וי בניא מרודיא אמר יי למעבד עצה ולא ממימרי ולאתמלכא מלך ולא שאלין בנביי בדיל לאוספא חובין על חובי נפשהון:
npshhwn khwby el khwbyn lawspa bdyl bnbyy shalyn wla mlk wlathmlka mmymry wla etsh lmebd yy amr mrwdya bnya wy
“Woe to the rebellious children”, says Yahweh, “who take counsel, but not from me; and who make an alliance, but not with my Spirit, that they may add sin to sin;

דאזלין למיחת למצרים ובפתגמי נביי לא שאילו לאתקפא בתקוף פרעה ולאתרחצא בטלל מצרים:
mtsrym bTll wlathrkhtsa preh bthqwp lathqpa shaylw la nbyy wbpthgmy lmtsrym lmykhth dazlyn
who set out to go down into Egypt without asking for my advice, to strengthen themselves in the strength of Pharaoh, and to take refuge in the shadow of Egypt!

ויהי לכון תקוף פרעה לבהתא ואתרחצנא בטלל מצרים לאתכניעו:
lathknyew mtsrym bTll wathrkhtsna lbhtha preh thqwp lkwn wyhy
Therefore the strength of Pharaoh will be your shame, and the refuge in the shadow of Egypt your confusion.

ארי הוו בטאניס רברבוהי ואזגדוהי עד תחפנחס מטו:
mTw thkhpnkhs ed wazgdwhy rbrbwhy bTanys hww ary
For their princes are at Zoan, and their ambassadors have come to Hanes.

כולהון אזלין למבהת לות עמא דלא יהנון להון לא לסעיד ולא להנאה ארי לבהתא ואף לחסודין:
lkhswdyn wap lbhtha ary lhnah wla lseyd la lhwn yhnwn dla ema lwth lmbhth azlyn kwlhwn
They shall all be ashamed because of a people that can’t profit them, that are not a help nor profit, but a shame, and also a reproach.”

מטלין על בעירהון באורח דרומא בארע עקא ועיוק אתר דאריא בר אויון וחיון הורמנין מפרחין נטלין על כתף עילין נכסיהון ועל חטוריאת גמלין מא דבאצריהון מובלין לעם לא יהנון להון:
lhwn yhnwn la lem mwblyn dbatsryhwn ma gmlyn khTwryath wel nksyhwn eylyn kthp el nTlyn mprkhyn hwrmnyn wkhywn awywn br darya athr weywq eqa bare drwma bawrkh beyrhwn el mTlyn
The burden of the animals of the South. Through the land of trouble and anguish, of the lioness and the lion, the viper and fiery flying serpent, they carry their riches on the shoulders of young donkeys, and their treasures on the humps of camels, to an unprofitable people.

ומצראי למא וריקנו סעדהון בכן ערעית מנהון קטילין זמינין איתי עליהון:
elyhwn aythy zmynyn qTylyn mnhwn ereyth bkn sedhwn wryqnw lma wmtsray
For Egypt helps in vain, and to no purpose; therefore I have called her Rahab who sits still.

כען עול כתב על לוח ביניהון ועל שיטין דספר רשום ותהי ליום דין לסהדו קדמי עד עלמא:
elma ed qdmy lshdw dyn lywm wthhy rshwm dspr shyTyn wel bynyhwn lwkh el kthb ewl ken
Now go, write it before them on a tablet, and inscribe it in a book, that it may be for the time to come forever and ever.

ארי עם סרבן אינון בניא כדיביא בניא לא אבו לקבלא אולפן אוריתא דיי:
dyy awrytha awlpn lqbla abw la bnya kdybya bnya aynwn srbn em ary
For it is a rebellious people, lying children, children who will not hear Yahweh’s law;

דאמרין לנבייא לא תתנבון ולמלפיא לא תלפון לנא אולפן אוריתא בסימן מלילו עמנא אשתעו לנא שנין:
shnyn lna ashthew emna mlylw bsymn awrytha awlpn lna thlpwn la wlmlpya ththnbwn la lnbyya damryn
who tell the seers, “Don’t see!” and the prophets, “Don’t prophesy to us right things. Tell us pleasant things. Prophesy deceits.

אסטיונא מאורחא דתקנא אבטלונא ממסרתא ארחיקו מן קדמנא ית מימר קדישא דישראל:
dyshral qdysha mymr yth qdmna mn arkhyqw mmsrtha abTlwna dthqna mawrkha asTywna
Get out of the way. Turn away from the path. Cause the Holy One of Israel to cease from before us.”

בכן כדנן אמר קדישא דישראל חלף דקצתון בפתגמא הדין ואתרחיצתון בשקרא ובאונסא ואסתמכתון עלוהי:
elwhy wasthmkthwn wbawnsa bshqra wathrkhytsthwn hdyn bpthgma dqtsthwn khlp dyshral qdysha amr kdnn bkn
Therefore the Holy One of Israel says, “Because you despise this word, and trust in oppression and perverseness, and rely on it,

בכן יהי לכון חובא הדין ככרך דחרוב ואתחמר כשור מתקף דבתכיף שלו ייתי תבריה:
thbryh yythy shlw dbthkyp mthqp kshwr wathkhmr dkhrwb kkrk hdyn khwba lkwn yhy bkn
therefore this iniquity shall be to you like a breach ready to fall, swelling out in a high wall, whose breaking comes suddenly in an instant.

ותברה כתבור מן דחסף דפחרא דמדקק לא בחיס ולא משתכח בדיקוקיה חסף למחתי גור ממבעור ולמדלח מיין מפציר:
mptsyr myyn wlmdlkh mmbewr gwr lmkhthy khsp bdyqwqyh mshthkkh wla bkhys la dmdqq dpkhra dkhsp mn kthbwr wthbrh
He will break it as a potter’s vessel is broken, breaking it in pieces without sparing, so that there won’t be found among the broken pieces a piece good enough to take fire from the hearth, or to dip up water out of the cistern.”

ארי כדנן אמר יי אלהים קדישא דישראל אמרית די תתובון לאוריתא תנוחון לאוריתא תנוחון ותתפרקון תשקטון ותשרון לרוחצן תהון גברין ולא אביתון:
abythwn wla gbryn thhwn lrwkhtsn wthshrwn thshqTwn wththprqwn thnwkhwn lawrytha thnwkhwn lawrytha ththwbwn dy amryth dyshral qdysha alhym yy amr kdnn ary
For thus said the Lord Yahweh, the Holy One of Israel, “You will be saved in returning and rest. Your strength will be in quietness and in confidence.” You refused,

ואמרתון לא אלהין על סוסותא נערוק ועל כן תערקון ועל קלילין נרכוב על כן יהון קלילין רדפיכון:
rdpykwn qlylyn yhwn kn el nrkwb qlylyn wel therqwn kn wel nerwq swswtha el alhyn la wamrthwn
but you said, “No, for we will flee on horses;” therefore you will flee; and, “We will ride on the swift;” therefore those who pursue you will be swift.

אלפא חד מן קדם מזופית חמשא תערקון עד דתשתארון ככוערא על ריש טורא ובאתא על רמתא:
rmtha el wbatha Twra rysh el kkwera dthshtharwn ed therqwn khmsha mzwpyth qdm mn khd alpa
One thousand will flee at the threat of one. At the threat of five, you will flee until you are left like a beacon on the top of a mountain, and like a banner on a hill.

ובכן עתיד יי למיחס עליכון ותקיף הוא דירחם עליכון ארי אלהא עביד דינא יי טובי צדיקיא דמסברין לפורקנה:
lpwrqnh dmsbryn tsdyqya Twby yy dyna ebyd alha ary elykwn dyrkhm hwa wthqyp elykwn lmykhs yy ethyd wbkn
Therefore Yahweh will wait, that he may be gracious to you; and therefore he will be exalted, that he may have mercy on you, for Yahweh is a God of justice. Blessed are all those who wait for him.

ארי עמא בציון יתיב בירושלם מבכא לא תבכי רחמא ירחם עלך קל צלותך יקבל ויעביד בעותך:
bewthk wyebyd yqbl tslwthk ql elk yrkhm rkhma thbky la mbka byrwshlm ythyb btsywn ema ary
For the people will dwell in Zion at Jerusalem. You will weep no more. He will surely be gracious to you at the voice of your cry. When he hears you, he will answer you.

ויהב לכון יי נכסי סנאה ובזת מעיקא ולא יסלק עוד שכינתה מבית מקדשא ויהוין עינך חזין ית שכנתי בבית מקדשא:
mqdsha bbyth shknthy yth khzyn eynk wyhwyn mqdsha mbyth shkynthh ewd yslq wla meyqa wbzth snah nksy yy lkwn wyhb
Though the Lord may give you the bread of adversity and the water of affliction, yet your teachers won’t be hidden any more, but your eyes will see your teachers;

ואודנך ישמעון פתגמא מבתרך למימר הדא אורחא דתקנא הליכו בה לא תסטון מניה לימינא ולסמאלא:
wlsmala lymyna mnyh thsTwn la bh hlykw dthqna awrkha hda lmymr mbthrk pthgma yshmewn wawdnk
and when you turn to the right hand, and when you turn to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, “This is the way. Walk in it.”

ותסאבון ית חפוי צלמי כספיכון וית תקון מתכת דהבכון תרחיקינון כמא דמרחקין ית טומאתא כן תרחיקינון:
thrkhyqynwn kn Twmatha yth dmrkhqyn kma thrkhyqynwn dhbkwn mthkth thqwn wyth kspykwn tslmy khpwy yth wthsabwn
You shall defile the overlaying of your engraved images of silver, and the plating of your molten images of gold. You shall cast them away as an unclean thing. You shall tell it, “Go away!”

ויתן מטר זרעך די תזרע ית ארעא ועבורא ועללא יסגי בארעא ויהי פרנוס וטב ויתפרנסון צדיקיא מיגיתיהון בעדנא ההיא שמן רכיכין ופטימין:
wpTymyn rkykyn shmn hhya bedna mygythyhwn tsdyqya wythprnswn wTb prnws wyhy barea ysgy wella webwra area yth thzre dy zrek mTr wythn
He will give the rain for your seed, with which you will sow the ground; and bread of the increase of the ground will be rich and plentiful. In that day, your livestock will feed in large pastures.

ותוריא וחמריא די מפלחין בהון ית ארעא בליל מפטם יכלון די דרא בריחתא ובמדירא:
wbmdyra brykhtha dra dy yklwn mpTm blyl area yth bhwn mplkhyn dy wkhmrya wthwrya
The oxen likewise and the young donkeys that till the ground will eat savory feed, which has been winnowed with the shovel and with the fork.

ויהי על כל טור רם ועל כל רמא מנטלא פצידין נגדין מיין תקלא למלכין ולמשריתהון ביום קטול רב במפל רברבין:
rbrbyn bmpl rb qTwl bywm wlmshrythhwn lmlkyn thqla myyn ngdyn ptsydyn mnTla rma kl wel rm Twr kl el wyhy
There will be brooks and streams of water on every lofty mountain and on every high hill in the day of the great slaughter, when the towers fall.

ויהי ניהור סיהרא כניהור שמשא וניהור שמשא יהי עתיד לאנהרא על חד תלת מאה ארבעין ותלתא כניהור שבעת יומיא ביומא דיתיב יי ית גלות עמיה ומרע מחתיה יסי:
ysy mkhthyh wmre emyh glwth yth yy dythyb bywma ywmya shbeth knyhwr wthltha arbeyn mah thlth khd el lanhra ethyd yhy shmsha wnyhwr shmsha knyhwr syhra nyhwr wyhy
Moreover the light of the moon will be like the light of the sun, and the light of the sun will be seven times brighter, like the light of seven days, in the day that Yahweh binds up the fracture of his people, and heals the wound they were struck with.

הא שמא דיי מתגלי כמא דאתנביאו עלוהי נבייא מלקדמין תקיף רוגזה וקשי מלסוברא מן קדמוהי על רשיעיא נפק לוט ומימרה כאשא אכלא:
akla kasha wmymrh lwT npq rshyeya el qdmwhy mn mlswbra wqshy rwgzh thqyp mlqdmyn nbyya elwhy dathnbyaw kma mthgly dyy shma ha
Behold, Yahweh’s name comes from far away, burning with his anger, and in thick rising smoke. His lips are full of indignation. His tongue is as a devouring fire.

ומימרה כנחל מגבר עד צואר תקיפין יקטיל לארמא עממיא ברמות ריקנו וזמם דטעו בליסת עממיא:
emmya blysth dTew wzmm ryqnw brmwth emmya larma yqTyl thqypyn tswar ed mgbr knkhl wmymrh
His breath is as an overflowing stream that reaches even to the neck, to sift the nations with the sieve of destruction. A bridle that leads to ruin will be in the jaws of the peoples.

תושבחא תהי לכון כליליא דאתקדש ביה חגא וחדות לבא כמא דנגין בתודתא באבובא למיעל בטור קודשא דיי לאתחזאה קדם תקיפא דישראל:
dyshral thqypa qdm lathkhzah dyy qwdsha bTwr lmyel babwba bthwdtha dngyn kma lba wkhdwth khga byh dathqdsh klylya lkwn thhy thwshbkha
You will have a song, as in the night when a holy feast is kept, and gladness of heart, as when one goes with a flute to come to Yahweh’s mountain, to Israel’s Rock.

וישמע יי ית זיו קל מימרה ותקוף דרע גבורתה יגלי בתקוף רגז ושלהובי אשא דמשיצא פסילן בדור וזרמית ואבנין דברד:
dbrd wabnyn wzrmyth bdwr psyln dmshytsa asha wshlhwby rgz bthqwp ygly gbwrthh dre wthqwp mymrh ql zyw yth yy wyshme
Yahweh will cause his glorious voice to be heard, and will show the descent of his arm, with the indignation of his anger and the flame of a devouring fire, with a blast, storm, and hailstones.

ארי מקל מימרא דיי מתבר אתוראה די די בשולטן מחי:
mkhy bshwlTn dy dy athwrah mthbr dyy mymra mql ary
For through Yahweh’s voice the Assyrian will be dismayed. He will strike him with his rod.
32
ויהי כל מעבר רברביהון ותקיפיהון די יניח יי פורענות גבורתה ביניהון בתופין ובכינורין ישבחון בית ישראל ועל קרבא תקיפא דיתעביד להון בעממיא:
bemmya lhwn dythebyd thqypa qrba wel yshral byth yshbkhwn wbkynwryn bthwpyn bynyhwn gbwrthh pwrenwth yy ynykh dy wthqypyhwn rbrbyhwn mebr kl wyhy
Every stroke of the rod of punishment, which Yahweh will lay on him, will be with the sound of tambourines and harps. He will fight with them in battles, brandishing weapons.

ארי מסדרא מן עלמין לקביל חוביהון גהנם אף היא מלך עלמיא אתקנא לעמיקא ולאפתאה מדורא דאשתא דלקא בה כד באעין סגיאין מימרא דיי כנחל מגבר גפרית דלקא בה:
bh dlqa gpryth mgbr knkhl dyy mymra sgyayn baeyn kd bh dlqa dashtha mdwra wlapthah lemyqa athqna elmya mlk hya ap ghnm khwbyhwn lqbyl elmyn mn msdra ary
For his burning place has long been ready. Yes, it is prepared for the king. He has made its pyre deep and large with fire and much wood. Yahweh’s breath, like a stream of sulfur, kindles it.
