1
הא יי מביז ארעא ומסר לה לסנאה ותחפי בהתא אפי רברבהא על דעברו על אוריתא ויבדר ית דיתבין בה:
bh dythbyn yth wybdr awrytha el debrw el rbrbha apy bhtha wthkhpy lsnah lh wmsr area mbyz yy ha
Behold, Yahweh makes the earth empty, makes it waste, turns it upside down, and scatters its inhabitants.

ויהי חילונאה ככהנא עבדא כריבונה אמתא כמרתה זבנא כמזבנא יזפא כמוזפא רשא כמן דרשי ביה:
byh drshy kmn rsha kmwzpa yzpa kmzbna zbna kmrthh amtha krybwnh ebda kkhna khylwnah wyhy
It will be as with the people, so with the priest; as with the servant, so with his master; as with the maid, so with her mistress; as with the buyer, so with the seller; as with the creditor, so with the debtor; as with the taker of interest, so with the giver of interest.

אתבזזא תתבזז ארעא ואתדשא תתדש ארי יי מלל ית פתגמא הדין:
hdyn pthgma yth mll yy ary ththdsh wathdsha area ththbzz athbzza
The earth will be utterly emptied and utterly laid waste; for Yahweh has spoken this word.

אתאבדת חרובת ארעא צדיאת חרובת תבל ספו תקוף עמא דארעא:
darea ema thqwp spw thbl khrwbth tsdyath area khrwbth athabdth
The earth mourns and fades away. The world languishes and fades away. The lofty people of the earth languish.

וארעא חבת תחות יתבהא ארי עברו על אוריתא אבטילו מועדיא אשניאו קימא די מן עלמא:
elma mn dy qyma ashnyaw mwedya abTylw awrytha el ebrw ary ythbha thkhwth khbth warea
The earth also is polluted under its inhabitants, because they have transgressed the laws, violated the statutes, and broken the everlasting covenant.

על כן מן קדם מומי דשקר חרובת ארעא וצדיאו דיתבין בה על כן ספו יתבי ארעא ואשתאר אנשא כזעיר:
kzeyr ansha washthar area ythby spw kn el bh dythbyn wtsdyaw area khrwbth dshqr mwmy qdm mn kn el
Therefore the curse has devoured the earth, and those who dwell therein are found guilty. Therefore the inhabitants of the earth are burned, and few men are left.

אתאבלו כל שתי חמר ארי אתפריכו גופניא אתאנחו כל חדי לבא:
lba khdy kl athankhw gwpnya athprykw ary khmr shthy kl athablw
The new wine mourns. The vine languishes. All the merry-hearted sigh.

בטלת חדות תופין אתמנעת אתרגושת תקיפין פסקת חדות כנרא:
knra khdwth psqth thqypyn athrgwshth athmneth thwpyn khdwth bTlth
The mirth of tambourines ceases. The sound of those who rejoice ends. The joy of the harp ceases.

על ידי זמר לא ישתון חמר יימר עתיקא לשתוהי:
lshthwhy ethyqa yymr khmr yshthwn la zmr ydy el
They will not drink wine with a song. Strong drink will be bitter to those who drink it.

אתברת קרתהון צדיאת אחידו כל בתיא מלמעל:
mlmel bthya kl akhydw tsdyath qrthhwn athbrth
The confused city is broken down. Every house is shut up, that no man may come in.

מצוחין על חמרא בשוקיא שלימת כל חדותא גלא ביע מן ארעא:
area mn bye gla khdwtha kl shlymth bshwqya khmra el mtswkhyn
There is a crying in the streets because of the wine. All joy is darkened. The mirth of the land is gone.

אשתאר בקרתא צדו ואתרגושתא בפגור תרעין:
threyn bpgwr wathrgwshtha tsdw bqrtha ashthar
The city is left in desolation, and the gate is struck with destruction.
13
ארי כדין ישתארון יחידאין צדיקיא בגו ארעא ביני מלכותא כביעור זיתא כעוללן בתר קטף:
qTp bthr kewlln zytha kbyewr mlkwtha byny area bgw tsdyqya ykhydayn yshtharwn kdyn ary
For it will be so within the earth among the peoples, as the shaking of an olive tree, as the gleanings when the vintage is done.

אנון ירמון קליהון ישבחון במימרא דיי יבעון כמא דבעו על גבורן דאתעבידא להון על ימא:
yma el lhwn dathebyda gbwrn el dbew kma ybewn dyy bmymra yshbkhwn qlyhwn yrmwn anwn
These shall lift up their voice. They will shout for the majesty of Yahweh. They cry aloud from the sea.

על כן במיתי נהורא לצדיקיא יקרון קדם יי בניסי ימא יהון מודן ומברכין שמא דיי אלהא דישראל:
dyshral alha dyy shma wmbrkyn mwdn yhwn yma bnysy yy qdm yqrwn ltsdyqya nhwra bmythy kn el
Therefore glorify Yahweh in the east, even the name of Yahweh, the God of Israel, in the islands of the sea!

מבית מקדשא דמתמן עתיד למפק חדוא לכל יתבי ארעא תושבחא שמענא לצדיקיא אמר נביא רב אגר לצדיקיא לרשיעיא אתגלי לי וי לאנוסיא דמתאנסין ולבזוז בזזין דהא מתבזין:
mthbzyn dha bzzyn wlbzwz dmthansyn lanwsya wy ly athgly lrshyeya ltsdyqya agr rb nbya amr ltsdyqya shmena thwshbkha area ythby lkl khdwa lmpq ethyd dmthmn mqdsha mbyth
From the uttermost part of the earth have we heard songs. Glory to the righteous! But I said, “I pine away! I pine away! woe is me!” The treacherous have dealt treacherously. Yes, the treacherous have dealt very treacherously.

דחלא וכומצא ומצדא עלך יתיב ארעא:
area ythyb elk wmtsda wkwmtsa dkhla
Fear, the pit, and the snare are on you who inhabit the earth.
18
ויהי דיערוק מן קדם דחלא יפול לגו כומצא ודיסק מגו כומצא יתאחד בסריגתא ארי גבורן בשמיא אתעבידא וזעו יסודי ארעא:
area yswdy wzew athebyda bshmya gbwrn ary bsrygtha ythakhd kwmtsa mgw wdysq kwmtsa lgw ypwl dkhla qdm mn dyerwq wyhy
It will happen that he who flees from the noise of the fear will fall into the pit; and he who comes up out of the middle of the pit will be taken in the snare; for the windows on high are opened, and the foundations of the earth tremble.

מזע תזוע ארעא מנד תנוד ארעא פרוק תתפרק ארעא:
area ththprq prwq area thnwd mnd area thzwe mze
The earth is utterly broken. The earth is torn apart. The earth is shaken violently.
20
אשתדאה תשתדי ארעא כרויא ותהי אזלא ואתיא כערסלא ויתקפון עלה חובהא ותפול ולא תוסיף למקם:
lmqm thwsyp wla wthpwl khwbha elh wythqpwn kersla wathya azla wthhy krwya area thshthdy ashthdah
The earth will stagger like a drunken man, and will sway back and forth like a hammock. Its disobedience will be heavy on it, and it will fall and not rise again.

ויהי בעדנא ההיא יסער יי על חלותא תוקפא דיתבין בתוקפא ועל מלכי בני אנשא דדירין על ארעא:
area el ddyryn ansha bny mlky wel bthwqpa dythbyn thwqpa khlwtha el yy yser hhya bedna wyhy
It will happen in that day that Yahweh will punish the army of the high ones on high, and the kings of the earth on the earth.

ויכנשונון מכנש לבית אסירי ויענגונון לבית עגנה ומסגי יומין יעול דכרניהון:
dkrnyhwn yewl ywmyn wmsgy egnh lbyth wyengwnwn asyry lbyth mknsh wyknshwnwn
They will be gathered together, as prisoners are gathered in the pit, and will be shut up in the prison; and after many days they will be visited.

ויבהתון דפלחין לסיהרא ויתכנעון דסגדין לשמשא ארי תתגלי גבורתא דיי צבאות בטורא דציון ובירושלם וקדם סבי עמה ביקר:
byqr emh sby wqdm wbyrwshlm dtsywn bTwra tsbawth dyy gbwrtha ththgly ary lshmsha dsgdyn wythknewn lsyhra dplkhyn wybhthwn
Then the moon will be confounded, and the sun ashamed; for Yahweh of Armies will reign on Mount Zion and in Jerusalem; and glory will be before his elders.
