ܙܕܝܩ ܐܢܬ ܡܪܝܐ ܕܐܕܘܢ ܥܡܟ ܒܪܡ ܕܝܢܐ ܡܡܠܠ ܐܢܐ ܩܕܡܝܟ ܡܛܠ ܡܢܐ ܐܘܪܚܗ ܕܪܫܝܥܐ ܡܨܠܚܐ ܘܟܗܝ̈ܢܝܢ ܟܠܗܘܢ ܫܩܪ̈ܐ
shqr' klhwn wkhynyn mtslkh' drshye' 'wrkhh mn' mTl qdmyk 'n' mmll dyn' brm emk d'dwn mry' 'nth zdyq
You are righteous, Yahweh, when I contend with you; yet I would like to plead a case with you. Why does the way of the wicked prosper? Why are they all at ease who deal very treacherously?

ܢܨܒܬ ܐܢܘܢ ܘܐܫܪܘ ܥܩܪ̈ܝܗܘܢ ܩܢܘ ܘܐܦ ܥܒܕܘ ܦܐܪ̈ܐ ܩܪܝܒ ܐܢܬ ܒܦܘܡܗܘܢ ܘܪܚܝܩ ܐܢܬ ܡܢ ܟܘ̈ܠܝܬܗܘܢ
kwlythhwn mn 'nth wrkhyq bpwmhwn 'nth qryb p'r' ebdw w'p qnw eqryhwn w'shrw 'nwn ntsbth
You have planted them. Yes, they have taken root. They grow. Yes, they produce fruit. You are near in their mouth, and far from their heart.

ܘܐܢܬ ܡܪܝܐ ܝܕܥܬܢܝ ܘܚܙܝܬܢܝ ܘܒܚܪܬ ܠܒܝ ܩܕܡܝܟ ܛܝܒ ܐܢܘܢ ܐܝܟ ܥܢܐ ܠܢܟܣܬܐ ܘܙܡܢ ܐܢܘܢ ܠܝܘܡ ܩܛܠܐ
qTl' lywm 'nwn wzmn lnksth' en' 'yk 'nwn Tyb qdmyk lby wbkhrth wkhzythny ydethny mry' w'nth
But you, Yahweh, know me. You see me, and test my heart toward you. Pull them out like sheep for the slaughter, and prepare them for the day of slaughter.

ܥܕܡܐ ܠܐܡܬܝ ܬܬܐܒܠ ܐܪܥܐ ܘܥܣܒܐ ܟܠܗ ܕܚܩܠܐ ܝܒܫ ܡܢ ܒܝܫܬܐ ܕܥܡܘܪ̈ܝܗ̇ ܣܦܬ ܒܥܝܪܐ ܘܦܪܚܬܐ ܕܐܡܪܘ ܠܐ ܢܚܙܐ ܚܪܬܢ
khrthn nkhz' l' d'mrw wprkhth' beyr' spth demwryh byshth' mn ybsh dkhql' klh wesb' 're' thth'bl l'mthy edm'
How long will the land mourn, and the herbs of the whole country wither? Because of the wickedness of those who dwell therein, the animals and birds are consumed; because they said, “He won’t see our latter end.”

ܗܐ ܥܡ ܪ̈ܓܠܝܐ ܪܗܛܬ ܘܐܠܐܝܘܟ ܘܐܝܟܢܐ ܡܬܚܪܐ ܐܢܬ ܥܡ ܪ̈ܟܫܐ ܘܒܐܪܥܐ ܕܫܠܡܐ ܬܟܝܠ ܐܢܬ ܘܐܝܟܢܐ ܥܒܪ ܐܢܬ ܒܥܘܫܢܗ ܕܝܘܪܕܢܢ

“If you have run with the footmen, and they have wearied you, then how can you contend with horses? Though in a land of peace you are secure, yet how will you do in the pride of the Jordan?

ܡܛܠ ܕܐܦ ܐܚ̈ܝܟ ܘܒܝܬ ܐܒܘܟ ܐܦ ܗܢܘܢ ܕܓܠܘ ܒܟ ܐܦ ܗܢܘܢ ܐܡܪܘ ܒܬܪܟ ܡ̈ܠܐ ܠܐ ܬܗܝܡܢ ܐܢܘܢ ܟܕ ܢܡܠܠܘܢ ܥܠܝܟ ܛܒܬܐ
Tbth' elyk nmllwn kd 'nwn thhymn l' ml' bthrk 'mrw hnwn 'p bk dglw hnwn 'p 'bwk wbyth 'khyk d'p mTl
For even your brothers, and the house of your father, even they have dealt treacherously with you! Even they have cried aloud after you! Don’t believe them, though they speak beautiful words to you.

ܫܒܩܬ ܒܝܬܝ ܫܒܩܬ ܝܪܬܘܬܝ ܝܗܒܬ ܚܒܝܒܬ ܢܦܫܝ ܒܐܝܕܐ ܕܒ̈ܥܠܕܒܒܝܗ̇

“I have forsaken my house. I have cast off my heritage. I have given the dearly beloved of my soul into the hand of her enemies.

ܗܘܬ ܠܝ ܝܪܬܘܬܝ ܐܝܟ ܐܪܝܐ ܒܥܒܐ ܐܪܝܡܬ ܥܠܝ ܒܩܠܗ̇ ܡܛܠ ܗܢܐ ܣܢܝܬܗ̇

My heritage has become to me as a lion in the forest. She has uttered her voice against me. Therefore I have hated her.

ܛܝܪܐ ܡܨܝܪܬܐ ܗܘܬ ܠܝ ܝܪܬܘܬܝ ܘܛܝܪܐ ܚܕܪ̈ܐ ܠܗ̇ ܙܠܘ ܟܢܫܘ ܟܠܗ̇ ܚܝܘܬܐ ܕܕܒܪܐ ܐܝܬܘ ܠܡܐܟܠܗ̇
lm'klh 'ythw ddbr' khywth' klh knshw zlw lh khdr' wTyr' yrthwthy ly hwth mtsyrth' Tyr'
Is my heritage to me as a speckled bird of prey? Are the birds of prey against her all around? Go, assemble all the animals of the field. Bring them to devour.

ܪ̈ܥܘܬܐ ܣ̈ܓܝܐܐ ܚܒܠܘ ܟܪܡܝ ܕܫܘ ܦܠܓܘܬܝ ܥܒܕܘ ܦܠܓܘܬܐ ܕܪܓܬܝ ܐܝܟ ܡܕܒܪܐ ܚܪܒܐ
khrb' mdbr' 'yk drgthy plgwth' ebdw plgwthy dshw krmy khblw sgy'' rewth'
Many shepherds have destroyed my vineyard. They have trodden my portion under foot. They have made my pleasant portion a desolate wilderness.

ܐܨܕܝܘ ܘܐܚܪܒܘܗ̇ ܐܬܐܒܠܬ ܥܠܝ ܚܪܒܬܐ ܨܕܬ ܟܠܗ̇ ܐܪܥܐ ܡܛܠ ܕܠܝܬ ܐܢܫ ܕܡܝܬܐ ܥܠ ܒܠܗ
blh el dmyth' 'nsh dlyth mTl 're' klh tsdth khrbth' ely 'th'blth w'khrbwh 'tsdyw
They have made it a desolation. It mourns to me, being desolate. The whole land is made desolate, because no one cares.

ܥܠ ܟܠܗܘܢ ܫ̈ܒܝܠܐ ܕܡܕܒܪܐ ܐܬܘ ܒܙܘ̈ܙܐ ܡܛܠ ܕܚܪܒܗ ܕܡܪܝܐ ܐܟܠܐ ܡܢ ܣܘ̈ܦܝܗ̇ ܕܐܪܥܐ ܘܥܕܡܐ ܠܣܘ̈ܦܝܗ ܕܐܪܥܐ ܘܠܝܬ ܫܠܡܐ ܠܟܠ ܒܣܪ

Destroyers have come on all the bare heights in the wilderness; for the sword of Yahweh devours from the one end of the land even to the other end of the land. No flesh has peace.

ܙܪܘܥܘ ܚ̈ܛܐ ܘܚܨܘܕܘ ܟܘܒ̈ܐ ܘܠܐܘ ܘܡܕܡ ܠܐ ܡܘܬܪܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܘܒܗܬܘ ܡܢ ܥ̈ܠܠܬܟܘܢ ܡܛܠ ܚܡܬܐ ܕܪܘܓܙܗ ܕܡܪܝܐ
dmry' drwgzh khmth' mTl ellthkwn mn wbhthw 'nthwn mwthryn l' wmdm wl'w kwb' wkhtswdw khT' zrwew
They have sown wheat, and have reaped thorns. They have exhausted themselves, and profit nothing. You will be ashamed of your fruits, because of Yahweh’s fierce anger.”

ܗܟܢܐ ܐܡܪ ܡܪܝܐ ܥܠ ܟܠܗܘܢ ܫ̈ܒܒܝ ܪ̈ܥܘܬܐ ܕܩܪܒܘ ܒܝܪܬܘܬܐ ܕܐܘܪܬܬ ܠܥܡܝ ܐܝܣܪܐܝܠ ܗܐ ܥܩܪ ܐܢܐ ܠܗܘܢ ܡܢ ܐܬܪܗܘܢ ܘܠܕܒܝܬ ܝܗܘܕܐ ܐܥܩܘܪ ܡܢ ܒܝܢܬܗܘܢ
bynthhwn mn 'eqwr yhwd' wldbyth 'thrhwn mn lhwn 'n' eqr h' 'ysr'yl lemy d'wrthth byrthwth' dqrbw rewth' shbby klhwn el mry' 'mr hkn'
Yahweh says, “Concerning all my evil neighbors, who touch the inheritance which I have caused my people Israel to inherit: Behold, I will pluck them up from off their land, and will pluck up the house of Judah from among them.

ܘܡܢ ܒܬܪ ܕܐܥܩܘܪ ܐܢܘܢ ܐܬܘܒ ܘܐܪܚܡ ܥܠܝܗܘܢ ܘܐܗܦܟ ܐܢܘܢ ܓܒܪ ܠܝܪܬܘܬܗ ܘܓܒܪ ܠܐܪܥܗ
l'reh wgbr lyrthwthh gbr 'nwn w'hpk elyhwn w'rkhm 'thwb 'nwn d'eqwr bthr wmn
It will happen that after I have plucked them up, I will return and have compassion on them. I will bring them again, every man to his heritage, and every man to his land.

ܘܐܢ ܢܠܦܘܢ ܐܘܪ̈ܚܬܝ ܠܥܡܝ ܕܢܐܡܘܢ ܒܫܡܝ ܚܝ ܗܘ ܡܪܝܐ ܐܝܟ ܕܐܠܦܘ ܠܥܡܝ ܕܢܐܡܘܢ ܒܒܥܠܐ ܢܬܒܘܢ ܒܓܘ ܥܡܝ

It will happen, if they will diligently learn the ways of my people, to swear by my name, ‘As Yahweh lives;’ even as they taught my people to swear by Baal, then they will be built up in the middle of my people.
