כד ממלל חד מבית אפרים רתיתא אחיד להון לעממיא מתרברבין הוו בישראל וכדו דחבו עד דפלחו לטעותא מתקטלין:
mthqTlyn lTewtha dplkhw ed dkhbw wkdw byshral hww mthrbrbyn lemmya lhwn akhyd rthytha aprym mbyth khd mmll kd
When Ephraim spoke, there was trembling. He exalted himself in Israel, but when he became guilty through Baal, he died.

וכען מוסיפין למחטי ועבדו להון מתכא מכספהון כדמותהון צלמנין עובד אומנין כולהון להון אינון מטען נביי שקרא דבחין לעובד ידי אנשא תוריא לעגליא נכסין:
nksyn leglya thwrya ansha ydy lewbd dbkhyn shqra nbyy mTen aynwn lhwn kwlhwn awmnyn ewbd tslmnyn kdmwthhwn mksphwn mthka lhwn webdw lmkhTy mwsypyn wken
Now they sin more and more, and have made themselves molten images of their silver, even idols according to their own understanding, all of them the work of the craftsmen. They say of them, ‘They offer human sacrifice and kiss the calves.’

בכן יהון כענן צפרא וכטלא דמוהי פסיק כמוצא דנשבה רוח מאדרא וכתננא מכות נורא:
nwra mkwth wkthnna madra rwkh dnshbh kmwtsa psyq dmwhy wkTla tspra kenn yhwn bkn
Therefore they will be like the morning mist, like the dew that passes away early, like the chaff that is driven with the whirlwind out of the threshing floor, and like the smoke out of the chimney.

ואנא יי אלהך דאסקתך מארעא דמצרים ואלהא בר מני לא תדע ופריק לית אלא אנא:
ana ala lyth wpryq thde la mny br walha dmtsrym marea dasqthk alhk yy wana
“Yet I am Yahweh your God from the land of Egypt; and you shall acknowledge no god but me, and besides me there is no savior.

אנא סופקית צורכיכון במדברא בארעא דהויתון תאבין בה לכל מדעם:
mdem lkl bh thabyn dhwythwn barea bmdbra tswrkykwn swpqyth ana
I knew you in the wilderness, in the land of great drought.

כד זנתנון סבעו מסבע וראם לבהון על כן שבקו להון ית פולחני:
pwlkhny yth lhwn shbqw kn el lbhwn wram msbe sbew znthnwn kd
According to their pasture, so were they filled; they were filled, and their heart was exalted. Therefore they have forgotten me.

והוה מימרי להון כליתא כנמרא כמן על שבילא:
shbyla el kmn knmra klytha lhwn mymry whwh
Therefore I am like a lion to them. Like a leopard, I will lurk by the path.

ערע מימרי בהון כדוב מתכל ותברית רשע לבהון וקטלתנון תמן כבני אריון כחות שנא דמבזעא שצתינון:
shtsthynwn dmbzea shna kkhwth arywn kbny thmn wqTlthnwn lbhwn rshe wthbryth mthkl kdwb bhwn mymry ere
I will meet them like a bear that is bereaved of her cubs, and will tear the covering of their heart. There I will devour them like a lioness. The wild animal will tear them.

כד מחבלין אתון בית ישראל עובדיכון שלטין בכון עממיא וכד תיבון אתון לאוריתא מימרי הוה בסעדכון:
bsedkwn hwh mymry lawrytha athwn thybwn wkd emmya bkwn shlTyn ewbdykwn yshral byth athwn mkhblyn kd
You are destroyed, Israel, because you are against me, against your helper.

אן מלכך כען ויפרקנך בכל קרוך ודינך דאת אמרת מני עלי מלך ושלטון:
wshlTwn mlk ely mny amrth dath wdynk qrwk bkl wyprqnk ken mlkk an
Where is your king now, that he may save you in all your cities? And your judges, of whom you said, ‘Give me a king and princes’?

אמן עלך מלכא ברוגזי ואעדיתי בחמתי:
bkhmthy waedythy brwgzy mlka elk amn
I have given you a king in my anger, and have taken him away in my wrath.

בגנזין חובי בית אפרים נטירין לאתפרעה כל חוביהון:
khwbyhwn kl lathpreh nTyryn aprym byth khwby bgnzyn
The guilt of Ephraim is stored up. His sin is stored up.

עקא וזיע כחבלין על ילדה ייתון עלוהי הוא בר דאתרבי ולא חכים למידע דחלתי ארי כען איתי עלוהי עקא כאתתא דיתבה על מתברא וחיל לית לה למילד:
lmyld lh lyth wkhyl mthbra el dythbh kaththa eqa elwhy aythy ken ary dkhlthy lmyde khkym wla dathrby br hwa elwhy yythwn yldh el kkhblyn wzye eqa
The sorrows of a travailing woman will come on him. He is an unwise son, for when it is time, he doesn’t come to the opening of the womb.

בית ישראל מיד קטול פרקתנון וממחבלא שזבתנון כען יהי מימרי בהון לקטול ופתגמי לחבלא על דעברו על אוריתי אסלק שכנתי מנהון:
mnhwn shknthy aslq awrythy el debrw el lkhbla wpthgmy lqTwl bhwn mymry yhy ken shzbthnwn wmmkhbla prqthnwn qTwl myd yshral byth
I will ransom them from the power of Sheol. I will redeem them from death! Death, where are your plagues? Sheol, where is your destruction? “Compassion will be hidden from my eyes.

ארי אינון מתקרן בנין ועובדין מקלקלין אסגיאו כען איתי עליהון מלך תקיף כרוח קדומא במימרא דיי מאורח מדברא יסק ויחרב בית גנזוהי ויצרי קרית מלכותיה הוא יבוז אוצרין כל מני חמדתא:
khmdtha mny kl awtsryn ybwz hwa mlkwthyh qryth wytsry gnzwhy byth wykhrb ysq mdbra mawrkh dyy bmymra qdwma krwkh thqyp mlk elyhwn aythy ken asgyaw mqlqlyn wewbdyn bnyn mthqrn aynwn ary
Though he is fruitful among his brothers, an east wind will come, the breath of Yahweh coming up from the wilderness; and his spring will become dry, and his fountain will be dried up. He will plunder the storehouse of treasure.
