מטל משרין דאתין ממדברא כמי ימא דנגדין כעלעולין דאתן באורח דרומא מדברא ואתין ממדברא מארעא דאתעבידא בה חסינין:
khsynyn bh dathebyda marea mmdbra wathyn mdbra drwma bawrkh dathn kelewlyn dngdyn yma kmy mmdbra dathyn mshryn mTl
The burden of the wilderness of the sea. As whirlwinds in the South sweep through, it comes from the wilderness, from an awesome land.

אמר נביא נבואה קשיא אתחואה לי אניסיא מתאנסין ובזזיא מתבזזין סקו עילמאי תקיפו מדאי כל דהוו מתאנחין מן קדם מלכא דבבל אנחית להון:
lhwn ankhyth dbbl mlka qdm mn mthankhyn dhww kl mday thqypw eylmay sqw mthbzzyn wbzzya mthansyn anysya ly athkhwah qshya nbwah nbya amr
A grievous vision is declared to me. The treacherous man deals treacherously, and the destroyer destroys. Go up, Elam; attack! I have stopped all of Media’s sighing.

על כן אתמליאו חרציהון זיעיא דחלא אחדתינון הא כחבלין לילידתא אטפשו מלמשמע טעו מלמחזי:
mlmkhzy Tew mlmshme aTpshw lylydtha kkhblyn ha akhdthynwn dkhla zyeya khrtsyhwn athmlyaw kn el
Therefore my thighs are filled with anguish. Pains have seized me, like the pains of a woman in labor. I am in so much pain that I can’t hear. I am so dismayed that I can’t see.

טעה לבהון עקא וביעותין אחדונון אתר בית רוחצניהון הוה להון לתבר:
lthbr lhwn hwh rwkhtsnyhwn byth athr akhdwnwn wbyewthyn eqa lbhwn Teh
My heart flutters. Horror has frightened me. The twilight that I desired has been turned into trembling for me.

סדרו פתורין אקימו סכואין אכולו שתו קומו רברביא מריקו וצחצחו זינא:
zyna wtskhtskhw mryqw rbrbya qwmw shthw akwlw skwayn aqymw pthwryn sdrw
They prepare the table. They set the watch. They eat. They drink. Rise up, you princes, oil the shield!

ארי כדנן אמר לי יי אזיל אקים סכואה דיחזי חוי:
khwy dykhzy skwah aqym azyl yy ly amr kdnn ary
For the Lord said to me, “Go, set a watchman. Let him declare what he sees.

ויחזי רתך אנש ועמה זוג פרשים רכב על חמר רכב על גמלא אמר נביא אציצית אצתא וחזית והא משרין לחדא:
lkhda mshryn wha wkhzyth atstha atsytsyth nbya amr gmla el rkb khmr el rkb prshym zwg wemh ansh rthk wykhzy
When he sees a troop, horsemen in pairs, a troop of donkeys, a troop of camels, he shall listen diligently with great attentiveness.”

אמר נביא קל משרין דאתין בסיטוניהון כאריא ועל סכותא קדם יי אנא קאים תדירא ביממא ועל מטרתי אנא מעתד כל ליליא:
lylya kl methd ana mTrthy wel bymma thdyra qaym ana yy qdm skwtha wel karya bsyTwnyhwn dathyn mshryn ql nbya amr
He cried like a lion: “Lord, I stand continually on the watchtower in the daytime, and every night I stay at my post.

והא דין אתא רתך אנש ועמיה זוג פרשין ואתיב ואמר נפלת ואף עתידא למפל בבל וכל צלמי טעותהא ידקדקון לארעא:
larea ydqdqwn Tewthha tslmy wkl bbl lmpl ethyda wap nplth wamr wathyb prshyn zwg wemyh ansh rthk atha dyn wha
Behold, here comes a troop of men, horsemen in pairs.” He answered, “Fallen, fallen is Babylon; and all the engraved images of her gods are broken to the ground.

מלכין דאומנין לאגחא קרבא ייתון עלה למבזהא כאכרא דאומן למידש ית אדרא אמר נביא דשמעית ית קל מימרא דיי צבאות אלהא דישראל חויתי לכון:
lkwn khwythy dyshral alha tsbawth dyy mymra ql yth dshmeyth nbya amr adra yth lmydsh dawmn kakra lmbzha elh yythwn qrba lagkha dawmnyn mlkyn
You are my threshing, and the grain of my floor!” That which I have heard from Yahweh of Armies, the God of Israel, I have declared to you.

מטל כס דלוט לאשקאה ית דומה עלי אכלי מן שמיא נביא פריש להון ית נבואתא נביא פריש להון מה דעתיד למיתי:
lmythy dethyd mh lhwn prysh nbya nbwatha yth lhwn prysh nbya shmya mn akly ely dwmh yth lashqah dlwT ks mTl
The burden of Dumah. One calls to me out of Seir, “Watchman, what of the night? Watchman, what of the night?”

אמר נביא אית אגר לצדיקיא ואית פורענות לרשיעיא אם תיבין אתון תובו עד דאתון יכלין למגתב:
lmgthb yklyn dathwn ed thwbw athwn thybyn am lrshyeya pwrenwth wayth ltsdyqya agr ayth nbya amr
The watchman said, “The morning comes, and also the night. If you will inquire, inquire. Come back again.”

מטל כס דלוט לאשקאה ית ערבאי בחורשא ברמשא יביתין שירת בני דדן:
ddn bny shyrth ybythyn brmsha bkhwrsha erbay yth lashqah dlwT ks mTl
The burden on Arabia. You will lodge in the thickets in Arabia, you caravans of Dedanites.

לאפי צחיא פוקו נגדין דמיא דיתבי בארעא דרומא לחמא דאתון אכלין זמינו למערקיא:
lmerqya zmynw aklyn dathwn lkhma drwma barea dythby dmya ngdyn pwqw tskhya lapy
They brought water to him who was thirsty. The inhabitants of the land of Tema met the fugitives with their bread.

ארי מן קדם קטול ערקו מן קדם חרבא שליפא ומן קדם קשת מתיחא ומן קדם תקוף קרבא:
qrba thqwp qdm wmn mthykha qshth qdm wmn shlypa khrba qdm mn erqw qTwl qdm mn ary
For they fled away from the swords, from the drawn sword, from the bent bow, and from the heat of battle.

ארי כדנן אמר יי לי בסוף שניא כשני אגירא ויסוף כל יקרהון דערבאי:
derbay yqrhwn kl wyswp agyra kshny shnya bswp ly yy amr kdnn ary
For the Lord said to me, “Within a year, as a worker bound by contract would count it, all the glory of Kedar will fail,
