ܘܐܡܪ ܠܝ ܡܪܝܐ ܣܒ ܠܟ ܓܠܝܘܢܐ ܪܒܐ ܘܟܬܘܒ ܥܠܘܗܝ ܒܟܬܒܐ ܕܐܢܫܐ ܠܡܣܪܗܒܘ ܫܒܝܐ ܘܠܡܬܟܒ ܒܙܬܐ
bzth' wlmthkb shby' lmsrhbw d'nsh' bkthb' elwhy wkthwb rb' glywn' lk sb mry' ly w'mr
Yahweh said to me, “Take a large tablet, and write on it with a man’s pen, ‘For Maher Shalal Hash Baz’;

ܘܣܗܕ ܠܝ ܣܗ̈ܕܐ ܕܡܗܝܡܢܝܢ ܠܐܘܪܝܐ ܟܗܢܐ ܘܠܙܟܪܝܐ ܒܪ ܒܪܟܝܐ
brky' br wlzkry' khn' l'wry' dmhymnyn shd' ly wshd
and I will take for myself faithful witnesses to testify: Uriah the priest, and Zechariah the son of Jeberechiah.”

ܘܩܪܒ̇ܬ ܠܢܒܝܬܐ ܘܒܛܢܬ ܘܝܠܕܬ ܒܪܐ ܘܐܡܪ ܠܝ ܡܪܝܐ ܩܪܝ ܫܡܗ ܡܣܪܗܒ ܫܒ̇ܐ ܘܬܟ̇ܒ ܒܐ̇ܙ

I went to the prophetess, and she conceived, and bore a son. Then Yahweh said to me, “Call his name ‘Maher Shalal Hash Baz.’

ܡܛܠ ܕܥܕ ܠܐ ܢܕܥ ܛܠܝܐ ܠܡܩܪܐ ܐܒܐ ܘܐܡܐ ܢܫܩܘܠ ܩܢܝܢܐ ܕܕܪܡܣܘܩ ܘܒܙܬܐ ܕܫܡܪܝܢ ܩܕܡ ܡܠܟܐ ܕܐܬܘܪ
d'thwr mlk' qdm dshmryn wbzth' ddrmswq qnyn' nshqwl w'm' 'b' lmqr' Tly' nde l' ded mTl
For before the child knows how to say, ‘My father’ and ‘My mother,’ the riches of Damascus and the plunder of Samaria will be carried away by the king of Assyria.”

ܥܠ ܕܐܣܠܝܘ ܥܡܐ ܗܢܐ ܡ̈ܝܐ ܕܫܝܠܘܚܐ ܕܪܕܝ̇ܢ ܒܫܠܝܐ ܘܚܕܝܘ ܒܪܨܢ ܘܒܒܪ ܪܘܡܠܝܐ
rwmly' wbbr brtsn wkhdyw bshly' drdyn dshylwkh' my' hn' em' d'slyw el
“Because this people has refused the waters of Shiloah that go softly, and rejoice in Rezin and Remaliah’s son;

ܡܛܠ ܗܢܐ ܢܣܩ ܡܪܝܐ ܥܠܝܗܘܢ ܡ̈ܝܐ ܕܢܗܪܐ ܣ̈ܓܝܐܐ ܘܥܫ̈ܝܢܐ ܠܡܠܟܐ ܕܐܬܘܪ ܘܠܟܠܗ ܐܝܩܪܗ ܘܢܣܩ ܥܠ ܟܠܗܘܢ ܦܨܝ̈ܕܝܗܘܢ ܘܢܗܠܟ ܥܠ ܟܠܗܘܢ ܫܘܪ̈ܝܗܘܢ
shwryhwn klhwn el wnhlk ptsydyhwn klhwn el wnsq 'yqrh wlklh d'thwr lmlk' weshyn' sgy'' dnhr' my' elyhwn mry' nsq hn' mTl
now therefore, behold, the Lord brings upon them the mighty flood waters of the River: the king of Assyria and all his glory. It will come up over all its channels, and go over all its banks.

ܘܢܥܒܪ ܒܝܗܘܕܐ ܘܢܓܪܘܦ ܘܢܥܒܪ ܘܥܕܡܐ ܠܨܘܪܐ ܢܡܛܐ ܘܢܗܘܐ ܪܘܡܐ ܕܟܢ̈ܦܘܗܝ ܡ̇ܠܐ ܦܬܝܗ̇ ܕܐܪܥܟ ܥܡܢܘܐܝܠ
emnw'yl d'rek pthyh ml' dknpwhy rwm' wnhw' nmT' ltswr' wedm' wnebr wngrwp byhwd' wnebr
It will sweep onward into Judah. It will overflow and pass through. It will reach even to the neck. The stretching out of its wings will fill the width of your land, O Immanuel.

ܙܘܥܘ ܥܡ̈ܡܐ ܘܐܬܬܒܪܘ ܘܨܘܬܘ ܟܠܗܘܢ ܪ̈ܚܝܩܐ ܕܐܪܥܐ ܐܬܥܫܢܘ ܘܐܬܬܒܪܘ
w'ththbrw 'theshnw d're' rkhyq' klhwn wtswthw w'ththbrw emm' zwew
Make an uproar, you peoples, and be broken in pieces! Listen, all you from far countries: dress for battle, and be shattered! Dress for battle, and be shattered!

ܐܬܪܥܘ ܬܪܥܝܬܐ ܘܬܬܒܛܠ ܡܠܠܘ ܡܠܬܐ ܘܠܐ ܬܬܩܝܡ ܡܛܠ ܥܡܢܘܐܝܠ
emnw'yl mTl ththqym wl' mlth' mllw wththbTl threyth' 'threw
Take counsel together, and it will be brought to nothing; speak the word, and it will not stand, for God is with us.”

ܗܟܢܐ ܐܡܪ ܠܝ ܡܪܝܐ ܐܝܟ ܡܐܚܕ ܐܝܕܐ ܘܢܣܛܝܢܝ ܕܠܐ ܐܗܠܟ ܒܐܘܪܚܗ ܕܥܡܐ ܗܢܐ ܘܐܡܪ
w'mr hn' dem' b'wrkhh 'hlk dl' wnsTyny 'yd' m'khd 'yk mry' ly 'mr hkn'
For Yahweh spoke this to me with a strong hand, and instructed me not to walk in the way of this people, saying,

ܠܐ ܬܐܡܪܘܢ ܡܪܕܐ ܐܝܟ ܕܐܡܪ ܥܡܐ ܗܢܐ ܡܪܕܐ ܘܒܕܚ̈ܠܬܗܘܢ ܠܐ ܬܕܚܠܘܢ ܘܠܐ ܬܙܘܥܘܢ
thzwewn wl' thdkhlwn l' wbdkhlthhwn mrd' hn' em' d'mr 'yk mrd' th'mrwn l'
“Don’t call a conspiracy all that this people call a conspiracy. Don’t fear their threats or be terrorized.

ܠܡܪܝܐ ܚܝܠܬܢܐ ܩܕܫܘ ܘܗܘܝܘ ܕܚܠܬܟܘܢ ܘܗܘܝܘ ܡܣܝܥܢܟܘܢ
msyenkwn whwyw dkhlthkwn whwyw qdshw khylthn' lmry'
Yahweh of Armies is who you must respect as holy. He is the one you must fear. He is the one you must dread.

ܘܢܗܘܐ ܠܡܩܕܫܐ ܘܠܟܐܦܐ ܕܡܚܘܬܐ ܘܠܛܪܢܐ ܕܬܘܩܠܬܐ ܠܬܪ̈ܝܗܘܢ ܒ̈ܬܐ ܕܐܝܣܪܝܠ ܠܦܚ̈ܐ ܘܠܡ̈ܨܝܕܬܐ ܠܥܡܘܪ̈ܝܗ̇ ܕܐܘܪܫܠܡ
d'wrshlm lemwryh wlmtsydth' lpkh' d'ysryl bth' lthryhwn dthwqlth' wlTrn' dmkhwth' wlk'p' lmqdsh' wnhw'
He will be a sanctuary, but for both houses of Israel, he will be a stumbling stone and a rock that makes them fall. For the people of Jerusalem, he will be a trap and a snare.

ܘܢܬܬܩܠܘܢ ܒܗܘܢ ܣ̈ܓܝܐܐ ܘܢܦܠܘܢ ܘܢܬܬܒܪܘܢ ܘܢܬܬܨܝܕܘܢ ܘܢܬܬܚܕܘܢ
wnththkhdwn wnththtsydwn wnththbrwn wnplwn sgy'' bhwn wnththqlwn
Many will stumble over it, fall, be broken, be snared, and be captured.”

ܨܘܪܘ ܣܗܕܘܬܐ ܘܚܬܘܡܘ ܢܡܘܣܐ ܒܝܘܠܦܢܝ

Wrap up the covenant. Seal the law among my disciples.

ܐܟܬܪ ܠܡܪܝܐ ܕܐܦܢܝ ܐܦܘ̈ܗܝ ܡܢ ܕܒܝܬ ܝܥܩܘܒ ܘܐܣܟܐ ܠܗ

I will wait for Yahweh, who hides his face from the house of Jacob, and I will look for him.

ܗܐ ܐܢܐ ܘܒ̈ܢܝܐ ܕܝܗܒ ܠܝ ܡܪܝܐ ܠܐܬܐ ܘܠܬܕܡܘܪܬܐ ܒܐܝܣܪܝܠ ܡܢ ܩܕܡ ܡܪܝܐ ܚܝܠܬܢܐ ܕܫܪܐ ܒܛܘܪܐ ܕܨܗܝܘܢ

Behold, I and the children whom Yahweh has given me are for signs and for wonders in Israel from Yahweh of Armies, who dwells in Mount Zion.

ܘܟܕ ܢܐܡܪܘܢ ܠܟܘܢ ܕܫܐܠܘ ܡܢ ܙܟܘܪ̈ܐ ܘܡܢ ܝܕܘ̈ܥܐ ܕܢܨ̇ܪܝܢ ܘܢܗ̇ܡܝܢ ܠܐ ܗܘܘ ܥܡܗ ܕܐܠܗܐ ܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܫܐ̇ܠܝܢ ܠܡܝ̈ܬܐ ܥܠ ܚ̈ܝܐ
khy' el lmyth' dsh'lyn 'ylyn d'lh' emh hww l' wnhmyn dntsryn ydwe' wmn zkwr' mn dsh'lw lkwn n'mrwn wkd
When they tell you, “Consult with those who have familiar spirits and with the wizards, who chirp and who mutter,” shouldn’t a people consult with their God? Should they consult the dead on behalf of the living?

ܠܢܡܘܣܐ ܘܠܣܗܕܘܬܐ ܕܠܐ ܢܐܡܪܘܢ ܐܝܟ ܡܠܬܐ ܗܕܐ ܕܠܝܬ ܠܡܬܠ ܥܠܝܗ̇ ܫܘܚܕܐ
shwkhd' elyh lmthl dlyth hd' mlth' 'yk n'mrwn dl' wlshdwth' lnmws'
Turn to the law and to the covenant! If they don’t speak according to this word, surely there is no morning for them.

ܘܢܥܒܪ ܒܗ̇ ܘܢܩܫܝܗ̇ ܘܢܟܦܢ ܘܡܐ ܕܟܦܢ ܢܪܓܙ ܘܢܨܚܐ ܠܡܠܟܗ ܘܠܐܠܗܗ ܘܢܬܦܢܐ ܠܥܠ
lel wnthpn' wl'lhh lmlkh wntskh' nrgz dkpn wm' wnkpn wnqshyh bh wnebr
They will pass through it, very distressed and hungry. It will happen that when they are hungry, they will worry, and curse their king and their God. They will turn their faces upward,

ܘܒܐܪܥܐ ܢܚܘܪ ܘܐܘܠܨܢܐ ܘܚܫܘܟܐ ܘܥܩܬܐ ܘܥܡܛܢܐ ܢܕܚܩܝܘܗܝ

then look to the earth and see distress, darkness, and the gloom of anguish. They will be driven into thick darkness.
