ואמר יי לי סב לך לוח רב וכתוב עלוהי כתב מפרש מוחי למבז בזא ולמעדי עדאה:
edah wlmedy bza lmbz mwkhy mprsh kthb elwhy wkthwb rb lwkh lk sb ly yy wamr
Yahweh said to me, “Take a large tablet, and write on it with a man’s pen, ‘For Maher Shalal Hash Baz’;

ואסהיד קדמי סהידין מהמנן ית לוטיא דאמרית לאיתאה בנבואת אוריה כהנא והא אתו אף כן כל נחמתא דאמרית לאיתאה בנבואת זכריה בר יברכיה אנא עתיד לאיתאה:
laythah ethyd ana ybrkyh br zkryh bnbwath laythah damryth nkhmtha kl kn ap athw wha khna awryh bnbwath laythah damryth lwTya yth mhmnn shydyn qdmy washyd
and I will take for myself faithful witnesses to testify: Uriah the priest, and Zechariah the son of Jeberechiah.”

ועלית לות נביאתא ועדיאת וילדת בר ואמר יי לי קרי שמיה מוחי למבז בזא ולמעדי עדאה:
edah wlmedy bza lmbz mwkhy shmyh qry ly yy wamr br wyldth wedyath nbyatha lwth welyth
I went to the prophetess, and she conceived, and bore a son. Then Yahweh said to me, “Call his name ‘Maher Shalal Hash Baz.’

ארי עד לא ידע עולימא מקרי אבא ואמא ישבי ית נכסי דמשק וית עדאי שמרון קדם מלכא דאתור:
dathwr mlka qdm shmrwn eday wyth dmshq nksy yth yshby wama aba mqry ewlyma yde la ed ary
For before the child knows how to say, ‘My father’ and ‘My mother,’ the riches of Damascus and the plunder of Samaria will be carried away by the king of Assyria.”

ואוסיף מימרא דיי למללא עמי עוד למימר:
lmymr ewd emy lmlla dyy mymra wawsyp
Yahweh spoke to me yet again, saying,

חלף דקץ עמא הדין במלכותא דבית דוד דמדבר להון בניח כמי שלוחא דנגדין בניח ואתרעיאו ברצין ובר רמליה:
rmlyh wbr brtsyn wathreyaw bnykh dngdyn shlwkha kmy bnykh lhwn dmdbr dwd dbyth bmlkwtha hdyn ema dqts khlp
“Because this people has refused the waters of Shiloah that go softly, and rejoice in Rezin and Remaliah’s son;

בכן הא יי מיתי ומסיק עליהון ית משרית עממיא דסגיאין כמי נהרא תקיפיא וחסיניא ית מלכא דאתור וית כל משריתיה ויסק על כל פצידוהי ויהך על כל כיפוהי:
kypwhy kl el wyhk ptsydwhy kl el wysq mshrythyh kl wyth dathwr mlka yth wkhsynya thqypya nhra kmy dsgyayn emmya mshryth yth elyhwn wmsyq mythy yy ha bkn
now therefore, behold, the Lord brings upon them the mighty flood waters of the River: the king of Assyria and all his glory. It will come up over all its channels, and go over all its banks.

ויעדי בארעא דבית יהודה כנחל מגבר עד ירושלם ימטי ויהי עם משריתיה מלי פתאי ארעך עמנו אל:
al emnw arek pthay mly mshrythyh em wyhy ymTy yrwshlm ed mgbr knkhl yhwdh dbyth barea wyedy
It will sweep onward into Judah. It will overflow and pass through. It will reach even to the neck. The stretching out of its wings will fill the width of your land, O Immanuel.

אתחברו עממיא ואתברו ואציתו כל די בסיפי ארעא אתקיפו ואתברו אתקיפו ואתברו:
wathbrw athqypw wathbrw athqypw area bsypy dy kl watsythw wathbrw emmya athkhbrw
Make an uproar, you peoples, and be broken in pieces! Listen, all you from far countries: dress for battle, and be shattered! Dress for battle, and be shattered!

אתמליכו מלך ויעדי מללו פתגמא ולא יתקים ארי בסעדנא אלהא:
alha bsedna ary ythqym wla pthgma mllw wyedy mlk athmlykw
Take counsel together, and it will be brought to nothing; speak the word, and it will not stand, for God is with us.”

ארי כדנן אמר יי לי במתקף נבואתא ואלפני מלמהך באורח עמא הדין למימר:
lmymr hdyn ema bawrkh mlmhk walpny nbwatha bmthqp ly yy amr kdnn ary
For Yahweh spoke this to me with a strong hand, and instructed me not to walk in the way of this people, saying,

לא תימרון מרוד לכל דימר עמא הדין מרוד ולדחלתיה לא תדחלון ועל תוקפיה לא תמרון תקוף:
thqwp thmrwn la thwqpyh wel thdkhlwn la wldkhlthyh mrwd hdyn ema dymr lkl mrwd thymrwn la
“Don’t call a conspiracy all that this people call a conspiracy. Don’t fear their threats or be terrorized.

ית יי צבאות יתיה תימרון קדיש והוא דחלתכון והוא תוקפכון:
thwqpkwn whwa dkhlthkwn whwa qdysh thymrwn ythyh tsbawth yy yth
Yahweh of Armies is who you must respect as holy. He is the one you must fear. He is the one you must dread.

ואם לא תקבלון ויהי מימריה בכון לפורען ולאבן מחי ולכיף מתקל לתרין בתי רברבי ישראל לתבר ולתקלא על דאתפליגו על דבית יהודה דיתבין בירושלם:
byrwshlm dythbyn yhwdh dbyth el dathplygw el wlthqla lthbr yshral rbrby bthy lthryn mthql wlkyp mkhy wlabn lpwren bkwn mymryh wyhy thqblwn la wam
He will be a sanctuary, but for both houses of Israel, he will be a stumbling stone and a rock that makes them fall. For the people of Jerusalem, he will be a trap and a snare.

ויתקלון בהון סגיאין ויפלון ויתברון ויתצדון ויתאחדון:
wythakhdwn wythtsdwn wythbrwn wyplwn sgyayn bhwn wythqlwn
Many will stumble over it, fall, be broken, be snared, and be captured.”
16
נביא טר סהדותא לא תסהיד בהון ארי לא מקבלין חתום וטמר אוריתא לא צבן דילפון בה:
bh dylpwn tsbn la awrytha wTmr khthwm mqblyn la ary bhwn thshyd la shdwtha Tr nbya
Wrap up the covenant. Seal the law among my disciples.

אמר נביא על דא צליתי קדם יי דאמר לסלקא שכנתיה מדבית יעקב ובעיתי מן קדמוהי:
qdmwhy mn wbeythy yeqb mdbyth shknthyh lslqa damr yy qdm tslythy da el nbya amr
I will wait for Yahweh, who hides his face from the house of Jacob, and I will look for him.

הא עד דאנא קים ועולימיא דיהב לי יי יתקימון בנא אתין ומופתין דאמירן למיתי על ישראל דאם יחזון ויתובון תבטיל גזירתא די גזרא עליהון דיגלון מלאתחזאה קדם יי צבאות די שכנתיה בטורא דציון:
dtsywn bTwra shknthyh dy tsbawth yy qdm mlathkhzah dyglwn elyhwn gzra dy gzyrtha thbTyl wythwbwn ykhzwn dam yshral el lmythy damyrn wmwpthyn athyn bna ythqymwn yy ly dyhb wewlymya qym dana ed ha
Behold, I and the children whom Yahweh has given me are for signs and for wonders in Israel from Yahweh of Armies, who dwells in Mount Zion.

וארי יימרון לכון עממיא דאתון ביניהון תבעו מן בדין ומן זכורו דמנצפין ודמנהמין הלא כן אורח עממיא פלחי טעותא עמא מן טעותיה תבעין חיא מן מיתיא:
mythya mn khya thbeyn Tewthyh mn ema Tewtha plkhy emmya awrkh kn hla wdmnhmyn dmntspyn zkwrw wmn bdyn mn thbew bynyhwn dathwn emmya lkwn yymrwn wary
When they tell you, “Consult with those who have familiar spirits and with the wizards, who chirp and who mutter,” shouldn’t a people consult with their God? Should they consult the dead on behalf of the living?

כדין תימרון להון לאוריתא דאתיהיבת לנא ולסהדו אנחנא שמעין אלא תגלון לביני עממיא ויימרון לכון כפתגמא הדין מכען לית ליה מן דשחר ויבעיניה:
wybeynyh dshkhr mn lyh lyth mken hdyn kpthgma lkwn wyymrwn emmya lbyny thglwn ala shmeyn ankhna wlshdw lna dathyhybth lawrytha lhwn thymrwn kdyn
Turn to the law and to the covenant! If they don’t speak according to this word, surely there is no morning for them.

ויעדי תקלא בארעא ויהי עקא וכפן ויהי ארי יחזי כפן וסיגוף וילוט ויבזי שום פתכריה וטעותיה ויתפני לעילא למיבעי פורקן בתר דתתחתם גזירתא ולא יכול:
ykwl wla gzyrtha dththkhthm bthr pwrqn lmybey leyla wythpny wTewthyh pthkryh shwm wybzy wylwT wsygwp kpn ykhzy ary wyhy wkpn eqa wyhy barea thqla wyedy
They will pass through it, very distressed and hungry. It will happen that when they are hungry, they will worry, and curse their king and their God. They will turn their faces upward,

וסעיד מיתבי ארעא יבעי ארי ייתי עלוהי עקא כפן ושלהבי עקא קבל ובדור:
wbdwr qbl eqa wshlhby kpn eqa elwhy yythy ary ybey area mythby wseyd
then look to the earth and see distress, darkness, and the gloom of anguish. They will be driven into thick darkness.

ארי לא ישתלהי כל דייתי לאעקא להון כעידן קדמי גלו עם ארע זבולן ועם ארע נפתלי ושארהון מלך תקיף יגלי על דלא אדכרו גבורת ימא ונסי ירדנא קרב כרכי עממיא:
emmya krky qrb yrdna wnsy yma gbwrth adkrw dla el ygly thqyp mlk wsharhwn npthly are wem zbwln are em glw qdmy keydn lhwn laeqa dyythy kl yshthlhy la ary
