ܬܬܚܝܒ ܫܡܪܝܢ ܥܠ ܕܡܪܡܪܬ ܠܐܠܗܗ ܒܚܪܒܐ ܢܦܠܘܢ ܘܝܠܘܕܝܗܘܢ ܢܫܬܩܦܘܢ ܘܒܛܢܬܗܘܢ ܢܬܦܪܬܢ

Israel, return to Yahweh your God; for you have fallen because of your sin.

ܣܒܘ ܥܠܝܟܘܢ ܡܠܐ ܘܐܬܦܢܘ ܠܘܬ ܡܪܝܐ ܐܠܗܟܘܢ ܘܐܡܪܘ ܠܗ ܕܢܫܒܘܩ ܠܟܘܢ ܥܘܠܟܘܢ ܘܩܒܠܘ ܛܒܬܐ ܘܢܦܪܘܥܟܘܢ ܦܐܪܐ ܕܣܦܘܬܟܘܢ

“I will heal their waywardness. I will love them freely; for my anger is turned away from them.

ܐܣܐ ܬܝܒܘܬܗܘܢ ܘܐܪܚܡ ܢܕܪܝܗܘܢ ܘܢܗܦܘܟ ܪܘܓܙܝ ܡܢܗܘܢ

I will be like the dew to Israel. He will blossom like the lily, and send down his roots like Lebanon.

ܘܐܗܘܐ ܐܝܟ ܛܠܐ ܠܐܝܣܪܝܠ ܘܢܦܪܥ ܐܝܟ ܫܘܫܢܬܐ ܘܢܪܡܐ ܥܩܪܘܗܝ ܐܝܟ ܕܠܒܢܢ

His branches will spread, and his beauty will be like the olive tree, and his fragrance like Lebanon.

ܘܢܫܘܚܘܢ ܥܘܦܘܗܝ ܘܢܗܘܐ ܐܝܟ ܙܝܬܐ ܕܗܕܝܪ ܒܦܐܪܘܗܝ ܘܪܝܚܗ ܐܝܟ ܕܠܒܢܢ
wnshwkhwn ewpwhy wnhw' 'yk zyth' dhdyr bp'rwhy wrykhh 'yk dlbnn
Men will dwell in his shade. They will revive like the grain, and blossom like the vine. Their fragrance will be like the wine of Lebanon.

ܢܬܒܢܘܢ ܘܢܬܒܘܢ ܒܛܠܠܗ ܘܢܚܘܢ ܡܢ ܥܒܘܪܐ ܘܢܦܪܥܘܢ ܐܝܟ ܓܦܬܐ ܘܕܘܟܪܢܗܘܢ ܐܝܟ ܚܡܪܐ ܕܠܒܢܢ
nthbnwn wnthbwn bTllh wnkhwn mn ebwr' wnprewn 'yk gpth' wdwkrnhwn 'yk khmr' dlbnn
Ephraim, what have I to do any more with idols? I answer, and will take care of him. I am like a green cypress tree; from me your fruit is found.”

ܘܢܐܡܪ ܐܦܪܝܡ ܡܐ ܠܝ ܬܘܒ ܘܠܦܬܟܪܐ ܐܢܐ ܡܟܟܬܗ ܘܐܢܐ ܐܫܒܚܝܘܗܝ ܐܝܟ ܩܛܪܩܐ ܥܒܝܛܐ ܘܡܢܝ ܐܫܬܟܚܘ ܦܐܪܝܟܝ
wn'mr 'prym m' ly thwb wlpthkr' 'n' mkkthh w'n' 'shbkhywhy 'yk qTrq' ebyT' wmny 'shthkkhw p'ryky
Who is wise, that he may understand these things? Who is prudent, that he may know them? For the ways of Yahweh are right, and the righteous walk in them, but the rebellious stumble in them.

ܡܢܘ ܕܚܟܝܡ ܢܣܬܟܠ ܗܠܝܢ ܘܕܡܬܒܝܢ ܢܫܬܘܕܥ ܐܢܝܢ ܕܬܪܝܨܢ ܐܘܪܚܬܗ ܕܡܪܝܐ ܘܙܕܝܩܐ ܡܗܠܟܝܢ ܒܗܝܢ ܘܥܘܠܐ ܡܬܬܩܠܝܢ ܒܗܝܢ
