ܩܪܝ ܒܓܓܪܬܟ ܘܠܐ ܬܚܘܣ ܘܐܪܝܡ ܩܠܟ ܐܝܟ ܫܝܦܘܪܐ ܘܚܘܐ ܠܥܡܝ ܥܘܠܗܘܢ ܘܠܒܝܬ ܝܥܩܘܒ ܚ̈ܛܗܝܗܘܢ
khThyhwn yeqwb wlbyth ewlhwn lemy wkhw' shypwr' 'yk qlk w'rym thkhws wl' bggrthk qry
“Cry aloud! Don’t spare! Lift up your voice like a trumpet! Declare to my people their disobedience, and to the house of Jacob their sins.

ܘܠܝ ܒܥ̇ܝܢ ܒܟܠܝܘܡ ܘܨܒ̇ܝܢ ܠܡܕܥ ܐܘܪ̈ܚܬܝ ܐܝܟ ܥܡܐ ܕܥܒܕ ܙܕܝܩܘܬܐ ܘܠܐ ܫܒܩ ܕܝܢܐ ܕܐܠܗܗ ܫܐ̇ܠܝܢ ܠܝ ܕܝܢܐ ܘܙܕܝܩܘܬܐ ܘܨܒ̇ܝܢ ܠܡܬܩܪܒܘ ܠܐܠܗܐ
l'lh' lmthqrbw wtsbyn wzdyqwth' dyn' ly sh'lyn d'lhh dyn' shbq wl' zdyqwth' debd em' 'yk 'wrkhthy lmde wtsbyn bklywm beyn wly
Yet they seek me daily, and delight to know my ways. As a nation that did righteousness, and didn’t forsake the ordinance of their God, they ask of me righteous judgments. They delight to draw near to God.

ܠܡܢܐ ܨܡܢ ܘܠܐ ܚܙܝܬ ܘܡܟܟܢ ܢܦܫܢ ܘܠܐ ܝܕܥܬ ܗܐ ܒܝܘܡܐ ܕܨܘܡܟܘܢ ܥܒ̇ܕܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܨܒܝ̈ܢܝܟܘܢ ܘܡܩܪܒܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܦܬܟܪ̈ܝܟܘܢ ܟܠܗܘܢ
klhwn pthkrykwn 'nthwn wmqrbyn tsbynykwn 'nthwn ebdyn dtswmkwn bywm' h' ydeth wl' npshn wmkkn khzyth wl' tsmn lmn'
‘Why have we fasted,’ they say, ‘and you don’t see? Why have we afflicted our soul, and you don’t notice?’ “Behold, in the day of your fast you find pleasure, and oppress all your laborers.

ܗܐ ܠܚܪܝܢܐ ܘܠܡܨܘܬܐ ܨܝܡ̇ܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܘܠܡܡܚܐ ܒܩܛܝܪܐ ܕܥܘܠܐ ܠܐ ܬܨܘܡܘܢ ܐܝܟ ܕܝܘܡܢܐ ܘܬܫܡܥܘܢ ܩܠܟܘܢ ܒܡܪܘܡܐ
bmrwm' qlkwn wthshmewn dywmn' 'yk thtswmwn l' dewl' bqTyr' wlmmkh' 'nthwn tsymyn wlmtswth' lkhryn' h'
Behold, you fast for strife and contention, and to strike with the fist of wickedness. You don’t fast today so as to make your voice to be heard on high.

ܗܢܘ ܨܘܡܐ ܕܓܒ̇ܝܬ ܕܢܡܟ ܐܢܫ ܢܦܫܗ ܘܢܟܘܦ ܨܘܪܗ ܐܝܟ ܟܪܘܠܐ ܘܣܩܐ ܘܩܛܡܐ ܡܐ̇ܟ ܠܗ ܠܗܢܐ ܬܩܪܘܢ ܨܘܡܐ ܘܝܘܡܐ ܕܨܒܝܢܗ ܕܡܪܝܐ
dmry' dtsbynh wywm' tswm' thqrwn lhn' lh m'k wqTm' wsq' krwl' 'yk tswrh wnkwp npshh 'nsh dnmk dgbyth tswm' hnw
Is this the fast that I have chosen? A day for a man to humble his soul? Is it to bow down his head like a reed, and to spread sackcloth and ashes under himself? Will you call this a fast, and an acceptable day to Yahweh?

ܗܢܘ ܨܘܡܐ ܕܓܒܝ̇ܬ ܕܬܫܪܐ ܩܛܪܐ ܕܥܘܠܐ ܘܬܦܣܩ ܡܐܣܪ̈ܝܬܐ ܕܢܟܠܐ ܘܬܫܪܐ ܟܒܝܫ̈ܐ ܠܚܐܪܘܬܐ ܘܟܠܗܝܢ ܡܐܣܪ̈ܝܬܐ ܬܦܣܩܘܢ
thpsqwn m'sryth' wklhyn lkh'rwth' kbysh' wthshr' dnkl' m'sryth' wthpsq dewl' qTr' dthshr' dgbyth tswm' hnw
“Isn’t this the fast that I have chosen: to release the bonds of wickedness, to undo the straps of the yoke, to let the oppressed go free, and that you break every yoke?

ܘܬܩܨܐ ܠܚܡܟ ܠܟܦܢܐ ܘܠܐܟܣܢܝܐ ܬܥܠ ܠܒܝܬܟ ܟܕ ܬܚܙܐ ܥܪܛܠܝܐ ܘܬܟܣܝܘܗܝ ܘܠܐ ܬܗܡܐ ܡܢ ܒܪ ܒܣܪܟ

Isn’t it to distribute your bread to the hungry, and that you bring the poor who are cast out to your house? When you see the naked, that you cover him; and that you not hide yourself from your own flesh?

ܗܝܕܝܢ ܢܬܦܬܚ ܢܘܗܪܟ ܐܝܟ ܨܦܪܐ ܘܙܕܝܩܘܬܟ ܒܥܓܠ ܬܕܢܚ ܘܬܐܙܠ ܩܕܡܝܟ ܙܕܝܩܘܬܟ ܘܐܝܩܪܗ ܕܡܪܝܐ ܢܟܢܫܟ
nknshk dmry' w'yqrh zdyqwthk qdmyk wth'zl thdnkh begl wzdyqwthk tspr' 'yk nwhrk nthpthkh hydyn
Then your light will break out as the morning, and your healing will appear quickly; then your righteousness shall go before you, and Yahweh’s glory will be your rear guard.

ܗܝܕܝܢ ܬܩܪܐ ܘܢܥܢܝܟ ܡܪܝܐ ܘܬܓܥܐ ܘܢܐܡܪ ܗܐ ܐܢܐ ܐܢ ܬܥܒܪ ܡܢ ܓܘܟ ܢܟܠܐ ܘܬܫܪܐ ܠܟܒܝܫ̈ܐ ܘܡܢ ܡܡܠܠܐ ܕܓܠܐ ܬܪܚܩ
thrkhq dgl' mmll' wmn lkbysh' wthshr' nkl' gwk mn thebr 'n 'n' h' wn'mr wthge' mry' wnenyk thqr' hydyn
Then you will call, and Yahweh will answer. You will cry for help, and he will say, ‘Here I am.’ “If you take away from among you the yoke, finger pointing, and speaking wickedly;

ܘܬܬܠ ܠܚܡܟ ܠܟܦܢܐ ܘܬܣܒܥ ܢܦܫܐ ܕܟܦܢܐ ܢܕܢܚ ܢܘܗܪܟ ܒܚܫܘܟܐ ܘܚܫܘܟܟ ܐܝܟ ܛܗܪܐ
Thr' 'yk wkhshwkk bkhshwk' nwhrk ndnkh dkpn' npsh' wthsbe lkpn' lkhmk wththl
and if you pour out your soul to the hungry, and satisfy the afflicted soul, then your light will rise in darkness, and your obscurity will be as the noonday;

ܘܢܕܒܪܟ ܡܪܝܐ ܐܡܝܢܐܝܬ ܘܢܣܒܥ ܢܦܫܟ ܒܕܘܗܢܐ ܘܢܫܪ ܓܪ̈ܡܝܟ ܘܬܗܘܐ ܐܝܟ ܦܪܕܝܣܐ ܕܪܘ̇ܙ ܘܐܝܟ ܡܒܘܥܐ ܕܡ̈ܝܐ ܕܠܐ ܓܝ̇ܙܝܢ ܡ̈ܘܗܝ
mwhy gyzyn dl' dmy' mbwe' w'yk drwz prdys' 'yk wthhw' grmyk wnshr bdwhn' npshk wnsbe 'myn'yth mry' wndbrk
and Yahweh will guide you continually, satisfy your soul in dry places, and make your bones strong. You will be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water whose waters don’t fail.

ܘܢܒܢܘܢ ܡܢܟ ܚܪ̈ܒܬܐ ܕܡܢ ܥܠܡ ܘܫܬܐ̈ܣܐ ܕܕܪܕܪܝܢ ܬܩܝܡ ܘܢܩܪܘܢܟ ܣܐ̇ܓ ܬܘܪ̈ܥܬܐ ܘܡܗܦܟ ܫܒܝ̈ܠܐ ܠܝܬܒܐ
lythb' shbyl' wmhpk thwreth' s'g wnqrwnk thqym ddrdryn wshth's' elm dmn khrbth' mnk wnbnwn
Those who will be of you will build the old waste places. You will raise up the foundations of many generations. You will be called Repairer of the Breach, Restorer of Paths with Dwellings.

ܐܢ ܬܗܦܟ ܪܓܠܟ ܡܢ ܫܒܬܐ ܕܠܐ ܬܥܒܕ ܨܒܝܢܟ ܒܝܘܡܐ ܕܩܘܕܫܝ ܘܬܩܪܐ ܠܫܒܬܐ ܡܦܢܩܬܐ ܘܩܘܕܫܗ ܕܡܪܝܐ ܡܝܩܪܐ ܘܬܝܩܪܝܗ̇ ܕܠܐ ܬܥܒܕ ܒܗ̇ ܐܘܪܚܟ ܘܠܐ ܬܥܒܕ ܒܗ̇ ܨܒܝܢܟ ܘܠܐ ܬܡܠܠ ܡܠܬܐ

“If you turn away your foot from the Sabbath, from doing your pleasure on my holy day, and call the Sabbath a delight, and the holy of Yahweh honorable, and honor it, not doing your own ways, nor finding your own pleasure, nor speaking your own words,

ܗܝܕܝܢ ܬܬܟܠ ܥܠ ܡܪܝܐ ܕܐܪܟܒܟ ܥܠ ܥܘܫܢܗ̇ ܕܐܪܥܐ ܘܐܘܟܠܟ ܝܪܬܘܬܗ ܕܝܥܩܘܒ ܐܒܘܟ ܡܛܠ ܕܦܘܡܗ ܕܡܪܝܐ ܡܠܠ

then you will delight yourself in Yahweh, and I will make you to ride on the high places of the earth, and I will feed you with the heritage of Jacob your father;” for Yahweh’s mouth has spoken it.
