ܫܡܥܘ ܗܕܐ ܟܗܢܐ ܘܨܘܬܘ ܒܝܬ ܐܝܣܪܝܠ ܘܒܝܬ ܡܠܟܐ ܫܡܥܘ ܡܛܠ ܕܕܝܠܟܘܢ ܗܘ ܕܝܢܐ ܕܦܚܐ ܗܘܝܬܘܢ ܠܕܘܩܐ ܘܡܨܝܕܬܐ ܕܦܪܝܣܐ ܥܠ ܬܒܘܪ
thbwr el dprys' wmtsydth' ldwq' hwythwn dpkh' dyn' hw ddylkwn mTl shmew mlk' wbyth 'ysryl byth wtswthw khn' hd' shmew
“Listen to this, you priests! Listen, house of Israel, and give ear, house of the king! For the judgment is against you; for you have been a snare at Mizpah, and a net spread on Tabor.

ܘܨܝܕܐ ܕܨܝܕܝܢ ܛܡܪܘ ܦܚܐ ܐܢܐ ܕܝܢ ܐܪܕܐ ܠܟܠܗܘܢ
lklhwn 'rd' dyn 'n' pkh' Tmrw dtsydyn wtsyd'
The rebels are deep in slaughter, but I discipline all of them.

ܐܢܐ ܝܕܥ ܐܢܐ ܠܐܦܪܝܡ ܘܐܝܣܪܝܠ ܠܐ ܟܣܐ ܡܢܝ ܡܛܠ ܕܗܫܐ ܙܢܝ ܐܦܪܝܡ ܘܐܬܛܢܦ ܐܝܣܪܝܠ
'ysryl w'thTnp 'prym zny dhsh' mTl mny ks' l' w'ysryl l'prym 'n' yde 'n'
I know Ephraim, and Israel is not hidden from me; for now, Ephraim, you have played the prostitute. Israel is defiled.

ܠܐ ܫܒܩܢ ܠܗܘܢ ܨܢܥܬܗܘܢ ܕܢܬܦܢܘܢ ܠܘܬ ܐܠܗܗܘܢ ܡܛܠ ܕܪܘܚܐ ܕܙܢܝܘܬܐ ܒܓܘܗܘܢ ܘܠܡܪܝܐ ܠܐ ܝܕܥܘ
ydew l' wlmry' bgwhwn dznywth' drwkh' mTl 'lhhwn lwth dnthpnwn tsnethhwn lhwn shbqn l'
Their deeds won’t allow them to turn to their God, for the spirit of prostitution is within them, and they don’t know Yahweh.

ܘܢܬܡܟܟ ܐܝܩܪܗ ܕܐܝܣܪܝܠ ܩܕܡܘܗܝ ܘܐܝܣܪܝܠ ܘܐܦܪܝܡ ܢܬܬܩܠܘܢ ܒܥܘܠܗܘܢ ܘܢܬܬܩܠ ܐܦ ܝܗܘܕܐ ܥܡܗܘܢ
emhwn yhwd' 'p wnththql bewlhwn nththqlwn w'prym w'ysryl qdmwhy d'ysryl 'yqrh wnthmkk
The pride of Israel testifies to his face. Therefore Israel and Ephraim will stumble in their iniquity. Judah also will stumble with them.

ܒܥܢܗܘܢ ܘܒܬܘܪܝܗܘܢ ܢܐܙܠܘܢ ܠܡܒܥܝܗ ܠܡܪܝܐ ܘܠܐ ܢܫܟܚܘܢܗ ܡܛܠ ܕܦܪܩ ܠܗ ܡܢܗܘܢ
mnhwn lh dprq mTl nshkkhwnh wl' lmry' lmbeyh n'zlwn wbthwryhwn benhwn
They will go with their flocks and with their herds to seek Yahweh, but they won’t find him. He has withdrawn himself from them.

ܒܡܪܝܐ ܓܝܪ ܕܓܠܘ ܡܛܠ ܕܒܢܝܐ ܢܘܟܪܝܐ ܐܘܠܕܘ
'wldw nwkry' dbny' mTl dglw gyr bmry'
They are unfaithful to Yahweh; for they have borne illegitimate children. Now the new moon will devour them with their fields.

ܩܪܘ ܫܝܦܘܪܐ ܒܪܡܬܐ ܘܩܪܢܐ ܒܪܡܬܐ ܩܥܘ ܒܝܬ ܐܘܢ ܒܬܪܟ ܒܢܝܡܝܢ
bnymyn bthrk 'wn byth qew brmth' wqrn' brmth' shypwr' qrw
“Blow the cornet in Gibeah, and the trumpet in Ramah! Sound a battle cry at Beth Aven, behind you, Benjamin!

ܐܦܪܝܡ ܠܚܒܠܐ ܢܗܘܐ ܒܝܘܡܐ ܕܡܟܣܢܘܬܐ ܒܫܪܒܬܐ ܕܐܝܣܪܝܠ ܐܘܕܥܬ ܗܝܡܢܘܬܐ
hymnwth' 'wdeth d'ysryl bshrbth' dmksnwth' bywm' nhw' lkhbl' 'prym
Ephraim will become a desolation in the day of rebuke. Among the tribes of Israel, I have made known that which will surely be.

ܗܘܘ ܪܘܪܒܢܐ ܕܝܗܘܕܐ ܐܝܟ ܗܢܘܢ ܕܡܫܢܝܢ ܬܚܘܡܐ ܐܫܘܕ ܪܘܓܙܝ ܥܠܝܗܘܢ ܐܝܟ ܡܝܐ
my' 'yk elyhwn rwgzy 'shwd thkhwm' dmshnyn hnwn 'yk dyhwd' rwrbn' hww
The princes of Judah are like those who remove a landmark. I will pour out my wrath on them like water.

ܛܠܝܡ ܐܦܪܝܡ ܘܐܠܝܨ ܒܕܝܢܐ ܡܛܠ ܕܨܒܐ ܠܡܐܙܠ ܒܬܪ ܣܪܝܩܬܐ
sryqth' bthr lm'zl dtsb' mTl bdyn' w'lyts 'prym Tlym
Ephraim is oppressed, he is crushed in judgment, because he is intent in his pursuit of idols.

ܘܐܢܐ ܐܗܘܐ ܐܝܟ ܕܠܘܚܝܐ ܠܐܦܪܝܡ ܘܐܝܟ ܐܪܝܐ ܠܕܒܝܬ ܝܗܘܕܐ
yhwd' ldbyth 'ry' w'yk l'prym dlwkhy' 'yk 'hw' w'n'
Therefore I am to Ephraim like a moth, and to the house of Judah like rottenness.

ܘܚܙܐ ܐܦܪܝܡ ܟܘܪܗܢܘܗܝ ܘܝܗܘܕܐ ܟܐܒܘܗܝ ܘܐܙܠ ܐܦܪܝܡ ܠܐܬܘܪ ܘܫܕܪ ܠܘܬ ܡܠܟܐ ܕܝܪܒ ܘܗܘ ܠܐ ܡܫܟܚ ܠܡܐܣܝܘܬܟܘܢ ܘܠܐ ܢܚܠܡ ܡܢܟܘܢ ܟܐܒܝܟܘܢ
k'bykwn mnkwn nkhlm wl' lm'sywthkwn mshkkh l' whw dyrb mlk' lwth wshdr l'thwr 'prym w'zl k'bwhy wyhwd' kwrhnwhy 'prym wkhz'
“When Ephraim saw his sickness, and Judah his wound, then Ephraim went to Assyria, and sent to King Jareb: but he is not able to heal you, neither will he cure you of your wound.

ܡܛܠ ܕܐܢܐ ܐܝܟ ܐܪܝܐ ܠܐܦܪܝܡ ܘܐܝܟ ܓܘܪܝܐ ܕܐܪܝܐ ܠܕܒܝܬ ܝܗܘܕܐ ܐܢܐ ܐܬܒܪ ܘܐܙܠ ܘܐܫܩܘܠ ܘܠܝܬ ܕܡܦܨܐ
dmpts' wlyth w'shqwl w'zl 'thbr 'n' yhwd' ldbyth d'ry' gwry' w'yk l'prym 'ry' 'yk d'n' mTl
For I will be to Ephraim like a lion, and like a young lion to the house of Judah. I myself will tear in pieces and go away. I will carry off, and there will be no one to deliver.
