ܦܬܓܡܐ ܕܚܙܐ ܐܫܥܝܐ ܒܪ ܐܡܘܨ ܥܠ ܝܗܘܕܐ ܘܥܠ ܐܘܪܫܠܡ
'wrshlm wel yhwd' el 'mwts br 'shey' dkhz' pthgm'
This is what Isaiah the son of Amoz saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem.

ܢܗܘܐ ܒܝܘܡ̈ܬܐ ܐܚܪ̈ܝܐ ܛܘܪ ܒܝܬܗ ܕܡܪܝܐ ܡܬܩܢ ܒܪܝܫ ܛܘܪ̈ܐ ܘܪܡ ܡܢ ܪ̈ܡܬܐ ܘܢܣܟܘܢ ܠܗ ܟܠܗܘܢ ܥܡ̈ܡܐ
emm' klhwn lh wnskwn rmth' mn wrm Twr' brysh mthqn dmry' bythh Twr 'khry' bywmth' nhw'
It shall happen in the latter days, that the mountain of Yahweh’s house shall be established on the top of the mountains, and shall be raised above the hills; and all nations shall flow to it.

ܘܢܐܙܠܘܢ ܥܡ̈ܡܐ ܣ̈ܓܝܐܐ ܘܢܐܡܪܘܢ ܬܘ ܢܣܩ ܠܛܘܪܗ ܕܡܪܝܐ ܘܠܒܝܬ ܐܠܗܗ ܕܝܥܩܘܒ ܘܢܠܦܢ ܡܢ ܐܘܪ̈ܚܬܗ ܘܢܗܠܟ ܒܫ̈ܒܝܠܘܗܝ ܡܛܠ ܕܡܢ ܨܗܝܘܢ ܢܦ̇ܩ ܢܡܘܣܐ ܘܦܬܓܡܗ ܕܡܪܝܐ ܡܢ ܐܪܫܠܡ
'rshlm mn dmry' wpthgmh nmws' npq tshywn dmn mTl bshbylwhy wnhlk 'wrkhthh mn wnlpn dyeqwb 'lhh wlbyth dmry' lTwrh nsq thw wn'mrwn sgy'' emm' wn'zlwn
Many peoples shall go and say, “Come, let’s go up to the mountain of Yahweh, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths.” For the law shall go out of Zion, and Yahweh’s word from Jerusalem.

ܘܢܕܘܢ ܒܝܬ ܥܡ̈ܡܐ ܘܢܟܣ ܠܥܡ̈ܡܐ ܣ̈ܓܝܐܐ ܕܒܪܘܚܩܐ ܘܢܪܥܘܢ ܣܦܣܪ̈ܝܗܘܢ ܠܣ̈ܟܝ ܦܕ̈ܢܐ ܘܪ̈ܘܡܚܝܗܘܢ ܠܡ̈ܓܠܐ ܘܠܐ ܢܫܩܘܠ ܥܡܐ ܥܠ ܥܡܐ ܣܝܦܐ ܘܬܘܒ ܠܐ ܢܐܠܦܘܢ ܩܪܒܐ
qrb' n'lpwn l' wthwb syp' em' el em' nshqwl wl' lmgl' wrwmkhyhwn pdn' lsky spsryhwn wnrewn dbrwkhq' sgy'' lemm' wnks emm' byth wndwn
He will judge between the nations, and will decide concerning many peoples. They shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks. Nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.

ܕܒܝܬ ܝܥܩܘܒ ܬܘ ܢܐܙܠ ܒܢܘܗܪܗ ܕܡܪܝܐ
dmry' bnwhrh n'zl thw yeqwb dbyth
House of Jacob, come, and let’s walk in the light of Yahweh.

ܡܛܠ ܕܫܒܩܬܝܗܝ ܠܥܡܟ ܕܒܝܬ ܝܥܩܘܒ ܡܛܘܠ ܕܐܬܡܠܝܘ ܐܝܟ ܕܡܢ ܩܕܝܡ ܘܡܢܚܫܝܢ ܐܝܟ ܦܠܫ̈ܬܝܐ ܘܣܘܓܐܐ ܕܒ̈ܢܝܐ ܢܘܟܪ̈ܝܐ ܪܒܝܘ
rbyw nwkry' dbny' wswg'' plshthy' 'yk wmnkhshyn qdym dmn 'yk d'thmlyw mTwl yeqwb dbyth lemk dshbqthyhy mTl
For you have forsaken your people, the house of Jacob, because they are filled from the east, with those who practice divination like the Philistines, and they clasp hands with the children of foreigners.

ܘܐܬܡܠܝܬ ܐܪܥܗܘܢ ܣܐܡܐ ܘܕܗܒܐ ܘܠܝܬ ܣܟܐ ܠܓܙܝ̈ܗܘܢ ܘܐܬܡܠܝܬ ܐܪܥܗܘܢ ܪ̈ܟܫܐ ܘܠܝܬ ܣܟܐ ܠܡܪ̈ܟܒܬܗܘܢ
lmrkbthhwn sk' wlyth rksh' 'rehwn w'thmlyth lgzyhwn sk' wlyth wdhb' s'm' 'rehwn w'thmlyth
Their land is full of silver and gold, neither is there any end of their treasures. Their land also is full of horses, neither is there any end of their chariots.

ܘܐܬܡܠܝܬ ܐܪܥܗܘܢ ܦܬܟܪ̈ܐ ܠܥܒ̇ܕ ܐ̈ܝܕܝܗܘܢ ܣܓ̈ܕܝܢ ܠܕܥܒ̣ܕ ܨܒ̈ܥܬܗܘܢ
tsbethhwn ldebd sgdyn 'ydyhwn lebd pthkr' 'rehwn w'thmlyth
Their land also is full of idols. They worship the work of their own hands, that which their own fingers have made.

ܘܐܬܡܟܟ ܐܢܫܐ ܘܐܫܬܦܠ ܓܒܪܐ ܘܠܐ ܬܫܒܘܩ ܠܗܘܢ
lhwn thshbwq wl' gbr' w'shthpl 'nsh' w'thmkk
Man is brought low, and mankind is humbled; therefore don’t forgive them.

ܥܘܠܘ ܒܛܪ̈ܢܐ ܘܐܬܛܡܪܘ ܒܥܦܪܐ ܡܢ ܩܕܡ ܕܚܠܬܗ ܕܡܪܝܐ ܘܡܢ ܗܕܪܐ ܕܥܘܫܢܗ
dewshnh hdr' wmn dmry' dkhlthh qdm mn bepr' w'thTmrw bTrn' ewlw
Enter into the rock, and hide in the dust, from before the terror of Yahweh, and from the glory of his majesty.

ܥܝ̈ܢܐ ܪ̈ܡܬܐ ܕܐܢܫܐ ܢܡܟܟ ܘܢܬܡܟܟ ܪܘܡܐ ܕܓܒܪܐ ܘܢܥܫܢ ܡܪܝܐ ܒܠܚܘܕܘܗܝ ܒܝܘܡܐ ܗ̇ܘ
hw bywm' blkhwdwhy mry' wneshn dgbr' rwm' wnthmkk nmkk d'nsh' rmth' eyn'
The lofty looks of man will be brought low, the arrogance of men will be bowed down, and Yahweh alone will be exalted in that day.

ܡܛܠ ܕܝܘܡܗ ܕܡܪܝܐ ܥܠ ܟܠ ܕܡܬܓܐܐ ܘܡܬܬܪܝܡ ܘܥܠ ܟܠ ܕܡܫܬܩܠ ܕܢܬܡܟܟ
dnthmkk dmshthql kl wel wmththrym dmthg'' kl el dmry' dywmh mTl
For there will be a day of Yahweh of Armies for all that is proud and arrogant, and for all that is lifted up, and it shall be brought low—

ܘܥܠ ܟܠܗܘܢ ܐܪ̈ܙܐ ܕܠܒܢܢ ܕܪܡܝܢ ܘܡܫܩܠܝܢ ܘܥܠ ܟܠܗܘܢ ܒ̈ܠܘܛܐ ܕܒܝܫܢ
dbyshn blwT' klhwn wel wmshqlyn drmyn dlbnn 'rz' klhwn wel
for all the cedars of Lebanon, that are high and lifted up, for all the oaks of Bashan,

ܘܥܠ ܟܠܗܘܢ ܛܘܪ̈ܐ ܕܪܡܝܢ ܘܥܠ ܟܠ ܪ̈ܡܬܐ ܕܪ̈ܡܢ
drmn rmth' kl wel drmyn Twr' klhwn wel
for all the high mountains, for all the hills that are lifted up,

ܘܥܠ ܟܠ ܡ̈ܓܕܠܐ ܕܪܡܝܢ ܘܥܠ ܟܠ ܫܘܪ̈ܐ ܕܥܫܝܢܝܢ
deshynyn shwr' kl wel drmyn mgdl' kl wel
for every lofty tower, for every fortified wall,

ܘܥܠ ܟܠܗܝܢ ܐ̈ܠܦܐ ܕܬܪܫܝܫ ܘܥܠ ܟܠܗܘܢ ܕܘܩ̈ܐ ܕܪܓܬܐ
drgth' dwq' klhwn wel dthrshysh 'lp' klhyn wel
for all the ships of Tarshish, and for all pleasant imagery.

ܘܢܬܡܟܟ ܪܘܡܐ ܕܐܢܫܐ ܘܢܫܬܦܠ ܪܘܡܐ ܕܓܒܪܐ ܘܢܥܫܢ ܡܪܝܐ ܒܠܚܘܕܘܗܝ ܒܝܘܡܐ ܗ̇ܘ
hw bywm' blkhwdwhy mry' wneshn dgbr' rwm' wnshthpl d'nsh' rwm' wnthmkk
The loftiness of man shall be bowed down, and the arrogance of men shall be brought low; and Yahweh alone shall be exalted in that day.

ܘܦܬܟܪ̈ܐ ܓܡܝܪܐܝܬ ܢܥܒܪܘܢ
nebrwn gmyr'yth wpthkr'
The idols shall utterly pass away.
19
ܘܢܥܠܘܢ ܒܡܥܪ̈ܐ ܕܟܐܦܐ ܘܒܚ̈ܘܠܢܐ ܕܥܦܪܐ ܡܢ ܩܕܡ ܕܚܠܬܗ ܕܡܪܝܐ ܘܡܢ ܗܕܪܐ ܕܥܘܫܢܗ ܡܐ ܕܩܐ̇ܡ ܠܡܟܒܫܘ ܠܐܪܥܐ
l're' lmkbshw dq'm m' dewshnh hdr' wmn dmry' dkhlthh qdm mn depr' wbkhwln' dk'p' bmer' wnelwn
Men shall go into the caves of the rocks, and into the holes of the earth, from before the terror of Yahweh, and from the glory of his majesty, when he arises to shake the earth mightily.

ܒܗ ܒܝܘܡܐ ܗ̇ܘ ܢܫܕܘܢ ܐܢܫܐ ܦܬܟܪ̈ܐ ܕܕܗܒܐ ܘܕܣܐܡܐ ܕܥܒܕܘ ܠܗܘܢ ܠܡܣܓܕ ܠܣܪܝܩܘܬܐ ܘܠܦܪ̈ܚܕܘܕܐ
wlprkhdwd' lsryqwth' lmsgd lhwn debdw wds'm' ddhb' pthkr' 'nsh' nshdwn hw bywm' bh
In that day, men shall cast away their idols of silver and their idols of gold, which have been made for themselves to worship, to the moles and to the bats,

ܠܡܥܠ ܒܡܥܪ̈ܐ ܕܛܪܢܐ ܘܒܫܩܝܦܐ ܕܟܐܦܐ ܡܢ ܩܕܡ ܕܚܠܬܗ ܕܡܪܝܐ ܘܡܢ ܗܕܪܐ ܕܥܘܫܢܗ ܡܐ ܕܩܐ̇ܡ ܠܡܟܒܫܘ ܠܐܪܥܐ
l're' lmkbshw dq'm m' dewshnh hdr' wmn dmry' dkhlthh qdm mn dk'p' wbshqyp' dTrn' bmer' lmel
to go into the caverns of the rocks, and into the clefts of the ragged rocks, from before the terror of Yahweh, and from the glory of his majesty, when he arises to shake the earth mightily.

ܫܠܘ ܠܟܘܢ ܡܢ ܐܢܫܐ ܕܢܫܡܬܐ ܒܢܚܝܪ̈ܘܗܝ ܡܛܠ ܕܐܝܟ ܡܢܐ ܚܫܝܒ
khshyb mn' d'yk mTl bnkhyrwhy dnshmth' 'nsh' mn lkwn shlw
Stop trusting in man, whose breath is in his nostrils; for of what account is he?
