ווי דרשמין רשמין דמינס וכתב דליאו כתבין:
kthbyn dlyaw wkthb dmyns rshmyn drshmyn wwy
Woe to those who decree unrighteous decrees, and to the writers who write oppressive decrees

לאסטאה מדין מסכנין ולמינס מה דרען מחשיכי עמא בדינא למהוי ארמלן עדיהון וית נכסי יתמיא יבזון:
ybzwn ythmya nksy wyth edyhwn armln lmhwy bdyna ema mkhshyky dren mh wlmyns msknyn mdyn lasTah
to deprive the needy of justice, and to rob the poor among my people of their rights, that widows may be their plunder, and that they may make the fatherless their prey!

ומה תעבדון ליומא דיסערון עליכון חוביכון ולריגוש עקא מרחיק ייתי לאן תערקון לסעיד והיכא תשבקון יקרכון:
yqrkwn thshbqwn whyka lseyd therqwn lan yythy mrkhyq eqa wlrygwsh khwbykwn elykwn dyserwn lywma thebdwn wmh
What will you do in the day of visitation, and in the desolation which will come from afar? To whom will you flee for help? Where will you leave your wealth?

בכן בר מן ארעכון אסירין תתאסרון ובר מקרויכון קטילין תתרמון בכל דא לא תבו מחוביהון דיתוב רוגזיה מנהון ועד כען מתקפין מרדיהון ועוד מחתיה עתידא לאתפרע מנהון:
mnhwn lathpre ethyda mkhthyh wewd mrdyhwn mthqpyn ken wed mnhwn rwgzyh dythwb mkhwbyhwn thbw la da bkl ththrmwn qTylyn mqrwykwn wbr ththasrwn asyryn arekwn mn br bkn
They will only bow down under the prisoners, and will fall under the slain. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.

ווי אתוראה שולטן רוגזי ומלאך שליח מן קדמי עליהון בלוט:
blwT elyhwn qdmy mn shlykh wmlak rwgzy shwlTn athwrah wwy
Alas Assyrian, the rod of my anger, the staff in whose hand is my indignation!

בכנישא חניפא אשלחיניה ועל עמא דעברו על אוריתא אפקדיניה למבז בזא ולמעדי עדאה ולשויותיה לדייש כסין שוקין:
shwqyn ksyn ldyysh wlshwywthyh edah wlmedy bza lmbz apqdynyh awrytha el debrw ema wel ashlkhynyh khnypa bknysha
I will send him against a profane nation, and against the people who anger me I will give him a command to take the plunder and to take the prey, and to tread them down like the mire of the streets.

והוא לא כן מדמי ולביה לא כן מחשיב ארי לשיצאה אמר בלביה ולאספא עממין לא בחיס:
bkhys la emmyn wlaspa blbyh amr lshytsah ary mkhshyb kn la wlbyh mdmy kn la whwa
However, he doesn’t mean so, neither does his heart think so; but it is in his heart to destroy, and to cut off not a few nations.

ארי יימר הלא כל שלטוני כחדא כמלכין חשיבין קדמי:
qdmy khshybyn kmlkyn kkhda shlTwny kl hla yymr ary
For he says, “Aren’t all of my princes kings?

הלא כמא דכרכמיש כבישא קדמי כן כלנו אם לא כמא דארפד מסירא בידי כן חמת וכמא דעבדית לדמשק כן אעביד לשמרון:
lshmrwn aebyd kn ldmshq debdyth wkma khmth kn bydy msyra darpd kma la am klnw kn qdmy kbysha dkrkmysh kma hla
Isn’t Calno like Carchemish? Isn’t Hamath like Arpad? Isn’t Samaria like Damascus?”

כמא דאשכחת ידי מלכון דפלחן לטעותא וצלמניהון מירושלם ומיקמתא דשמרון:
dshmrwn wmyqmtha myrwshlm wtslmnyhwn lTewtha dplkhn mlkwn ydy dashkkhth kma
As my hand has found the kingdoms of the idols, whose engraved images exceeded those of Jerusalem and of Samaria,

הלא כמא דעבדית לשמרון ולטעותהא כן אעביד לירושלם ולצלמניא די בה:
bh dy wltslmnya lyrwshlm aebyd kn wlTewthha lshmrwn debdyth kma hla
shall I not, as I have done to Samaria and her idols, so do to Jerusalem and her idols?

ויהי ארי ישיצי יי למעבד ית כל דאמר בטורא דציון ובירושלם אסער על עובדי רם לבא דמלכא דאתור ועל תושבחת רמות עינוהי:
eynwhy rmwth thwshbkhth wel dathwr dmlka lba rm ewbdy el aser wbyrwshlm dtsywn bTwra damr kl yth lmebd yy yshytsy ary wyhy
Therefore it will happen that when the Lord has performed his whole work on Mount Zion and on Jerusalem, I will punish the fruit of the willful proud heart of the king of Assyria, and the insolence of his arrogant looks.

ארי אמר בתקוף ידי עבדית ובחוכמתי ארי סוכלתן אנא ואגליתי עממיא ממדינא למדינא וקרוי תושבחתהון בזיתי ואחתית בתקוף ית יתבי כרכין תקיפין:
thqypyn krkyn ythby yth bthqwp wakhthyth bzythy thwshbkhthhwn wqrwy lmdyna mmdyna emmya waglythy ana swklthn ary wbkhwkmthy ebdyth ydy bthqwp amr ary
For he has said, “By the strength of my hand I have done it, and by my wisdom, for I have understanding. I have removed the boundaries of the peoples, and have robbed their treasures. Like a valiant man I have brought down their rulers.

ואשכחית כקנה ידי נכסי עממיא וכמכנש ביעין שביקין כל דירי ארעא אנא כנישית ולא הוה נטיל מכא ושדי כא ופתח פומא וממליל מלא:
mla wmmlyl pwma wpthkh ka wshdy mka nTyl hwh wla knyshyth ana area dyry kl shbyqyn byeyn wkmknsh emmya nksy ydy kqnh washkkhyth
My hand has found the riches of the peoples like a nest, and like one gathers eggs that are abandoned, I have gathered all the earth. There was no one who moved their wing, or that opened their mouth, or chirped.”

האפשר דישתבח חולילא על דחליל ביה למימר הא אנא חלילת אם יתרברב מסרא על דנגיר בה למימר הלא אנא נגרית כארמא חוטרא לממחי לא חוטרא מחי אלהן מן דמחי ביה:
byh dmkhy mn alhn mkhy khwTra la lmmkhy khwTra karma ngryth ana hla lmymr bh dngyr el msra ythrbrb am khlylth ana ha lmymr byh dkhlyl el khwlyla dyshthbkh hapshr
Should an ax brag against him who chops with it? Should a saw exalt itself above him who saws with it? As if a rod should lift those who lift it up, or as if a staff should lift up someone who is not wood.

חלף דאתרברב מלכא דאתור בכן ישלח רבון עלמא יי צבאות ברברבנוהי מחא ותחות מני יקרהון מיקד ייקדון כיקידת אשא:
asha kyqydth yyqdwn myqd yqrhwn mny wthkhwth mkha brbrbnwhy tsbawth yy elma rbwn yshlkh bkn dathwr mlka dathrbrb khlp
Therefore the Lord, Yahweh of Armies, will send among his fat ones leanness; and under his glory a burning will be kindled like the burning of fire.

ויהי מרי נהוריה דישראל וקדישיה מימריה תקיף כאשתא ופתגמוהי כשלהוביתא ויקטול וישיצי שלטונוהי וטורנוהי ביומא חד:
khd bywma wTwrnwhy shlTwnwhy wyshytsy wyqTwl kshlhwbytha wpthgmwhy kashtha thqyp mymryh wqdyshyh dyshral nhwryh mry wyhy
The light of Israel will be for a fire, and his Holy One for a flame; and it will burn and devour his thorns and his briers in one day.

ויקר סגי משריתיה נפשיהון עם פגריהון ישיצי ויהי תביר ועריק:
weryq thbyr wyhy yshytsy pgryhwn em npshyhwn mshrythyh sgy wyqr
He will consume the glory of his forest and of his fruitful field, both soul and body. It will be as when a standard bearer faints.

ושאר עבדי קרביה יסופון למהוי עם דמנין ומלכו חלשא יתחשבון:
ythkhshbwn khlsha wmlkw dmnyn em lmhwy yswpwn qrbyh ebdy wshar
The remnant of the trees of his forest shall be few, so that a child could write their number.
20
ויהי בעדנא ההיא לא יוספון עוד שארא דישראל ושיזבת בית יעקב לאיסתמכא על עממיא דהוו מפלחין בהון ויסתמכון על מימרא דיי קדישא דישראל בקשוט:
bqshwT dyshral qdysha dyy mymra el wysthmkwn bhwn mplkhyn dhww emmya el laysthmka yeqb byth wshyzbth dyshral shara ewd ywspwn la hhya bedna wyhy
It will come to pass in that day that the remnant of Israel, and those who have escaped from the house of Jacob will no more again lean on him who struck them, but shall lean on Yahweh, the Holy One of Israel, in truth.

שאר דלא חטו ודתבו מחטאה שארא דבית יעקב יתובון למפלח קדם אלהא גברא:
gbra alha qdm lmplkh ythwbwn yeqb dbyth shara mkhTah wdthbw khTw dla shar
A remnant will return, even the remnant of Jacob, to the mighty God.

ארי אם יהי עמך ישראל סגי כחלא דימא שאר דלא חטו ודתבו מחטאה יתעבדון להון גבורן דמתגברין ומדברן בזכו:
bzkw wmdbrn dmthgbryn gbwrn lhwn ythebdwn mkhTah wdthbw khTw dla shar dyma kkhla sgy yshral emk yhy am ary
For though your people, Israel, are like the sand of the sea, only a remnant of them will return. A destruction is determined, overflowing with righteousness.
23
ארי גמירא ושיצאה יי אלהים צבאות עבד עם כל רשיעי בגו ארעא:
area bgw rshyey kl em ebd tsbawth alhym yy wshytsah gmyra ary
For the Lord, Yahweh of Armies, will make a full end, and that determined, throughout all the earth.
24
בכן כדנן אמר יי אלהים צבאות לא תדחל עמי יתיב ציון מאתורא בשולטניה ימחינך ומרותיה ירמי עלך כדבאורח מצרים:
mtsrym kdbawrkh elk yrmy wmrwthyh ymkhynk bshwlTnyh mathwra tsywn ythyb emy thdkhl la tsbawth alhym yy amr kdnn bkn
Therefore the Lord, Yahweh of Armies, says, “My people who dwell in Zion, don’t be afraid of the Assyrian, though he strike you with the rod, and lift up his staff against you, as Egypt did.

ארי עוד צבחר כזעיר ויסופון לוטיא מנכון דבית יעקב ורוגזי על עממיא עבדי תבלא לשיציותהון:
lshytsywthhwn thbla ebdy emmya el wrwgzy yeqb dbyth mnkwn lwTya wyswpwn kzeyr tsbkhr ewd ary
For yet a very little while, and the indignation against you will be accomplished, and my anger will be directed to his destruction.”

וייתי עלוהי יי צבאות מחא כמחת מדין בשקיף עורב ומרותיה תעדי מנכון כמא דעדת מרות פרעה על ימא ויתעבדן לכון גבורן כדבאורח מצרים:
mtsrym kdbawrkh gbwrn lkwn wythebdn yma el preh mrwth dedth kma mnkwn thedy wmrwthyh ewrb bshqyp mdyn kmkhth mkha tsbawth yy elwhy wyythy
Yahweh of Armies will stir up a scourge against him, as in the slaughter of Midian at the rock of Oreb. His rod will be over the sea, and he will lift it up like he did against Egypt.
27
ויהי בעדנא ההיא תעדי מרותיה מנך וניריה מעל צורך ויתברון עממיא מן קדם משיחא:
mshykha qdm mn emmya wythbrwn tswrk mel wnyryh mnk mrwthyh thedy hhya bedna wyhy
It will happen in that day that his burden will depart from off your shoulder, and his yoke from off your neck, and the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing oil.

אתא על עית עבר במגרון למכמש ימני רבני משריתיה:
mshrythyh rbny ymny lmkmsh bmgrwn ebr eyth el atha
He has come to Aiath. He has passed through Migron. At Michmash he stores his baggage.

גזו עברו ירדנא בגבע בתו להון אתברו יתבי רמתא אנש גבעת שאול ערקו:
erqw shawl gbeth ansh rmtha ythby athbrw lhwn bthw bgbe yrdna ebrw gzw
They have gone over the pass. They have taken up their lodging at Geba. Ramah trembles. Gibeah of Saul has fled.

ארימו קליכון אנש בת גלים אציתו דיתבין בליש דדירין בעניה ענתות:
enthwth benyh ddyryn blysh dythbyn atsythw glym bth ansh qlykwn arymw
Cry aloud with your voice, daughter of Gallim! Listen, Laishah! You poor Anathoth!

אתברו אנש מדמנה יתבי גיבים גלו:
glw gybym ythby mdmnh ansh athbrw
Madmenah is a fugitive. The inhabitants of Gebim flee for safety.
32
עד כען יומא רב וסגי עדן ליה למיעל הא סנחרב אתא וקם בנוב קרית כהניא לקביל שורא דירושלם ועני ואמר לחילותיה הלא דא היא קרתה ירושלם דעלא ארגשית כל משריתי ועלה כבשית כל מדינתי הא היא זעירא וחלשא מכל כרכי עממיא דכבישית בתקוף ידי עלה קם מניד ברישיה מוביל ומיתי בידיה על טור בית מקדשא די בציון ועל עזרתא דבירושלם:
dbyrwshlm ezrtha wel btsywn dy mqdsha byth Twr el bydyh wmythy mwbyl bryshyh mnyd qm elh ydy bthqwp dkbyshyth emmya krky mkl wkhlsha zeyra hya ha mdynthy kl kbshyth welh mshrythy kl argshyth dela yrwshlm qrthh hya da hla lkhylwthyh wamr weny dyrwshlm shwra lqbyl khnya qryth bnwb wqm atha snkhrb ha lmyel lyh edn wsgy rb ywma ken ed
This very day he will halt at Nob. He shakes his hand at the mountain of the daughter of Zion, the hill of Jerusalem.

הא רבון עלמא יי צבאות רמי קטול במשריתיה כבעוט דמתבעיט במעצרתא ורמי קומא יתקטפון ותקיפיא ימאכון:
ymakwn wthqypya ythqTpwn qwma wrmy bmetsrtha dmthbeyT kbewT bmshrythyh qTwl rmy tsbawth yy elma rbwn ha
Behold, the Lord, Yahweh of Armies, will lop the boughs with terror. The tall will be cut down, and the lofty will be brought low.
