ܘܝ ܐܪܝܠ ܐܪܝܠ ܩܪܝܬܐ ܕܫܪܐ ܕܘܝܕ ܐܘܣܦܘ ܫܢܬܐ ܥܠ ܫܢܬܐ ܥܕܥܐ̈ܕܐ ܢܬܥܒܕܘܢ
nthebdwn ede'd' shnth' el shnth' 'wspw dwyd dshr' qryth' 'ryl 'ryl wy
Woe to Ariel! Ariel, the city where David encamped! Add year to year; let the feasts come around;

ܘܐܥܝܩ ܠܐܪܝܠ ܘܬܗܘܐ ܢܘܗܡܐ ܘܐܘܠܝܬܐ ܘܬܗܘܐ ܐܝܟ ܐܪܝܠ
'ryl 'yk wthhw' w'wlyth' nwhm' wthhw' l'ryl w'eyq
then I will distress Ariel, and there will be mourning and lamentation. She shall be to me as an altar hearth.

ܘܐܫܪܐ ܐܝܟ ܐܣܦܪܐ ܥܠܝܟܝ ܘܐܠܨܟܝ ܒܡܩܒܬܐ ܘܐܩܝܡ ܥܠܝܟܝ ܡܛܪܬܐ
mTrth' elyky w'qym bmqbth' w'ltsky elyky 'spr' 'yk w'shr'
I will encamp against you all around you, and will lay siege against you with posted troops. I will raise siege works against you.

ܘܬܬܡܟܟܝܢ ܘܡܢ ܥܦܪܐ ܬܡܠܠܝܢ ܘܡܢ ܥܦܪܐ ܢܢܨܪ̈ܢ ܡ̈ܠܝܟܝ ܘܢܫܬܡܥ ܩܠܟܝ ܡܢ ܐܪܥܐ ܐܝܟ ܙܟܘܪܐ ܘܡܢ ܥܦܪܐ ܢܢܨܪ̈ܢ ܡ̈ܠܝܟܝ
mlyky nntsrn epr' wmn zkwr' 'yk 're' mn qlky wnshthme mlyky nntsrn epr' wmn thmllyn epr' wmn wththmkkyn
You will be brought down, and will speak out of the ground. Your speech will mumble out of the dust. Your voice will be as of one who has a familiar spirit, out of the ground, and your speech will whisper out of the dust.

ܘܢܗܘܐ ܐܝܟ ܚܠܐ ܕܩܝܩܐ ܣܘܓܐܐ ܕܕܝܘܫ̈ܝܟܝ ܘܐܝܟ ܥܘܪܐ ܕܥܒ̇ܪ ܣܘܓܐܐ ܕܥܫ̈ܝܢܝܟܝ ܘܢܗܘܐ ܡܢ ܫܠܝܐ ܒܥܓܠ
begl shly' mn wnhw' deshynyky swg'' debr ewr' w'yk ddywshyky swg'' dqyq' khl' 'yk wnhw'
But the multitude of your foes will be like fine dust, and the multitude of the ruthless ones like chaff that blows away. Yes, it will be in an instant, suddenly.

ܡܢ ܩܕܡ ܡܪܝܐ ܚܝܠܬܢܐ ܬܬܦܩܕ ܒܙܘ̈ܥܐ ܘܒܪ̈ܥܡܐ ܘܒܩܠܐ ܪܒܐ ܘܒܩ̈ܘܕܚܬܐ ܘܒܥܠܥܠܐ ܘܒܫܠܗܒܝܬܐ ܕܢܘܪܐ ܕܡܘܩܕܐ
dmwqd' dnwr' wbshlhbyth' wbelel' wbqwdkhth' rb' wbql' wbrem' bzwe' ththpqd khylthn' mry' qdm mn
She will be visited by Yahweh of Armies with thunder, with earthquake, with great noise, with whirlwind and storm, and with the flame of a devouring fire.

ܘܢܗܘܐ ܐܝܟ ܚܠܡܐ ܒܚܙܘܐ ܕܠܠܝܐ ܣܘܓܐܐ ܕܟܠܗܘܢ ܥܡ̈ܡܐ ܕܡܬܚܝܠܝܢ ܥܠ ܐܪܝܠ ܘܟܘܠ ܚܝ̈ܠܐ ܘܟܢ̈ܫܐ ܕܡܥܝܩܝܢ ܠܗ̇
lh dmeyqyn wknsh' khyl' wkwl 'ryl el dmthkhylyn emm' dklhwn swg'' dlly' bkhzw' khlm' 'yk wnhw'
The multitude of all the nations that fight against Ariel, even all who fight against her and her stronghold, and who distress her, will be like a dream, a vision of the night.

ܘܢܗܘܐ ܐܝܟ ܟܦܢܐ ܕܚܙܐ ܒܚܠܡܗ ܕܐܟܠ ܘܡܐ ܕܐܬܬܥܝܪ ܡܛܪܦ ܘܣܪܝܩܐ ܢܦܫܗ ܗܟܢܐ ܢܗܘܐ ܣܘܓܐܐ ܕܟܠܗܘܢ ܥܡ̈ܡܐ ܕܡܬܚܝܠܝܢ ܥܠ ܛܘܪܐ ܕܨܗܝܘܢ

It will be like when a hungry man dreams, and behold, he eats; but he awakes, and his hunger isn’t satisfied; or like when a thirsty man dreams, and behold, he drinks; but he awakes, and behold, he is faint, and he is still thirsty. The multitude of all the nations that fight against Mount Zion will be like that.

ܬܡܗܘ ܘܐܬܕܡܪܘ ܘܐܬܛܪܦܘ ܘܬܘܪܘ ܕܪܘܝܢ ܠܐ ܡܢ ܚܡܪܐ ܘܕܛܥ̇ܝܢ ܠܐ ܡܢ ܫܟܪܐ
shkr' mn l' wdTeyn khmr' mn l' drwyn wthwrw w'thTrpw w'thdmrw thmhw
Pause and wonder! Blind yourselves and be blind! They are drunken, but not with wine; they stagger, but not with strong drink.

ܡܛܠ ܕܢܣܟ ܥܠܝܗܘܢ ܡܪܝܐ ܪܘܚܐ ܛܒܝܥܬܐ ܘܥܫܢܬ ܥܠ ܥܝܢ̈ܝܗܘܢ ܘܥܠ ܢܒ̈ܝܐ ܘܥܠ ܪ̈ܝܫܝܗܘܢ ܕܚܙ̇ܝܢ ܟܣܝ̈ܬܐ
ksyth' dkhzyn ryshyhwn wel nby' wel eynyhwn el weshnth Tbyeth' rwkh' mry' elyhwn dnsk mTl
For Yahweh has poured out on you a spirit of deep sleep, and has closed your eyes, the prophets; and he has covered your heads, the seers.

ܘܢܗܘܐ ܒܗܘܢ ܚܙܘܐ ܕܟܠܗܘܢ ܐܝܟ ܡ̈ܠܐ ܕܟܬܒܐ ܕܚܬܝܡ ܕܡܐ ܕܝܗܒܘܗܝ ܠܡ̇ܢ ܕܝ̇ܕܥ ܣܦܪܐ ܢܐܡܪܘܢ ܠܗ ܩܪܝ ܗܢܐ ܘܢܐܡܪ ܠܐ ܡܫܟܚ ܐܢܐ ܡܛܠ ܕܚܬܝܡ ܗܘ

All vision has become to you like the words of a book that is sealed, which men deliver to one who is educated, saying, “Read this, please;” and he says, “I can’t, for it is sealed;”

ܘܢܬܠܘܢܗ ܠܟܬܒܐ ܠܡ̇ܢ ܕܠܐ ܝ̇ܕܥ ܣܦܪܐ ܘܢܐܡܪܘܢ ܠܗ ܩܪܝ ܗܢܐ ܘܢܐܡܪ ܠܐ ܝ̇ܕܥ ܐܢܐ ܣܦܪܐ
spr' 'n' yde l' wn'mr hn' qry lh wn'mrwn spr' yde dl' lmn lkthb' wnthlwnh
and the book is delivered to one who is not educated, saying, “Read this, please;” and he says, “I can’t read.”

ܘܐܡܪ ܡܪܝܐ ܥܠ ܕܩܪܒ ܥܡܐ ܗܢܐ ܒܦܘܡܗ ܘܒܣ̈ܦܘܬܗ ܝܩܪܢܝ ܘܠܒܗ ܪܚܝܩ ܡܢܝ ܘܗܘܬ ܕܚܠܬܗܘܢ ܡܢܝ ܒܦܘܩܕܢܐ ܘܒܝܘܠܦܢܐ ܕܐܢܫܐ
d'nsh' wbywlpn' bpwqdn' mny dkhlthhwn whwth mny rkhyq wlbh yqrny wbspwthh bpwmh hn' em' dqrb el mry' w'mr
The Lord said, “Because this people draws near with their mouth and honors me with their lips, but they have removed their heart far from me, and their fear of me is a commandment of men which has been taught;

ܡܛܠ ܗܢܐ ܗܐ ܡܘܣܦ ܐܢܐ ܠܡܦܪܫܗ ܠܥܡܐ ܗܢܐ ܒܬܕܡܘܪܬܐ ܘܒܕܘܡܪܐ ܘܬܐܒܕ ܚܟܡܬܐ ܕܚ̈ܟܝܡܘܗܝ ܘܣܘܟܠܐ ܕܣ̈ܟܘܠܬܢܘܗܝ ܢܬܓܠܙ
nthglz dskwlthnwhy wswkl' dkhkymwhy khkmth' wth'bd wbdwmr' bthdmwrth' hn' lem' lmprshh 'n' mwsp h' hn' mTl
therefore, behold, I will proceed to do a marvelous work among this people, even a marvelous work and a wonder; and the wisdom of their wise men will perish, and the understanding of their prudent men will be hidden.”

ܘܝ ܠܕܡܬܥܩܡܝܢ ܡܢ ܡܪܝܐ ܠܡܛܫܝܘ ܬܪܥܝܬܐ ܘܗ̇ܘܝܢ ܒܚܫܘܟܐ ܥ̇ܒ̈ܕܝܗܘܢ ܘܐܡ̇ܪܝܢ ܡܢܘ ܚ̇ܙܐ ܠܢ ܐܘ ܡܢܘ ܝ̇ܕܥ
yde mnw 'w ln khz' mnw w'mryn ebdyhwn bkhshwk' whwyn threyth' lmTshyw mry' mn ldmtheqmyn wy
Woe to those who deeply hide their counsel from Yahweh, and whose deeds are in the dark, and who say, “Who sees us?” and “Who knows us?”

ܡܢܐ ܡܬܗܦܟܝܢܢ ܐܝܟ ܛܝܢܐ ܕܦܚܪܐ ܚܫܝܒܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܕܠܡܐ ܐܡ̇ܪ ܥ̇ܒܕܐ ܠܥܒܘܕܗ ܠܐ ܥܒܕܬܢܝ ܘܓܒܝܠܬܐ ܐܡ̇ܪܐ ܠܓܒܘܠܗ̇ ܕܚܟܝܡܐܝܬ ܠܐ ܓܒܠܬܢܝ

You turn things upside down! Should the potter be thought to be like clay, that the thing made should say about him who made it, “He didn’t make me;” or the thing formed say of him who formed it, “He has no understanding”?

ܗܐ ܥܕ ܩܠܝܠ ܙܥܘܪ ܘܢܗܦܘܟ ܠܒܢܢ ܠܟܪܡܠܐ ܘܟܪܡܠܐ ܠܥܒܐ ܢܬܚܫܒ
nthkhshb leb' wkrml' lkrml' lbnn wnhpwk zewr qlyl ed h'
Isn’t it yet a very little while, and Lebanon will be turned into a fruitful field, and the fruitful field will be regarded as a forest?

ܘܢܫܡܥܘܢ ܒܝܘܡܐ ܗ̇ܘ ܚܪ̈ܫܐ ܡ̈ܠܐ ܕܟܬܒܐ ܘܡܢ ܚܫܘܟܐ ܘܥܡܛܢܐ ܥܝ̈ܢܐ ܕܥܘܝܪ̈ܐ ܢܚ̈ܙܝܢ
nkhzyn dewyr' eyn' wemTn' khshwk' wmn dkthb' ml' khrsh' hw bywm' wnshmewn
In that day, the deaf will hear the words of the book, and the eyes of the blind will see out of obscurity and out of darkness.

ܘܢܘܣܦܘܢ ܡܟܝ̈ܟܐ ܒܡܪܝܐ ܒܚܕܘܬܐ ܘܐܢܫܐ ܒ̇ܝܫ̈ܐ ܒܩܕܝܫܐ ܕܐܝܣܪܝܠ ܢܕܘܨܘܢ
ndwtswn d'ysryl bqdysh' bysh' w'nsh' bkhdwth' bmry' mkyk' wnwspwn
The humble also will increase their joy in Yahweh, and the poor among men will rejoice in the Holy One of Israel.

ܡܛܠ ܕܥܒܪ ܕܝܘܫܐ ܘܓܡܪ ܡܡܝܩܢܐ ܘܐܒܕܘ ܟܠ ܕܡܓܪܓܝܢ ܥܘܠܐ
ewl' dmgrgyn kl w'bdw mmyqn' wgmr dywsh' debr mTl
For the ruthless is brought to nothing, and the scoffer ceases, and all those who are alert to do evil are cut off—

ܘܡܚܛܝܢ ܠܐܢܫܐ ܒܡܠܬܐ ܘܠܕܡܟܣ ܣ̇ܝܡܝܢ ܠܗ ܬܘܩܠܬܐ ܘܨ̇ܠܝܢ ܒܚܫܘܟܐ ܠܙܕܝܩܐ
lzdyq' bkhshwk' wtslyn thwqlth' lh symyn wldmks bmlth' l'nsh' wmkhTyn
who cause a person to be indicted by a word, and lay a snare for one who reproves in the gate, and who deprive the innocent of justice with false testimony.

ܡܛܠ ܗܢܐ ܗܟܢܐ ܐܡ̇ܪ ܡܪܝܐ ܥܠ ܒܝܬܗ ܕܝܥܩܘܒ ܕܦܪܩ ܠܐܒܪܗܡ ܠܐ ܡܟܝܠ ܢܒܗܬ ܝܥܩܘܒ ܘܠܐ ܡܟܝܠ ܢܚܦܪ̈ܢ ܐ̈ܦܘܗܝ
'pwhy nkhprn mkyl wl' yeqwb nbhth mkyl l' l'brhm dprq dyeqwb bythh el mry' 'mr hkn' hn' mTl
Therefore Yahweh, who redeemed Abraham, says concerning the house of Jacob: “Jacob shall no longer be ashamed, neither shall his face grow pale.

ܡܐ ܕܚܙܘ ܒܢ̈ܘܗܝ ܥܒ̇ܕ ܐܝ̈ܕܝ ܒܓܘܗ ܢܩܕܫܘܢ ܫܡܝ ܘܢܩܕܫܘܢ ܠܩܕܝܫܐ ܕܝܥܩܘܒ ܘܠܐܠܗܐ ܕܐܝܣܪܝܠ ܢܥܫܢܘܢ
neshnwn d'ysryl wl'lh' dyeqwb lqdysh' wnqdshwn shmy nqdshwn bgwh 'ydy ebd bnwhy dkhzw m'
But when he sees his children, the work of my hands, in the middle of him, they will sanctify my name. Yes, they will sanctify the Holy One of Jacob, and will stand in awe of the God of Israel.

ܘܢܕܥܘܢ ܣܟ̈ܠܐ ܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܛܥ̇ܝܐ ܗܘܬ ܪܘܚܗܘܢ ܘܫ̈ܛܝܐ ܢܐܠܦܘܢ ܠܡܫܬܡܥܘ
lmshthmew n'lpwn wshTy' rwkhhwn hwth dTey' 'ylyn skl' wndewn
They also who err in spirit will come to understanding, and those who grumble will receive instruction.”
