חותי ותיבי על עפרא מלכו כנשתא דבבל תיבי לארעא לית כורסי יקר מלכות כשדאי ארי לא תוסיפין דיקרון לך רכיבא ומפנקא:
wmpnqa rkyba lk dyqrwn thwsypyn la ary kshday mlkwth yqr kwrsy lyth larea thyby dbbl knshtha mlkw epra el wthyby khwthy
“Come down and sit in the dust, virgin daughter of Babylon. Sit on the ground without a throne, daughter of the Chaldeans. For you will no longer be called tender and delicate.

קבילי מרועא ועולי בשעבוד גלא יקר מלכותיך אתברו שלטוניך אתבדרו עם משריתיך גלו כמי נהרא:
nhra kmy glw mshrythyk em athbdrw shlTwnyk athbrw mlkwthyk yqr gla bshebwd wewly mrwea qbyly
Take the millstones and grind flour. Remove your veil, lift up your skirt, uncover your legs, and wade through the rivers.

תתגלי בהתתיך אף יתחזי קלניך פורענות גמירא אתפרע מיניך ואשני דיניך מבני אנשא:
ansha mbny dynyk washny mynyk athpre gmyra pwrenwth qlnyk ythkhzy ap bhththyk ththgly
Your nakedness will be uncovered. Yes, your shame will be seen. I will take vengeance, and will spare no one.”

פרקנא יי צבאות שמה קדישא דישראל:
dyshral qdysha shmh tsbawth yy prqna
Our Redeemer, Yahweh of Armies is his name, is the Holy One of Israel.

תבי שתקא ועולי בקבלא יקר מלכות כסדאי ארי לא תוסיפין דיקרון ליך תקיפת מלכון:
mlkwn thqypth lyk dyqrwn thwsypyn la ary ksday mlkwth yqr bqbla wewly shthqa thby
“Sit in silence, and go into darkness, daughter of the Chaldeans. For you shall no longer be called the mistress of kingdoms.

רגיזית על עמי אפיסית אחסנתי ומסרתינון בידך לא אתמלית עליהון רחמין על סבא אתקיפתא מרותיך לחדא:
lkhda mrwthyk athqyptha sba el rkhmyn elyhwn athmlyth la bydk wmsrthynwn akhsnthy apysyth emy el rgyzyth
I was angry with my people. I profaned my inheritance and gave them into your hand. You showed them no mercy. You laid a very heavy yoke on the aged.

ואמרת לעלם אהי תקיפת מלכון עד לא שוית אלין על לביך לא אדכרת לסופא:
lswpa adkrth la lbyk el alyn shwyth la ed mlkwn thqypth ahy lelm wamrth
You said, ‘I will be a princess forever,’ so that you didn’t lay these things to your heart, nor did you remember the results.

וכען שמעי דא מפנקתא דיתבא לרחצן דאמרא בלבה אנא ולית בר מיני עוד לא איתיב ארמלו ולא אדע תיכלו:
thyklw ade wla armlw aythyb la ewd myny br wlyth ana blbh damra lrkhtsn dythba mpnqtha da shmey wken
“Now therefore hear this, you who are given to pleasures, who sit securely, who say in your heart, ‘I am, and there is no one else besides me. I won’t sit as a widow, neither will I know the loss of children.’

ויתין ליך תרתין אלין זמן ביומא חד תכל וארמלו כדשלמן ייתון עלך בסגיאות חרשך בתקוף קסמך לחדא:
lkhda qsmk bthqwp khrshk bsgyawth elk yythwn kdshlmn warmlw thkl khd bywma zmn alyn thrthyn lyk wythyn
But these two things will come to you in a moment in one day: the loss of children and widowhood. They will come on you in their full measure, in the multitude of your sorceries, and the great abundance of your enchantments.

ואתרחיצת בבישתיך אמרת לית דחזי לי חוכמתיך ומדעיך היא קלקלתיך ואמרת בלביך אנא ולית בר מיני עוד:
ewd myny br wlyth ana blbyk wamrth qlqlthyk hya wmdeyk khwkmthyk ly dkhzy lyth amrth bbyshthyk wathrkhytsth
For you have trusted in your wickedness. You have said, ‘No one sees me.’ Your wisdom and your knowledge has perverted you. You have said in your heart, ‘I am, and there is no one else besides me.’

ותיתי עלך בישתא לא תדעין למבעי עלה ותיפול עלך עקא לא תיכלין לאעדיותה ותיתי עלך בתכיף אתרגושא לא תידעין:
thydeyn la athrgwsha bthkyp elk wthythy laedywthh thyklyn la eqa elk wthypwl elh lmbey thdeyn la byshtha elk wthythy
Therefore disaster will come on you. You won’t know when it dawns. Mischief will fall on you. You won’t be able to put it away. Desolation will come on you suddenly, which you don’t understand.

קומי כען בקסומיך ובסגיות חרשיך דהוית מתעסקא בהון מינקותיך מאים תכלין להנאה מאים תכלין למתקף:
lmthqp thklyn maym lhnah thklyn maym mynqwthyk bhwn mthesqa dhwyth khrshyk wbsgywth bqswmyk ken qwmy
“Stand now with your enchantments and with the multitude of your sorceries, in which you have labored from your youth, as if you might profit, as if you might prevail.

לאית בסגיאות מלכך יקומון כען ויפרקוניך דמסכין למזלת שמיא ודחזן בכוכביא מהודעין זמניא מטען ליך למימר כן עתיד למיתי עלך ירח בירח:
byrkh yrkh elk lmythy ethyd kn lmymr lyk mTen zmnya mhwdeyn bkwkbya wdkhzn shmya lmzlth dmskyn wyprqwnyk ken yqwmwn mlkk bsgyawth layth
You are wearied in the multitude of your counsels. Now let the astrologers, the stargazers, and the monthly prognosticators stand up and save you from the things that will happen to you.

הא הוו חלשין כקשא עממיא דתקיפין כאשתא שיציאונון לא ישיזבון ית נפשהון מיד קטולין לית שאר ומשיזיב אף לא אתר לאשתיזבא ביה:
byh lashthyzba athr la ap wmshyzyb shar lyth qTwlyn myd npshhwn yth yshyzbwn la shytsyawnwn kashtha dthqypyn emmya kqsha khlshyn hww ha
Behold, they are like stubble. The fire will burn them. They won’t deliver themselves from the power of the flame. It won’t be a coal to warm at or a fire to sit by.

כן הוו ביך עובדי שקריך דהוית מתעסקא בהון מינקותיך שלטוני תוקפיך גבר לקביל אפוהי גלו לית דפריק ליך:
lyk dpryq lyth glw apwhy lqbyl gbr thwqpyk shlTwny mynqwthyk bhwn mthesqa dhwyth shqryk ewbdy byk hww kn
The things that you labored in will be like this: those who have trafficked with you from your youth will each wander in his own way. There will be no one to save you.
