ܡܫܩܠܐ ܕܡܨܪܝܢ ܗܐ ܡܪܝܐ ܪܟܝܒ ܥܠ ܥܢ̈ܢܐ ܩ̈ܠܝܠܬܐ ܘܥܐ̇ܠ ܠܡܨܪܝܢ ܘܢܙܘܥܘܢ ܦܬܟܪ̈ܐ ܕܡܨܪܝܢ ܡܢ ܩܕܡܘܗܝ ܘܠܒܗ ܕܡܨܪܝܐ ܢܬܡܣܐ ܒܓܘܗ

The burden of Egypt. “Behold, Yahweh rides on a swift cloud, and comes to Egypt. The idols of Egypt will tremble at his presence; and the heart of Egypt will melt within it.

ܘܐܓܪܐ ܡܨܪܝܐ ܒܡܨܪܝܐ ܘܢܬܟܬܫ ܓܒܪܐ ܥܡ ܐܚܘܗܝ ܘܓܒܪܐ ܥܡ ܚܒܪܗ ܡܕܝܢܬܐ ܥܡ ܡܕܝܢܬܐ ܘܡܠܟܘܬܐ ܥܡ ܡܠܟܘܬܐ
mlkwth' em wmlkwth' mdynth' em mdynth' khbrh em wgbr' 'khwhy em gbr' wnthkthsh bmtsry' mtsry' w'gr'
I will stir up the Egyptians against the Egyptians, and they will fight everyone against his brother, and everyone against his neighbor; city against city, and kingdom against kingdom.

ܘܬܬܦܣܩ ܪܘܚܗ ܕܡܨܪܝܐ ܒܓܘܗ ܘܬܪܥܝܬܗ ܐܛܒܥ ܘܢܫܐܠܘܢ ܡܢ ܦܬܟܪ̈ܐ ܘܡܢ ܡܓܘܫ̈ܐ ܘܡܢ ܙܟܘܪ̈ܐ ܘܡܢ ܝܕܘ̈ܥܐ
ydwe' wmn zkwr' wmn mgwsh' wmn pthkr' mn wnsh'lwn 'Tbe wthreythh bgwh dmtsry' rwkhh wththpsq
The spirit of the Egyptians will fail within them. I will destroy their counsel. They will seek the idols, the charmers, those who have familiar spirits, and the wizards.

ܘܐܫܠܡ ܠܡܨܪ̈ܝܐ ܒܐܝܕܐ ܕܡܪ̈ܝܐ ܩܫ̈ܝܐ ܘܡܠܟܐ ܥܫܝܢܐ ܢܫܬܠܛ ܒܗܘܢ ܐܡ̇ܪ ܡܪܝܐ ܚܝܠܬܢܐ
khylthn' mry' 'mr bhwn nshthlT eshyn' wmlk' qshy' dmry' b'yd' lmtsry' w'shlm
I will give over the Egyptians into the hand of a cruel lord. A fierce king will rule over them,” says the Lord, Yahweh of Armies.

ܘܢܓܘܙܘܢ ܡ̈ܝܐ ܡܢ ܝܡܐ ܘܢܗܪܐ ܢܚܪܒ ܘܢܐܒܫ
wn'bsh nkhrb wnhr' ym' mn my' wngwzwn
The waters will fail from the sea, and the river will be wasted and become dry.

ܘܢܓܘܙܘܢ ܢܗܪ̈ܘܬܐ ܘܢܬܡܣܟܢܘܢ ܘܢܚܪܒܘܢ ܢܗܪ̈ܘܬܐ ܥܫ̈ܝܢܐ ܩܢܝܐ ܘܐܪܒܢܐ ܘܦܦܝܪܘܢ ܢܐܒܫܘܢ
n'bshwn wppyrwn w'rbn' qny' eshyn' nhrwth' wnkhrbwn wnthmsknwn nhrwth' wngwzwn
The rivers will become foul. The streams of Egypt will be diminished and dried up. The reeds and flags will wither away.

ܘܠܘܥܐ ܕܥܠ ܢܗܪܐ ܘܥܠ ܦܘܡܗ ܕܢܗܪܐ ܘܟܠ ܕܡܙܕܪܥ ܥܠ ܓܒܗ ܕܢܗܪܐ ܢܐܒܫ ܘܢܫܬܩܦ ܘܠܐ ܢܫܬܟܚ
nshthkkh wl' wnshthqp n'bsh dnhr' gbh el dmzdre wkl dnhr' pwmh wel nhr' del wlwe'
The meadows by the Nile, by the brink of the Nile, and all the sown fields of the Nile, will become dry, be driven away, and be no more.

ܘܢܐܠܘܢ ܨܝ̈ܕܐ ܘܢܬܒܘܢ ܒܐܒܠܐ ܕܪܡ̇ܝܢ ܨܢܪ̈ܝܬܐ ܒܢܗܪܐ ܘܕܦ̇ܪܣܝܢ ܡܨܝ̈ܕܬܐ ܥܠ ܐ̈ܦܝ ܡ̈ܝܐ ܐܬܟܪܗܘ
'thkrhw my' 'py el mtsydth' wdprsyn bnhr' tsnryth' drmyn b'bl' wnthbwn tsyd' wn'lwn
The fishermen will lament, and all those who fish in the Nile will mourn, and those who spread nets on the waters will languish.

ܘܢܒܗܬܘܢ ܥ̇ܒ̈ܕܝ ܟܬܢܐ ܕܣ̇ܪܩܝܢ ܘܙܩ̇ܪܝܢ ܠܚܕܘܬܐ
lkhdwth' wzqryn dsrqyn kthn' ebdy wnbhthwn
Moreover those who work in combed flax, and those who weave white cloth, will be confounded.

ܘܢܬܡܟܟܘܢ ܟܠ ܕܥܒ̇ܕܝܢ ܫܟܪܐ ܠܡܫܬܝܐ ܕܢܦܫܐ
dnpsh' lmshthy' shkr' debdyn kl wnthmkkwn
The pillars will be broken in pieces. All those who work for hire will be grieved in soul.

ܫܛܘ ܪ̈ܘܪܒܢܐ ܕܨܥܢ ܚ̈ܟܝܡܐ ܕܡ̇ܠܟܝܢ ܠܦܪܥܘܢ ܡܠ̇ܟܐ ܡ̈ܠ̣ܟܐ ܫ̈ܛܝܐ ܐܝܟܢܐ ܬܐܡܪܘܢ ܠܦܪܥܘܢ ܕܚ̈ܟܝܡܐ ܚܢܢ ܘܒܢ̈ܝ ܡ̈ܠ̇ܟܐ ܩܕ̈ܡܝܐ
qdmy' mlk' wbny khnn dkhkym' lprewn th'mrwn 'ykn' shTy' mlk' mlk' lprewn dmlkyn khkym' dtsen rwrbn' shTw
The princes of Zoan are utterly foolish. The counsel of the wisest counselors of Pharaoh has become stupid. How do you say to Pharaoh, “I am the son of the wise, the son of ancient kings”?

ܐܝܟܐ ܐܢܘܢ ܚ̈ܟܝܡܝܟ ܢܚܘܘܢܟ ܘܢܕܥܘܢ ܡܢܐ ܐܬܪܥܝ ܡܪܝܐ ܚܝܠܬܢܐ ܥܠ ܡܨܪܝܢ
mtsryn el khylthn' mry' 'threy mn' wndewn nkhwwnk khkymyk 'nwn 'yk'
Where then are your wise men? Let them tell you now; and let them know what Yahweh of Armies has purposed concerning Egypt.

ܫܛܘ ܪ̈ܘܪܒܢܐ ܕܨܥܢ ܐܬܬܪܝܡܘ ܪ̈ܘܪܒܢܐ ܕܡܦܣ ܘܐܛܥܝܘ ܠܡܨܪܝܢ ܒ̈ܙܘܝܬܐ ܕܫܪ̈ܒܬܗ̇
dshrbthh bzwyth' lmtsryn w'Teyw dmps rwrbn' 'ththrymw dtsen rwrbn' shTw
The princes of Zoan have become fools. The princes of Memphis are deceived. They have caused Egypt to go astray, those who are the cornerstone of her tribes.

ܡܪܝܐ ܡܙܓ ܒܓܘܗ̇ ܪܘܚܐ ܛܥܝܬܐ ܘܐܛܥܝܗ ܠܡܨܪܝܐ ܒܟܠܗܘܢ ܥ̇ܒ̈ܕܘܗܝ ܐܝܟ ܕܛ̇ܥܐ ܪܘܝܐ ܒܬܝܒܬܗ
bthybthh rwy' dTe' 'yk ebdwhy bklhwn lmtsry' w'Teyh Teyth' rwkh' bgwh mzg mry'
Yahweh has mixed a spirit of perverseness in the middle of her; and they have caused Egypt to go astray in all of its works, like a drunken man staggers in his vomit.

ܘܠܐ ܢܗܘܐ ܠܡܨܪܝܐ ܓܒܪܐ ܕܢܥܒܕ ܪܝܫܐ ܘܕܢܘܒܬܐ ܘܕܢܘܒܬܐ ܘܪܝܫܐ
wrysh' wdnwbth' wdnwbth' rysh' dnebd gbr' lmtsry' nhw' wl'
Neither shall there be any work for Egypt, which head or tail, palm branch or rush, may do.

ܒܝܘܡܐ ܗ̇ܘ ܢܗܘܐ ܡܨܪܝܐ ܐܝܟ ܢܫ̈ܐ ܘܢܕܚܠ ܘܢܙܘܥ ܡܢ ܩܕܡ ܪܘܡܐ ܕܐܝܕܗ ܕܡܪܝܐ ܚܝܠܬܢܐ ܕܡܪܝܡ ܥܠܘܗܝ
elwhy dmrym khylthn' dmry' d'ydh rwm' qdm mn wnzwe wndkhl nsh' 'yk mtsry' nhw' hw bywm'
In that day the Egyptians will be like women. They will tremble and fear because of the shaking of Yahweh of Armies’s hand, which he shakes over them.

ܘܬܗܘܐ ܐܪܥܐ ܕܝܗܘܕܐ ܠܡܨܪܝܐ ܠܣܘܪܕܐ ܘܟܠ ܕܢܕܟܪܝܗ̇ ܠܗ ܢܬܪܗܒ ܡܢ ܩܕܡ ܬܪܥܝܬܗ ܕܡܪܝܐ ܚܝܠܬܢܐ ܕܐܬܪܥܝ ܥܠܘܗܝ
elwhy d'threy khylthn' dmry' threythh qdm mn nthrhb lh dndkryh wkl lswrd' lmtsry' dyhwd' 're' wthhw'
The land of Judah will become a terror to Egypt. Everyone to whom mention is made of it will be afraid, because of the plans of Yahweh of Armies, which he determines against it.

ܒܝܘܡܐ ܗ̇ܘ ܢܗ̈ܘܝܢ ܚܡܫ ܩܘܪ̈ܝܐ ܒܐܪܥܐ ܕܡܨܪܝܢ ܕܡܡ̈ܠܠܢ ܒܠܫܢܐ ܟܢܥܢܝܐ ܘܝ̇ܡ̈ܝܢ ܒܡܪܝܐ ܚܝܠܬܢܐ ܘܚܕܐ ܡܢܗܝܢ ܗܪܣ ܬܬܩܪܐ
ththqr' hrs mnhyn wkhd' khylthn' bmry' wymyn kneny' blshn' dmmlln dmtsryn b're' qwry' khmsh nhwyn hw bywm'
In that day, there will be five cities in the land of Egypt that speak the language of Canaan, and swear to Yahweh of Armies. One will be called “The city of destruction.”

ܒܝܘܡܐ ܗ̇ܘ ܢܗܘܐ ܡܕܒܚܐ ܠܡܪܝܐ ܒܓܘܗ̇ ܕܐܪܥܐ ܕܡܨܪܝܢ ܘܩܝܡܬܐ ܠܡܪܝܐ ܥܠ ܓܢܒ ܬܚܘܡܗ̇
thkhwmh gnb el lmry' wqymth' dmtsryn d're' bgwh lmry' mdbkh' nhw' hw bywm'
In that day, there will be an altar to Yahweh in the middle of the land of Egypt, and a pillar to Yahweh at its border.

ܘܬܗܘܐ ܠܐܬܐ ܘܠܣܗܕܘܬܐ ܠܡܪܝܐ ܚܝܠܬܢܐ ܒܐܪܥܐ ܕܡܨܪܝܢ ܡܛܠ ܕܢܓܥܘܢ ܩܕܡ ܡܪܝܐ ܡܢ ܩܕܡ ܐܠܘܨܐ ܘܢܫܕܪ ܠܗܘܢ ܦܪܘܩܐ ܘܕܝ̇ܢܐ ܘܢܦܨܐ ܐܢܘܢ
'nwn wnpts' wdyn' prwq' lhwn wnshdr 'lwts' qdm mn mry' qdm dngewn mTl dmtsryn b're' khylthn' lmry' wlshdwth' l'th' wthhw'
It will be for a sign and for a witness to Yahweh of Armies in the land of Egypt; for they will cry to Yahweh because of oppressors, and he will send them a savior and a defender, and he will deliver them.

ܘܢܬܝܕܥ ܡܪܝܐ ܠܡܨܪ̈ܝܐ ܘܢܕܥܘܢܗ ܡܨܪ̈ܝܐ ܠܡܪܝܐ ܒܝܘܡܐ ܗ̇ܘ ܘܢܩܪܒܘܢ ܕܒܚ̈ܐ ܘܣܡܝܕܐ ܘܢܕܪܘܢ ܢܕܪ̈ܐ ܠܡܪܝܐ ܘܢܫܠܡܘܢ
wnshlmwn lmry' ndr' wndrwn wsmyd' dbkh' wnqrbwn hw bywm' lmry' mtsry' wndewnh lmtsry' mry' wnthyde
Yahweh will be known to Egypt, and the Egyptians will know Yahweh in that day. Yes, they will worship with sacrifice and offering, and will vow a vow to Yahweh, and will perform it.

ܘܢܡܚܐ ܡܪܝܐ ܠܡܨܪ̈ܝܐ ܡܚܘܬܐ ܘܢܐܣܐ ܐܢܘܢ ܘܢܬܦܢܘܢ ܠܘܬ ܡܪܝܐ ܘܢܥܢܐ ܐܢܘܢ ܘܢܐܣܐ ܐܢܘܢ
'nwn wn's' 'nwn wnen' mry' lwth wnthpnwn 'nwn wn's' mkhwth' lmtsry' mry' wnmkh'
Yahweh will strike Egypt, striking and healing. They will return to Yahweh, and he will be entreated by them, and will heal them.

ܒܝܘܡܐ ܗ̇ܘ ܢܗܘܐ ܫܒܝܠܐ ܡܢ ܡܨܪܝܢ ܠܐܬܘܪ ܘܡܢ ܐܬܘܪ ܠܡܨܪܝܢ ܘܢܥܘܠ ܐܬܘܪܝܐ ܠܡܨܪܝܢ ܘܡܨܪܝܐ ܠܐܬܘܪ ܘܢܦܠܚܘܢ ܡܨܪ̈ܝܐ ܠܐܬܘܪ̈ܝܐ
l'thwry' mtsry' wnplkhwn l'thwr wmtsry' lmtsryn 'thwry' wnewl lmtsryn 'thwr wmn l'thwr mtsryn mn shbyl' nhw' hw bywm'
In that day there will be a highway out of Egypt to Assyria, and the Assyrian shall come into Egypt, and the Egyptian into Assyria; and the Egyptians will worship with the Assyrians.

ܒܝܘܡܐ ܗ̇ܘ ܢܗܘܐ ܐܝܣܪܝܠ ܚܕ ܡܢ ܬܠܬܐ ܠܡܨܪ̈ܝܐ ܘܠܐܬܘܪ̈ܝܐ ܒܘܪܟܬܐ ܒܓܘ ܐܪܥܐ
're' bgw bwrkth' wl'thwry' lmtsry' thlth' mn khd 'ysryl nhw' hw bywm'
In that day, Israel will be the third with Egypt and with Assyria, a blessing within the earth;

ܕܠܗ ܒܪܟ ܡܪܝܐ ܚܝܠܬܢܐ ܘܐܡܪ ܒܪܝܟ ܥܡܝ ܕܒܡܨܪܝܢ ܘܥܒ̇ܕ ܐ̈ܝܕܝ ܕܒܐܬܘܪ ܘܝܘܪܬܢܝ ܐܝܣܪܝܠ
'ysryl wywrthny db'thwr 'ydy webd dbmtsryn emy bryk w'mr khylthn' mry' brk dlh
because Yahweh of Armies has blessed them, saying, “Blessed be Egypt my people, Assyria the work of my hands, and Israel my inheritance.”
