ܟܠ ܪܒ ܟܘܡܪܐ ܓܝܪ ܕܡܢ ܒܢܝܢܫܐ ܗܘܐ ܚܠܦ ܒܢܝܢܫܐ ܩܐܡ ܥܠ ܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܕܐܠܗܐ ܐܢܝܢ ܕܢܩܪܒ ܩܘܪܒܢܐ ܘܕܒܚܐ ܚܠܦ ܚܛܗܐ
khTh' khlp wdbkh' qwrbn' dnqrb 'nyn dd'lh' 'ylyn el q'm bnynsh' khlp hw' bnynsh' dmn gyr kwmr' rb kl
For every high priest, being taken from among men, is appointed for men in things pertaining to God, that he may offer both gifts and sacrifices for sins.

ܐܝܢܐ ܕܡܫܟܚ ܕܢܡܟ ܢܦܫܗ ܘܢܚܫ ܥܡ ܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܠܐ ܝܕܥܝܢ ܘܛܥܝܢ ܡܛܠ ܕܐܦ ܗܘ ܟܪܝܗܘܬܐ ܠܒܝܫ
lbysh kryhwth' hw d'p mTl wTeyn ydeyn dl' 'ylyn em wnkhsh npshh dnmk dmshkkh 'yn'
The high priest can deal gently with those who are ignorant and going astray, because he himself is also surrounded with weakness.

ܘܡܛܠܬܗ ܚܝܒ ܗܘ ܕܐܝܟܢܐ ܕܚܠܦ ܥܡܐ ܗܟܢܐ ܐܦ ܚܠܦ ܢܦܫܗ ܢܩܪܒ ܥܠ ܚܛܗܘܗܝ
khThwhy el nqrb npshh khlp 'p hkn' em' dkhlp d'ykn' hw khyb wmTlthh
Because of this, he must offer sacrifices for sins for the people, as well as for himself.

ܘܠܐ ܗܘܐ ܠܢܦܫܗ ܐܢܫ ܢܣܒ ܐܝܩܪܐ ܐܠܐ ܐܝܢܐ ܕܡܬܩܪܐ ܡܢ ܐܠܗܐ ܐܝܟܢܐ ܕܐܗܪܘܢ
d'hrwn 'ykn' 'lh' mn dmthqr' 'yn' 'l' 'yqr' nsb 'nsh lnpshh hw' wl'
Nobody takes this honor on himself, but he is called by God, just like Aaron was.

ܗܟܢܐ ܐܦ ܡܫܝܚܐ ܠܐ ܗܘܐ ܢܦܫܗ ܫܒܚ ܕܢܗܘܐ ܪܒ ܟܘܡܪܐ ܐܠܐ ܗܘ ܕܐܡܪ ܠܗ ܕܒܪܝ ܐܢܬ ܐܢܐ ܝܘܡܢܐ ܝܠܕܬܟ
yldthk ywmn' 'n' 'nth dbry lh d'mr hw 'l' kwmr' rb dnhw' shbkh npshh hw' l' mshykh' 'p hkn'
So also Christ didn’t glorify himself to be made a high priest, but it was he who said to him,
“You are my Son.
Today I have become your father.”

ܐܝܟ ܕܐܦ ܒܕܘܟܬܐ ܐܚܪܬܐ ܐܡܪ ܕܐܢܬ ܗܘ ܟܘܡܪܐ ܠܥܠܡ ܒܕܡܘܬܗ ܕܡܠܟܝܙܕܩ
dmlkyzdq bdmwthh lelm kwmr' hw d'nth 'mr 'khrth' bdwkth' d'p 'yk
As he says also in another place,
“You are a priest forever,
after the order of Melchizedek.”

ܐܦ ܟܕ ܒܣܪܐ ܠܒܝܫ ܗܘܐ ܒܥܘܬܐ ܘܬܟܫܦܬܐ ܒܓܥܬܐ ܚܝܠܬܢܝܬܐ ܘܒܕܡܥܐ ܩܪܒ ܗܘܐ ܠܡܢ ܕܡܫܟܚ ܗܘܐ ܡܢ ܡܘܬܐ ܕܢܚܝܘܗܝ ܘܐܫܬܡܥ
w'shthme dnkhywhy mwth' mn hw' dmshkkh lmn hw' qrb wbdme' khylthnyth' bgeth' wthkshpth' bewth' hw' lbysh bsr' kd 'p
He, in the days of his flesh, having offered up prayers and petitions with strong crying and tears to him who was able to save him from death, and having been heard for his godly fear,

ܘܟܕ ܛܒ ܒܪܐ ܐܝܬܘܗܝ ܡܢ ܕܚܠܬܐ ܘܚܫܐ ܕܣܒܠ ܝܠܦܗ ܠܡܫܬܡܥܢܘܬܐ
lmshthmenwth' ylph dsbl wkhsh' dkhlth' mn 'ythwhy br' Tb wkd
though he was a Son, yet learned obedience by the things which he suffered.

ܘܗܟܢܐ ܐܬܓܡܪ ܘܗܘܐ ܠܟܠܗܘܢ ܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܡܫܬܡܥܝܢ ܠܗ ܥܠܬܐ ܕܚܝܐ ܕܠܥܠܡ
dlelm dkhy' elth' lh dmshthmeyn 'ylyn lklhwn whw' 'thgmr whkn'
Having been made perfect, he became to all of those who obey him the author of eternal salvation,

ܘܐܫܬܡܗ ܡܢ ܐܠܗܐ ܪܒ ܟܘܡܪܐ ܒܕܡܘܬܗ ܕܡܠܟܝܙܕܩ
dmlkyzdq bdmwthh kwmr' rb 'lh' mn w'shthmh
named by God a high priest after the order of Melchizedek.

ܥܠܘܗܝ ܕܝܢ ܥܠ ܗܢܐ ܡܠܟܝܙܕܩ ܣܓܝܐܐ ܗܝ ܠܢ ܡܠܬܐ ܠܡܐܡܪܗ ܘܥܣܩܐ ܠܡܦܫܩܘܬܗ ܡܛܠ ܕܗܘܝܬܘܢ ܠܟܘܢ ܟܪܝܗܐ ܒܡܫܡܥܬܟܘܢ
bmshmethkwn kryh' lkwn dhwythwn mTl lmpshqwthh wesq' lm'mrh mlth' ln hy sgy'' mlkyzdq hn' el dyn elwhy
About him we have many words to say, and hard to interpret, seeing you have become dull of hearing.

ܚܝܒܝܢ ܗܘܝܬܘܢ ܓܝܪ ܡܠܦܢܐ ܠܡܗܘܐ ܡܛܠ ܕܙܒܢܐ ܠܟܘܢ ܒܝܘܠܦܢܐ ܗܫܐ ܕܝܢ ܬܘܒ ܣܢܝܩܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܕܬܐܠܦܘܢ ܐܝܠܝܢ ܐܢܝܢ ܟܬܝܒܬܐ ܩܕܡܝܬܐ ܕܪܝܫ ܡܠܘܗܝ ܕܐܠܗܐ ܘܗܘܝܬܘܢ ܠܟܘܢ ܣܢܝܩܐ ܥܠ ܚܠܒܐ ܘܠܐ ܥܠ ܡܐܟܘܠܬܐ ܫܪܝܪܬܐ
shryrth' m'kwlth' el wl' khlb' el snyq' lkwn whwythwn d'lh' mlwhy drysh qdmyth' kthybth' 'nyn 'ylyn dth'lpwn 'nthwn snyqyn thwb dyn hsh' bywlpn' lkwn dzbn' mTl lmhw' mlpn' gyr hwythwn khybyn
For although by this time you should be teachers, you again need to have someone teach you the rudiments of the first principles of the revelations of God. You have come to need milk, and not solid food.

ܟܠܢܫ ܕܝܢ ܕܡܐܟܘܠܬܗ ܚܠܒܐ ܗܘ ܠܐ ܡܦܣ ܒܡܠܬܐ ܕܟܐܢܘܬܐ ܡܛܠ ܕܫܒܪܐ ܗܘ
hw dshbr' mTl dk'nwth' bmlth' mps l' hw khlb' dm'kwlthh dyn klnsh
For everyone who lives on milk is not experienced in the word of righteousness, for he is a baby.
