כדנן אמר יי לי אזיל ותזבון זלוע דחסף פחר ותדבר עמך מסבי עמא ומסבי כהניא:
khnya wmsby ema msby emk wthdbr pkhr dkhsp zlwe wthzbwn azyl ly yy amr kdnn
Thus said Yahweh, “Go, and buy a potter’s earthen container, and take some of the elders of the people and of the elders of the priests;

ותפוק לחילת בר הנום דקדם תרע קלקלתא ותתנבי תמן ית פתגמא דאמליל עמך:
emk damlyl pthgma yth thmn wththnby qlqltha thre dqdm hnwm br lkhylth wthpwq
and go out to the valley of the son of Hinnom, which is by the entry of the gate Harsith, and proclaim there the words that I will tell you.

ותימר קבילו פתגמא דיי מלכיא דבית יהודה ויתבי ירושלם כדנן אמר יי צבאות אלהא דישראל הא אנא מיתי בישתא על אתרא הדין דכל דישמעיניה יצלן אודנוהי:
awdnwhy ytsln dyshmeynyh dkl hdyn athra el byshtha mythy ana ha dyshral alha tsbawth yy amr kdnn yrwshlm wythby yhwdh dbyth mlkya dyy pthgma qbylw wthymr
Say, ‘Hear Yahweh’s word, kings of Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem: Yahweh of Armies, the God of Israel says, “Behold, I will bring evil on this place, which whoever hears, his ears will tingle.

חלף דשבקו פולחני וסאיבו ית אתרא הדין ואסיקו ביה בוסמין לטעות פלחי כוכביא דלא ידעונון אינון ואבהתהון ומלכיא דבית יהודה ומלו ית אתרא הדין דם זכאין:
zkayn dm hdyn athra yth wmlw yhwdh dbyth wmlkya wabhthhwn aynwn ydewnwn dla kwkbya plkhy lTewth bwsmyn byh wasyqw hdyn athra yth wsaybw pwlkhny dshbqw khlp
Because they have forsaken me, and have defiled this place, and have burned incense in it to other gods that they didn’t know—they, their fathers, and the kings of Judah—and have filled this place with the blood of innocents,

ובנו ית במת בעלא לאוקדא ית בניהון בנורא עלון לבעלא דלא פקדית באוריתי ודלא שלחית ביד עבדי נבייא ולא רעוא קדמי:
qdmy rewa wla nbyya ebdy byd shlkhyth wdla bawrythy pqdyth dla lbela elwn bnwra bnyhwn yth lawqda bela bmth yth wbnw
and have built the high places of Baal to burn their children in the fire for burnt offerings to Baal, which I didn’t command, nor speak, which didn’t even enter into my mind.

בכן הא יומיא אתן אמר יי לא יתקרי לאתרא הדין עוד תופת וחילת בר הנום אלהין חילת קטיליא:
qTylya khylth alhyn hnwm br wkhylth thwpth ewd hdyn lathra ythqry la yy amr athn ywmya ha bkn
Therefore, behold, the days come,” says Yahweh, “that this place will no more be called ‘Topheth’, nor ‘The Valley of the son of Hinnom’, but ‘The valley of Slaughter’.

ואקלקיל ית מלך אנש יהודה ויתבי ירושלם באתרא הדין וארמינון בחרבא קדם בעלי דבביהון וביד דבען למקטלהון ואתן ית נבלתהון משגרא למיכל לעופא דשמיא ולבעירא דארעא:
darea wlbeyra dshmya lewpa lmykl mshgra nblthhwn yth wathn lmqTlhwn dben wbyd dbbyhwn bely qdm bkhrba warmynwn hdyn bathra yrwshlm wythby yhwdh ansh mlk yth waqlqyl
“‘“I will make the counsel of Judah and Jerusalem void in this place. I will cause them to fall by the sword before their enemies, and by the hand of those who seek their life. I will give their dead bodies to be food for the birds of the sky and for the animals of the earth.

ואשוי ית קרתא הדא לצדו ולאשתממו כל דיעבר עלה יכלי ויניד על כל מחתהא:
mkhthha kl el wynyd ykly elh dyebr kl wlashthmmw ltsdw hda qrtha yth washwy
I will make this city an astonishment and a hissing. Everyone who passes by it will be astonished and hiss because of all its plagues.

ואוכלינון ית בשר בניהון וית בשר בנתהון וגבר נכסי קריביה יבזון בצירא ובעקתא דיעיקון להון בעלי דבביהון ודבען למקטלהון:
lmqTlhwn wdben dbbyhwn bely lhwn dyeyqwn wbeqtha btsyra ybzwn qrybyh nksy wgbr bnthhwn bshr wyth bnyhwn bshr yth wawklynwn
I will cause them to eat the flesh of their sons and the flesh of their daughters. They will each eat the flesh of his friend in the siege and in the distress with which their enemies, and those who seek their life, will distress them.”’

ותתבר זלוע לעיני גבריא דאזלין עמך:
emk dazlyn gbrya leyny zlwe wththbr
“Then you shall break the container in the sight of the men who go with you,

ותימר להון כדנן אמר יי צבאות כדין אתבר ית עמא הדין וית קרתא הדא כמא דמתבר ית מנא דפחרא דלא אפשר לאתסאה ליה עוד וכתופת יקברון מבלי אתר למקבר:
lmqbr athr mbly yqbrwn wkthwpth ewd lyh lathsah apshr dla dpkhra mna yth dmthbr kma hda qrtha wyth hdyn ema yth athbr kdyn tsbawth yy amr kdnn lhwn wthymr
and shall tell them, ‘Yahweh of Armies says: “Even so I will break this people and this city as one breaks a potter’s vessel, that can’t be made whole again. They will bury in Topheth until there is no place to bury.

כן אעביד לאתרא הדין אמר יי וליתבוהי ולמתן ית קרתא הדא בתופת:
bthwpth hda qrtha yth wlmthn wlythbwhy yy amr hdyn lathra aebyd kn
This is what I will do to this place,” says Yahweh, “and to its inhabitants, even making this city as Topheth.

ויהון בתי ירושלם ובתי מלכיא דבית יהודה באתר תופת דמסאב לכל בתיא דאסיקו בוסמין על אגוריהון לכל חילי שמיא ונסיכו נסכין לטעות פלחי כוכביא:
kwkbya plkhy lTewth nskyn wnsykw shmya khyly lkl agwryhwn el bwsmyn dasyqw bthya lkl dmsab thwpth bathr yhwdh dbyth mlkya wbthy yrwshlm bthy wyhwn
The houses of Jerusalem and the houses of the kings of Judah, which are defiled, will be as the place of Topheth, even all the houses on whose roofs they have burned incense to all the army of the sky and have poured out drink offerings to other gods.”’”

ואתא ירמיה מתופת דשלחיה יי תמן לאתנבאה וקם בדרת בית מקדשא דיי ואמר לכל עמא:
ema lkl wamr dyy mqdsha byth bdrth wqm lathnbah thmn yy dshlkhyh mthwpth yrmyh watha
Then Jeremiah came from Topheth, where Yahweh had sent him to prophesy, and he stood in the court of Yahweh’s house, and said to all the people:

כדנן אמר יי צבאות אלהא דישראל הא אנא מיתי על קרתא הדא ועל כל קרוהא ית כל בישתא דגזרית עלה ארי אקשיאו ית קדלהון בדיל דלא לקבלא ית פתגמי:
pthgmy yth lqbla dla bdyl qdlhwn yth aqshyaw ary elh dgzryth byshtha kl yth qrwha kl wel hda qrtha el mythy ana ha dyshral alha tsbawth yy amr kdnn
“Yahweh of Armies, the God of Israel says, ‘Behold, I will bring on this city and on all its towns all the evil that I have pronounced against it, because they have made their neck stiff, that they may not hear my words.’”
