ܗܐ ܒܙܕܝܩܘܬܐ ܡ̈ܠܟܐ ܘܪ̈ܘܪܒܢܐ ܒܕܝܢܐ ܢܫܬܠܛܘܢ

Behold, a king shall reign in righteousness, and princes shall rule in justice.

ܘܢܗܘܐ ܓܒܪܐ ܐܝܟ ܓܢܝܐ ܠܪܘܚܐ ܘܐܝܟ ܣܬܪܐ ܠܙܪܝܦܬܐ ܘܐܝܟ ܬܦܐ ܕܡ̈ܝܐ ܒܨܗܝܐ ܘܐܝܟ ܛܠܠܐ ܕܟܐܦܐ ܥܫܝܢܬܐ ܒܐܪܥܐ ܡܛܪܦܬܐ
mTrpth' b're' eshynth' dk'p' Tll' w'yk btshy' dmy' thp' w'yk lzrypth' sthr' w'yk lrwkh' gny' 'yk gbr' wnhw'
A man shall be as a hiding place from the wind, and a covert from the storm, as streams of water in a dry place, as the shade of a large rock in a weary land.

ܘܠܐ ܢܬܬܫ̈ܝܥܢ ܥܝܢ̈ܝܗܘܢ ܕܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܚ̇ܙܝܢ ܘܐ̈ܕܢܝܗܘܢ ܕܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܫܡ̇ܥܝܢ ܢܨ̈ܘܬܢ
ntswthn dshmeyn d'ylyn w'dnyhwn dkhzyn d'ylyn eynyhwn nththshyen wl'
The eyes of those who see will not be dim, and the ears of those who hear will listen.

ܘܠܒܐ ܕܣܟܠ ܢܣܬܟܠ ܝܕܥܬܐ ܘܠܫܢܐ ܕܠܥܓܐ ܢܣܬܪܗܒ ܠܡܡܠܠܘ ܫܠܡܐ
shlm' lmmllw nsthrhb dleg' wlshn' ydeth' nsthkl dskl wlb'
The heart of the rash will understand knowledge, and the tongue of the stammerers will be ready to speak plainly.

ܘܠܐ ܢܩܪܘܢ ܬܘܒ ܠܫ̇ܛܝܐ ܫܠܝܛܐ ܐܦ ܠܐ ܠܣܪܝܩܐ ܢܩܪܘܢ ܦܪܘܩܐ
prwq' nqrwn lsryq' l' 'p shlyT' lshTy' thwb nqrwn wl'
The fool will no longer be called noble, nor the scoundrel be highly respected.

ܡܛܠ ܕܫ̇ܛܝܐ ܫܛܝܘܬܐ ܡܡܠܠ ܘܠܒܗ ܚܫ̇ܠ ܥܘܠܐ ܕܢܥܒܕ ܚܠܦܘܬܐ ܘܢܡܠܠ ܥܠ ܛܥܝܘܬܐ ܘܢܣܪܩ ܢܦܫܐ ܕܟܦܢܐ ܘܡܫܬܝܐ ܕܨܗܝܐ ܢܓܝܙ

For the fool will speak folly, and his heart will work iniquity, to practice profanity, and to utter error against Yahweh, to make empty the soul of the hungry, and to cause the drink of the thirsty to fail.

ܒܝܫܝܢ ܐܢܘܢ ܡܐ̈ܢܘܗܝ ܕܣܪܝܩܐ ܘܗܘ ܬܪܥܝܬܐ ܡܬܚܫܒ ܠܡܚܒܠܘ ܡܣ̈ܟܢܐ ܒܡܐܡܪܐ ܕܫܘܩܪܐ ܘܡܠܬܗ ܕܒ̇ܝܫܐ ܒܕܝܢܐ
bdyn' dbysh' wmlthh dshwqr' bm'mr' mskn' lmkhblw mthkhshb threyth' whw dsryq' m'nwhy 'nwn byshyn
The ways of the scoundrel are evil. He devises wicked plans to destroy the humble with lying words, even when the needy speaks right.

ܘܪܒܐ ܪܒܘܬܐ ܡܬܪܥܐ ܘܗܘ ܥܠ ܪܒܘܬܐ ܢܩܘܡ
nqwm rbwth' el whw mthre' rbwth' wrb'
But the noble devises noble things, and he will continue in noble things.

ܢܫ̈ܐ ܥܬܝܪ̈ܬܐ ܩܘܡ̈ܝܢ ܫܡ̈ܥܝܢ ܩܠܝ ܒܢ̈ܬܐ ܕܡܣܒܪ̈ܢ ܨܘ̈ܬܝܢ ܡ̈ܠܝ
mly tswthyn dmsbrn bnth' qly shmeyn qwmyn ethyrth' nsh'
Rise up, you women who are at ease! Hear my voice! You careless daughters, give ear to my speech!

ܝܘܡ̈ܬܐ ܕܫܢܬܐ ܢܪ̈ܓܙܢ ܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܡܣܒܪ̈ܢ ܡܛܠ ܕܓܡܪ ܩܛܦܐ ܘܐܬܚܡܠ ܘܠܐ ܐܬܐ
'th' wl' w'thkhml qTp' dgmr mTl dmsbrn 'ylyn nrgzn dshnth' ywmth'
For days beyond a year you will be troubled, you careless women; for the vintage will fail. The harvest won’t come.

ܙܘ̈ܥܝܢ ܥܬܝܪ̈ܬܐ ܘܪ̈ܓܙܝܢ ܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܡܣܒܪ̈ܢ ܫ̈ܠܚܝܢ ܥܪܛܠ ܡܚ̈ܝܢ ܣܩ̈ܐ ܒܚ̈ܨܝܟܝܢ
bkhtsykyn sq' mkhyn erTl shlkhyn dmsbrn 'ylyn wrgzyn ethyrth' zweyn
Tremble, you women who are at ease! Be troubled, you careless ones! Strip yourselves, make yourselves naked, and put sackcloth on your waist.

ܘܥܠ ܬܕ̈ܝܟܝܢ ܐܪ̈ܩܕܝܢ ܥܠ ܬܕܐܐ ܕܚܩܠܐ ܘܥܠ ܓܦܬܐ ܕܦܐܪ̈ܝܗ̇
dp'ryh gpth' wel dkhql' thd'' el 'rqdyn thdykyn wel
Beat your breasts for the pleasant fields, for the fruitful vine.

ܘܥܠ ܐܪܥܗ ܕܥܡܝ ܟܘܒ̈ܐ ܘܝܥܪܐ ܢܐܥܘܢ ܘܒܟܠܗܘܢ ܒ̈ܬܐ ܕܚܕܘܬܐ ܘܒܩܪܝܬܐ ܥܫܝܢܬܐ
eshynth' wbqryth' dkhdwth' bth' wbklhwn n'ewn wyer' kwb' demy 'reh wel
Thorns and briers will come up on my people’s land; yes, on all the houses of joy in the joyous city.

ܡܛܠ ܕܢܘܣܐ ܐܬܛܥܝ ܘܚܝܠܐ ܕܩܪܝܬܐ ܐܫܬܒܩ ܘܫܘܦܪܗܘܢ ܕܒ̈ܬܐ ܗܘܐ ܠܡܥܪ̈ܐ ܥܕܡܐ ܠܥܠܡ ܟܘ̈ܒܐ ܘܚܕܘܬܐ ܠܥܪ̈ܕܐ ܘܒܝܬ ܪܥܝܐ ܠܓܙܪ̈ܐ ܕܥܢܐ
den' lgzr' rey' wbyth lerd' wkhdwth' kwb' lelm edm' lmer' hw' dbth' wshwprhwn 'shthbq dqryth' wkhyl' 'thTey dnws' mTl
For the palace will be forsaken. The populous city will be deserted. The hill and the watchtower will be for dens forever, a delight for wild donkeys, a pasture of flocks,

ܥܕܡܐ ܕܬܬܥܝܪ ܥܠܝܢ ܪܘܚܐ ܡܢ ܡܪܘܡܐ ܘܢܗܘܐ ܡܕܒܪܐ ܐܝܟ ܟܪܡܠܐ ܘܟܪܡܠܐ ܐܝܟ ܥܒܐ ܢܬܚܫܒ
nthkhshb eb' 'yk wkrml' krml' 'yk mdbr' wnhw' mrwm' mn rwkh' elyn dththeyr edm'
until the Spirit is poured on us from on high, and the wilderness becomes a fruitful field, and the fruitful field is considered a forest.

ܘܢܫܪܐ ܕܝܢܐ ܒܡܕܒܪܐ ܘܙܕܝܩܘܬܐ ܒܟܪܡܠܐ ܬܬܝܗܒ

Then justice will dwell in the wilderness; and righteousness will remain in the fruitful field.

ܘܢܗܘܐ ܥ̇ܒܕܗ̇ ܕܙܕܝܩܘܬܐ ܫܠܡܐ ܘܦܘܠܚܢܗ̇ ܕܙܕܝܩܘܬܐ ܫܠܝܐ ܘܣܒܪܐ ܠܥܠܡ ܥܠܡܝܢ
elmyn lelm wsbr' shly' dzdyqwth' wpwlkhnh shlm' dzdyqwth' ebdh wnhw'
The work of righteousness will be peace, and the effect of righteousness, quietness and confidence forever.

ܘܢܬܒ ܥܡܝ ܒܕܝܪܐ ܕܫܠܡܐ ܘܒܡܫܟܢܐ ܕܣܒܪܐ ܘܒܝܬ ܡܫܪܝܐ ܕܣܒܪܐ
dsbr' mshry' wbyth dsbr' wbmshkn' dshlm' bdyr' emy wnthb
My people will live in a peaceful habitation, in safe dwellings, and in quiet resting places,

ܘܒܪܕܐ ܢܚܘܬ ܥܠ ܥܒܐ ܘܐܝܟ ܦܩܥܬܐ ܬܬܡܟܟ ܡܕܝܢܬܐ

though hail flattens the forest, and the city is leveled completely.
