פתגמי נבואת ירמיהו בר חלקיהו מן רישי מטרת כהניא מן אמרכליא דהוו בירושלם גברא דקבל אחסנתיה בענתות בארע שבטא בנימן:
bnymn shbTa bare benthwth akhsnthyh dqbl gbra byrwshlm dhww amrklya mn khnya mTrth ryshy mn khlqyhw br yrmyhw nbwath pthgmy
The words of Jeremiah the son of Hilkiah, one of the priests who were in Anathoth in the land of Benjamin.

דהוה פתגם נבואה מן קדם יי עמיה ביומי יאשיה בר אמון מלך שבטא דבית יהודה בתלת עסרי שנין לממלכיה:
lmmlkyh shnyn esry bthlth yhwdh dbyth shbTa mlk amwn br yashyh bywmy emyh yy qdm mn nbwah pthgm dhwh
Yahweh’s word came to him in the days of Josiah the son of Amon, king of Judah, in the thirteenth year of his reign.

והוה בימי יהויקים בר יאשיה מלך שבטא דבית יהודה עד דשלימא חדא עשרי שבטא דבית יהודה עד דשלימא חדא עשרי שנין לצדקיה אחוהי בר יאשיה מלך שבטא דבית יהודה עד דאתא נבוכדנצר מלכא דבבל וצר על ירושלם תלת שנין ואגלי עמא דבה בירחא חמישאה:
khmyshah byrkha dbh ema wagly shnyn thlth yrwshlm el wtsr dbbl mlka nbwkdntsr datha ed yhwdh dbyth shbTa mlk yashyh br akhwhy ltsdqyh shnyn eshry khda dshlyma ed yhwdh dbyth shbTa eshry khda dshlyma ed yhwdh dbyth shbTa mlk yashyh br yhwyqym bymy whwh
It came also in the days of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah, king of Judah, to the end of the eleventh year of Zedekiah, the son of Josiah, king of Judah, to the carrying away of Jerusalem captive in the fifth month.

והוה פתגם נבואה מן קדם יי עמי למימר:
lmymr emy yy qdm mn nbwah pthgm whwh
Now Yahweh’s word came to me, saying,

עד לא בריתך ממעין אתקנתך ועד לא אתיתא לעלמא זמינתך נבי משקי כס דלוט לעממיא מניתך:
mnythk lemmya dlwT ks mshqy nby zmynthk lelma athytha la wed athqnthk mmeyn brythk la ed
“Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you. Before you were born, I sanctified you. I have appointed you a prophet to the nations.”

ואמרית קביל בעותי יי אלהים הא לית אנא ידע לאתנבאה ארי רבי אנא ומשירותי עקא וגלו אנא מתנבי על עמא הדין:
hdyn ema el mthnby ana wglw eqa wmshyrwthy ana rby ary lathnbah yde ana lyth ha alhym yy bewthy qbyl wamryth
Then I said, “Ah, Lord Yahweh! Behold, I don’t know how to speak; for I am a child.”

ואמר יי לי לא תמר רבי אנא ארי לכל אתר דאשלחינך תהך וית כל דאפקדינך תתנבי:
ththnby dapqdynk kl wyth thhk dashlkhynk athr lkl ary ana rby thmr la ly yy wamr
But Yahweh said to me, “Don’t say, ‘I am a child;’ for you must go to whomever I send you, and you must say whatever I command you.

לא תדחל מן קדמיהון ארי בסעדך מימרי לשיזבותך אמר יי:
yy amr lshyzbwthk mymry bsedk ary qdmyhwn mn thdkhl la
Don’t be afraid because of them, for I am with you to rescue you,” says Yahweh.

ושלח יי ית פתגמי נבואתיה וסדר בפומי ואמר יי לי הא שויתי פתגמי נבואתי בפומך:
bpwmk nbwathy pthgmy shwythy ha ly yy wamr bpwmy wsdr nbwathyh pthgmy yth yy wshlkh
Then Yahweh stretched out his hand and touched my mouth. Then Yahweh said to me, “Behold, I have put my words in your mouth.

חזי דמניתך יומא הדין על עממיא ועל מלכותא למעקר ולתרעא ולאבדא ולפגרא ועל בית ישראל ולמבני ולקימא:
wlqyma wlmbny yshral byth wel wlpgra wlabda wlthrea lmeqr mlkwtha wel emmya el hdyn ywma dmnythk khzy
Behold, I have today set you over the nations and over the kingdoms, to uproot and to tear down, to destroy and to overthrow, to build and to plant.”

והוה פתגם נבואה מן קדם יי עמי למימר מה את חזי ירמיה ואמרית מלך דמוחי לאבאשא אנא חזי:
khzy ana labasha dmwkhy mlk wamryth yrmyh khzy ath mh lmymr emy yy qdm mn nbwah pthgm whwh
Moreover Yahweh’s word came to me, saying, “Jeremiah, what do you see?” I said, “I see a branch of an almond tree.”

ואמר יי לי יאות חזיתא ארי מוחי אנא על פתגמי למעבדיה:
lmebdyh pthgmy el ana mwkhy ary khzytha yawth ly yy wamr
Then Yahweh said to me, “You have seen well; for I watch over my word to perform it.”

והוה פתגם נבואה מן קדם יי עמי תנינות למימר מה את חזי ואמרת מלך דרתח כדוד אנא חזי וטקוס משיריתיה דמדברן ואתין מאפי צפונא:
tspwna mapy wathyn dmdbrn mshyrythyh wTqws khzy ana kdwd drthkh mlk wamrth khzy ath mh lmymr thnynwth emy yy qdm mn nbwah pthgm whwh
Yahweh’s word came to me the second time, saying, “What do you see?” I said, “I see a boiling cauldron; and it is tipping away from the north.”

ואמר יי לי מציפונא תשרי בישתא למיתי על כל יתבי ארעא:
area ythby kl el lmythy byshtha thshry mtsypwna ly yy wamr
Then Yahweh said to me, “Out of the north, evil will break out on all the inhabitants of the land.

ארי הא אנא מכלי לכל זרעית מלכות צפונא אמר יי ויתון וירמון גבר כורסוהי לקבל תרעי ירושלם ועל כל שורהא סחור סחור ועל כל קרויא דבית יהודה:
yhwdh dbyth qrwya kl wel skhwr skhwr shwrha kl wel yrwshlm threy lqbl kwrswhy gbr wyrmwn wythwn yy amr tspwna mlkwth zreyth lkl mkly ana ha ary
For behold, I will call all the families of the kingdoms of the north,” says Yahweh. “They will come, and they will each set his throne at the entrance of the gates of Jerusalem, and against all its walls all around, and against all the cities of Judah.

ואמליל פורענות דיני מנהון על כל בשתיהון דשבקו פולחני ואסיקו בוסמין לטעות פלחי כוכביא ואשתעבדו לעובדי ידיהון:
ydyhwn lewbdy washthebdw kwkbya plkhy lTewth bwsmyn wasyqw pwlkhny dshbqw bshthyhwn kl el mnhwn dyny pwrenwth wamlyl
I will utter my judgments against them concerning all their wickedness, in that they have forsaken me, and have burned incense to other gods, and worshiped the works of their own hands.

ואת תתקף חרצך ותקוף ותתנבי להון ית כל דאנא מפקיד לך לא תתמנע מלאוכחותהון דלמא אתברינך קדמיהון:
qdmyhwn athbrynk dlma mlawkkhwthhwn ththmne la lk mpqyd dana kl yth lhwn wththnby wthqwp khrtsk ththqp wath
“You therefore put your belt on your waist, arise, and say to them all that I command you. Don’t be dismayed at them, lest I dismay you before them.

ואנא הא יהבתך יומא דין תקיף כקריה כריכא וכעמודא דברזל וכשור דנחש לאשקאה כס דלוט לכל יתבי ארעא למלכא דבית יהודה לרברבהא לכהנהא ולעמא דארעא:
darea wlema lkhnha lrbrbha yhwdh dbyth lmlka area ythby lkl dlwT ks lashqah dnkhsh wkshwr dbrzl wkemwda kryka kqryh thqyp dyn ywma yhbthk ha wana
For behold, I have made you today a fortified city, an iron pillar, and bronze walls against the whole land—against the kings of Judah, against its princes, against its priests, and against the people of the land.

ויהון דינין ומגיחין לקבלך למסתר ית פתגמי נבואתך ולא יכלין לך ארי בסעדך מימרי אמר יי לשיזבותך:
lshyzbwthk yy amr mymry bsedk ary lk yklyn wla nbwathk pthgmy yth lmsthr lqblk wmgykhyn dynyn wyhwn
They will fight against you, but they will not prevail against you; for I am with you”, says Yahweh, “to rescue you.”
