פתגם נבואה מן קדם יי דהוה עם הושע בר בארי ביומי עזיה יותם אחז יחזקיה מלכיא דבית יהודה ובימי ירבעם בר יואש מלכא דישראל:
dyshral mlka ywash br yrbem wbymy yhwdh dbyth mlkya ykhzqyh akhz ywthm ezyh bywmy bary br hwshe em dhwh yy qdm mn nbwah pthgm
Yahweh’s word that came to Hosea the son of Beeri, in the days of Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah, kings of Judah, and in the days of Jeroboam the son of Joash, king of Israel.

שריות פתגמא דיי בהושע ואמר יי להושע אזיל אתנבי נבואה על יתבי קרתא טעותא דאינון מוסיפין למחטי ארי מטעא יטעון דירי ארעא מבתר פולחנא דיי:
dyy pwlkhna mbthr area dyry yTewn mTea ary lmkhTy mwsypyn daynwn Tewtha qrtha ythby el nbwah athnby azyl lhwshe yy wamr bhwshe dyy pthgma shrywth
When Yahweh spoke at first by Hosea, Yahweh said to Hosea, “Go, take for yourself a wife of prostitution and children of unfaithfulness; for the land commits great adultery, forsaking Yahweh.”

ואזל ואתנבי עליהון דאם יתובון ישתביק להון ואם לא כמתר עלי תינין יתרון ואוסיפו ועבדו עובדין בישין:
byshyn ewbdyn webdw wawsypw ythrwn thynyn ely kmthr la wam lhwn yshthbyq ythwbwn dam elyhwn wathnby wazl
So he went and took Gomer the daughter of Diblaim; and she conceived, and bore him a son.

ואמר יי ליה קרא שומהון מבדריא ארי עוד צבחר כזעיר ואסער דם פלחי טעותא דאשד יהוא ביזרעאל דקטלינון על דפלחו לבעלא תבו אינון למטעי בתר עגליא דבבית אל בכן אחשביניה דם זכאי על בית יהוא ואבטיל מלכותא מבית ישראל:
yshral mbyth mlkwtha wabTyl yhwa byth el zkay dm akhshbynyh bkn al dbbyth eglya bthr lmTey aynwn thbw lbela dplkhw el dqTlynwn byzreal yhwa dashd Tewtha plkhy dm waser kzeyr tsbkhr ewd ary mbdrya shwmhwn qra lyh yy wamr
Yahweh said to him, “Call his name Jezreel, for yet a little while, and I will avenge the blood of Jezreel on the house of Jehu, and will cause the kingdom of the house of Israel to cease.

ויהי בעדנא ההיא ואתבר ית תקוף עבדי קרב ישראל במישר יזרעאל:
yzreal bmyshr yshral qrb ebdy thqwp yth wathbr hhya bedna wyhy
It will happen in that day that I will break the bow of Israel in the valley of Jezreel.”

ואוסיפו ועבדו עובדין בישין ואמר ליה קרי שומהון דלא רחימין בעובדיהון ארי לא אוסיף עוד לרחמא על בית ישראל ברם אם יתובון משבק אשבוק להון:
lhwn ashbwq mshbq ythwbwn am brm yshral byth el lrkhma ewd awsyp la ary bewbdyhwn rkhymyn dla shwmhwn qry lyh wamr byshyn ewbdyn webdw wawsypw
She conceived again, and bore a daughter. Then he said to him, “Call her name Lo-Ruhamah, for I will no longer have mercy on the house of Israel, that I should in any way pardon them.

ועל דבית יהודה ארחם ואפרקינון במימרא דיי אלההון ולא יתפרקון בקשתא ובחרבא ובעבדי קרבא בסוסון ובפרשין:
wbprshyn bswswn qrba wbebdy wbkhrba bqshtha ythprqwn wla alhhwn dyy bmymra waprqynwn arkhm yhwdh dbyth wel
But I will have mercy on the house of Judah, and will save them by Yahweh their God, and will not save them by bow, sword, battle, horses, or horsemen.”

ודריהון דאתגליאו לביני עממיא אשתכחו דלא הוו רחימין בעובדיהון ואוסיפו ועבדו עובדין בישין:
byshyn ewbdyn webdw wawsypw bewbdyhwn rkhymyn hww dla ashthkkhw emmya lbyny dathglyaw wdryhwn
Now when she had weaned Lo-Ruhamah, she conceived, and bore a son.
