ܐܘ ܥܬܝܪܐ ܐܝܠܠܘ ܘܒܟܘ ܥܠ ܕܘܘܢܐ ܕܐܬܝܢ ܥܠܝܟܘܢ
elykwn d'thyn dwwn' el wbkw 'yllw ethyr' 'w
Come now, you rich, weep and howl for your miseries that are coming on you.

ܥܘܬܪܟܘܢ ܓܝܪ ܐܬܚܒܠ ܘܣܪܝ ܘܡܐܢܝܟܘܢ ܐܬܐܟܠܘ ܡܢ ܣܣܐ
ss' mn 'th'klw wm'nykwn wsry 'thkhbl gyr ewthrkwn
Your riches are corrupted and your garments are moth-eaten.

ܘܕܗܒܟܘܢ ܘܣܐܡܟܘܢ ܐܫܚܬ ܠܗ ܘܫܘܚܬܗܘܢ ܗܘܝܐ ܠܣܗܕܘܬܐ ܥܠܝܟܘܢ ܘܗܝ ܥܬܝܕܐ ܕܬܐܟܘܠ ܒܣܪܟܘܢ ܢܘܪܐ ܟܢܫܬܘܢ ܠܟܘܢ ܠܝܘܡܬܐ ܐܚܪܝܐ
'khry' lywmth' lkwn knshthwn nwr' bsrkwn dth'kwl ethyd' why elykwn lshdwth' hwy' wshwkhthhwn lh 'shkhth ws'mkwn wdhbkwn
Your gold and your silver are corroded, and their corrosion will be for a testimony against you, and will eat your flesh like fire. You have laid up your treasure in the last days.

ܗܐ ܐܓܪܐ ܕܦܥܠܐ ܕܚܨܕܘ ܐܪܥܬܟܘܢ ܗܘ ܕܛܠܡܬܘܢ ܩܥܐ ܘܓܥܬܐ ܕܚܨܘܕܐ ܠܐܕܢܘܗܝ ܕܡܪܝܐ ܨܒܐܘܬ ܥܠܬ
elth tsb'wth dmry' l'dnwhy dkhtswd' wgeth' qe' dTlmthwn hw 'rethkwn dkhtsdw dpel' 'gr' h'
Behold, the wages of the laborers who mowed your fields, which you have kept back by fraud, cry out, and the cries of those who reaped have entered into the ears of the Lord of Armies.

ܒܣܡܬܘܢ ܓܝܪ ܥܠ ܐܪܥܐ ܘܐܬܠܥܒܬܘܢ ܘܬܪܣܝܬܘܢ ܦܓܪܝܟܘܢ ܐܝܟ ܕܠܝܘܡܐ ܕܢܟܣܬܐ

You have lived in luxury on the earth, and taken your pleasure. You have nourished your hearts as in a day of slaughter.

ܚܝܒܬܘܢ ܘܩܛܠܬܘܢ ܠܙܕܝܩܐ ܘܠܐ ܩܡ ܠܘܩܒܠܟܘܢ
lwqblkwn qm wl' lzdyq' wqTlthwn khybthwn
You have condemned, you have murdered the righteous one. He doesn’t resist you.

ܐܢܬܘܢ ܕܝܢ ܐܚܝ ܐܓܪܘ ܪܘܚܟܘܢ ܥܕܡܐ ܠܡܐܬܝܬܗ ܕܡܪܝܐ ܐܝܟ ܐܟܪܐ ܕܡܣܟܐ ܠܦܐܪܐ ܝܩܝܪܐ ܕܐܪܥܗ ܘܡܓܪ ܪܘܚܗ ܥܠܝܗܘܢ ܥܕܡܐ ܕܢܣܒ ܡܛܪܐ ܒܟܝܪܝܐ ܘܠܩܝܫܝܐ
wlqyshy' bkyry' mTr' dnsb edm' elyhwn rwkhh wmgr d'reh yqyr' lp'r' dmsk' 'kr' 'yk dmry' lm'thythh edm' rwkhkwn 'grw 'khy dyn 'nthwn
Be patient therefore, brothers, until the coming of the Lord. Behold, the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth, being patient over it, until it receives the early and late rain.

ܗܟܢܐ ܐܦ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܐܓܪܘ ܪܘܚܟܘܢ ܘܠܒܘܬܟܘܢ ܫܪܪܘ ܩܪܒܬ ܠܗ ܓܝܪ ܡܐܬܝܬܗ ܕܡܪܢ
dmrn m'thythh gyr lh qrbth shrrw wlbwthkwn rwkhkwn 'grw 'nthwn 'p hkn'
You also be patient. Establish your hearts, for the coming of the Lord is at hand.

ܠܐ ܬܬܢܚܘܢ ܚܕ ܥܠ ܚܕ ܐܚܝ ܕܠܐ ܬܬܕܝܢܘܢ ܗܐ ܓܝܪ ܕܝܢܐ ܩܕܡ ܬܪܥܐ ܩܐܡ
q'm thre' qdm dyn' gyr h' ththdynwn dl' 'khy khd el khd ththnkhwn l'
Don’t grumble, brothers, against one another, so that you won’t be judged. Behold, the judge stands at the door.

ܕܡܘܬܐ ܠܢܒܝܐ ܣܒܘ ܠܟܘܢ ܐܚܝ ܠܡܓܪܬ ܪܘܚܐ ܕܐܘܠܨܢܝܟܘܢ ܗܢܘܢ ܕܡܠܠܘ ܒܫܡܗ ܕܡܪܝܐ
dmry' bshmh dmllw hnwn d'wltsnykwn rwkh' lmgrth 'khy lkwn sbw lnby' dmwth'
Take, brothers, for an example of suffering and of perseverance, the prophets who spoke in the name of the Lord.

ܗܐ ܓܝܪ ܝܗܒܝܢܢ ܛܘܒܐ ܠܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܣܝܒܪܘ ܫܡܥܬܘܢ ܡܣܝܒܪܢܘܬܗ ܕܐܝܘܒ ܘܚܪܬܐ ܕܥܒܕ ܠܗ ܡܪܝܐ ܚܙܝܬܘܢ ܡܛܠ ܕܡܪܚܡܢ ܗܘ ܡܪܝܐ ܘܡܪܚܦܢ
wmrkhpn mry' hw dmrkhmn mTl khzythwn mry' lh debd wkhrth' d'ywb msybrnwthh shmethwn dsybrw l'ylyn Twb' yhbynn gyr h'
Behold, we call them blessed who endured. You have heard of the perseverance of Job, and have seen the Lord in the outcome, and how the Lord is full of compassion and mercy.

ܩܕܡ ܟܠ ܡܕܡ ܕܝܢ ܐܚܝ ܠܐ ܗܘܝܬܘܢ ܝܡܝܢ ܠܐ ܒܫܡܝܐ ܘܠܐ ܒܐܪܥܐ ܐܦܠܐ ܒܡܘܡܬܐ ܐܚܪܬܐ ܐܠܐ ܬܗܘܐ ܡܠܬܟܘܢ ܐܝܢ ܐܝܢ ܘܠܐ ܠܐ ܕܠܐ ܬܬܚܝܒܘܢ ܬܚܝܬ ܕܝܢܐ
dyn' thkhyth ththkhybwn dl' l' wl' 'yn 'yn mlthkwn thhw' 'l' 'khrth' bmwmth' 'pl' b're' wl' bshmy' l' ymyn hwythwn l' 'khy dyn mdm kl qdm
But above all things, my brothers, don’t swear— not by heaven, or by the earth, or by any other oath; but let your “yes” be “yes”, and your “no”, “no”; so that you don’t fall into hypocrisy.

ܘܐܢ ܐܢܫ ܡܢܟܘܢ ܢܗܘܐ ܒܐܘܠܨܢܐ ܢܗܘܐ ܡܨܠܐ ܘܐܢ ܚܕܐ ܢܗܘܐ ܡܙܡܪ
mzmr nhw' khd' w'n mtsl' nhw' b'wltsn' nhw' mnkwn 'nsh w'n
Is any among you suffering? Let him pray. Is any cheerful? Let him sing praises.

ܘܐܢ ܟܪܝܗ ܢܩܪܐ ܠܩܫܝܫܐ ܕܥܕܬܐ ܘܢܨܠܘܢ ܥܠܘܗܝ ܘܢܡܫܚܘܢܗ ܡܫܚܐ ܒܫܡܗ ܕܡܪܢ
dmrn bshmh mshkh' wnmshkhwnh elwhy wntslwn dedth' lqshysh' nqr' kryh w'n
Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord,

ܘܨܠܘܬܐ ܕܗܝܡܢܘܬܐ ܡܚܠܡܐ ܠܗ ܠܗܘ ܕܟܪܝܗ ܘܡܩܝܡ ܠܗ ܡܪܢ ܘܐܢ ܚܛܗܐ ܥܒܝܕܝܢ ܠܗ ܡܫܬܒܩܝܢ ܠܗ
lh mshthbqyn lh ebydyn khTh' w'n mrn lh wmqym dkryh lhw lh mkhlm' dhymnwth' wtslwth'
and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven.

ܗܘܝܬܘܢ ܕܝܢ ܡܘܕܝܢ ܣܟܠܘܬܟܘܢ ܚܕ ܠܚܕ ܘܗܘܝܬܘܢ ܡܨܠܝܢ ܚܕ ܥܠ ܚܕ ܕܬܬܐܣܘܢ ܪܒ ܗܘ ܓܝܪ ܚܝܠܗ ܕܨܠܘܬܐ ܐܝܕܐ ܕܙܕܝܩܐ ܡܨܠܐ ܠܗ
lh mtsl' dzdyq' 'yd' dtslwth' khylh gyr hw rb dthth'swn khd el khd mtslyn whwythwn lkhd khd sklwthkwn mwdyn dyn hwythwn
Confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective.

ܐܦ ܐܠܝܐ ܒܪܢܫܐ ܗܘܐ ܚܫܘܫܐ ܐܟܘܬܢ ܘܨܠܝ ܕܠܐ ܢܚܘܬ ܡܛܪܐ ܥܠ ܐܪܥܐ ܘܠܐ ܢܚܬ ܬܠܬ ܫܢܝܢ ܘܫܬܐ ܝܪܚܝܢ
yrkhyn wshth' shnyn thlth nkhth wl' 're' el mTr' nkhwth dl' wtsly 'kwthn khshwsh' hw' brnsh' 'ly' 'p
Elijah was a man with a nature like ours, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain, and it didn’t rain on the earth for three years and six months.

ܘܬܘܒ ܨܠܝ ܘܫܡܝܐ ܝܗܒܘ ܡܛܪܐ ܘܐܪܥܐ ܝܗܒܬ ܦܐܪܝܗ

He prayed again, and the sky gave rain, and the earth produced its fruit.

ܐܚܝ ܐܢ ܐܢܫ ܡܢܟܘܢ ܢܛܥܐ ܡܢ ܐܘܪܚܐ ܕܩܘܫܬܐ ܘܢܦܢܝܘܗܝ ܐܢܫ ܡܢ ܛܥܝܘܬܗ
Teywthh mn 'nsh wnpnywhy dqwshth' 'wrkh' mn nTe' mnkwn 'nsh 'n 'khy
Brothers, if any among you wanders from the truth and someone turns him back,

ܢܕܥ ܕܗܘ ܕܡܗܦܟ ܠܚܛܝܐ ܡܢ ܛܥܝܘܬܐ ܕܐܘܪܚܗ ܡܚܐ ܢܦܫܗ ܡܢ ܡܘܬܐ ܘܥܛܐ ܣܘܓܐܐ ܕܚܛܗܘܗܝ
dkhThwhy swg'' weT' mwth' mn npshh mkh' d'wrkhh Teywth' mn lkhTy' dmhpk dhw nde
let him know that he who turns a sinner from the error of his way will save a soul from death and will cover a multitude of sins.
