ܒܙܒܢܐ ܗ̇ܘ ܫܕܪ ܡܪܘܕܟ ܒܠܕܢ ܒܪ ܒܠܕܢ ܡܠܟܐ ܕܒܒܠ ܐܝܓܪ̈ܬܐ ܘܩܘܪ̈ܒܢܐ ܠܚܙܩܝܐ ܡܛܠ ܕܫܡܥ ܕܐܬܟܪܗ ܘܚܣܢ ܘܐܬܚܠܡ

At that time, Merodach-baladan the son of Baladan, king of Babylon, sent letters and a present to Hezekiah, for he heard that he had been sick, and had recovered.

ܘܚܕܝ ܒܗܘܢ ܚܙܩܝܐ ܘܚܘܝ ܐܢܘܢ ܒܝܬ ܓܙܗ ܟܣܦܐ ܘܕܗܒܐ ܘܒܣܡ̈ܐ ܘܡܫܚܐ ܛܒܐ ܘܟܠܗܘܢ ܒܝܬ ܡܐ̈ܢܘܗܝ ܘܟܠ ܕܐܫܬܟܚ ܒ̈ܓܙܘܗܝ ܘܠܐ ܫܒܩ ܡܕܡ ܚܙܩܝܐ ܕܠܐ ܚܘܝ ܐܢܘܢ ܒܒܝܬܗ ܘܒܟܠܗ ܒܝܬ ܫܘܠܛܢܗ

Hezekiah was pleased with them, and showed them the house of his precious things, the silver, the gold, the spices, and the precious oil, and all the house of his armor, and all that was found in his treasures. There was nothing in his house, nor in all his dominion, that Hezekiah didn’t show them.

ܘܐܬܐ ܐܫܥܝܐ ܢܒܝܐ ܠܘܬ ܚܙܩܝܐ ܡܠܟܐ ܘܐܡܪ ܠܗ ܡܢܐ ܐܡܪܘ ܠܟ ܗܠܝܢ ܓܒܪ̈ܐ ܘܡܢ ܐܝܡܟܐ ܐܬܘ ܠܘܬܟ ܘܐܡܪ ܚܙܩܝܐ ܡܢ ܐܪܥܐ ܪܚܝܩܬܐ ܕܒܒܠ ܐܬܘ ܠܘܬܝ

Then Isaiah the prophet came to King Hezekiah, and asked him, “What did these men say? From where did they come to you?” Hezekiah said, “They have come from a country far from me, even from Babylon.”

ܘܐܡܪ ܡܢܐ ܚܙܘ ܒܒܝܬܟ ܘܐܡܪ ܚܙܩܝܐ ܟܠ ܕܐܝܬ ܒܒܝܬܝ ܚܙܘ ܘܠܐ ܫܒܩ̇ܬ ܡܕܡ ܒܒܝܬܝ ܕܠܐ ܚܘ̇ܝܬ ܐܢܘܢ
'nwn khwyth dl' bbythy mdm shbqth wl' khzw bbythy d'yth kl khzqy' w'mr bbythk khzw mn' w'mr
Then he asked, “What have they seen in your house?” Hezekiah answered, “They have seen all that is in my house. There is nothing among my treasures that I have not shown them.”

ܘܐܡܪ ܐܫܥܝܐ ܠܚܙܩܝܐ ܫܡܥ ܦܬܓܡܗ ܕܡܪܝܐ ܚܝܠܬܢܐ

Then Isaiah said to Hezekiah, “Hear the word of Yahweh of Armies:

ܗܐ ܝܘܡ̈ܬܐ ܐܬ̇ܝܢ ܘܢܫܬܩܠ ܟܠ ܕܐܝܬ ܒܒܝܬܟ ܘܓܙܐ ܕܐ̈ܒܗܝܟ ܕܥܕܡܐ ܠܝܘܡܢܐ ܠܒܒܠ ܢܐܙܠ. ܘܡܕܡ ܠܐ ܢܫܬܚܪ ܠܟ ܐܡ̇ܪ ܡܪܝܐ
mry' 'mr lk nshthkhr l' wmdm n'zl lbbl lywmn' dedm' d'bhyk wgz' bbythk d'yth kl wnshthql 'thyn ywmth' h'
‘Behold, the days are coming when all that is in your house, and that which your fathers have stored up until today, will be carried to Babylon. Nothing will be left,’ says Yahweh.

ܘܡܢ ܒ̈ܢܝܟ ܕܢܦ̇ܩܝܢ ܡܢܟ ܕܡܘܠܕ ܐܢܬ ܢܬܕܒܪܘܢ ܘܢܗܘܘܢ ܡܗ̈ܝܡܢܐ ܒܗܝܟܠܗ ܕܡܠܟܐ ܕܒܒܠ
dbbl dmlk' bhyklh mhymn' wnhwwn nthdbrwn 'nth dmwld mnk dnpqyn bnyk wmn
‘They will take away your sons who will issue from you, whom you shall father, and they will be eunuchs in the king of Babylon’s palace.’”

ܘܐܡܪ ܚܙܩܝܐ ܠܐܫܥܝܐ ܫܦܝܪ ܦܬܓܡܗ ܕܡܪܝܐ ܕܐܡܪܬ ܢܗܘܐ ܫܠܡܐ ܘܩܘܫܬܐ ܒܝ̈ܘܡܝ
bywmy wqwshth' shlm' nhw' d'mrth dmry' pthgmh shpyr l'shey' khzqy' w'mr
Then Hezekiah said to Isaiah, “Yahweh’s word which you have spoken is good.” He said moreover, “For there will be peace and truth in my days.”
