ܬܬܚܝܒ ܫܡܪܝܢ ܥܠ ܕܡܪܡܪܬ ܠܐܠܗܗ ܒܚܪܒܐ ܢܦܠܘܢ ܘܝܠܘܕܝܗܘܢ ܢܫܬܩܦܘܢ ܘܒܛܢܬܗܘܢ ܢܬܦܪܬܢ

Israel, return to Yahweh your God; for you have fallen because of your sin.

ܐܬܦܢܝ ܐܝܣܪܝܠ ܠܘܬ ܡܪܝܐ ܐܠܗܟ ܡܛܠ ܕܐܬܬܩܠܬ ܒܥܘܠܟ

Take words with you, and return to Yahweh. Tell him, “Forgive all our sins, and accept that which is good; so we offer bulls as we vowed of our lips.

ܣܒܘ ܥܠܝܟܘܢ ܡܠܐ ܘܐܬܦܢܘ ܠܘܬ ܡܪܝܐ ܐܠܗܟܘܢ ܘܐܡܪܘ ܠܗ ܕܢܫܒܘܩ ܠܟܘܢ ܥܘܠܟܘܢ ܘܩܒܠܘ ܛܒܬܐ ܘܢܦܪܘܥܟܘܢ ܦܐܪܐ ܕܣܦܘܬܟܘܢ
dspwthkwn p'r' wnprwekwn Tbth' wqblw ewlkwn lkwn dnshbwq lh w'mrw 'lhkwn mry' lwth w'thpnw ml' elykwn sbw
Assyria can’t save us. We won’t ride on horses; neither will we say any more to the work of our hands, ‘Our gods!’ for in you the fatherless finds mercy.”

ܘܐܡܪܘ ܐܬܘܪܝܐ ܠܐ ܢܦܪܩܢ ܘܥܠ ܪܟܫܐ ܠܐ ܢܪܟܒ ܘܠܐ ܢܩܪܐ ܬܘܒ ܐܠܗܐ ܠܥܒܕ ܐܝܕܝܢ ܡܛܠ ܕܐܢܬ ܡܪܚܡ ܐܢܬ ܥܠ ܝܬܡܐ
ythm' el 'nth mrkhm d'nth mTl 'ydyn lebd 'lh' thwb nqr' wl' nrkb l' rksh' wel nprqn l' 'thwry' w'mrw
“I will heal their waywardness. I will love them freely; for my anger is turned away from them.

ܐܣܐ ܬܝܒܘܬܗܘܢ ܘܐܪܚܡ ܢܕܪܝܗܘܢ ܘܢܗܦܘܟ ܪܘܓܙܝ ܡܢܗܘܢ
mnhwn rwgzy wnhpwk ndryhwn w'rkhm thybwthhwn 's'
I will be like the dew to Israel. He will blossom like the lily, and send down his roots like Lebanon.

ܘܐܗܘܐ ܐܝܟ ܛܠܐ ܠܐܝܣܪܝܠ ܘܢܦܪܥ ܐܝܟ ܫܘܫܢܬܐ ܘܢܪܡܐ ܥܩܪܘܗܝ ܐܝܟ ܕܠܒܢܢ
dlbnn 'yk eqrwhy wnrm' shwshnth' 'yk wnpre l'ysryl Tl' 'yk w'hw'
His branches will spread, and his beauty will be like the olive tree, and his fragrance like Lebanon.

ܘܢܫܘܚܘܢ ܥܘܦܘܗܝ ܘܢܗܘܐ ܐܝܟ ܙܝܬܐ ܕܗܕܝܪ ܒܦܐܪܘܗܝ ܘܪܝܚܗ ܐܝܟ ܕܠܒܢܢ
dlbnn 'yk wrykhh bp'rwhy dhdyr zyth' 'yk wnhw' ewpwhy wnshwkhwn
Men will dwell in his shade. They will revive like the grain, and blossom like the vine. Their fragrance will be like the wine of Lebanon.

ܢܬܒܢܘܢ ܘܢܬܒܘܢ ܒܛܠܠܗ ܘܢܚܘܢ ܡܢ ܥܒܘܪܐ ܘܢܦܪܥܘܢ ܐܝܟ ܓܦܬܐ ܘܕܘܟܪܢܗܘܢ ܐܝܟ ܚܡܪܐ ܕܠܒܢܢ
dlbnn khmr' 'yk wdwkrnhwn gpth' 'yk wnprewn ebwr' mn wnkhwn bTllh wnthbwn nthbnwn
Ephraim, what have I to do any more with idols? I answer, and will take care of him. I am like a green cypress tree; from me your fruit is found.”

ܘܢܐܡܪ ܐܦܪܝܡ ܡܐ ܠܝ ܬܘܒ ܘܠܦܬܟܪܐ ܐܢܐ ܡܟܟܬܗ ܘܐܢܐ ܐܫܒܚܝܘܗܝ ܐܝܟ ܩܛܪܩܐ ܥܒܝܛܐ ܘܡܢܝ ܐܫܬܟܚܘ ܦܐܪܝܟܝ
p'ryky 'shthkkhw wmny ebyT' qTrq' 'yk 'shbkhywhy w'n' mkkthh 'n' wlpthkr' thwb ly m' 'prym wn'mr
Who is wise, that he may understand these things? Who is prudent, that he may know them? For the ways of Yahweh are right, and the righteous walk in them, but the rebellious stumble in them.
