קבילו פתגמא דיי בני ישראל ארי דינא קדם יי עם יתבי ארעא ארי לית עבדי קושטא ולית גמלי חיסדא ולית דמהלכין בדחלתא דיי בארעא:
barea dyy bdkhltha dmhlkyn wlyth khysda gmly wlyth qwshTa ebdy lyth ary area ythby em yy qdm dyna ary yshral bny dyy pthgma qbylw
Hear Yahweh’s word, you children of Israel, for Yahweh has a charge against the inhabitants of the land: “Indeed there is no truth, nor goodness, nor knowledge of God in the land.

יימן לשקר וכדבין וקטלי נפשן וגנבן וגיפין ומולדין בנין מנשי חבריהון וחובין על חובין מוספין:
mwspyn khwbyn el wkhwbyn khbryhwn mnshy bnyn wmwldyn wgypyn wgnbn npshn wqTly wkdbyn lshqr yymn
There is cursing, lying, murder, stealing, and committing adultery; they break boundaries, and bloodshed causes bloodshed.

על כן תחרוב ארעא ויצדי כל דיתב בה בחית ברא ובעופא דשמיא ואף נוני ימא יזערון מן קדם חוביהון:
khwbyhwn qdm mn yzerwn yma nwny wap dshmya wbewpa bra bkhyth bh dythb kl wytsdy area thkhrwb kn el
Therefore the land will mourn, and everyone who dwells in it will waste away, with all living things in her, even the animals of the field and the birds of the sky; yes, the fish of the sea also die.

ברם על דאמרין ספר לא יליף ולא יוכח נביא ועמך נצן עם מלפיהון:
mlpyhwn em ntsn wemk nbya ywkkh wla ylyp la spr damryn el brm
“Yet let no man bring a charge, neither let any man accuse; for your people are like those who bring charges against a priest.

ותתקלון ביממא ויתקלון אף נבייא דשקרא די עמכון כד בליליא ואבהית כנשתכון:
knshthkwn wabhyth blylya kd emkwn dy dshqra nbyya ap wythqlwn bymma wththqlwn
You will stumble in the day, and the prophet will also stumble with you in the night; and I will destroy your mother.

אטפשו עמי מבלי דעתא ארי את מדע דחלתי קצתא וארחקינך מלשמשא קדמי ועל דאתנשיתא אוריתא דאלהך ארחיק בנך אף אנא:
ana ap bnk arkhyq dalhk awrytha dathnshytha wel qdmy mlshmsha warkhqynk qtstha dkhlthy mde ath ary detha mbly emy aTpshw
My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I will also reject you, that you may be no priest to me. Because you have forgotten your God’s law, I will also forget your children.

כמא דאסגיתי להון עללא כן אסגיאו למחטי קדמי יקירהון בקלנא חליפו:
khlypw bqlna yqyrhwn qdmy lmkhTy asgyaw kn ella lhwn dasgythy kma
As they were multiplied, so they sinned against me. I will change their glory into shame.

כהניא פסו למיכל חטות עמי בדיל לאוספא חובין על חובי נפשהון:
npshhwn khwby el khwbyn lawspa bdyl emy khTwth lmykl psw khnya
They feed on the sin of my people, and set their heart on their iniquity.

ויהי כמא דאשוי חילונאה ככהנא לאפסא קודשיהון אפיס ית יקרהון ואשוי דיקיר לבסיר בדיל לאתפרע מנהון כאורחתהון בישתא וכעובדיהון מקלקליא אתיב להון:
lhwn athyb mqlqlya wkewbdyhwn byshtha kawrkhthhwn mnhwn lathpre bdyl lbsyr dyqyr washwy yqrhwn yth apys qwdshyhwn lapsa kkhna khylwnah dashwy kma wyhy
It will be like people, like priest; and I will punish them for their ways, and will repay them for their deeds.

ויכלון ולא יסבעון יסבון נשין ולא יולדון בנין ארי ית פולחנא דיי שבקו ולא נטרו:
nTrw wla shbqw dyy pwlkhna yth ary bnyn ywldwn wla nshyn ysbwn ysbewn wla wyklwn
They will eat, and not have enough. They will play the prostitute, and will not increase; because they have abandoned listening to Yahweh.

זנותא וחמרא ורויתא שליף ומטעי ית לבהון:
lbhwn yth wmTey shlyp wrwytha wkhmra znwtha
Prostitution, wine, and new wine take away understanding.

עמי די בצלם אעיה שאיל ומדמי דחוטריה מחוי ליה ארי רוח דטעו אטעיתינון וטעו מבתר פולחנא דאלההון:
dalhhwn pwlkhna mbthr wTew aTeythynwn dTew rwkh ary lyh mkhwy dkhwTryh wmdmy shayl aeyh btslm dy emy
My people consult with their wooden idol, and answer to a stick of wood. Indeed the spirit of prostitution has led them astray, and they have been unfaithful to their God.

על רישי טוריא מדבחין ועל רמתא מסקין בוסמין תחות בלוט ולבן ובוטמא ארי מעפי טוליה על כן מזנין בנתכון דהואה לכון מבנת עממיא וכלתכון דנסבתון לבניכון מן עממיא ניפן:
nypn emmya mn lbnykwn dnsbthwn wklthkwn emmya mbnth lkwn dhwah bnthkwn mznyn kn el Twlyh mepy ary wbwTma wlbn blwT thkhwth bwsmyn msqyn rmtha wel mdbkhyn Twrya ryshy el
They sacrifice on the tops of the mountains, and burn incense on the hills, under oaks, poplars, and terebinths, because its shade is good. Therefore your daughters play the prostitute, and your brides commit adultery.

לא אסער על בנתכון ארי מזנין ועל כלתכון ארי מניפן ארי אינון עם זניתא מסתיען ועם נפקת ברא אכלין ושתן ועם דרא דלא אסתכל באוריתא הלא אתרטש:
athrTsh hla bawrytha asthkl dla dra wem wshthn aklyn bra npqth wem msthyen znytha em aynwn ary mnypn ary klthkwn wel mznyn ary bnthkwn el aser la
I will not punish your daughters when they play the prostitute, nor your brides when they commit adultery; because the men consort with prostitutes, and they sacrifice with the shrine prostitutes; so the people without understanding will come to ruin.

אם טען אתון דבית ישראל לא יתחיבון דבית יהודה ולא תיתון לגלגלא ולא תסקון לבית אל ולא תשתבעון לשקר קים הוא יי:
yy hwa qym lshqr thshthbewn wla al lbyth thsqwn wla lglgla thythwn wla yhwdh dbyth ythkhybwn la yshral dbyth athwn Ten am
“Though you, Israel, play the prostitute, yet don’t let Judah offend; and don’t come to Gilgal, neither go up to Beth Aven, nor swear, ‘As Yahweh lives.’

ארי כתורא דאתפטם ובעיט כן מריד בסגי טובא ישראל כען ידברינון יי כאימר בחיר בבקעה:
bbqeh bkhyr kaymr yy ydbrynwn ken yshral Twba bsgy mryd kn wbeyT dathpTm kthwra ary
For Israel has behaved extremely stubbornly, like a stubborn heifer. Then how will Yahweh feed them like a lamb in a meadow?

אתחברו לטעותא בית ישראל שבקו להון ית פולחנא:
pwlkhna yth lhwn shbqw yshral byth lTewtha athkhbrw
Ephraim is joined to idols. Leave him alone!

שלטוניהון אסגיאו שירון מן אונס בכן טעו ואתפניאו בתר זנותא רחימו דתיתי להון קלנא רברביהון:
rbrbyhwn qlna lhwn dthythy rkhymw znwtha bthr wathpnyaw Tew bkn awns mn shyrwn asgyaw shlTwnyhwn
Their drink has become sour. They play the prostitute continually. Her rulers dearly love their shameful way.

עובדי רברביהון לא תקנין כמא דלית אפשר למיצר רוח בכנף כען איתי עליהון סנאה ויבהתון מאגורי טעותהון:
Tewthhwn magwry wybhthwn snah elyhwn aythy ken bknp rwkh lmytsr apshr dlyth kma thqnyn la rbrbyhwn ewbdy
The wind has wrapped her up in its wings; and they shall be disappointed because of their sacrifices.
