אמר נביא על מטרתי אנא קאים עתיד משמש על מצודתי ומסכינא למחזי מה יתמליל עמי ומה אתותב על בעותי:
bewthy el athwthb wmh emy ythmlyl mh lmkhzy wmskyna mtswdthy el mshmsh ethyd qaym ana mTrthy el nbya amr
I will stand at my watch and set myself on the ramparts, and will look out to see what he will say to me, and what I will answer concerning my complaint.

ואתותבית מן קדם יי ואמר כתיבא נבואתא ומפרשא על ספרא דאוריתא בדיל דיוחי למחכם מן דקרי ביה:
byh dqry mn lmkhkm dywkhy bdyl dawrytha spra el wmprsha nbwatha kthyba wamr yy qdm mn wathwthbyth
Yahweh answered me, “Write the vision, and make it plain on tablets, that he who runs may read it.

ארי עתידא נבואתא לזמן ומתקן קצא ולא יבטיל אם יהי ארכא לפתגמא סברו לה ארי בזמניה ייתי ולא יתעכב:
ythekb wla yythy bzmnyh ary lh sbrw lpthgma arka yhy am ybTyl wla qtsa wmthqn lzmn nbwatha ethyda ary
For the vision is yet for the appointed time, and it hurries toward the end, and won’t prove false. Though it takes time, wait for it, because it will surely come. It won’t delay.

הא רשיעיא אמרין לית כל אלין וצדיקיא על קושטהון יתקימון:
ythqymwn qwshThwn el wtsdyqya alyn kl lyth amryn rshyeya ha
Behold, his soul is puffed up. It is not upright in him, but the righteous will live by his faith.

ואף הא כטעי בחמר גבר יהיר ברשע ולא יתקים דאפתי כשאול נפשיה והוא כמותא ולא שבע וכנש לותיה כל עממיא וקריב לותיה כל מלכותא:
mlkwtha kl lwthyh wqryb emmya kl lwthyh wknsh shbe wla kmwtha whwa npshyh kshawl dapthy ythqym wla brshe yhyr gbr bkhmr kTey ha wap
Yes, moreover, wine is treacherous: an arrogant man who doesn’t stay at home, who enlarges his desire as Sheol; he is like death and can’t be satisfied, but gathers to himself all nations and heaps to himself all peoples.

הלא אלין כולהון עלוהי מתלן יטלון ושועי חודין יימרון ליה ויימר וי דמסגי נכסין דלא דיליה עד אימתי את מתקף עלך תקוף חובין:
khwbyn thqwp elk mthqp ath aymthy ed dylyh dla nksyn dmsgy wy wyymr lyh yymrwn khwdyn wshwey yTlwn mthln elwhy kwlhwn alyn hla
Won’t all these take up a parable against him, and a taunting proverb against him, and say, ‘Woe to him who increases that which is not his, and who enriches himself by extortion! How long?’

הלא בתכיף יקומון אנסך ויתגלון מזעזעך ותהי לעדי להון:
lhwn ledy wthhy mzezek wythglwn ansk yqwmwn bthkyp hla
Won’t your debtors rise up suddenly, and wake up those who make you tremble, and you will be their victim?

ארי את בזתא עממין סגיאין יבזונך כל שאר שבטיא מדמי אנשא וחטוף ארעא דישראל קרתא ירושלם וכל דיתבין בה:
bh dythbyn wkl yrwshlm qrtha dyshral area wkhTwp ansha mdmy shbTya shar kl ybzwnk sgyayn emmyn bztha ath ary
Because you have plundered many nations, all the remnant of the peoples will plunder you because of men’s blood, and for the violence done to the land, to the city and to all who dwell in it.

וי דאניס ממון דרשע לביתיה לשואה במרומא מדוריה לאשתיזבא מיד ביש:
bysh myd lashthyzba mdwryh bmrwma lshwah lbythyh drshe mmwn danys wy
Woe to him who gets an evil gain for his house, that he may set his nest on high, that he may be delivered from the hand of evil!

מלכתא בהתא לביתך בזתא עממין סגיאין ועל נפשך חטיתא:
khTytha npshk wel sgyayn emmyn bztha lbythk bhtha mlktha
You have devised shame to your house by cutting off many peoples, and have sinned against your soul.

ארי אבנא מכתלא צוחא על דאניס ליה ושפא מגו מרישא עני ליה:
lyh eny mrysha mgw wshpa lyh danys el tswkha mkthla abna ary
For the stone will cry out of the wall, and the beam out of the woodwork will answer it.

וי דבני קרתא בדם אשיד ומשכליל קריא בנכלין:
bnklyn qrya wmshklyl ashyd bdm qrtha dbny wy
Woe to him who builds a town with blood, and establishes a city by iniquity!
13
הא מחן תקיפן וחסינן אתין מן קדם יי צבאות וליאות עממיא תקיפין כאשתא ומלכותא לריקנו ישתלהין:
yshthlhyn lryqnw wmlkwtha kashtha thqypyn emmya wlyawth tsbawth yy qdm mn athyn wkhsynn thqypn mkhn ha
Behold, isn’t it from Yahweh of Armies that the peoples labor for the fire, and the nations weary themselves for vanity?

ארי תתמלי ארעא למידע ית דחלתא דיי כמיא די לימא חפן:
khpn lyma dy kmya dyy dkhltha yth lmyde area ththmly ary
For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of Yahweh’s glory, as the waters cover the sea.
15
וי דמשקי לחבריה וזליף ביחמא בדיל דישתי ויתרוי ויתגלי קלניה:
qlnyh wythgly wythrwy dyshthy bdyl bykhma wzlyp lkhbryh dmshqy wy
“Woe to him who gives his neighbor drink, pouring your inflaming wine until they are drunk, so that you may gaze at their naked bodies!

שבעת קלנא מן יקרא תשתי אף את ואתערטל יסתחר עלך כס דלוט מן קדם יי וייתי קלנא על יקרך:
yqrk el qlna wyythy yy qdm mn dlwT ks elk ysthkhr watherTl ath ap thshthy yqra mn qlna shbeth
You are filled with shame, and not glory. You will also drink and be exposed! The cup of Yahweh’s right hand will come around to you, and disgrace will cover your glory.

ארי חטוף בית מקדשא יחפינך ובזת עמיה תתברינך מדמי אנשא וחטוף ארעא דישראל קרתא ירושלם וכל דיתבין בה:
bh dythbyn wkl yrwshlm qrtha dyshral area wkhTwp ansha mdmy ththbrynk emyh wbzth ykhpynk mqdsha byth khTwp ary
For the violence done to Lebanon will overwhelm you, and the destruction of the animals will terrify you, because of men’s blood and for the violence done to the land, to every city and to those who dwell in them.

מא אהני צלמא ארי אתכיה עבדי מתכא ודחלת שקר ארי אתרחיץ לבא דעבדיה עלוהי למעבד טעון דלית בהו צרוך:
tsrwk bhw dlyth Tewn lmebd elwhy debdyh lba athrkhyts ary shqr wdkhlth mthka ebdy athkyh ary tslma ahny ma
“What value does the engraved image have, that its maker has engraved it; the molten image, even the teacher of lies, that he who fashions its form trusts in it, to make mute idols?

וי די אמר לצלם אעא קום ולדחלת אבנא אתערי והיא שתקא ודמיא הוא מכלי הא הוא מחפי דהב וכסף וכל רוח לית במעוהי:
bmewhy lyth rwkh wkl wksp dhb mkhpy hwa ha mkly hwa wdmya shthqa whya athery abna wldkhlth qwm aea ltslm amr dy wy
Woe to him who says to the wood, ‘Awake!’ or to the mute stone, ‘Arise!’ Shall this teach? Behold, it is overlaid with gold and silver, and there is no breath at all within it.
