עמא בית ישראל דהוו מהלכין במצרים כדבקבלא נפקו למחזי נהור סגי יתבין בארעא טולימותא נהורא אזהר עליהון:
elyhwn azhr nhwra Twlymwtha barea ythbyn sgy nhwr lmkhzy npqw kdbqbla bmtsrym mhlkyn dhww yshral byth ema
But there shall be no more gloom for her who was in anguish. In the former time, he brought into contempt the land of Zebulun and the land of Naphtali; but in the latter time he has made it glorious, by the way of the sea, beyond the Jordan, Galilee of the nations.

אסגיתא עמא בית ישראל להון אסגיתא חדוא חדיאו קדמך כחדות נצחי קרב כמא דהוו חדן בפלגותהון בזתא:
bztha bplgwthhwn khdn dhww kma qrb ntskhy kkhdwth qdmk khdyaw khdwa asgytha lhwn yshral byth ema asgytha
The people who walked in darkness have seen a great light. The light has shined on those who lived in the land of the shadow of death.

ארי אעדיתא ית ניר מרותי וית שולטן עקתיה שלטון דהות מפלח ביה איתבר כיום מדין:
mdyn kywm aythbr byh mplkh dhwth shlTwn eqthyh shwlTn wyth mrwthy nyr yth aedytha ary
You have multiplied the nation. You have increased their joy. They rejoice before you according to the joy in harvest, as men rejoice when they divide the plunder.

ארי כל מסבהון ומתנהון ברשע אתגעלו בחובין הא ככסו דמלושא בדם דלא דכן רשמי כתמא מנה כן כמא דלית ביה צרוך אלהין לאתוקדא בנורא כן יתן עליהון עממיא דתקיפין כאשתא ויקטלונון:
wyqTlwnwn kashtha dthqypyn emmya elyhwn ythn kn bnwra lathwqda alhyn tsrwk byh dlyth kma kn mnh kthma rshmy dkn dla bdm dmlwsha kksw ha bkhwbyn athgelw brshe wmthnhwn msbhwn kl ary
For the yoke of his burden, and the staff of his shoulder, the rod of his oppressor, you have broken as in the day of Midian.

אמר נביא לבית דוד ארי רבי איתיליד לנא בר אתיהב לנא וקבל אוריתא עלוהי למטרה ואתקרי שמיה מן קדם מפליא עצה אלהא גברא קים לעלמיא משיחא דשלמא יסגי עלנא ביומוהי:
bywmwhy elna ysgy dshlma mshykha lelmya qym gbra alha etsh mplya qdm mn shmyh wathqry lmTrh elwhy awrytha wqbl lna athyhb br lna aythylyd rby ary dwd lbyth nbya amr
For all the armor of the armed man in the noisy battle, and the garments rolled in blood, will be for burning, fuel for the fire.

סגי רבו לעבדי אוריתא ולנטרי שלמא לית סוף על כורסיה דוד ועל מלכותיה לאתקנא יתה ולמבנא בדינא ובזכותא מכען ועד עלמא במימרא דיי צבאות תתעביד דא:
da ththebyd tsbawth dyy bmymra elma wed mken wbzkwtha bdyna wlmbna ythh lathqna mlkwthyh wel dwd kwrsyh el swp lyth shlma wlnTry awrytha lebdy rbw sgy
For a child is born to us. A son is given to us; and the government will be on his shoulders. His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

פתגמא שלח יי בדבית יעקב ואשתמע בישראל:
byshral washthme yeqb bdbyth yy shlkh pthgma
Of the increase of his government and of peace there shall be no end, on David’s throne, and on his kingdom, to establish it, and to uphold it with justice and with righteousness from that time on, even forever. The zeal of Yahweh of Armies will perform this.

ואתרברבו עמא כולהון אפרים ויתיב שמרון ברבו ובתקוף לבב למימר:
lmymr lbb wbthqwp brbw shmrwn wythyb aprym kwlhwn ema wathrbrbw
The Lord sent a word into Jacob, and it falls on Israel.

רישיא גלו ולטבין מנהון נמני נכסיא אתבזזו ודשפירין מנהון נקני:
nqny mnhwn wdshpyryn athbzzw nksya nmny mnhwn wlTbyn glw ryshya
All the people will know, including Ephraim and the inhabitants of Samaria, who say in pride and in arrogance of heart,

ותקיף יי סנאה רצין עלוהי וית בעלי דבבוהי יערר:
yerr dbbwhy bely wyth elwhy rtsyn snah yy wthqyp
“The bricks have fallen, but we will build with cut stone. The sycamore fig trees have been cut down, but we will put cedars in their place.”

ארם ממדינחא ופלשתאי ממערבא ובזו ית נכסי ישראל בכל אתר בכל דא לא תבו מחוביהון דתוב רוגזיה מנהון ועד כען מתקפין מרדיהון ועוד מחתיה עתידא לאתפרע מנהון:
mnhwn lathpre ethyda mkhthyh wewd mrdyhwn mthqpyn ken wed mnhwn rwgzyh dthwb mkhwbyhwn thbw la da bkl athr bkl yshral nksy yth wbzw mmerba wplshthay mmdynkha arm
Therefore Yahweh will set up on high against him the adversaries of Rezin, and will stir up his enemies,

ועמא לא תבו לפולחן מן דאייתי עליהון מחא ואולפן מן קדם יי צבאות לא תבעו:
thbew la tsbawth yy qdm mn wawlpn mkha elyhwn dayythy mn lpwlkhn thbw la wema
The Syrians in front, and the Philistines behind; and they will devour Israel with open mouth. For all this, his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.

ושיצי יי מישראל ריש והגמון שלטון ואטרון יומא חד:
khd ywma waTrwn shlTwn whgmwn rysh myshral yy wshytsy
Yet the people have not turned to him who struck them, neither have they sought Yahweh of Armies.
14
סב ונסיב אפין הוא רישא וספר מליף שקר הוא חלשא:
khlsha hwa shqr mlyp wspr rysha hwa apyn wnsyb sb
Therefore Yahweh will cut off from Israel head and tail, palm branch and reed, in one day.
15
והוו משבחי עמא הדין מטען ורברבנוהי מסלעמין:
mslemyn wrbrbnwhy mTen hdyn ema mshbkhy whww
The elder and the honorable man is the head, and the prophet who teaches lies is the tail.

על כן על עולימוהי לא יחדי יי ועל יתמוהי ועל ארמלתוהי לא ירחם ארי כולהון חניפין ובישין וכל פומהון ממללין שקר בכל דא לא תבו מחוביהון דיתוב רוגזיה מנהון ועד כען מתקפין מרדיהון ועוד מחתיה עתידא לאתפרעא מנהון:
mnhwn lathprea ethyda mkhthyh wewd mrdyhwn mthqpyn ken wed mnhwn rwgzyh dythwb mkhwbyhwn thbw la da bkl shqr mmllyn pwmhwn wkl wbyshyn khnypyn kwlhwn ary yrkhm la armlthwhy wel ythmwhy wel yy ykhdy la ewlymwhy el kn el
For those who lead this people lead them astray; and those who are led by them are destroyed.

ארי תדליק כאשתא פורענות חוביהון חטאיא וחיביא תשיצי ותשלוט בשאר עמא ותשיצי סגי משריתא:
mshrytha sgy wthshytsy ema bshar wthshlwT thshytsy wkhybya khTaya khwbyhwn pwrenwth kashtha thdlyq ary
Therefore the Lord will not rejoice over their young men, neither will he have compassion on their fatherless and widows; for everyone is profane and an evildoer, and every mouth speaks folly. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.

בתבעור מן קדם יי צבאות חרוכת ארעא והוה עמא כיקידת נור גבר על אחוהי לא חיסין:
khysyn la akhwhy el gbr nwr kyqydth ema whwh area khrwkth tsbawth yy qdm mn bthbewr
For wickedness burns like a fire. It devours the briers and thorns; yes, it kindles in the thickets of the forest, and they roll upward in a column of smoke.

ובז מן דרומא וכפין ושיצי מן צפונא ולא שבע גבר נכסיה קריביה יבזון:
ybzwn qrybyh nksyh gbr shbe wla tspwna mn wshytsy wkpyn drwma mn wbz
Through Yahweh of Armies’ wrath, the land is burned up; and the people are the fuel for the fire. No one spares his brother.

דבית מנשה עם דבית אפרים ודבית אפרים עם דבית מנשה כחדא יתחברון למיתי על דבית יהודה בכל דא לא תבו מחוביהון דיתוב רוגזיה מנהון ועד כען מתקפין מרדיהון ועוד מחתיה עתידא לאתפרע מנהון:
mnhwn lathpre ethyda mkhthyh wewd mrdyhwn mthqpyn ken wed mnhwn rwgzyh dythwb mkhwbyhwn thbw la da bkl yhwdh dbyth el lmythy ythkhbrwn kkhda mnshh dbyth em aprym wdbyth aprym dbyth em mnshh dbyth
One will devour on the right hand, and be hungry; and he will eat on the left hand, and they will not be satisfied. Everyone will eat the flesh of his own arm:
