ܗܐ ܠܐ ܙܥܘܪܝܐ ܐܝܕܗ ܕܡܪܝܐ ܠܡܦܪܩ ܘܠܐ ܝܩܝܪܐ ܐܕܢܗ ܠܡܫܡܥ

Behold, Yahweh’s hand is not shortened, that it can’t save; nor his ear dull, that it can’t hear.

ܐܠܐ ܚ̈ܘܒܝܟܘܢ ܗܘ ܦܪܫܘ ܒܝܢ̈ܝܟܘܢ ܠܐܠܗܟܘܢ ܘܚ̈ܛܗܝܟܘܢ ܐܗܦܟܘ ܐ̈ܦܘܗܝ ܡܢܟܘܢ ܕܠܐ ܢܫܡܥ
'l' khwbykwn hw prshw bynykwn l'lhkwn wkhThykwn 'hpkw 'pwhy mnkwn dl' nshme
But your iniquities have separated you and your God, and your sins have hidden his face from you, so that he will not hear.

ܡܛܠ ܕܐ̈ܝܕܝܟܘܢ ܡ̈ܛܢܦܢ ܒܕܡܐ ܘܨܒ̈ܥܬܟܘܢ ܒܥܘܠܐ ܣܦܘ̈ܬܟܘܢ ܡܡ̈ܠܠܢ ܫܘܩܪܐ ܘܠܫܢܟܘܢ ܪܢ̇ܐ ܒܥܘܠܐ

For your hands are defiled with blood, and your fingers with iniquity. Your lips have spoken lies. Your tongue mutters wickedness.

ܘܠܝܬ ܕܩ̇ܪܐ ܒܙܕܝܩܘܬܐ ܘܠܝܬ ܕܕܐ̇ܢ ܒܗܝܡܢܘܬܐ ܐܬܬܟܠܘ ܥܠ ܣܪܝܩܘܬܐ ܘܡܠܠܘ ܪܝܩܢܘܬܐ ܒܛܢܘ ܥܘܠܐ ܘܝܠܕܘ ܟܐ̈ܒܐ
wlyth dqr' bzdyqwth' wlyth dd'n bhymnwth' 'ththklw el sryqwth' wmllw ryqnwth' bTnw ewl' wyldw k'b'
No one sues in righteousness, and no one pleads in truth. They trust in vanity and speak lies. They conceive mischief and give birth to iniquity.

ܒܢ̈ܬܐ ܕܚܪܡܢܐ ܐܦܥܘ ܘܢܘܠܐ ܕܓܘܓܝ ܙܩܪܘ ܕܐ̇ܟܠ ܡܢ ܒܢ̈ܬܗܘܢ ܢܡܘܬ ܘܕܬܒܪܗ̇ ܡܫܟܚ ܫܥܛܐ
bnth' dkhrmn' 'pew wnwl' dgwgy zqrw d'kl mn bnthhwn nmwth wdthbrh mshkkh sheT'
They hatch adders’ eggs and weave the spider’s web. He who eats of their eggs dies; and that which is crushed breaks out into a viper.

ܢܘܠܗܘܢ ܠܐ ܢܗܘܐ ܠܠܒܘܫܐ ܘܠܐ ܢܬܟܣܘܢ ܒܥ̇ܒ̈ܕܝܗܘܢ ܥ̇ܒ̈ܕܝܗܘܢ ܥ̇ܒ̈ܕܐ ܐܢܘܢ ܕܥܬܐ ܘܥ̇ܒ̈ܕܐ ܕܥܘܠܐ ܒܐܝܕ̈ܝܗܘܢ
nwlhwn l' nhw' llbwsh' wl' nthkswn bebdyhwn ebdyhwn ebd' 'nwn deth' webd' dewl' b'ydyhwn
Their webs won’t become garments. They won’t cover themselves with their works. Their works are works of iniquity, and acts of violence are in their hands.

ܪ̈ܓܠܝܗܘܢ ܪ̈ܗܛܢ ܠܒܝܫܬܐ ܘܡܣܬܪܗܒܝܢ ܠܡܐܫܕ ܕܡܐ ܙܟܝܐ ܬܪ̈ܥܝܬܗܘܢ ܬܪ̈ܥܝܬܐ ܐ̈ܢܝܢ ܕܥܬܐ ܘܒܙܬܐ ܘܬܒܪܐ ܒܫ̈ܒܝܠܝܗܘܢ
rglyhwn rhTn lbyshth' wmsthrhbyn lm'shd dm' zky' threythhwn threyth' 'nyn deth' wbzth' wthbr' bshbylyhwn
Their feet run to evil, and they hurry to shed innocent blood. Their thoughts are thoughts of iniquity. Desolation and destruction are in their paths.

ܐܘܪܚܐ ܕܫܠܡܐ ܠܐ ܐܝܕܥܘ ܘܠܝܬ ܕܝܢܐ ܒܗ̈ܠܟܬܗܘܢ ܫܒܝ̈ܠܝܗܘܢ ܡܥܩܡܝܢ ܘܟܠ ܕܡܗܠܟ ܒܗܘܢ ܠܐ ܝ̇ܕܥ ܫܠܡܐ
'wrkh' dshlm' l' 'ydew wlyth dyn' bhlkthhwn shbylyhwn meqmyn wkl dmhlk bhwn l' yde shlm'
They don’t know the way of peace; and there is no justice in their ways. They have made crooked paths for themselves; whoever goes in them doesn’t know peace.

ܡܛܠ ܗܢܐ ܐܬܪܚܩ ܡܢܢ ܕܝܢܐ ܘܙܕܝܩܘܬܐ ܠܐ ܬܕܪܟܢ ܣܟܝܢ ܠܢܘܗܪܐ ܘܗܘܐ ܚܫܘܟܐ ܘܠܙܗܪܐ ܘܒܥܡܛܢܐ ܗܠܟܢ
mTl hn' 'thrkhq mnn dyn' wzdyqwth' l' thdrkn skyn lnwhr' whw' khshwk' wlzhr' wbemTn' hlkn
Therefore justice is far from us, and righteousness doesn’t overtake us. We look for light, but see darkness; for brightness, but we walk in obscurity.

ܡܫܢ ܐܣܬܐ ܐܝܟ ܥܘܝܪ̈ܐ ܘܡܫܢ ܐܝܟ ܗ̇ܢܘܢ ܕܠܝܬ ܠܗܘܢ ܥܝ̈ܢܐ ܐܬܬܩܠܢ ܒܛܗܪܐ ܐܝܟ ܕܒܪܡܫܐ ܘܐܬܬܢܚܢ ܐܝܟ ܗ̇ܢܘܢ ܕܩܪܝܒܝܢ ܠܡܡܬ
mshn 'sth' 'yk ewyr' wmshn 'yk hnwn dlyth lhwn eyn' 'ththqln bThr' 'yk dbrmsh' w'ththnkhn 'yk hnwn dqrybyn lmmth
We grope for the wall like the blind. Yes, we grope as those who have no eyes. We stumble at noon as if it were twilight. Among those who are strong, we are like dead men.

ܢܗܡܢ ܟܠܢ ܐܝܟ ܕܒ̈ܐ ܘܐܝܟ ܝܘ̈ܢܐ ܢܗܡܢ ܣܟܝܢ ܠܕܝܢܐ ܘܠܝܬ ܘܠܦܘܪܩܢܐ ܘܐܬܪܚܩ ܡܢܢ
nhmn kln 'yk db' w'yk ywn' nhmn skyn ldyn' wlyth wlpwrqn' w'thrkhq mnn
We all roar like bears and moan sadly like doves. We look for justice, but there is none, for salvation, but it is far off from us.

ܡܛܠ ܕܣܓܝ ܥܘܠܢ ܩܕܡܝܟ ܘܚ̈ܛܗܝܢ ܣܗܕܘܢ ܡܛܠ ܕܥܘܠܢ ܥܡܢ ܗܘ ܘܚ̈ܛܗܝܢ ܝܕܝܥܝܢ ܐܢܘܢ

For our transgressions are multiplied before you, and our sins testify against us; for our transgressions are with us, and as for our iniquities, we know them:

ܐܥܠܝܢ ܘܕܓܠܢ ܒܡܪܝܐ ܘܗܦܟܢ ܡܢ ܒܬܪܗ ܕܐܠܗܢ ܡܠܠܢ ܛܠܘܡܝܐ ܘܡܪܕܢ ܒܛܢܢ ܘܪܢܝܢ ܡܢ ܠܒܢ ܡ̈ܠܐ ܕܫܘܩܪܐ
'elyn wdgln bmry' whpkn mn bthrh d'lhn mlln Tlwmy' wmrdn bTnn wrnyn mn lbn ml' dshwqr'
transgressing and denying Yahweh, and turning away from following our God, speaking oppression and revolt, conceiving and uttering from the heart words of falsehood.

ܐܗܦܟܢ ܕܝܢܐ ܠܒܣܬܪܗ ܘܙܕܝܩܘܬܐ ܐܩܝܡܢ ܒܪܘܚܩܐ ܡܛܠ ܕܐܬܬܩܠ ܩܘܫܬܐ ܒܐܪܘܚܬܐ ܘܡܟܣܢܘܬܐ ܠܐ ܡܫܟܚܐ ܠܡܐܬܐ
'hpkn dyn' lbsthrh wzdyqwth' 'qymn brwkhq' mTl d'ththql qwshth' b'rwkhth' wmksnwth' l' mshkkh' lm'th'
Justice is turned away backward, and righteousness stands far away; for truth has fallen in the street, and uprightness can’t enter.

ܘܗܘܐ ܩܘܫܬܐ ܒܟܣܝܐ ܘܥܒܪ ܣܘܟܠܐ ܡܢ ܪܥܝܢܢ ܘܚܙܐ ܡܪܝܐ ܕܠܝܬ ܕܝܢܐ ܘܐܬܒܐܫ ܒܥܝܢ̈ܘܗܝ

Yes, truth is lacking; and he who departs from evil makes himself a prey. Yahweh saw it, and it displeased him that there was no justice.

ܘܚܙܐ ܕܠܝܬ ܐܢܫ ܘܐܬܕܡܪ ܕܠܝܬ ܕܡܥܕܪ ܘܦܪܩܗ ܕܪܥܗ ܘܙܕܝܩܘܬܗ ܗܝ ܣܡܟܬܗ

He saw that there was no man, and wondered that there was no intercessor. Therefore his own arm brought salvation to him; and his righteousness sustained him.

ܠܒܫ ܙܕܝܩܘܬܐ ܐܝܟ ܫܪܝܢܐ ܘܣܢܘܪܬܐ ܕܦܘܪܩܢܐ ܒܪܝܫܗ ܘܠܒܫ ܠܒܘܫܐ ܕܦܘܪܥܢܐ
lbsh zdyqwth' 'yk shryn' wsnwrth' dpwrqn' bryshh wlbsh lbwsh' dpwren'
He put on righteousness as a breastplate, and a helmet of salvation on his head. He put on garments of vengeance for clothing, and was clad with zeal as a mantle.

ܕܢܬܬܒܥ ܡܢ ܣܢܐ̈ܘܗܝ ܘܢܦܪܘܥ ܠܒ̈ܥܠܕܒܒܘܗܝ ܘܠܓܙܪ̈ܬܐ ܢܦܪܘܥ ܦܘܪܥܢܐ
dnththbe mn sn'why wnprwe lbeldbbwhy wlgzrth' nprwe pwren'
According to their deeds, he will repay as appropriate: wrath to his adversaries, recompense to his enemies. He will repay the islands their due.

ܢܕܚܠܘܢ ܡܢ ܡܥܪܒܐ ܠܫܡܗ ܕܡܪܝܐ ܘܡܢ ܡܕܢܚ̈ܝ ܫܡܫܐ ܠܐܝܩܪܗ ܡܛܠ ܕܢܐܬܐ ܐܠܘܨܐ ܐܝܟ ܢܗܪܐ ܘܪܘܚܗ ܕܡܪܝܐ ܬܡܟܟܝܘܗܝ
ndkhlwn mn merb' lshmh dmry' wmn mdnkhy shmsh' l'yqrh mTl dn'th' 'lwts' 'yk nhr' wrwkhh dmry' thmkkywhy
So they will fear Yahweh’s name from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun; for he will come as a rushing stream, which Yahweh’s breath drives.

ܘܢܐܬܐ ܠܨܗܝܘܢ ܦܪܘܩܐ ܘܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܡܦܢܝܢ ܥܘܠܐ ܡܢ ܝܥܩܘܒ ܐܡ̇ܪ ܡܪܝܐ
wn'th' ltshywn prwq' w'ylyn dmpnyn ewl' mn yeqwb 'mr mry'
“A Redeemer will come to Zion, and to those who turn from disobedience in Jacob,” says Yahweh.

ܘܐܢܐ ܗܢܘ ܩܝܡܝ ܕܥܡܟܘܢ ܐܡ̇ܪ ܡܪܝܐ ܪܘܚܝ ܕܥܠܝܟ ܘܡ̈ܠܝ ܕܣܡ̇ܬ ܒܦܘܡܟ ܠܐ ܢܥܢ̈ܕܢ ܡܢ ܦܘܡܟ ܘܡܢ ܦܘܡܗ ܕܙܪܥܟ ܘܡܢ ܦܘܡܐ ܕܙܪܥܐ ܕܙܪܥܟ ܐܡ̇ܪ ܡܪܝܐ ܡܢ ܗܫܐ ܘܥܕܡܐ ܠܥܠܡ

“As for me, this is my covenant with them,” says Yahweh. “My Spirit who is on you, and my words which I have put in your mouth shall not depart out of your mouth, nor out of the mouth of your offspring, nor out of the mouth of your offspring’s offspring,” says Yahweh, “from now on and forever.”
