קבילו ית פתגמא דמליל יי עליכון בית ישראל:
yshral byth elykwn yy dmlyl pthgma yth qbylw
Hear the word which Yahweh speaks to you, house of Israel!

כדנן אמר יי מאורחת עממיא לא תילפון ומאתון דמשתנין בשמיא לא תתברון ארי מתברין עממיא מנהון:
mnhwn emmya mthbryn ary ththbrwn la bshmya dmshthnyn wmathwn thylpwn la emmya mawrkhth yy amr kdnn
Yahweh says, “Don’t learn the way of the nations, and don’t be dismayed at the signs of the sky; for the nations are dismayed at them.

ארי גזירת עממיא למא אינון ארי אעא מחורשא קיץ ליה עובד ידי נגר בחצינא:
bkhtsyna ngr ydy ewbd lyh qyts mkhwrsha aea ary aynwn lma emmya gzyrth ary
For the customs of the peoples are vanity; for one cuts a tree out of the forest, the work of the hands of the workman with the ax.

בכספא ובדהבא חפי ליה במסמרין ובמקבין מתקיף ליה דלא יצטלי:
ytsTly dla lyh mthqyp wbmqbyn bmsmryn lyh khpy wbdhba bkspa
They deck it with silver and with gold. They fasten it with nails and with hammers, so that it can’t move.

עובד נגיד זקיפין אינון ולא ממללין אתנטלא יתנטלון ארי לית בהון רוחא להלכא לא תדחלון מנהון ארי לא מבאשין ואף לאיטבא לית אינון ידעין:
ydeyn aynwn lyth layTba wap mbashyn la ary mnhwn thdkhlwn la lhlka rwkha bhwn lyth ary ythnTlwn athnTla mmllyn wla aynwn zqypyn ngyd ewbd
They are like a palm tree, of turned work, and don’t speak. They must be carried, because they can’t move. Don’t be afraid of them; for they can’t do evil, neither is it in them to do good.”

לית בר מנך יי רב את ורב שמך בגברותא:
bgbrwtha shmk wrb ath rb yy mnk br lyth
There is no one like you, Yahweh. You are great, and your name is great in might.

מן לא ידחל מן קדמך מלך על כל עממיא ארי דילך היא מלכותא ארי בכל חכימי עממיא ובכל מלכותהון לית בר מנך:
mnk br lyth mlkwthhwn wbkl emmya khkymy bkl ary mlkwtha hya dylk ary emmya kl el mlk qdmk mn ydkhl la mn
Who shouldn’t fear you, King of the nations? For it belongs to you. Because among all the wise men of the nations, and in all their royal estate, there is no one like you.

ובחדא יחובון עממיא פלחי כוכביא על דאטפשו על דפלחו לטעותא דלמא אינון:
aynwn dlma lTewtha dplkhw el daTpshw el kwkbya plkhy emmya ykhwbwn wbkhda
But they are together brutish and foolish, instructed by idols! It is just wood.

כספא דמחפן מאפריקא מיתן ודהבא מאופיר עובד נגר וידי קיני תכלא וארגונא לבושהון עובד חכימין כולהון:
kwlhwn khkymyn ewbd lbwshhwn wargwna thkla qyny wydy ngr ewbd mawpyr wdhba mythn mapryqa dmkhpn kspa
There is silver beaten into plates, which is brought from Tarshish, and gold from Uphaz, the work of the engraver and of the hands of the goldsmith. Their clothing is blue and purple. They are all the work of skillful men.

ויי אלהים קשוט הוא אלה קים ומלך עלמין מרוגזיה תזוע ארעא ולא יכלין עממיא לסוברא רוגזיה:
rwgzyh lswbra emmya yklyn wla area thzwe mrwgzyh elmyn wmlk qym alh hwa qshwT alhym wyy
But Yahweh is the true God. He is the living God, and an everlasting King. At his wrath, the earth trembles. The nations aren’t able to withstand his indignation.

דנא פתשגן אגרתא דשלח ירמיה נביא לות שאר סבי גלותא די בבבל ואם ימרון לכון כשדאי דאתון ביניהון פלחו לטעותא בית ישראל כדין תתיבו וכדין תימרון להון טעון דאתון פלחין להון טעות דלית בהון צרוך אינון מן שמיא לא יכלין לאחתא מטרא ומן ארעא לא יכלין לצמחא פרין אינון ופלחיהון ייבדו מארעא וישתיצון מן תחות שמיא אלין:
alyn shmya thkhwth mn wyshthytswn marea yybdw wplkhyhwn aynwn pryn ltsmkha yklyn la area wmn mTra lakhtha yklyn la shmya mn aynwn tsrwk bhwn dlyth Tewth lhwn plkhyn dathwn Tewn lhwn thymrwn wkdyn ththybw kdyn yshral byth lTewtha plkhw bynyhwn dathwn kshday lkwn ymrwn wam bbbl dy glwtha sby shar lwth nbya yrmyh dshlkh agrtha pthshgn dna
“You shall say this to them: ‘The gods that have not made the heavens and the earth will perish from the earth, and from under the heavens.’”

וכדנא תימרון להון אנחנא פלחין לדעביד ארעא בחילי שכליל תבל בחוכמתיה בסוכלתנותיה תלא שמיא:
shmya thla bswklthnwthyh bkhwkmthyh thbl shklyl bkhyly area ldebyd plkhyn ankhna lhwn thymrwn wkdna
God has made the earth by his power. He has established the world by his wisdom, and by his understanding has he stretched out the heavens.

לקל מתניה רכפת דמיין בשמיא ומסיק עננין מסיפי ארעא ברקין לזמן מטרא עבד ומפיק רוחין מבית גנזוהי:
gnzwhy mbyth rwkhyn wmpyq ebd mTra lzmn brqyn area msypy ennyn wmsyq bshmya dmyyn rkpth mthnyh lql
When he utters his voice, the waters in the heavens roar, and he causes the vapors to ascend from the ends of the earth. He makes lightnings for the rain, and brings the wind out of his treasuries.

אתברו כל פלחי כוכביא מלמידע חכמא בהית כל קיני מלמעבד צלם ארי שקרא אתכונון ולא רוחא בהין:
bhyn rwkha wla athkwnwn shqra ary tslm mlmebd qyny kl bhyth khkma mlmyde kwkbya plkhy kl athbrw
Every man has become brutish and without knowledge. Every goldsmith is disappointed by his engraved image; for his molten image is falsehood, and there is no breath in them.

למא אינון עובד תולעבא בעדן דאסער עליהון חוביהון ייבדון:
yybdwn khwbyhwn elyhwn daser bedn thwleba ewbd aynwn lma
They are vanity, a work of delusion. In the time of their visitation they will perish.
16
לא כאלין חולקיה דיעקב ארי דברא כולא הוא וישראל שבטא דאחסנתיה יי צבאות שמיה:
shmyh tsbawth yy dakhsnthyh shbTa wyshral hwa kwla dbra ary dyeqb khwlqyh kalyn la
The portion of Jacob is not like these; for he is the maker of all things; and Israel is the tribe of his inheritance. Yahweh of Armies is his name.
17
כנושי מארעא סחורתיך דיתבא בתוקפא בקרוין כריכן:
krykn bqrwyn bthwqpa dythba skhwrthyk marea knwshy
Gather up your wares out of the land, you who live under siege.

ארי כדנן אמר יי הא אנא מיתי עקא על עמא הדין וכמה דשרן אבנא בקלעא כן אבדר ית יתבי ארעא בזמנא הדא ואעיק להון בדיל דיקבלון פורענות חוביהון:
khwbyhwn pwrenwth dyqblwn bdyl lhwn waeyq hda bzmna area ythby yth abdr kn bqlea abna dshrn wkmh hdyn ema el eqa mythy ana ha yy amr kdnn ary
For Yahweh says, “Behold, I will sling out the inhabitants of the land at this time, and will distress them, that they may feel it.”
19
וי לי על תברי ממרעא מחתי ואנא אמרית ברם דין מרעי ואסובריניה:
waswbrynyh mrey dyn brm amryth wana mkhthy mmrea thbry el ly wy
Woe is me because of my injury! My wound is serious; but I said, “Truly this is my grief, and I must bear it.”

ארעי חרובת וכל קרוי אתבזיזא עמי גלו וליתינון לית דמתח עוד משכני ומקים יריעתי:
yryethy wmqym mshkny ewd dmthkh lyth wlythynwn glw emy athbzyza qrwy wkl khrwbth arey
My tent has been destroyed, and all my cords are broken. My children have gone away from me, and they are no more. There is no one to spread my tent any more, to set up my curtains.
21
ארי אטפשו מלכיא ואולפן מן קדם יי לא תבעו על כן לא יצלחון וכל עמהון יתבדרון:
ythbdrwn emhwn wkl ytslkhwn la kn el thbew la yy qdm mn wawlpn mlkya aTpshw ary
For the shepherds have become brutish, and have not inquired of Yahweh. Therefore they have not prospered, and all their flocks have scattered.
22
קל בשורתא הא אתיא ותברא רבא מארע צפונא לשואה ית קרויא דבית יהודה לצדו מדור ירודין:
yrwdyn mdwr ltsdw yhwdh dbyth qrwya yth lshwah tspwna mare rba wthbra athya ha bshwrtha ql
The voice of news, behold, it comes, and a great commotion out of the north country, to make the cities of Judah a desolation, a dwelling place of jackals.

ידענא יי ארי לא לאנשא אורחיה ולא לגבר דאזיל ומתקין ית פסיעתיה:
psyethyh yth wmthqyn dazyl lgbr wla awrkhyh lansha la ary yy ydena
Yahweh, I know that the way of man is not in himself. It is not in man who walks to direct his steps.

איתי עליהון יסורין יי ברם בדין חשוך לא יתקף רוגזך בהון דלמא יזערון:
yzerwn dlma bhwn rwgzk ythqp la khshwk bdyn brm yy yswryn elyhwn aythy
Yahweh, correct me, but gently; not in your anger, lest you reduce me to nothing.

שפוך חימתך על עממיא דלא אליפו למידע דחלתך ועל זרעיתא דכשדאי די בפולחן שמך לא תבעו ארי שליטו בדבית יעקב ובזו נכסהון ושיציאונון וית מדורהון אצדיאו:
atsdyaw mdwrhwn wyth wshytsyawnwn nkshwn wbzw yeqb bdbyth shlyTw ary thbew la shmk bpwlkhn dy dkshday zreytha wel dkhlthk lmyde alypw dla emmya el khymthk shpwk
Pour out your wrath on the nations that don’t know you, and on the families that don’t call on your name; for they have devoured Jacob. Yes, they have devoured him, consumed him, and have laid waste his habitation.
