ܢܕܚܠ ܗܟܝܠ ܕܠܡܐ ܟܕ ܩܝܡ ܡܘܠܟܢܐ ܕܡܥܠܬܐ ܕܠܢܝܚܬܗ ܢܫܬܟܚ ܐܢܫ ܡܢܟܘܢ ܕܦܐܫ ܡܢ ܕܠܡܥܠ
dlmel mn dp'sh mnkwn 'nsh nshthkkh dlnykhthh dmelth' mwlkn' qym kd dlm' hkyl ndkhl
Let us fear therefore, lest perhaps anyone of you should seem to have come short of a promise of entering into his rest.

ܐܦ ܚܢܢ ܓܝܪ ܐܣܬܒܪܢ ܐܝܟ ܕܐܦ ܗܢܘܢ ܐܠܐ ܠܐ ܐܘܬܪܬ ܐܢܘܢ ܠܗܢܘܢ ܡܠܬܐ ܕܫܡܥܘ ܡܛܠ ܕܠܐ ܡܡܙܓܐ ܗܘܬ ܒܗܝܡܢܘܬܐ ܠܗܢܘܢ ܕܫܡܥܘܗ
dshmewh lhnwn bhymnwth' hwth mmzg' dl' mTl dshmew mlth' lhnwn 'nwn 'wthrth l' 'l' hnwn d'p 'yk 'sthbrn gyr khnn 'p
For indeed we have had good news preached to us, even as they also did, but the word they heard didn’t profit them, because it wasn’t mixed with faith by those who heard.

ܥܐܠܝܢܢ ܕܝܢ ܠܢܝܚܬܐ ܚܢܢ ܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܗܝܡܢܢ ܐܝܟܢܐ ܕܝܢ ܐܡܪ ܐܝܟ ܕܝܡܝܬ ܒܪܘܓܙܝ ܕܠܐ ܢܥܠܘܢ ܠܢܝܚܬܝ ܕܗܐ ܥܒܕܘܗܝ ܕܐܠܗܐ ܡܢ ܫܘܪܝܗ ܕܥܠܡܐ ܗܘܘ
hww delm' shwryh mn d'lh' ebdwhy dh' lnykhthy nelwn dl' brwgzy dymyth 'yk 'mr dyn 'ykn' dhymnn 'ylyn khnn lnykhth' dyn e'lynn
For we who have believed do enter into that rest, even as he has said, “As I swore in my wrath, they will not enter into my rest”; although the works were finished from the foundation of the world.

ܐܝܟ ܕܐܡܪ ܥܠ ܫܒܬܐ ܕܐܬܢܝܚ ܐܠܗܐ ܒܝܘܡܐ ܫܒܝܥܝܐ ܡܢ ܥܒܕܘܗܝ ܟܠܗܘܢ
klhwn ebdwhy mn shbyey' bywm' 'lh' d'thnykh shbth' el d'mr 'yk
For he has said this somewhere about the seventh day, “God rested on the seventh day from all his works”;

ܘܗܪܟܐ ܬܘܒ ܐܡܪ ܕܠܐ ܢܥܠܘܢ ܠܢܝܚܬܝ
lnykhthy nelwn dl' 'mr thwb whrk'
and in this place again, “They will not enter into my rest.”

ܡܛܠ ܗܟܝܠ ܕܐܝܬ ܗܘܐ ܐܬܪܐ ܕܐܢܫ ܐܢܫ ܢܥܘܠ ܠܗ ܘܗܢܘܢ ܕܐܣܬܒܪܘ ܩܕܡܝܐ ܠܐ ܥܠܘ ܒܕܠܐ ܐܬܛܦܝܣܘ

Seeing therefore it remains that some should enter into it, and they to whom the good news was preached before failed to enter in because of disobedience,

ܬܘܒ ܝܘܡܐ ܐܚܪܢܐ ܣܐܡ ܡܢ ܒܬܪ ܙܒܢܐ ܣܓܝܐܐ ܐܝܟܢܐ ܕܡܢ ܠܥܠ ܟܬܝܒ ܕܐܡܪ ܕܘܝܕ ܕܝܘܡܢܐ ܐܢ ܒܩܠܗ ܬܫܡܥܘܢ ܠܐ ܬܩܫܘܢ ܠܒܘܬܟܘܢ
lbwthkwn thqshwn l' thshmewn bqlh 'n dywmn' dwyd d'mr kthyb lel dmn 'ykn' sgy'' zbn' bthr mn s'm 'khrn' ywm' thwb
he again defines a certain day, today, saying through David so long a time afterward (just as has been said),
“Today if you will hear his voice,
don’t harden your hearts.”

ܐܠܘ ܓܝܪ ܝܫܘܥ ܒܪ ܢܘܢ ܐܢܝܚ ܗܘܐ ܐܢܘܢ ܠܐ ܐܡܪ ܗܘܐ ܡܢ ܒܬܪܟܢ ܥܠ ܝܘܡܐ ܐܚܪܢܐ
'khrn' ywm' el bthrkn mn hw' 'mr l' 'nwn hw' 'nykh nwn br yshwe gyr 'lw
For if Joshua had given them rest, he would not have spoken afterward of another day.

ܡܕܝܢ ܩܝܡ ܗܘ ܠܡܫܒܬܘ ܠܥܡܗ ܕܐܠܗܐ
d'lh' lemh lmshbthw hw qym mdyn
There remains therefore a Sabbath rest for the people of God.

ܐܝܢܐ ܓܝܪ ܕܥܠ ܠܢܝܚܬܗ ܐܬܬܢܝܚ ܐܦ ܗܘ ܡܢ ܥܒܕܘܗܝ ܐܝܟ ܕܐܠܗܐ ܡܢ ܕܝܠܗ
dylh mn d'lh' 'yk ebdwhy mn hw 'p 'ththnykh lnykhthh del gyr 'yn'
For he who has entered into his rest has himself also rested from his works, as God did from his.

ܢܬܚܦܛ ܗܟܝܠ ܕܢܥܘܠ ܠܗܝ ܢܝܚܬܐ ܕܠܐ ܢܦܠ ܒܕܡܘܬܐ ܕܗܢܘܢ ܕܠܐ ܐܬܛܦܝܣܘ
'thTpysw dl' dhnwn bdmwth' npl dl' nykhth' lhy dnewl hkyl nthkhpT
Let us therefore give diligence to enter into that rest, lest anyone fall after the same example of disobedience.

ܚܝܐ ܗܝ ܓܝܪ ܡܠܬܗ ܕܐܠܗܐ ܘܟܠ ܣܥܪܐ ܘܚܪܝܦܐ ܛܒ ܡܢ ܣܦܣܪܐ ܕܬܪܝܢ ܦܘܡܝܗ ܘܥܐܠܐ ܥܕܡܐ ܠܦܘܪܫܢܐ ܕܢܦܫܐ ܘܕܪܘܚܐ ܘܕܫܪܝܬܐ ܘܕܡܘܚܐ ܘܕܓܪܡܐ ܘܕܝܢܐ ܡܚܫܒܬܐ ܘܬܪܥܝܬܐ ܕܠܒܐ
dlb' wthreyth' mkhshbth' wdyn' wdgrm' wdmwkh' wdshryth' wdrwkh' dnpsh' lpwrshn' edm' we'l' pwmyh dthryn spsr' mn Tb wkhryp' ser' wkl d'lh' mlthh gyr hy khy'
For the word of God is living and active, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and is able to discern the thoughts and intentions of the heart.

ܘܠܝܬ ܒܪܝܬܐ ܕܛܫܝܐ ܡܢ ܩܕܡܝܗ ܐܠܐ ܟܠ ܡܕܡ ܥܪܛܠ ܘܓܠܐ ܩܕܡ ܥܝܢܘܗܝ ܕܠܗ ܝܗܒܝܢܢ ܦܬܓܡܐ
pthgm' yhbynn dlh eynwhy qdm wgl' erTl mdm kl 'l' qdmyh mn dTshy' bryth' wlyth
There is no creature that is hidden from his sight, but all things are naked and laid open before the eyes of him to whom we must give an account.

ܡܛܠ ܕܐܝܬ ܠܢ ܗܟܝܠ ܪܒ ܟܘܡܪܐ ܪܒܐ ܝܫܘܥ ܡܫܝܚܐ ܒܪܗ ܕܐܠܗܐ ܕܣܠܩ ܠܫܡܝܐ ܢܚܡܣܢ ܒܬܘܕܝܬܗ
bthwdythh nkhmsn lshmy' dslq d'lh' brh mshykh' yshwe rb' kwmr' rb hkyl ln d'yth mTl
Having then a great high priest, who has passed through the heavens, Jesus, the Son of God, let us hold tightly to our confession.

ܠܐ ܓܝܪ ܐܝܬ ܠܢ ܪܒܟܘܡܪܐ ܕܠܐ ܡܨܐ ܕܢܚܫ ܥܡ ܟܪܝܗܘܬܢ ܐܠܐ ܕܡܢܣܝ ܒܟܠܡܕܡ ܐܟܘܬܢ ܣܛܪ ܡܢ ܚܛܝܬܐ
khTyth' mn sTr 'kwthn bklmdm dmnsy 'l' kryhwthn em dnkhsh mts' dl' rbkwmr' ln 'yth gyr l'
For we don’t have a high priest who can’t be touched with the feeling of our infirmities, but one who has been in all points tempted like we are, yet without sin.

ܢܬܩܪܒ ܗܟܝܠ ܒܓܠܐ ܥܝܢ ܠܟܘܪܣܝܐ ܕܛܝܒܘܬܗ ܕܢܣܒ ܪܚܡܐ ܘܢܫܟܚ ܛܝܒܘܬܐ ܠܥܘܕܪܢܐ ܒܙܒܢܐ ܕܐܘܠܨܢܐ
d'wltsn' bzbn' lewdrn' Tybwth' wnshkkh rkhm' dnsb dTybwthh lkwrsy' eyn bgl' hkyl nthqrb
Let us therefore draw near with boldness to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy, and may find grace for help in time of need.
