נביא בחכך אכלי כד בשופרא אמר הא כנשרא דמשתרי כן יסק מלך במשריתיה וישרי על בית מקדשא דיי חלף דעברו על קימי ועל אוריתי מרדו:
mrdw awrythy wel qymy el debrw khlp dyy mqdsha byth el wyshry bmshrythyh mlk ysq kn dmshthry knshra ha amr bshwpra kd akly bkhkk nbya
“Put the trumpet to your lips! Something like an eagle is over Yahweh’s house, because they have broken my covenant and rebelled against my law.

בכל עדן דאתיא עליהון עקא מצלן קדמי ואמרין כען ידענא ארי לית לנא אלהא בר מנך פרוקנא ארי אנחנא עמך ישראל:
yshral emk ankhna ary prwqna mnk br alha lna lyth ary ydena ken wamryn qdmy mtsln eqa elyhwn dathya edn bkl
They cry to me, ‘My God, we, Israel, acknowledge you!’

טעו בית ישראל מבתר פולחני די בדיליה אנא מיתי עליהון טובא מכען סנאה ירדפינון:
yrdpynwn snah mken Twba elyhwn mythy ana bdylyh dy pwlkhny mbthr yshral byth Tew
Israel has cast off that which is good. The enemy will pursue him.

אינון אמליכו ולא ממימרי רביאו ולא מרעותי כספהון ודהבהון דאסיקו להון ממצרים עבדו להון טעון בדיל דישתיצון:
dyshthytswn bdyl Tewn lhwn ebdw mmtsrym lhwn dasyqw wdhbhwn ksphwn mrewthy wla rbyaw mmymry wla amlykw aynwn
They have set up kings, but not by me. They have made princes, and I didn’t approve. Of their silver and their gold they have made themselves idols, that they may be cut off.

טעו בתר עגלא דשמרון תקיף רוגזי בהון עד אימתי לא יכלון למזכי:
lmzky yklwn la aymthy ed bhwn rwgzy thqyp dshmrwn egla bthr Tew
Let Samaria throw out his calf idol! My anger burns against them! How long will it be until they are capable of purity?

ארי מישראל הוא נבי אומן הוא עבדיה דחלא דלית בה צרוך הוא ארי לנסרי לוחין יהי עגלא דשמרון:
dshmrwn egla yhy lwkhyn lnsry ary hwa tsrwk bh dlyth dkhla ebdyh hwa awmn nby hwa myshral ary
For this is even from Israel! The workman made it, and it is no God; indeed, the calf of Samaria shall be broken in pieces.

בית ישראל דמן לדרוח זרע ועלעול חציד קמה לית ליה נוב לא יעבד מאים יקנון נכסין עממיא יבזונונון:
ybzwnwnwn emmya nksyn yqnwn maym yebd la nwb lyh lyth qmh khtsyd welewl zre ldrwkh dmn yshral byth
For they sow the wind, and they will reap the whirlwind. He has no standing grain. The stalk will yield no head. If it does yield, strangers will swallow it up.

אתבזיז ישראל כען הוו בעממיא כמנא דלית צרוך ביה:
byh tsrwk dlyth kmna bemmya hww ken yshral athbzyz
Israel is swallowed up. Now they are among the nations like a worthless thing.

ארי אינון גלו לאתור על דהליכו ברעות נפשהון כערד מרוד בית ישראל אתמסרו ביד עממיא דרחימו:
drkhymw emmya byd athmsrw yshral byth mrwd kerd npshhwn brewth dhlykw el lathwr glw aynwn ary
For they have gone up to Assyria, like a wild donkey wandering alone. Ephraim has hired lovers for himself.

אף אם ישוון בית ישראל דחלתי על לבהון מביני עממיא אקריב גלותהון ואפילו יחכמון כזעיר אעדי מנהון מרות מלכין ושלטונין:
wshlTwnyn mlkyn mrwth mnhwn aedy kzeyr ykhkmwn wapylw glwthhwn aqryb emmya mbyny lbhwn el dkhlthy yshral byth yshwwn am ap
But although they sold themselves among the nations, I will now gather them; and they begin to waste away because of the oppression of the king of mighty ones.

ארי אסגיאו דבית אפרים אגורין למחטי הוו להון אגורי טעותהון לתקלא:
lthqla Tewthhwn agwry lhwn hww lmkhTy agwryn aprym dbyth asgyaw ary
Because Ephraim has multiplied altars for sinning, they became for him altars for sinning.

כתבית להון סגיאות אוריתי ואינון כעממיא אתחשיבו:
athkhshybw kemmya waynwn awrythy sgyawth lhwn kthbyth
I wrote for him the many things of my law, but they were regarded as a strange thing.

דבחין דמגבן מן אונס דבחין בסרא ואכלין וקדם יי לא רעוא בהון כען יסער חוביהון ויתפרע עויתהון אינון למצרים יתובון:
ythwbwn lmtsrym aynwn ewythhwn wythpre khwbyhwn yser ken bhwn rewa la yy wqdm waklyn bsra dbkhyn awns mn dmgbn dbkhyn
As for the sacrifices of my offerings, they sacrifice meat and eat it, but Yahweh doesn’t accept them. Now he will remember their iniquity, and punish their sins. They will return to Egypt.

ושבק ישראל ית פולחן עבדיה ובנא היכלין לטעותא ודבית יהודה אסגיאו קרוין כריכן ואשלח אשתא בקרווהי ותשיצי ברניתהא:
brnythha wthshytsy bqrwwhy ashtha washlkh krykn qrwyn asgyaw yhwdh wdbyth lTewtha hyklyn wbna ebdyh pwlkhn yth yshral wshbq
For Israel has forgotten his Maker and built palaces; and Judah has multiplied fortified cities; but I will send a fire on his cities, and it will devour its fortresses.”
