כמתבעי חובי ישראל ויתגלין עוית אפרים ובישת שמרון ארי עבדו שקר ובליליא בבתיא גנבין ומדברא ביממא קפחין:
qpkhyn bymma wmdbra gnbyn bbthya wblylya shqr ebdw ary shmrwn wbyshth aprym ewyth wythglyn yshral khwby kmthbey
When I would heal Israel, then the iniquity of Ephraim is uncovered, also the wickedness of Samaria; for they commit falsehood, and the thief enters in, and the gang of robbers ravages outside.

לא מחשבין בלבהון דכל בישתהון גלין קדמי כען יקפונינון עובדיהון בישיא די קדמי הוו גלן:
gln hww qdmy dy byshya ewbdyhwn yqpwnynwn ken qdmy glyn byshthhwn dkl blbhwn mkhshbyn la
They don’t consider in their hearts that I remember all their wickedness. Now their own deeds have engulfed them. They are before my face.

בסריקתהון מחדן מלכא ובכדיביהון רברבין:
rbrbyn wbkdybyhwn mlka mkhdn bsryqthhwn
They make the king glad with their wickedness, and the princes with their lies.

כולהון מחמדין למינף נשי חבריהון דלקין כתנורא דאזליהון נחתומא בכן יגלון בפריע מקרויהון כמא דמוחן לקימא מחשבת רשעא ועל דלא אדכרו נסין וגבורן דאתעבידו להון ביום מסקהון ממצרים מעדן מילש לישא עד לא חמע:
khme la ed lysha mylsh medn mmtsrym msqhwn bywm lhwn dathebydw wgbwrn nsyn adkrw dla wel rshea mkhshbth lqyma dmwkhn kma mqrwyhwn bprye yglwn bkn nkhthwma dazlyhwn kthnwra dlqyn khbryhwn nshy lmynp mkhmdyn kwlhwn
They are all adulterers. They are burning like an oven that the baker stops stirring, from the kneading of the dough, until it is leavened.

יומא דמניאו עליהון מלכהון שריאו רברביא למשתיה עמיה חמר נגד לידי סיעת שכרין:
shkryn syeth lydy ngd khmr emyh lmshthyh rbrbya shryaw mlkhwn elyhwn dmnyaw ywma
On the day of our king, the princes made themselves sick with the heat of wine. He joined his hand with mockers.

ארי אתקריבו לעצת חטאין ולא עכיבו כתנורא בער לבהון באתכמוניהון כל ליליא מוריך רוגזהון על צפרא הוא דליק באשא שלהובי:
shlhwby basha dlyq hwa tspra el rwgzhwn mwryk lylya kl bathkmwnyhwn lbhwn ber kthnwra ekybw wla khTayn letsth athqrybw ary
For they have prepared their heart like an oven, while they lie in wait. Their anger smolders all night. In the morning it burns as a flaming fire.

כולהון מחממין כתנורא ובלישן שקריהון מחיבין ית דיניהון כל מלכיהון אתקטלו לית דמצלי מנהון קדמי:
qdmy mnhwn dmtsly lyth athqTlw mlkyhwn kl dynyhwn yth mkhybyn shqryhwn wblyshn kthnwra mkhmmyn kwlhwn
They are all hot as an oven, and devour their judges. All their kings have fallen. There is no one among them who calls to me.

בית אפרים דמן לחררא דעד לא אתהפכת אתאכלת:
athaklth athhpkth la ded lkhrra dmn aprym byth
Ephraim mixes himself among the nations. Ephraim is a pancake not turned over.

בזו עממיא נכסיהון ואינון לא ידעין אף חלישותא מטתינון ואינון לא מסתכלין:
msthklyn la waynwn mTthynwn khlyshwtha ap ydeyn la waynwn nksyhwn emmya bzw
Strangers have devoured his strength, and he doesn’t realize it. Indeed, gray hairs are here and there on him, and he doesn’t realize it.

וימאך יקר ישראל ואינון חזן על דלא תבו לפולחנא דיי אלההון ולא בעו מן קדמוהי בכל דא:
da bkl qdmwhy mn bew wla alhhwn dyy lpwlkhna thbw dla el khzn waynwn yshral yqr wymak
The pride of Israel testifies to his face; yet they haven’t returned to Yahweh their God, nor sought him, for all this.

והוו בית ישראל דמן כיונה שריחתא דאתנסיבו בנהא ולית לה לב למצרים אתקרבו לאתור גלו:
glw lathwr athqrbw lmtsrym lb lh wlyth bnha dathnsybw shrykhtha kywnh dmn yshral byth whww
“Ephraim is like an easily deceived dove, without understanding. They call to Egypt. They go to Assyria.

באתר דיהכון אפרוס עליהון מצדתי כעופא דשמיא אטלטלינון יסורין איתי עליהון על דשמעו לעצתהון:
letsthhwn dshmew el elyhwn aythy yswryn aTlTlynwn dshmya kewpa mtsdthy elyhwn aprws dyhkwn bathr
When they go, I will spread my net on them. I will bring them down like the birds of the sky. I will chastise them, as their congregation has heard.

וי להון ארי אתרחקו מדחלתי בזוזין איתי עליהון ארי מרדו במימרי ואנא הויתי פריק להון ואינון ממללין קדמי כדיבין:
kdybyn qdmy mmllyn waynwn lhwn pryq hwythy wana bmymry mrdw ary elyhwn aythy bzwzyn mdkhlthy athrkhqw ary lhwn wy
Woe to them! For they have wandered from me. Destruction to them! For they have trespassed against me. Though I would redeem them, yet they have spoken lies against me.

ולא מצלן קדמי בלבהון בכן מיללין על ערסתהון בסגי עבורא וחמרא דהוו כנשין מרדו במימרי:
bmymry mrdw knshyn dhww wkhmra ebwra bsgy ersthhwn el myllyn bkn blbhwn qdmy mtsln wla
They haven’t cried to me with their heart, but they howl on their beds. They assemble themselves for grain and new wine. They turn away from me.

וכמא די אנא מיתי עליהון יסורין ומתקיף על דרעיהון כן אף אינון חשבן לאוספה קדמי בישן:
byshn qdmy lawsph khshbn aynwn ap kn dreyhwn el wmthqyp yswryn elyhwn mythy ana dy wkma
Though I have taught and strengthened their arms, yet they plot evil against me.

תבו למרוד מן אוריתא לא על דאבאישית להון דמן אינון כקשת נכילא יתקטלון בחרבא רברביהון מעמקות לישנהון אלין עובדיהון עד דאינון בארעא דמצרים:
dmtsrym barea daynwn ed ewbdyhwn alyn lyshnhwn memqwth rbrbyhwn bkhrba ythqTlwn nkyla kqshth aynwn dmn lhwn dabayshyth el la awrytha mn lmrwd thbw
They return, but not to the Most High. They are like a faulty bow. Their princes will fall by the sword for the rage of their tongue. This will be their derision in the land of Egypt.
