חובי בית יהודה כתיבין בעט דברזל בטפר שמיר חריתין על לוח לבהון ולקרנת אגוריכון:
agwrykwn wlqrnth lbhwn lwkh el khrythyn shmyr bTpr dbrzl beT kthybyn yhwdh byth khwby
“The sin of Judah is written with a pen of iron, and with the point of a diamond. It is engraved on the tablet of their heart, and on the horns of your altars.

כאדכרא בניהון אגוריהון ואשיריהון תחות כל אילן עבוף ועל רמתא מנטלתא:
mnTltha rmtha wel ebwp ayln kl thkhwth washyryhwn agwryhwn bnyhwn kadkra
Even their children remember their altars and their Asherah poles by the green trees on the high hills.

על דפלחתון על טוריא בחקלא נכסיהון וכל בית גנזיכון לבזא אמסר בחובין דהויתון פלחין לטעותא בכל תחומיכון:
thkhwmykwn bkl lTewtha plkhyn dhwythwn bkhwbyn amsr lbza gnzykwn byth wkl nksyhwn bkhqla Twrya el dplkhthwn el
My mountain in the field, I will give your substance and all your treasures for a plunder, and your high places, because of sin, throughout all your borders.

ואיתי סנאה על ארעכון ותהי צדיא כשמטתא ובכון אעביד פורענות דינין עד דאגלי יתכון מאחסנתכון דיהבית לכון ותשתעבדון לבעלי דבביכון בארעא דלא ידעתון ארי קדום תקיף כאשתא נפק מן קדמי ברגז עד עלמא ייחול:
yykhwl elma ed brgz qdmy mn npq kashtha thqyp qdwm ary ydethwn dla barea dbbykwn lbely wthshthebdwn lkwn dyhbyth makhsnthkwn ythkwn dagly ed dynyn pwrenwth aebyd wbkwn kshmTtha tsdya wthhy arekwn el snah waythy
You, even of yourself, will discontinue from your heritage that I gave you. I will cause you to serve your enemies in the land which you don’t know, for you have kindled a fire in my anger which will burn forever.”

כדנן אמר יי ליט גברא דאתרחיץ באנשא וישוי בשרא רחצניה ומן מימרא דיי יעדי לביה:
lbyh yedy dyy mymra wmn rkhtsnyh bshra wyshwy bansha dathrkhyts gbra lyT yy amr kdnn
Yahweh says: “Cursed is the man who trusts in man, relies on strength of flesh, and whose heart departs from Yahweh.

ויהי כעכוביתא במישרא ולא יחזי ארי ייתי טבא וישרי בלא ולד במדברא בארע סדום דלא אתיתבת:
athythbth dla sdwm bare bmdbra wld bla wyshry Tba yythy ary ykhzy wla bmyshra kekwbytha wyhy
For he will be like a bush in the desert, and will not see when good comes, but will inhabit the parched places in the wilderness, an uninhabited salt land.

בריך גברא דאתרחיץ במימרא דיי ויהי מימרא דיי רוחצניה:
rwkhtsnyh dyy mymra wyhy dyy bmymra dathrkhyts gbra bryk
“Blessed is the man who trusts in Yahweh, and whose confidence is in Yahweh.

ויהי כאילן דשתיל על מבוע דמין ועל נגרין ישלח שורשוהי ולא יחזי ארי ייתי חומא ויהון טרפוהי עבוף ובשנת בצורתא לא יתר ולא יפסוק מלמעבד פרין:
pryn mlmebd ypswq wla ythr la btswrtha wbshnth ebwp Trpwhy wyhwn khwma yythy ary ykhzy wla shwrshwhy yshlkh ngryn wel dmyn mbwe el dshthyl kayln wyhy
For he will be as a tree planted by the waters, who spreads out its roots by the river, and will not fear when heat comes, but its leaf will be green, and will not be concerned in the year of drought. It won’t cease from yielding fruit.

נכיל לבא מכולא ותקיף הוא מן ידעיניה:
ydeynyh mn hwa wthqyp mkwla lba nkyl
The heart is deceitful above all things and it is exceedingly corrupt. Who can know it?

אנא יי חקר לבא בחר כוליתא ולמתן לאנש כאורחתיה כפירי עובדוהי:
ewbdwhy kpyry kawrkhthyh lansh wlmthn kwlytha bkhr lba khqr yy ana
“I, Yahweh, search the mind. I try the heart, even to give every man according to his ways, according to the fruit of his doings.”

הא כקוראה דמכנש בעין דלא דיליה ומשחין אפרוחין דבתרוהי לא יהכון כן כל גבר רשיע דקני נכסין דלא בדינא בפלגות יומוהי שביק להון ובסופיה מתקרי רשיעיא:
rshyeya mthqry wbswpyh lhwn shbyq ywmwhy bplgwth bdyna dla nksyn dqny rshye gbr kl kn yhkwn la dbthrwhy aprwkhyn wmshkhyn dylyh dla beyn dmknsh kqwrah ha
As the partridge that sits on eggs which she has not laid, so is he who gets riches, and not by right. In the middle of his days, they will leave him. At his end, he will be a fool.

פורענותא תתעביד מניה מן קדם דשכנתיה על כורסי יקרא בשמי מרומא עיל מן אולא מקביל אתר בית מקדשנא:
mqdshna byth athr mqbyl awla mn eyl mrwma bshmy yqra kwrsy el dshknthyh qdm mn mnyh ththebyd pwrenwtha
A glorious throne, set on high from the beginning, is the place of our sanctuary.

סבור ישראל יי כל דשבקו פולחנך יבהתון ורשיעיא דעברו על מימרך בגיהנם אינון עתידין למפל ארי שבקו פולחנך יי דבדיליה את מיתי עליהון יקרא כמבוע דמיין דלא פסקין מוהי:
mwhy psqyn dla dmyyn kmbwe yqra elyhwn mythy ath dbdylyh yy pwlkhnk shbqw ary lmpl ethydyn aynwn bgyhnm mymrk el debrw wrshyeya ybhthwn pwlkhnk dshbqw kl yy yshral sbwr
Yahweh, the hope of Israel, all who forsake you will be disappointed. Those who depart from me will be written in the earth, because they have forsaken Yahweh, the spring of living waters.

אסיני יי ואתסי פרוקני ואתפרק ארי תושבחתי את:
ath thwshbkhthy ary wathprq prwqny wathsy yy asyny
Heal me, O Yahweh, and I will be healed. Save me, and I will be saved; for you are my praise.
15
הא אינון אמרין לי אן דאתנביתא בשמא די יתקים כען:
ken ythqym dy bshma dathnbytha an ly amryn aynwn ha
Behold, they ask me, “Where is Yahweh’s word? Let it be fulfilled now.”
16
ואנא לא עכבית על מימרך מלאתנבאה עליהון לאותבותהון לדחלתך וליום ביש דאת מיתי עליהון לא חמידת את גלי קדמך אפקות שפותי גלי קדמך הוה:
hwh qdmk gly shpwthy apqwth qdmk gly ath khmydth la elyhwn mythy dath bysh wlywm ldkhlthk lawthbwthhwn elyhwn mlathnbah mymrk el ekbyth la wana
As for me, I have not hurried from being a shepherd after you. I haven’t desired the woeful day. You know. That which came out of my lips was before your face.

לא יהי מימרך לי כדבין רחצני את בעדן עקא:
eqa bedn ath rkhtsny kdbyn ly mymrk yhy la
Don’t be a terror to me. You are my refuge in the day of evil.
18
יבהתון רדפי ולא אבהית אנא יתכלמון אינון ולא אתכלם אנא איתי עליהון יום ביש ועל חד תרין תברא תברינון:
thbrynwn thbra thryn khd wel bysh ywm elyhwn aythy ana athklm wla aynwn ythklmwn ana abhyth wla rdpy ybhthwn
Let them be disappointed who persecute me, but don’t let me be disappointed. Let them be dismayed, but don’t let me be dismayed. Bring on them the day of evil, and destroy them with double destruction.

כדין אמר יי לי אזיל ותקום בתרע בני עמא דיעלון ביה מלכיא דבית יהודה ודיפקון ביה ובכל תרעי ירושלם:
yrwshlm threy wbkl byh wdypqwn yhwdh dbyth mlkya byh dyelwn ema bny bthre wthqwm azyl ly yy amr kdyn
Yahweh said this to me: “Go and stand in the gate of the children of the people, through which the kings of Judah come in and by which they go out, and in all the gates of Jerusalem.

ותימר להון קבילו פתגמא דיי מלכיא דבית יהודה וכל דבית יהודה וכל יתבי ירושלם דעלין בתרעיא האילן:
hayln bthreya delyn yrwshlm ythby wkl yhwdh dbyth wkl yhwdh dbyth mlkya dyy pthgma qbylw lhwn wthymr
Tell them, ‘Hear Yahweh’s word, you kings of Judah, all Judah, and all the inhabitants of Jerusalem, that enter in by these gates:

כדנן אמר יי אסתמרו בנפשתכון ולא תטלון מטול ביומא דשבתא ותיעלון בתרעי ירושלם:
yrwshlm bthrey wthyelwn dshbtha bywma mTwl thTlwn wla bnpshthkwn asthmrw yy amr kdnn
Yahweh says, “Be careful, and bear no burden on the Sabbath day, nor bring it in by the gates of Jerusalem.

ולא תפקון מטול מבתיכון ביומא דשבתא וכל עבידתא לא תעבדון ותקדשון ית יומא דשבתא כמא דפקדית ית אבהתכון:
abhthkwn yth dpqdyth kma dshbtha ywma yth wthqdshwn thebdwn la ebydtha wkl dshbtha bywma mbthykwn mTwl thpqwn wla
Don’t carry a burden out of your houses on the Sabbath day. Don’t do any work, but make the Sabbath day holy, as I commanded your fathers.

ולא קבילו ולא ארכינו ית אודניהון ואקשיאו ית קדלהון בדיל דלא למשמע ובדיל דלא לקבלא אולפן:
awlpn lqbla dla wbdyl lmshme dla bdyl qdlhwn yth waqshyaw awdnyhwn yth arkynw wla qbylw wla
But they didn’t listen. They didn’t turn their ear, but made their neck stiff, that they might not hear, and might not receive instruction.

ויהי אם קבלא תקבלון למימרי אמר יי בדיל דלא לאעלא מטול בתרעי קרתא הדא ביומא דשבתא ולקדשא ית יומא דשבתא בדיל דלא למעבד ביה כל עבידתא:
ebydtha kl byh lmebd dla bdyl dshbtha ywma yth wlqdsha dshbtha bywma hda qrtha bthrey mTwl laela dla bdyl yy amr lmymry thqblwn qbla am wyhy
It will happen, if you diligently listen to me,” says Yahweh, “to bring in no burden through the gates of this city on the Sabbath day, but to make the Sabbath day holy, to do no work therein;

ויעלון בתרעי קרתא הדא מלכין ורברבין יתבין על כורסי דוד רכיבין ברתיכין ובסוסון אינון ורברבניהון אנש יהודה ויתבי ירושלם ותתב קרתא הדא לעלם:
lelm hda qrtha wththb yrwshlm wythby yhwdh ansh wrbrbnyhwn aynwn wbswswn brthykyn rkybyn dwd kwrsy el ythbyn wrbrbyn mlkyn hda qrtha bthrey wyelwn
then there will enter in by the gates of this city kings and princes sitting on David’s throne, riding in chariots and on horses, they and their princes, the men of Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem; and this city will remain forever.

ויתון מקרויא דבית יהודה ומסחרני ירושלם ומארע שבט בנימן ומן שפילתא ומן טורא ומן דרומא מיתן עלון ונכסת קודשין וקורבנין ולבונתא ומעלי תודתא לבית מקדשא דיי:
dyy mqdsha lbyth thwdtha wmely wlbwntha wqwrbnyn qwdshyn wnksth elwn mythn drwma wmn Twra wmn shpyltha wmn bnymn shbT wmare yrwshlm wmskhrny yhwdh dbyth mqrwya wythwn
They will come from the cities of Judah, and from the places around Jerusalem, from the land of Benjamin, from the lowland, from the hill country, and from the South, bringing burnt offerings, sacrifices, meal offerings, and frankincense, and bringing sacrifices of thanksgiving to Yahweh’s house.

ואם לא תקבלון למימרי לקדשא ית יומא דשבתא ובדיל דלא למטל מטול ומיעל בתרעי ירושלם ביומא דשבתא ואדליק אשתא בתרעהא ותשיצי בירנית ירושלם ולא תטפי:
thTpy wla yrwshlm byrnyth wthshytsy bthreha ashtha wadlyq dshbtha bywma yrwshlm bthrey wmyel mTwl lmTl dla wbdyl dshbtha ywma yth lqdsha lmymry thqblwn la wam
But if you will not listen to me to make the Sabbath day holy, and not to bear a burden and enter in at the gates of Jerusalem on the Sabbath day, then I will kindle a fire in its gates, and it will devour the palaces of Jerusalem. It will not be quenched.”’”
