ܠܐ ܬܣܒ ܠܟ ܐܢܬܬܐ ܘܠܐ ܢܗܘܘܢ ܠܟ ܒ̈ܢܝܐ ܘܒܢ̈ܬܐ ܒܐܬܪܐ ܗܢܐ

“You shall not take a wife, neither shall you have sons or daughters, in this place.”

ܡܛܠ ܕܗܟܢܐ ܐܡܪ ܡܪܝܐ ܥܠ ܒ̈ܢܝܐ ܘܥܠ ܒܢ̈ܬܐ ܕܡܬܝܠܕܝܢ ܒܐܬܪܐ ܗܢܐ ܘܥܠ ܐܡܗ̈ܬܗܘܢ ܕܝ̈ܠܕܢ ܠܗܘܢ ܘܥܠ ܐ̈ܒܗܝܗܘܢ ܕܡܘܠܕܝܢ ܠܗܘܢ ܒܐܬܪܐ ܗܢܐ
hn' b'thr' lhwn dmwldyn 'bhyhwn wel lhwn dyldn 'mhthhwn wel hn' b'thr' dmthyldyn bnth' wel bny' el mry' 'mr dhkn' mTl
For Yahweh says concerning the sons and concerning the daughters who are born in this place, and concerning their mothers who bore them, and concerning their fathers who became their father in this land:

ܡܘܬܐ ܕܡܛܪ̈ܦܝ ܟܦܢܐ ܢܡܘܬܘܢ ܠܐ ܢܪܩܕܘܢ ܥܠܝܗܘܢ ܘܠܐ ܢܬܩܒܪܘܢ ܐܠܐ ܐܝܟ ܙܒܠܐ ܥܠ ܐ̈ܦܝ ܐܪܥܐ ܢܗܘܘܢ ܘܒܚܪܒܐ ܘܒܟܦܢܐ ܢܣܘܦܘܢ ܘܢܗ̈ܘܝܢ ܫ̈ܠܕܝܗܘܢ ܡܐܟܘܠܬܐ ܠܦܪܚܬܐ ܕܫܡܝܐ ܘܠܚܝܘܬܐ ܕܐܪܥܐ
d're' wlkhywth' dshmy' lprkhth' m'kwlth' shldyhwn wnhwyn nswpwn wbkpn' wbkhrb' nhwwn 're' 'py el zbl' 'yk 'l' nthqbrwn wl' elyhwn nrqdwn l' nmwthwn kpn' dmTrpy mwth'
“They will die grievous deaths. They will not be lamented, neither will they be buried. They will be as dung on the surface of the ground. They will be consumed by the sword and by famine. Their dead bodies will be food for the birds of the sky and for the animals of the earth.”

ܡܛܠ ܕܗܟܢܐ ܐܡܪ ܡܪܝܐ ܠܐ ܬܐܙܠ ܠܒܝܬ ܡܪܩܘܕܬܐ ܘܠܐ ܬܐܙܠ ܠܡܪܩܕܘ ܘܠܐ ܬܢܘܕ ܥܠܝܗܘܢ ܡܛܠ ܕܐܥܒܪܬ ܫܠܡܝ ܡܢ ܥܡܐ ܗܢܐ ܐܡܪ ܡܪܝܐ ܘܛܝܒܘܬܐ ܘܪ̈ܚܡܐ

For Yahweh says, “Don’t enter into the house of mourning. Don’t go to lament. Don’t bemoan them, for I have taken away my peace from this people,” says Yahweh, “even loving kindness and tender mercies.

ܘܢܡܘܬܘܢ ܪ̈ܘܪܒܐ ܘܕܩ̈ܕܩܐ ܒܐܪܥܐ ܗܕܐ ܠܐ ܢܬܩܒܪܘܢ ܘܠܐ ܢܪܩܕܘܢ ܥܠܝܗܘܢ ܘܠܐ ܢܝܠܠܘܢ ܘܠܐ ܢܩܕܚܘܢ ܥܠܝܗܘܢ
elyhwn nqdkhwn wl' nyllwn wl' elyhwn nrqdwn wl' nthqbrwn l' hd' b're' wdqdq' rwrb' wnmwthwn
Both great and small will die in this land. They will not be buried. Men won’t lament for them, cut themselves, or make themselves bald for them.

ܘܠܐ ܢܩܨܘܢ ܥܠܝܗܘܢ ܒܐܒܠܐ ܕܢܬܒܝܐܘܢ ܥܠ ܡܝܬܐ ܘܠܐ ܢܫܩܘܢ ܐܢܘܢ ܟܣܐ ܕܒܘܝܐܐ ܥܠ ܐ̈ܒܗܝܗܘܢ ܘܥܠ ܐܡ̈ܗܬܗܘܢ
'mhthhwn wel 'bhyhwn el dbwy'' ks' 'nwn nshqwn wl' myth' el dnthby'wn b'bl' elyhwn nqtswn wl'
Men won’t break bread for them in mourning, to comfort them for the dead. Men won’t give them the cup of consolation to drink for their father or for their mother.

ܘܠܒܝܬ ܡܫܬܝܐ ܠܐ ܬܥܘܠ ܠܡܬܒ ܥܡܗܘܢ ܠܡܠܥܣ ܘܠܡܫܬܐ

“You shall not go into the house of feasting to sit with them, to eat and to drink.”

ܡܛܠ ܕܗܟܢܐ ܐܡܪ ܡܪܝܐ ܚܝܠܬܢܐ ܐܠܗܐ ܕܐܝܣܪܝܠ ܗܐ ܡܒܛܠ ܐܢܐ ܡܢ ܐܬܪܐ ܗܢܐ ܠܥ̈ܢܝܟܘܢ ܘܒܝ̈ܘܡܬܟܘܢ ܩܠܐ ܕܕܝܨܐ ܘܩܠܐ ܕܚܕܘܬܐ ܩܠܐ ܕܚܬܢܐ ܘܩܠܐ ܕܟܠܬܐ

For Yahweh of Armies, the God of Israel says: “Behold, I will cause to cease out of this place, before your eyes and in your days, the voice of mirth and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom and the voice of the bride.

ܘܐܢ ܬܚܘܐ ܠܥܡܐ ܗܢܐ ܗܠܝܢ ܟܠܗܘܢ ܦܬܓ̈ܡܐ ܢܐܡܪܘܢ ܠܟ ܡܛܠ ܡܢܐ ܐܡܪ ܡܪܝܐ ܥܠܝܢ ܟܠܗ̇ ܒܝܫܬܐ ܗܕܐ ܪܒܬܐ ܡܢܐ ܚܒܢ ܘܡܢܐ ܗܝ ܚܛܝܬܢ ܕܚܛܝܢ ܠܡܪܝܐ ܐܠܗܢ
'lhn lmry' dkhTyn khTythn hy wmn' khbn mn' rbth' hd' byshth' klh elyn mry' 'mr mn' mTl lk n'mrwn pthgm' klhwn hlyn hn' lem' thkhw' w'n
It will happen, when you tell this people all these words, and they ask you, ‘Why has Yahweh pronounced all this great evil against us?’ or ‘What is our iniquity?’ or ‘What is our sin that we have committed against Yahweh our God?’

ܐܡܪ ܠܗܘܢ ܥܠ ܕܫܒܩܘܢܝ ܐ̈ܒܗܝܟܘܢ ܐܡܪ ܡܪܝܐ ܘܐܙܠܘ ܒܬܪ ܐ̈ܠܗܐ ܐܚܪ̈ܢܐ ܘܦܠܚܘ ܐܢܘܢ ܘܣܓܕܘ ܠܗܘܢ ܘܠܝ ܫܒܩܘ ܘܢܡܘܣܝ ܠܐ ܢܛܪܘ
nTrw l' wnmwsy shbqw wly lhwn wsgdw 'nwn wplkhw 'khrn' 'lh' bthr w'zlw mry' 'mr 'bhykwn dshbqwny el lhwn 'mr
then you shall tell them, ‘Because your fathers have forsaken me,’ says Yahweh, ‘and have walked after other gods, have served them, have worshiped them, have forsaken me, and have not kept my law.

ܘܐܢܬܘܢ ܐܒܐܫܬܘܢ ܠܡܥܒܕ ܝܬܝܪ ܡܢ ܐ̈ܒܗܝܟܘܢ ܘܗܐ ܐܙܠܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܓܒܪ ܒܬܪ ܨܒܝܢ̈ܝ ܠܒܟܘܢ ܒܝܫܐ ܕܠܐ ܬܫܡܥܘܢܢܝ
thshmewnny dl' bysh' lbkwn tsbyny bthr gbr 'nthwn 'zlyn wh' 'bhykwn mn ythyr lmebd 'b'shthwn w'nthwn
You have done evil more than your fathers, for behold, you each walk after the stubbornness of his evil heart, so that you don’t listen to me.

ܘܐܫܕܝܟܘܢ ܡܢ ܐܪܥܐ ܗܕܐ ܠܐܪܥܐ ܕܠܐ ܝܕܥܬܘܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܘܐ̈ܒܗܝܟܘܢ ܘܬܦܠܚܘܢ ܬܡܢ ܠܐ̈ܠܗܐ ܐܚܪ̈ܢܐ ܒܐܝܡܡܐ ܘܒܠܠܝܐ ܘܠܐ ܐܬܠܟܘܢ ܠܪ̈ܚܡܐ
lrkhm' 'thlkwn wl' wblly' b'ymm' 'khrn' l'lh' thmn wthplkhwn w'bhykwn 'nthwn ydethwn dl' l're' hd' 're' mn w'shdykwn
Therefore I will cast you out of this land into the land that you have not known, neither you nor your fathers. There you will serve other gods day and night, for I will show you no favor.’

ܡܛܠ ܗܢܐ ܗܐ ܝܘܡ̈ܬܐ ܐܬܝܢ ܐܡܪ ܡܪܝܐ ܘܠܐ ܢܬܐܡܪ ܬܘܒ ܚܝ ܗܘ ܡܪܝܐ ܕܐܣܩ ܠܕܒܝܬ ܐܝܣܪܝܠ ܡܢ ܐܪܥܐ ܕܡܨܪܝܢ
dmtsryn 're' mn 'ysryl ldbyth d'sq mry' hw khy thwb nth'mr wl' mry' 'mr 'thyn ywmth' h' hn' mTl
“Therefore behold, the days come,” says Yahweh, “that it will no more be said, ‘As Yahweh lives, who brought up the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt;’

ܐܠܐ ܚܝ ܗܘ ܡܪܝܐ ܕܢܣܩ ܘܢܝܬܐ ܠܕܒܝܬ ܐܝܣܪܝܠ ܡܢ ܐܪܥܐ ܕܓܪܒܝܐ ܘܡܢ ܟܠ ܐܬܪ̈ܘܬܐ ܕܕܚܩܬ ܐܢܘܢ ܠܬܡܢ ܘܐܗܦܟ ܐܢܘܢ ܠܐܪܥܗܘܢ ܕܝܗܒܬ ܠܐ̈ܒܗܝܗܘܢ
l'bhyhwn dyhbth l'rehwn 'nwn w'hpk lthmn 'nwn ddkhqth 'thrwth' kl wmn dgrby' 're' mn 'ysryl ldbyth wnyth' dnsq mry' hw khy 'l'
but, ‘As Yahweh lives, who brought up the children of Israel from the land of the north, and from all the countries where he had driven them.’ I will bring them again into their land that I gave to their fathers.

ܗܐ ܡܫܕܪ ܐܢܐ ܠܨ̈ܝܕܐ ܣܓ̈ܝܐܐ ܐܡ̇ܪ ܡܪܝܐ ܘܢܨܘܕܘܢ ܐܢܘܢ ܘܒܬܪܟܢ ܐܫܕܪ ܠܨ̈ܝܕܐ ܣܓ̈ܝܐܐ ܘܢܨܘܕܘܢ ܐܢܘܢ ܡܢ ܟܠ ܛܘܪ ܘܡܢ ܟܠ ܪܡܐ ܘܡܢ ܢܩ̈ܥܐ ܕܫܩ̈ܝܦܐ
dshqyp' nqe' wmn rm' kl wmn Twr kl mn 'nwn wntswdwn sgy'' ltsyd' 'shdr wbthrkn 'nwn wntswdwn mry' 'mr sgy'' ltsyd' 'n' mshdr h'
“Behold, I will send for many fishermen,” says Yahweh, “and they will fish them up. Afterward I will send for many hunters, and they will hunt them from every mountain, from every hill, and out of the clefts of the rocks.

ܡܛܠ ܕܥܝܢ̈ܝ ܥܠ ܟܘܠܗܝܢ ܐܘܪ̈ܚܬܗܘܢ ܘܠܐ ܛܫܝܢ ܡܢ ܩܕܡܝ ܘܠܐ ܡܬܛܫܐ ܥܘܠܗܘܢ ܡܢ ܩܕܡ ܥܝܢ̈ܝ
eyny qdm mn ewlhwn mthTsh' wl' qdmy mn Tshyn wl' 'wrkhthhwn kwlhyn el deyny mTl
For my eyes are on all their ways. They are not hidden from my face. Their iniquity isn’t concealed from my eyes.

ܘܐܦܪܘܥ ܐܢܘܢ ܩܕܡܝܬ ܚܕ ܬܪ̈ܝܢ ܚ̈ܘܒܝܗܘܢ ܘܚ̈ܛܗܝܗܘܢ ܥܠ ܕܛܘ̇ܫܘ ܐܪܥܝ ܒܕܒܚ̈ܐ ܕܦܬܟܪ̈ܝܗܘܢ ܘܒܛܢ̈ܦܘܬܗܘܢ ܡܠܘ ܝܪܬܘܬܝ
yrthwthy mlw wbTnpwthhwn dpthkryhwn bdbkh' 'rey dTwshw el wkhThyhwn khwbyhwn thryn khd qdmyth 'nwn w'prwe
First I will recompense their iniquity and their sin double, because they have polluted my land with the carcasses of their detestable things, and have filled my inheritance with their abominations.”

ܡܪܝܐ ܚܝܠܝ ܘܡܥܕܪܢܝ ܘܒܝܬ ܓܘܣܝ ܒܝܘܡܐ ܕܐܘܠܨܢܐ ܠܘܬܟ ܥܡ̈ܡܐ ܢܐܬܘܢ ܡܢ ܣ̈ܘܦܝܗ̇ ܕܐܪܥܐ ܘܢܐܡܪܘܢ ܫܪܝܪܐܝܬ ܦܬܟܪ̈ܐ ܕܕܓܠܘܬܐ ܕܐܘܪܬܘܢ ܐ̈ܒܗܝܢ ܠܐ ܡܕܡ ܐܢܘܢ ܘܠܝܬ ܒܗܘܢ ܝܘܬܪܢ
ywthrn bhwn wlyth 'nwn mdm l' 'bhyn d'wrthwn ddglwth' pthkr' shryr'yth wn'mrwn d're' swpyh mn n'thwn emm' lwthk d'wltsn' bywm' gwsy wbyth wmedrny khyly mry'
Yahweh, my strength, my stronghold, and my refuge in the day of affliction, the nations will come to you from the ends of the earth, and will say, “Our fathers have inherited nothing but lies, vanity and things in which there is no profit.

ܗܐ ܒܢ̈ܝ ܐܢܫܐ ܥܒܕܝܢ ܠܗܘܢ ܐ̈ܠܗܐ ܘܗܢܘܢ ܠܐ ܗܘܘ ܐ̈ܠܗܐ
'lh' hww l' whnwn 'lh' lhwn ebdyn 'nsh' bny h'
Should a man make to himself gods which yet are no gods?”

ܡܛܠ ܗܢܐ ܗܐ ܡܚܘܐ ܐܢܐ ܠܗܘܢ ܘܒܙܒܢܐ ܗܢܐ ܐܘܕܥ ܐܢܘܢ ܐܝܕܝ ܘܓܢܒܪܘܬܝ ܘܢܕܥܘܢ ܕܡܪܝܐ ܫܡܢܝ

“Therefore behold, I will cause them to know, this once I will cause them to know my hand and my might. Then they will know that my name is Yahweh.”
