ܓܦܬܐ ܕܫܒܘܩܐ ܐܝܣܪܝܠ ܕܥܒܕܬ ܦܐܪܐ ܐܝܟ ܣܘܓܐܐ ܕܦܐܪܝܗ ܐܣܓܝܘ ܡܕܒܚܐ ܘܐܝܟ ܛܘܒܐ ܕܐܪܥܗܘܢ ܒܢܘ ܥܠܘܬܐ
elwth' bnw d'rehwn Twb' w'yk mdbkh' 'sgyw dp'ryh swg'' 'yk p'r' debdth 'ysryl dshbwq' gpth'
Israel is a luxuriant vine that produces his fruit. According to the abundance of his fruit he has multiplied his altars. As their land has prospered, they have adorned their sacred stones.

ܐܬܦܠܓ ܠܒܗܘܢ ܘܡܢ ܗܫܐ ܢܬܚܝܒܘܢ ܗܘ ܢܣܚܘܦ ܡܕܒܚܝܗܘܢ ܘܢܒܘܙ ܥܠܘܬܗܘܢ
elwthhwn wnbwz mdbkhyhwn nskhwp hw nthkhybwn hsh' wmn lbhwn 'thplg
Their heart is divided. Now they will be found guilty. He will demolish their altars. He will destroy their sacred stones.

ܡܛܘܠ ܕܡܟܝܠ ܢܐܡܪܘܢ ܠܝܬ ܠܢ ܡܠܟܐ ܡܢ ܡܪܝܐ ܠܐ ܕܚܠܢ ܡܠܟܐ ܡܢܐ ܢܥܒܕ ܠܢ

Surely now they will say, “We have no king; for we don’t fear Yahweh; and the king, what can he do for us?”

ܡܠܠܘ ܡܠܐ ܕܥܠܠܬܐ ܕܓܠܬܐ ܦܣܩܘ ܕܝܬܩܐ ܘܦܪܥܘ ܕܝܢܐ ܐܝܟ ܝܥܪܐ ܒܚܩܠܐ ܕܐܪܥܐ ܒܝܪܬܐ
byrth' d're' bkhql' yer' 'yk dyn' wprew dythq' psqw dglth' dellth' ml' mllw
They make promises, swearing falsely in making covenants. Therefore judgment springs up like poisonous weeds in the furrows of the field.

ܠܥܓܠܐ ܕܒܝܬ ܐܘܢ ܢܗܘܘܢ ܬܘܬܒܐ ܥܡܘܪܐ ܕܫܡܪܝܢ ܡܛܠ ܕܝܬܒܘ ܥܠܘܗܝ ܒܐܒܠܐ ܥܡܗ ܘܟܘܡܪܘܗܝ ܘܥܠܘܗܝ ܢܚܕܘܢ ܘܥܠ ܐܝܩܪܗ ܕܥܒܪ ܡܢܗ
mnh debr 'yqrh wel nkhdwn welwhy wkwmrwhy emh b'bl' elwhy dythbw mTl dshmryn emwr' thwthb' nhwwn 'wn dbyth legl'
The inhabitants of Samaria will be in terror for the calves of Beth Aven, for its people will mourn over it, along with its priests who rejoiced over it, for its glory, because it has departed from it.

ܘܐܦ ܠܗ ܠܐܬܘܪ ܢܘܒܠܘܢ ܩܘܪܒܢܐ ܠܡܠܟܐ ܕܝܪܒ ܒܗܬܬܐ ܢܩܒܠ ܐܦܪܝܡ ܘܐܝܣܪܝܠ ܢܒܗܬ ܒܬܪܥܝܬܗ
bthreythh nbhth w'ysryl 'prym nqbl bhthth' dyrb lmlk' qwrbn' nwblwn l'thwr lh w'p
It also will be carried to Assyria for a present to a great king. Ephraim will receive shame, and Israel will be ashamed of his own counsel.

ܫܕܬ ܫܡܪܝܢ ܡܠܟܗ ܐܝܟ ܓܠܐ ܥܠ ܐܦܝ ܡܝܐ

Samaria and her king float away like a twig on the water.

ܘܢܚܪܒܢ ܦܪܟܐ ܕܐܘܢ ܚܛܝܬܗ ܕܐܝܣܪܝܠ ܟܘܒܐ ܘܕܪܕܪܐ ܢܐܥܘܢ ܒܡܕܒܚܝܗܘܢ ܘܢܐܡܪܘܢ ܠܛܘܪܐ ܕܟܣܐܘܢ ܘܠܪܡܬܐ ܕܢܦܠܢ ܥܠܝܗܘܢ

The high places also of Aven, the sin of Israel, will be destroyed. The thorn and the thistle will come up on their altars. They will tell the mountains, “Cover us!” and the hills, “Fall on us!”

ܡܢ ܝܘܡܬܐ ܕܪܡܬܐ ܚܛܝܬ ܐܝܣܪܝܠ ܬܡܢ ܢܩܘܡܘܢ ܘܠܐ ܢܕܪܟ ܐܢܘܢ ܩܪܒܐ ܒܪܡܬܐ ܥܠ ܒܢܝܐ ܕܥܘܠܐ
dewl' bny' el brmth' qrb' 'nwn ndrk wl' nqwmwn thmn 'ysryl khTyth drmth' ywmth' mn
“Israel, you have sinned from the days of Gibeah. There they remained. The battle against the children of iniquity doesn’t overtake them in Gibeah.

ܒܟܐܬܝ ܐܪܕܐ ܐܢܘܢ ܘܢܬܟܢܫܘܢ ܥܠܝܗܘܢ ܥܡܡܐ ܡܐ ܕܡܬܪܕܝܢ ܥܠ ܬܪܬܝܗܝܢ ܣܟܠܘܬܗܘܢ
sklwthhwn thrthyhyn el dmthrdyn m' emm' elyhwn wnthknshwn 'nwn 'rd' bk'thy
When it is my desire, I will chastise them; and the nations will be gathered against them when they are bound to their two transgressions.

ܐܦܪܝܡ ܥܓܠܬܐ ܡܠܦܬܐ ܕܪܚܡܐ ܠܡܕܪܟܘ ܘܐܢܐ ܥܒܪܬ ܥܠ ܨܘܪܗ ܐܪܟܒ ܠܐܦܪܝܡ ܘܢܕܪܟ ܝܗܘܕܐ ܘܢܒܘܙ ܝܥܩܘܒ
yeqwb wnbwz yhwd' wndrk l'prym 'rkb tswrh el ebrth w'n' lmdrkw drkhm' mlpth' eglth' 'prym
Ephraim is a trained heifer that loves to thresh, so I will put a yoke on her beautiful neck. I will set a rider on Ephraim. Judah will plow. Jacob will break his clods.

ܙܪܘܥܘ ܠܟܘܢ ܙܕܝܩܘܬܐ ܘܚܨܘܕܘ ܦܘܡܗ ܕܛܝܒܘܬܐ ܐܢܗܪܘ ܠܟܘܢ ܫܪܓܐ ܡܛܘܠ ܕܙܒܢܐ ܗܘ ܠܡܒܥܝܗ ܠܡܪܝܐ ܥܕ ܐܬܐ ܘܡܚܘܐ ܠܟܘܢ ܙܕܝܩܘܬܗ
zdyqwthh lkwn wmkhw' 'th' ed lmry' lmbeyh hw dzbn' mTwl shrg' lkwn 'nhrw dTybwth' pwmh wkhtswdw zdyqwth' lkwn zrwew
Sow to yourselves in righteousness, reap according to kindness. Break up your fallow ground, for it is time to seek Yahweh, until he comes and rains righteousness on you.

ܕܒܪܬܘܢ ܚܛܝܬܐ ܘܥܘܠܐ ܘܚܨܕܬܘܢ ܘܐܟܠܬܘܢ ܦܐܪܐ ܕܕܓܠܘܬܐ ܡܛܠ ܕܐܬܬܟܠܬܘܢ ܒܐܘܪܚܬܟܘܢ ܘܒܣܘܓܐܐ ܕܓܢܒܪܘܬܟܘܢ
dgnbrwthkwn wbswg'' b'wrkhthkwn d'ththklthwn mTl ddglwth' p'r' w'klthwn wkhtsdthwn wewl' khTyth' dbrthwn
You have plowed wickedness. You have reaped iniquity. You have eaten the fruit of lies, for you trusted in your way, in the multitude of your mighty men.

ܢܩܘܡ ܐܒܕܢܐ ܒܥܡܟ ܘܟܠܗܘܢ ܟܪܟܝܟ ܢܬܒܙܘܢ ܐܝܟ ܒܙܬܐ ܕܫܠܡܐ ܡܢ ܒܝܬ ܐܝܠ ܒܝܘܡܐ ܕܩܪܒܐ ܐܡܐ ܥܠ ܒܢܝܗ ܫܩܦܘ
shqpw bnyh el 'm' dqrb' bywm' 'yl byth mn dshlm' bzth' 'yk nthbzwn krkyk wklhwn bemk 'bdn' nqwm
Therefore a battle roar will arise among your people, and all your fortresses will be destroyed, as Shalman destroyed Beth Arbel in the day of battle. The mother was dashed in pieces with her children.

ܗܟܢܐ ܥܒܕܘ ܠܟܘܢ ܒܝܬ ܐܝܠ ܡܢ ܩܕܡ ܒܝܫܘܬ ܒܝܫܘܬܟܘܢ ܒܫܦܪܐ ܬܘܪ ܘܒܗܬ ܡܠܟܐ ܕܐܝܣܪܝܠ
d'ysryl mlk' wbhth thwr bshpr' byshwthkwn byshwth qdm mn 'yl byth lkwn ebdw hkn'
So Bethel will do to you because of your great wickedness. At daybreak the king of Israel will be destroyed.
