ארי רבי הוה ישראל ורחימתיה וממצרים קריתי להון בנין:
bnyn lhwn qrythy wmmtsrym wrkhymthyh yshral hwh rby ary
“When Israel was a child, then I loved him, and called my son out of Egypt.

שלחית נביי לאלפא להון ואינון טעו מקביל אפיהון לטעותא מדבחין ולצלמניא מסקין בוסמין:
bwsmyn msqyn wltslmnya mdbkhyn lTewtha apyhwn mqbyl Tew waynwn lhwn lalpa nbyy shlkhyth
They called to them, so they went from them. They sacrificed to the Baals, and burned incense to engraved images.

ואנא במלאך שליח מן קדמי דברית באורח תקנא לישראל ונטלתינון כדעל דרעין ולא ידעין דמן קדמי מתרחים עליהון:
elyhwn mthrkhym qdmy dmn ydeyn wla dreyn kdel wnTlthynwn lyshral thqna bawrkh dbryth qdmy mn shlykh bmlak wana
Yet I taught Ephraim to walk. I took them by their arms, but they didn’t know that I healed them.

במגדת בנין רחימין נגדתינון בתקוף רחמא והוה מימרי להון כאכרא טבא דמקיל בכתף תוריא ומוריך בלחיאתהון ואף כד הוו במדברא אסגיתי להון טובא למיכל:
lmykl Twba lhwn asgythy bmdbra hww kd wap blkhyathhwn wmwryk thwrya bkthp dmqyl Tba kakra lhwn mymry whwh rkhma bthqwp ngdthynwn rkhymyn bnyn bmgdth
I drew them with cords of a man, with ties of love; and I was to them like those who lift up the yoke on their necks; and I bent down to him and I fed him.

לא יתובון לארעא דמצרים ברם אתוראה ישלוט בהון ארי מסרבין למיתב:
lmythb msrbyn ary bhwn yshlwT athwrah brm dmtsrym larea ythwbwn la
“They won’t return into the land of Egypt; but the Assyrian will be their king, because they refused to repent.

ותחול חרבא בקרווהי ותקטיל גברוהי ותשיצי רברבוהי ממלכי עצתהון:
etsthhwn mmlky rbrbwhy wthshytsy gbrwhy wthqTyl bqrwwhy khrba wthkhwl
The sword will fall on their cities, and will destroy the bars of their gates, and will put an end to their plans.

ועמי פליגין למיתב לאוריחי ובמרועא קשיא יתערעון כחדא לא יהכון בקומא זקופה:
zqwph bqwma yhkwn la kkhda ytherewn qshya wbmrwea lawrykhy lmythb plygyn wemy
My people are determined to turn from me. Though they call to the Most High, he certainly won’t exalt them.

איכדין אמסרינך אפרים אשיצינך ישראל איכדין אבדרינך באדמה אשוינך כצבויים מתערע מימר קימי לקבלי כחדא אתגוללו רחמי:
rkhmy athgwllw kkhda lqbly qymy mymr mthere ktsbwyym ashwynk badmh abdrynk aykdyn yshral ashytsynk aprym amsrynk aykdyn
“How can I give you up, Ephraim? How can I hand you over, Israel? How can I make you like Admah? How can I make you like Zeboiim? My heart is turned within me, my compassion is aroused.

לא אעביד תקוף רוגזי ולא יתוב מימרי לחבלא בית ישראל ארי אלהא אנא מימרי לעלמא קים ולית עובדי כעובדי בסרא דדירין על ארעא כן גזרית במימרי דביניכון שכנתי קדישא ולא אחליף בקרוא אוחרי עוד ירושלם:
yrwshlm ewd awkhry bqrwa akhlyp wla qdysha shknthy dbynykwn bmymry gzryth kn area el ddyryn bsra kewbdy ewbdy wlyth qym lelma mymry ana alha ary yshral byth lkhbla mymry ythwb wla rwgzy thqwp aebyd la
I will not execute the fierceness of my anger. I will not return to destroy Ephraim, for I am God, and not man—the Holy One among you. I will not come in wrath.

בתר פולחנא דיי יהכון מימריה כאריא דמכלי ארי הוא יכלי ויתכנשון גלותא ממערבא:
mmerba glwtha wythknshwn ykly hwa ary dmkly karya mymryh yhkwn dyy pwlkhna bthr
They will walk after Yahweh, who will roar like a lion; for he will roar, and the children will come trembling from the west.

כעופא דאתי בגלי כן ייתון דגלו לארעא דמצרים וכיונה דיתבא לגו שוכבא כן יתובון דאיטלטלו לארעא דאתור ואתיבינון בשלם לבתיהון ומימרי יהי בסעדהון אמר יי:
yy amr bsedhwn yhy wmymry lbthyhwn bshlm wathybynwn dathwr larea dayTlTlw ythwbwn kn shwkba lgw dythba wkywnh dmtsrym larea dglw yythwn kn bgly dathy kewpa
They will come trembling like a bird out of Egypt, and like a dove out of the land of Assyria; and I will settle them in their houses,” says Yahweh.
