ܡܛܠ ܗܢܐ ܢܫܒܘܩ ܫܘܪܝܐ ܕܡܠܬܗ ܕܡܫܝܚܐ ܘܢܐܬܐ ܠܓܡܝܪܘܬܐ ܐܘ ܠܡܐ ܬܘܒ ܫܬܐܣܬܐ ܐܚܪܬܐ ܡܪܡܝܬܘܢ ܠܬܝܒܘܬܐ ܡܢ ܥܒܕܐ ܡܝܬܐ ܘܠܗܝܡܢܘܬܐ ܕܒܐܠܗܐ
mTl hn' nshbwq shwry' dmlthh dmshykh' wn'th' lgmyrwth' 'w lm' thwb shth'sth' 'khrth' mrmythwn lthybwth' mn ebd' myth' wlhymnwth' db'lh'
Therefore leaving the teaching of the first principles of Christ, let us press on to perfection—not laying again a foundation of repentance from dead works, of faith toward God,

ܘܠܝܘܠܦܢܐ ܕܡܥܡܘܕܝܬܐ ܘܕܣܝܡ ܐܝܕܐ ܘܠܩܝܡܬܐ ܕܡܢ ܒܝܬ ܡܝܬܐ ܘܠܕܝܢܐ ܕܠܥܠܡ
wlywlpn' dmemwdyth' wdsym 'yd' wlqymth' dmn byth myth' wldyn' dlelm
of the teaching of baptisms, of laying on of hands, of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment.

ܐܠܐ ܠܐ ܡܫܟܚܝܢ ܗܢܘܢ ܕܚܕܐ ܙܒܢ ܠܡܥܡܘܕܝܬܐ ܢܚܬܘ ܘܛܥܡܘ ܡܘܗܒܬܐ ܕܡܢ ܫܡܝܐ ܘܢܣܒܘ ܪܘܚܐ ܕܩܘܕܫܐ
'l' l' mshkkhyn hnwn dkhd' zbn lmemwdyth' nkhthw wTemw mwhbth' dmn shmy' wnsbw rwkh' dqwdsh'
For concerning those who were once enlightened and tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Spirit,

ܘܛܥܡܘ ܡܠܬܐ ܛܒܬܐ ܕܐܠܗܐ ܘܚܝܠܐ ܕܥܠܡܐ ܕܥܬܝܕ
wTemw mlth' Tbth' d'lh' wkhyl' delm' dethyd
and tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the age to come,

ܕܬܘܒ ܢܚܛܘܢ ܕܡܢ ܕܪܝܫ ܢܬܚܕܬܘܢ ܠܬܝܒܘܬܐ ܘܡܢ ܕܪܝܫ ܢܙܩܦܘܢ ܠܒܪܗ ܕܐܠܗܐ ܘܢܨܥܪܘܢ
dthwb nkhTwn dmn drysh nthkhdthwn lthybwth' wmn drysh nzqpwn lbrh d'lh' wntserwn
and then fell away, it is impossible to renew them again to repentance; seeing they crucify the Son of God for themselves again, and put him to open shame.

ܐܪܥܐ ܓܝܪ ܕܐܫܬܝܬ ܡܛܪܐ ܕܐܬܐ ܠܗ ܙܒܢܝܢ ܣܓܝܐܢ ܘܐܘܥܝܬ ܥܣܒܐ ܕܚܫܚ ܠܗܢܘܢ ܕܡܛܠܬܗܘܢ ܡܬܦܠܚܐ ܡܩܒܠܐ ܒܘܪܟܬܐ ܡܢ ܐܠܗܐ
're' gyr d'shthyth mTr' d'th' lh zbnyn sgy'n w'weyth esb' dkhshkh lhnwn dmTlthhwn mthplkh' mqbl' bwrkth' mn 'lh'
For the land which has drunk the rain that comes often on it, and produces a crop suitable for them for whose sake it is also tilled, receives blessing from God;

ܐܢ ܗܘ ܕܝܢ ܕܬܦܩ ܩܘܪܛܒܐ ܘܕܪܕܪܐ ܗܘܝܐ ܠܗ ܡܣܠܝܬܐ ܘܠܐ ܪܚܝܩܐ ܡܢ ܠܘܛܬܐ ܐܠܐ ܚܪܬܗ ܝܩܕܢܐ ܗܘ
'n hw dyn dthpq qwrTb' wdrdr' hwy' lh mslyth' wl' rkhyq' mn lwTth' 'l' khrthh yqdn' hw
but if it bears thorns and thistles, it is rejected and near being cursed, whose end is to be burned.

ܡܦܝܣܝܢܢ ܕܝܢ ܥܠܝܟܘܢ ܐܚܝ ܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܫܦܝܪܢ ܘܩܪܝܒܢ ܠܚܝܐ ܐܦܢ ܗܟܢܐ ܡܡܠܠܝܢܢ
mpysynn dyn elykwn 'khy 'ylyn dshpyrn wqrybn lkhy' 'pn hkn' mmllynn
But, beloved, we are persuaded of better things for you, and things that accompany salvation, even though we speak like this.

ܠܐ ܗܘܐ ܓܝܪ ܥܘܠ ܐܠܗܐ ܕܢܛܥܐ ܥܒܕܝܟܘܢ ܘܚܘܒܟܘܢ ܗܘ ܕܚܘܝܬܘܢ ܒܫܡܗ ܕܫܡܫܬܘܢ ܠܩܕܝܫܐ ܘܡܫܡܫܝܬܘܢ
l' hw' gyr ewl 'lh' dnTe' ebdykwn wkhwbkwn hw dkhwythwn bshmh dshmshthwn lqdysh' wmshmshythwn
For God is not unrighteous, so as to forget your work and the labor of love which you showed toward his name, in that you served the saints, and still do serve them.

ܨܒܝܢܢ ܕܝܢ ܕܐܢܫ ܐܢܫ ܡܢܟܘܢ ܗܝ ܗܕܐ ܚܦܝܛܘܬܐ ܢܚܘܐ ܠܫܘܡܠܝܐ ܕܣܒܪܟܘܢ ܥܕܡܐ ܠܚܪܬܐ
tsbynn dyn d'nsh 'nsh mnkwn hy hd' khpyTwth' nkhw' lshwmly' dsbrkwn edm' lkhrth'
We desire that each one of you may show the same diligence to the fullness of hope even to the end,

ܘܕܠܐ ܬܬܩܛܥ ܠܟܘܢ ܐܠܐ ܕܬܗܘܘܢ ܡܡܪܝܢܐ ܠܗܢܘܢ ܕܒܗܝܡܢܘܬܐ ܘܒܢܓܝܪܘܬ ܪܘܚܐ ܗܘܘ ܝܪܬܐ ܕܡܘܠܟܢܐ
wdl' ththqTe lkwn 'l' dthhwwn mmryn' lhnwn dbhymnwth' wbngyrwth rwkh' hww yrth' dmwlkn'
that you won’t be sluggish, but imitators of those who through faith and perseverance inherited the promises.

ܠܐܒܪܗܡ ܓܝܪ ܟܕ ܡܠܟ ܠܗ ܐܠܗܐ ܡܛܠ ܕܠܝܬ ܗܘܐ ܠܗ ܕܪܒ ܡܢܗ ܕܢܐܡܐ ܒܗ ܝܡܐ ܒܢܦܫܗ

For when God made a promise to Abraham, since he could swear by no one greater, he swore by himself,

ܘܐܡܪ ܕܡܒܪܟܘ ܐܒܪܟܟ ܘܡܣܓܝܘ ܐܣܓܝܟ
w'mr dmbrkw 'brkk wmsgyw 'sgyk
saying, “Surely blessing I will bless you, and multiplying I will multiply you.”

ܘܗܟܢܐ ܐܓܪ ܪܘܚܗ ܘܩܒܠ ܡܘܠܟܢܐ
whkn' 'gr rwkhh wqbl mwlkn'
Thus, having patiently endured, he obtained the promise.

ܒܢܝܢܫܐ ܓܝܪ ܒܕܪܒ ܡܢܗܘܢ ܝܡܝܢ ܘܥܠ ܟܠ ܚܪܝܢ ܕܗܘܐ ܒܝܢܬܗܘܢ ܫܘܠܡܐ ܫܪܝܪܐ ܒܡܘܡܬܐ ܗܘܐ ܠܗ
bnynsh' gyr bdrb mnhwn ymyn wel kl khryn dhw' bynthhwn shwlm' shryr' bmwmth' hw' lh
For men indeed swear by a greater one, and in every dispute of theirs the oath is final for confirmation.

ܡܛܠ ܗܢܐ ܝܬܝܪܐܝܬ ܨܒܐ ܐܠܗܐ ܕܢܚܘܐ ܠܝܪܬܐ ܕܡܘܠܟܢܐ ܕܫܘܘܕܝܗ ܠܐ ܡܫܬܚܠܦ ܘܚܒܫܗ ܒܡܘܡܬܐ
mTl hn' ythyr'yth tsb' 'lh' dnkhw' lyrth' dmwlkn' dshwwdyh l' mshthkhlp wkhbshh bmwmth'
In this way God, being determined to show more abundantly to the heirs of the promise the immutability of his counsel, interposed with an oath;

ܕܒܬܪܬܝܢ ܨܒܘܢ ܕܠܐ ܡܫܬܚܠܦܢ ܕܠܐ ܡܫܟܚ ܐܠܗܐ ܕܢܕܓܠ ܒܗܝܢ ܒܘܝܐܐ ܪܒܐ ܢܗܘܐ ܠܢ ܕܐܬܓܘܣܢ ܒܗ ܘܢܐܚܘܕ ܣܒܪܐ ܕܡܠܝܟ ܠܢ
dbthrthyn tsbwn dl' mshthkhlpn dl' mshkkh 'lh' dndgl bhyn bwy'' rb' nhw' ln d'thgwsn bh wn'khwd sbr' dmlyk ln
that by two immutable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we may have a strong encouragement, who have fled for refuge to take hold of the hope set before us.

ܗܘ ܕܐܝܬܘܗܝ ܠܢ ܐܝܟ ܐܘܩܝܢܐ ܕܠܒܝܟ ܒܢܦܫܢ ܕܠܐ ܬܬܙܝܥ ܘܥܐܠ ܠܓܘ ܡܢ ܐܦܝ ܬܪܥܐ
hw d'ythwhy ln 'yk 'wqyn' dlbyk bnpshn dl' ththzye we'l lgw mn 'py thre'
This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, a hope both sure and steadfast and entering into that which is within the veil;

ܟܪ ܕܩܕܡ ܥܠ ܚܠܦܝܢ ܝܫܘܥ ܘܗܘܐ ܟܘܡܪܐ ܠܥܠܡ ܒܕܡܘܬܗ ܕܡܠܟܝܙܕܩ

where as a forerunner Jesus entered for us, having become a high priest forever after the order of Melchizedek.
