ܦܬܓܡܗ ܕܡܪܝܐ ܕܗܘܐ ܥܠ ܗܘܫܥ ܒܪ ܒܪܝ ܒܝܘܡܘܗܝ ܕܥܘܙܝܐ ܘܕܝܘܬܡ ܘܕܐܚܙ ܘܕܚܙܩܝܐ ܡܠܟܐ ܕܝܗܘܕܐ ܘܒܝܘܡܘܗܝ ܕܝܘܪܒܥܡ ܒܪ ܝܘܐܫ ܡܠܟܐ ܕܐܝܣܪܐܝܠ
d'ysr'yl mlk' yw'sh br dywrbem wbywmwhy dyhwd' mlk' wdkhzqy' wd'khz wdywthm dewzy' bywmwhy bry br hwshe el dhw' dmry' pthgmh
Yahweh’s word that came to Hosea the son of Beeri, in the days of Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah, kings of Judah, and in the days of Jeroboam the son of Joash, king of Israel.

ܪܝܫ ܦܬܓܡܗ ܕܡܪܝܐ ܕܗܘܐ ܥܠ ܗܘܫܥ ܐܡܪ ܡܪܝܐ ܠܗܘܫܥ ܙܠ ܣܒ ܠܟ ܐܢܬܬܐ ܕܡܙܢܝܐ ܘܒܢܝܐ ܕܡܙܢܝܢ ܡܛܠ ܕܡܙܢܝܘ ܬܙܢܐ ܐܪܥܐ ܡܢ ܒܬܪܗ ܕܡܪܝܐ
dmry' bthrh mn 're' thzn' dmznyw mTl dmznyn wbny' dmzny' 'nthth' lk sb zl lhwshe mry' 'mr hwshe el dhw' dmry' pthgmh rysh
When Yahweh spoke at first by Hosea, Yahweh said to Hosea, “Go, take for yourself a wife of prostitution and children of unfaithfulness; for the land commits great adultery, forsaking Yahweh.”

ܘܐܙܠ ܘܢܣܒ ܠܗ ܠܓܡܪ ܒܪܬ ܕܒܠܝܡ ܘܒܛܢܬ ܘܝܠܕܬ ܠܗ ܒܪܐ
br' lh wyldth wbTnth dblym brth lgmr lh wnsb w'zl
So he went and took Gomer the daughter of Diblaim; and she conceived, and bore him a son.

ܘܐܡܪ ܠܗ ܡܪܝܐ ܩܪܝ ܫܡܗ ܐܝܙܪܥܝܠ ܡܛܠ ܕܥܕ ܩܠܝܠ ܬܒܥ ܐܢܐ ܕܡܗ ܕܐܝܙܪܥܝܠ ܥܠ ܒܝܬܐ ܕܝܗܘ ܘܐܒܛܠ ܡܠܟܘܬܐ ܕܒܝܬ ܐܝܣܪܝܠ
'ysryl dbyth mlkwth' w'bTl dyhw byth' el d'yzreyl dmh 'n' thbe qlyl ded mTl 'yzreyl shmh qry mry' lh w'mr
Yahweh said to him, “Call his name Jezreel, for yet a little while, and I will avenge the blood of Jezreel on the house of Jehu, and will cause the kingdom of the house of Israel to cease.

ܒܗ ܒܝܘܡܐ ܗܘ ܐܬܒܪܝܗ ܠܩܫܬܐ ܕܐܝܣܪܝܠ ܒܥܘܡܩܐ ܕܐܝܙܪܥܝܠ
d'yzreyl bewmq' d'ysryl lqshth' 'thbryh hw bywm' bh
It will happen in that day that I will break the bow of Israel in the valley of Jezreel.”

ܘܒܛܢܬ ܬܘܒ ܘܝܠܕܬ ܒܪܬܐ ܘܐܡܪ ܠܝ ܡܪܝܐ ܩܪܝ ܫܡܗ ܠܐ ܐܬܪܚܡܬ ܡܛܠ ܕܠܐ ܡܘܣܦ ܐܢܐ ܬܘܒ ܠܡܪܚܡܘ ܥܠ ܕܒܝܬ ܐܝܣܪܝܠ ܐܠܐ ܡܫܩܠ ܫܩܠ ܐܢܐ ܠܗܘܢ
lhwn 'n' shql mshql 'l' 'ysryl dbyth el lmrkhmw thwb 'n' mwsp dl' mTl 'thrkhmth l' shmh qry mry' ly w'mr brth' wyldth thwb wbTnth
She conceived again, and bore a daughter. Then he said to him, “Call her name Lo-Ruhamah, for I will no longer have mercy on the house of Israel, that I should in any way pardon them.

ܥܠ ܒܝܬܐ ܕܝܢ ܕܝܗܘܕܐ ܐܪܚܡ ܘܐܦܪܘܩ ܐܢܘܢ ܒܡܪܝܐ ܐܠܗܗܘܢ ܠܐ ܒܩܫܬܐ ܐܦܪܘܩ ܐܢܘܢ ܐܦ ܠܐ ܒܣܝܦܐ ܐܦ ܠܐ ܒܩܪܒܐ ܘܠܐ ܒܪܟܫܐ ܐܦ ܠܐ ܒܦܪܫܐ
bprsh' l' 'p brksh' wl' bqrb' l' 'p bsyp' l' 'p 'nwn 'prwq bqshth' l' 'lhhwn bmry' 'nwn w'prwq 'rkhm dyhwd' dyn byth' el
But I will have mercy on the house of Judah, and will save them by Yahweh their God, and will not save them by bow, sword, battle, horses, or horsemen.”

ܘܚܣܠܬ ܠܕܠܐ ܐܬܪܚܡܬ ܘܒܛܢܬ ܬܘܒ ܘܝܠܕܬ ܒܪܐ
br' wyldth thwb wbTnth 'thrkhmth ldl' wkhslth
Now when she had weaned Lo-Ruhamah, she conceived, and bore a son.
