precious things, yes, I will give all the treasures of the kings of Judah into the hand of their enemies. They will make them captives, take them, and carry them to Babylon.

ואת פשחור וכל יתבי ביתך תהכון בשביא ולבבל תתובל ותמן תמות ותמן תתקבר את וכל רחימיך דאתנביתא להון בשקרא:
bshqra lhwn dathnbytha rkhymyk wkl ath ththqbr wthmn thmwth wthmn ththwbl wlbbl bshbya thhkwn bythk ythby wkl pshkhwr wath
You, Pashhur, and all who dwell in your house will go into captivity. You will come to Babylon, and there you will die, and there you will be buried, you, and all your friends, to whom you have prophesied falsely.’”

שבישתני יי ואשתבישית תקיפתני ויכלת לי הויתי ללעיב כל יומא כולהון מחיכין בי:
by mkhykyn kwlhwn ywma kl lleyb hwythy ly wyklth thqypthny washthbyshyth yy shbyshthny
Yahweh, you have persuaded me, and I was persuaded. You are stronger than I, and have prevailed. I have become a laughingstock all day. Everyone mocks me.

ארי בזמן דאנא מתנבי אנא מרים קלי בכי ומצוח ועל חטופין ובזוזין אנא מתנבי ארי הוה פתגמא דיי לי לחסודין וללעג כל יומא:
ywma kl wlleg lkhswdyn ly dyy pthgma hwh ary mthnby ana wbzwzyn khTwpyn wel wmtswkh bky qly mrym ana mthnby dana bzmn ary
For as often as I speak, I cry out; I cry, “Violence and destruction!” because Yahweh’s word has been made a reproach to me, and a derision, all day.

ואמרית לא אדכריניה ולא אמליל עוד בשמיה והוון פתגמוהי בלבי כאשתא בערא שטפין ית גרמי ולאיתי לסוברא ולא יכילית:
ykylyth wla lswbra wlaythy grmy yth shTpyn bera kashtha blby pthgmwhy whwwn bshmyh ewd amlyl wla adkrynyh la wamryth
If I say that I will not make mention of him, or speak any more in his name, then there is in my heart as it were a burning fire shut up in my bones. I am weary with holding it in. I can’t.

ארי שמעית מלי סגיאיא דמתכנשין מסחור סחור הוו ונחויניה כל אנש שלמי כמנין לאבאשא לי מאים יטעי ונכול ליה ונתפרע פורענותנא מניה:
mnyh pwrenwthna wnthpre lyh wnkwl yTey maym ly labasha kmnyn shlmy ansh kl wnkhwynyh hww skhwr mskhwr dmthknshyn sgyaya mly shmeyth ary
For I have heard the defaming of many: “Terror on every side! Denounce, and we will denounce him!” say all my familiar friends, those who watch for my fall. “Perhaps he will be persuaded, and we will prevail against him, and we will take our revenge on him.”

ויי מימריה בסעדי כגבר תקיף על כל רדפי יתקלון ולא יכלון למיקם יבהתון לחדא ארי לא יצלחון ותחפינון אתכנעות עלם דלא תפסוק:
thpswq dla elm athknewth wthkhpynwn ytslkhwn la ary lkhda ybhthwn lmyqm yklwn wla ythqlwn rdpy kl el thqyp kgbr bsedy mymryh wyy
But Yahweh is with me as an awesome mighty one. Therefore my persecutors will stumble, and they won’t prevail. They will be utterly disappointed because they have not dealt wisely, even with an everlasting dishonor which will never be forgotten.

ויי צבאות בהר קשוט גלין קדמוהי כולין ולב אחזי פורענות דינך מנהון ארי קדמך אמרית ית עולבני:
ewlbny yth amryth qdmk ary mnhwn dynk pwrenwth akhzy wlb kwlyn qdmwhy glyn qshwT bhr tsbawth wyy
But Yahweh of Armies, who tests the righteous, who sees the heart and the mind, let me see your vengeance on them, for I have revealed my cause to you.

שבחו קדם יי אודו קדם יי ארי שיזיב ית נפש מסכן מיד מבאשין:
mbashyn myd mskn npsh yth shyzyb ary yy qdm awdw yy qdm shbkhw
Sing to Yahweh! Praise Yahweh, for he has delivered the soul of the needy from the hand of evildoers.

ליט יומא דאיתלידית ביה יומא דילדתני ביה אמי לא יהי בריך:
bryk yhy la amy byh dyldthny ywma byh daythlydyth ywma lyT
Cursed is the day in which I was born. Don’t let the day in which my mother bore me be blessed.

ליט גברא דבשר ית אבא למימר אתיליד לך בר דכר חדאה חדיה:
khdyh khdah dkr br lk athylyd lmymr aba yth dbshr gbra lyT
Cursed is the man who brought news to my father, saying, “A boy is born to you,” making him very glad.
16
ויהי גברא ההוא כקרויא דהפך יי ברוגזיה ולא אתותבא וישמע צוחתא בצפרא ויבבא בעדן טיהרא:
Tyhra bedn wybba btspra tswkhtha wyshme athwthba wla brwgzyh yy dhpk kqrwya hhwa gbra wyhy
Let that man be as the cities which Yahweh overthrew, and didn’t repent. Let him hear a cry in the morning, and shouting at noontime,

לוי דלא אמיר עלי דמיתית ממעין והות לי פון אמי קברי והוית כדלא הוית:
hwyth kdla whwyth qbry amy pwn ly whwth mmeyn dmythyth ely amyr dla lwy
because he didn’t kill me from the womb. So my mother would have been my grave, and her womb always great.
