ܒܗ ܒܝܘܡܐ ܗ̇ܘ ܬܙܕܡܪ ܙܡܝܪܬܐ ܗܕܐ ܒܐܪܥܐ ܕܝܗܘܕ ܩܪܝܬܐ ܕܥܫܢ ܦܘܪܩܢܗ̇ ܣܡܘ ܫܘܪܐ ܘܒܪ ܫܘܪܐ
shwr' wbr shwr' smw pwrqnh deshn qryth' dyhwd b're' hd' zmyrth' thzdmr hw bywm' bh
In that day, this song will be sung in the land of Judah: “We have a strong city. God appoints salvation for walls and bulwarks.

ܦܬܚܘ ܬܪ̈ܥܐ ܢܥܘܠ ܥܡܐ ܙܕܝܩܐ ܕܢ̇ܛܪ ܗܝܡܢܘܬܐ
hymnwth' dnTr zdyq' em' newl thre' pthkhw
Open the gates, that the righteous nation may enter: the one which keeps faith.

ܕܢ̇ܛܪ ܒܫܪܪܐ ܬܛܪ ܠܢ ܫܠܡܐ ܡܛܠ ܕܒܟ ܣܒܪܢ
sbrn dbk mTl shlm' ln thTr bshrr' dnTr
You will keep whoever’s mind is steadfast in perfect peace, because he trusts in you.

ܡܪܝܐ ܠܥܠܡ ܥܠܡܝܢ ܡܛܘܠ ܕܡܪܝܐ ܐܠܗܐ ܬܩܝܦܐ ܠܥܠܡܝܢ
lelmyn thqyp' 'lh' dmry' mTwl elmyn lelm mry'
Trust in Yahweh forever; for in Yah, Yahweh, is an everlasting Rock.

ܡܛܠ ܕܢܡܟ ܠܕܥܡ̇ܪܝܢ ܒܪܘܡܐ ܘܩܪܝܬܐ ܥܫܝܢܬܐ ܢܡܟܟܝܗ̇ ܥܕܡܐ ܠܐܪܥܐ ܘܢܡܛܝܗ̇ ܥܕܡܐ ܠܥܦܪܐ
lepr' edm' wnmTyh l're' edm' nmkkyh eshynth' wqryth' brwm' ldemryn dnmk mTl
For he has brought down those who dwell on high, the lofty city. He lays it low. He lays it low even to the ground. He brings it even to the dust.

ܬܕܘܫܝܗ̇ ܪܓܠܐ ܕܒܝ̇ܫ̈ܐ ܘܗܠܟܬܐ ܕܡܣ̈ܟܢܐ
dmskn' whlkth' dbysh' rgl' thdwshyh
The foot shall tread it down, even the feet of the poor and the steps of the needy.”

ܫܒܝܠܐ ܬܪܝܨ ܠܡܣ̈ܟܢܐ ܘܬܪܝܨܐ ܘܫܦܝܐ ܐܘܪܚܐ ܕܙܕܝ̈ܩܐ
dzdyq' 'wrkh' wshpy' wthryts' lmskn' thryts shbyl'
The way of the just is uprightness. You who are upright make the path of the righteous level.

ܘܐܦ ܠܐܘܪܚܐ ܕܕܝܢ̈ܝܟ ܡܪܝܐ ܣܟܝܢ ܠܫܡܟ ܘܠܕܘܟܪܢܟ ܪܓܬ ܢܦܫܢ
npshn rgth wldwkrnk lshmk skyn mry' ddynyk l'wrkh' w'p
Yes, in the way of your judgments, Yahweh, we have waited for you. Your name and your renown are the desire of our soul.

ܢܦܫܝ ܐܬܐܘܐܒܬ ܠܟ ܒܠܠܝܐ ܘܐܦ ܪܘܚܝ ܒܓܘܝ ܡܩܕܡܐ ܠܘܬܟ ܡܛܠ ܕܐܝܟ ܕܝܢ̈ܝܟ ܥܠ ܐܪܥܐ ܙܕܝܩܘܬܐ ܝܠܦܘ ܥܡܘܪ̈ܝܗ̇ ܕܬܒܝܠ
dthbyl emwryh ylpw zdyqwth' 're' el dynyk d'yk mTl lwthk mqdm' bgwy rwkhy w'p blly' lk 'th'w'bth npshy
With my soul I have desired you in the night. Yes, with my spirit within me I will seek you earnestly; for when your judgments are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world learn righteousness.

ܐܬܪܚܩ ܥܘ̇ܠܐ ܕܠܐ ܢܐܠܦ ܙܕܝܩܘܬܐ ܡܟܣܢܘܬܐ ܒܐܪܥܐ ܡܟܘܢܐ ܘܠܐ ܢܚܙܘܢ ܒܓܐܝܘܬܗ ܕܡܪܝܐ
dmry' bg'ywthh nkhzwn wl' mkwn' b're' mksnwth' zdyqwth' n'lp dl' ewl' 'thrkhq
Let favor be shown to the wicked, yet he will not learn righteousness. In the land of uprightness he will deal wrongfully, and will not see Yahweh’s majesty.

ܡܪܝܐ ܒܪܡܘܬܐ ܕܐ̈ܝܕܝܟ ܠܐ ܢܚܙܘܢ ܢܚܙܘܢ ܘܢܒܗܬܘܢ ܛܢܢܗ ܕܥܡܐ ܘܐܝܟ ܬܢܘܪܐ ܬܐܟܘܠ ܐܢܘܢ ܠܒ̈ܥܠܕܒܒܝܟ
lbeldbbyk 'nwn th'kwl thnwr' w'yk dem' Tnnh wnbhthwn nkhzwn nkhzwn l' d'ydyk brmwth' mry'
Yahweh, your hand is lifted up, yet they don’t see; but they will see your zeal for the people and be disappointed. Yes, fire will consume your adversaries.

ܡܪܝܐ ܬܛܪ ܠܢ ܫܠܡܐ ܡܛܠ ܕܐܝܟ ܟܠܗܘܢ ܥ̇ܒ̈ܕܝܢ ܥܬܕܬ ܠܢ
ln ethdth ebdyn klhwn d'yk mTl shlm' ln thTr mry'
Yahweh, you will ordain peace for us, for you have also done all our work for us.

ܡܪܝܐ ܐܠܗܢ ܗܘܘ ܥܠܝܢ ܡܪ̈ܝܐ ܠܒܪ ܡܢܟ ܒܠܚܘܕ ܫܡܟ ܕܝܠܟ ܢܬܕܟܪ
nthdkr dylk shmk blkhwd mnk lbr mry' elyn hww 'lhn mry'
Yahweh our God, other lords besides you have had dominion over us, but we will only acknowledge your name.

ܡܝ̈ܬܐ ܠܐ ܡܚ̇ܝܢ ܘܓܢܒܪ̈ܐ ܠܐ ܡܩܝܡܝܢ ܡܛܠ ܗܢܐ ܦܩܕܬ ܘܕܢܒܬ ܐܢܘܢ ܘܐܘܒܕܬ ܟܠܗ ܕܘܟܪܢܗܘܢ
dwkrnhwn klh w'wbdth 'nwn wdnbth pqdth hn' mTl mqymyn l' wgnbr' mkhyn l' myth'
The dead shall not live. The departed spirits shall not rise. Therefore you have visited and destroyed them, and caused all memory of them to perish.

ܐܘܣܦܬ ܡܪܝܐ ܥܠ ܥܡܐ ܐܘܣܦܬ ܥܠ ܥܡܐ ܐܬܪܚܩܬ ܘܕܚܩܬ ܠܟܠܗܘܢ ܣܘ̈ܦܝܗ̇ ܕܐܪܥܐ
d're' swpyh lklhwn wdkhqth 'thrkhqth em' el 'wspth em' el mry' 'wspth
You have increased the nation, O Yahweh. You have increased the nation! You are glorified! You have enlarged all the borders of the land.

ܡܪܝܐ ܒܐܘܠܨܢܐ ܦܩܕܘܟ ܘܒܚܒܘܫܝܐ ܠܚܫܘ ܡܪܕܘܬܟ

Yahweh, in trouble they have visited you. They poured out a prayer when your chastening was on them.

ܐܝܟ ܒܛܢܬܐ ܕܩܪܝܒܐ ܠܡܐܠܕ ܘܡܚܒܠܐ ܘܡܝܠܠܐ ܒܚ̈ܒܠܝܗ̇ ܗܟܢܐ ܗܘܢ ܡܢ ܩܕܡܝܟ ܡܪܝܐ
mry' qdmyk mn hwn hkn' bkhblyh wmyll' wmkhbl' lm'ld dqryb' bTnth' 'yk
Just as a woman with child, who draws near the time of her delivery, is in pain and cries out in her pangs, so we have been before you, Yahweh.

ܒܛܢܢ ܘܚܒܠܢ ܐܝܟ ܗ̈ܢܝܢ ܕܝ̈ܠܕܢ ܪ̈ܘܚܐ ܦܪܘܩܝܢ ܕܠܐ ܢܐܒܕ ܒܐܪܥܐ ܘܠܐ ܢܦܠܘܢ ܥܡܘܪ̈ܝܗ̇ ܕܬܒܝܠ
dthbyl emwryh nplwn wl' b're' n'bd dl' prwqyn rwkh' dyldn hnyn 'yk wkhbln bTnn
We have been with child. We have been in pain. We gave birth, it seems, only to wind. We have not worked any deliverance in the earth; neither have the inhabitants of the world fallen.

ܢܚܘܢ ܡܝ̈ܬܝܟ ܘܫ̈ܠܕܝܗܘܢ ܢܩ̈ܘܡܢ ܘܢܬܬܥܝܪܘܢ ܘܢܫܒܚܘܢ ܫ̈ܟ̇ܒܝ ܥܦܪܐ ܡܛܠ ܕܛܠܟ ܛܠܐ ܗܘ ܕܢܘܗܪܐ ܘܐܪܥܐ ܕܓܢܒܪ̈ܐ ܬܣܬܚܦ
thsthkhp dgnbr' w're' dnwhr' hw Tl' dTlk mTl epr' shkby wnshbkhwn wnththeyrwn nqwmn wshldyhwn mythyk nkhwn
Your dead shall live. Their dead bodies shall arise. Awake and sing, you who dwell in the dust; for your dew is like the dew of herbs, and the earth will cast out the departed spirits.

ܙܠ ܥܡܝ̈ ܥܘܠ ܠܬܘ̈ܢܝܟ ܘܐܚܘܕ ܬܪ̈ܥܝܟ ܒܐ̈ܦܝܟ ܘܐܬܛܫܐ ܩܠܝܠ ܙܥܘܪ ܥܕ ܥܒ̇ܪ ܪܘܓܙܝ

Come, my people, enter into your rooms, and shut your doors behind you. Hide yourself for a little moment, until the indignation is past.

ܡܛܠ ܕܗܐ ܡܪܝܐ ܢܦ̇ܩ ܡܢ ܐܬܪܗ ܘܦܩ̇ܕ ܥܘܠܗ ܕܥܡܘܪܐ ܕܐܪܥܐ ܥܠܘܗܝ ܘܬܓܠܐ ܐܪܥܐ ܕܡܗ̇ ܘܠܐ ܬܟܣܐ ܬܘܒ ܥܠ ܩܛܝ̈ܠܝܗ̇
qTylyh el thwb thks' wl' dmh 're' wthgl' elwhy d're' demwr' ewlh wpqd 'thrh mn npq mry' dh' mTl
For, behold, Yahweh comes out of his place to punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity. The earth also will disclose her blood, and will no longer cover her slain.
