והוה בתר פתגמיא האלין ואמר ליוסף הא אבוך שכיב מרע ודבר ית תרין בנוהי עמיה ית מנשה וית אפרים:
aprym wyth mnshh yth emyh bnwhy thryn yth wdbr mre shkyb abwk ha lywsp wamr halyn pthgmya bthr whwh
After these things, someone said to Joseph, “Behold, your father is sick.” He took with him his two sons, Manasseh and Ephraim.

וחוי ליעקב ואמר הא ברך יוסף אתא לותך ואתקף ישראל ויתיב על ערסא:
ersa el wythyb yshral wathqp lwthk atha ywsp brk ha wamr lyeqb wkhwy
Someone told Jacob, and said, “Behold, your son Joseph comes to you,” and Israel strengthened himself, and sat on the bed.

ואמר יעקב ליוסף אל שדי אתגלי לי בלוז בארעא דכנען ובריך יתי:
ythy wbryk dknen barea blwz ly athgly shdy al lywsp yeqb wamr
Jacob said to Joseph, “God Almighty appeared to me at Luz in the land of Canaan, and blessed me,

ואמר לי הא אנא מפיש לך ואסגנך ואתננך לכנשת שבטין ואתן ית ארעא הדא לבנך בתרך אחסנת עלם:
elm akhsnth bthrk lbnk hda area yth wathn shbTyn lknshth wathnnk wasgnk lk mpysh ana ha ly wamr
and said to me, ‘Behold, I will make you fruitful, and multiply you, and I will make of you a company of peoples, and will give this land to your offspring after you for an everlasting possession.’

וכען תרין בנך דאתילידו לך בארעא דמצרים עד מיתי לותך למצרים דילי אנון אפרים ומנשה כראובן ושמעון יהון קדמי:
qdmy yhwn wshmewn krawbn wmnshh aprym anwn dyly lmtsrym lwthk mythy ed dmtsrym barea lk dathylydw bnk thryn wken
Now your two sons, who were born to you in the land of Egypt before I came to you into Egypt, are mine; Ephraim and Manasseh, even as Reuben and Simeon, will be mine.

ובנך די תוליד בתריהון דילך יהון על שום אחוהון יתקרון באחסנתהון:
bakhsnthhwn ythqrwn akhwhwn shwm el yhwn dylk bthryhwn thwlyd dy wbnk
Your offspring, whom you become the father of after them, will be yours. They will be called after the name of their brothers in their inheritance.

ואנא במיתי מפדן מיתת עלי רחל בארעא דכנען בארחא בעוד כרובא דארעא למיעל לאפרת וקברתה תמן בארח אפרת היא בית לחם:
lkhm byth hya aprth barkh thmn wqbrthh laprth lmyel darea krwba bewd barkha dknen barea rkhl ely mythth mpdn bmythy wana
As for me, when I came from Paddan, Rachel died beside me in the land of Canaan on the way, when there was still some distance to come to Ephrath, and I buried her there on the way to Ephrath (also called Bethlehem).”

וחזא ישראל ית בני יוסף ואמר מן אלין:
alyn mn wamr ywsp bny yth yshral wkhza
Israel saw Joseph’s sons, and said, “Who are these?”

ואמר יוסף לאבוהי בני אנון דיהב לי יי הכא ואמר קרבנון כען לותי ואברכנון:
wabrknwn lwthy ken qrbnwn wamr hka yy ly dyhb anwn bny labwhy ywsp wamr
Joseph said to his father, “They are my sons, whom God has given me here.” He said, “Please bring them to me, and I will bless them.”

ועיני ישראל יקרן מסיבו לא יכול למחזי וקריב יתהון לותיה ונשיק להון וגפיף להון:
lhwn wgpyp lhwn wnshyq lwthyh ythhwn wqryb lmkhzy ykwl la msybw yqrn yshral weyny
Now the eyes of Israel were dim for age, so that he couldn’t see well. Joseph brought them near to him; and he kissed them, and embraced them.

ואמר ישראל ליוסף למחזי אפיך לא סברית והא אחזי יתי יי אף ית בנך:
bnk yth ap yy ythy akhzy wha sbryth la apyk lmkhzy lywsp yshral wamr
Israel said to Joseph, “I didn’t think I would see your face, and behold, God has let me see your offspring also.”

ואפיק יוסף יתהון מן קדמוהי וסגיד על אפוהי על ארעא:
area el apwhy el wsgyd qdmwhy mn ythhwn ywsp wapyq
Joseph brought them out from between his knees, and he bowed himself with his face to the earth.

ודבר יוסף ית תרויהון ית אפרים בימיניה מסמאלא דישראל וית מנשה בסמאליה מימינא דישראל וקריב לותיה:
lwthyh wqryb dyshral mymyna bsmalyh mnshh wyth dyshral msmala bymynyh aprym yth thrwyhwn yth ywsp wdbr
Joseph took them both, Ephraim in his right hand toward Israel’s left hand, and Manasseh in his left hand toward Israel’s right hand, and brought them near to him.

ואושיט ישראל ית ימיניה ושוי על רישא דאפרים והוא זעירא וית סמאליה על רישא דמנשה אחכימנון לידוהי ארי מנשה בוכרא:
bwkra mnshh ary lydwhy akhkymnwn dmnshh rysha el smalyh wyth zeyra whwa daprym rysha el wshwy ymynyh yth yshral wawshyT
Israel stretched out his right hand, and laid it on Ephraim’s head, who was the younger, and his left hand on Manasseh’s head, guiding his hands knowingly, for Manasseh was the firstborn.

ובריך ית יוסף ואמר יי די פלחו אבהתי קדמוהי אברהם ויצחק יי דזן יתי מדאיתני עד יומא הדין:
hdyn ywma ed mdaythny ythy dzn yy wytskhq abrhm qdmwhy abhthy plkhw dy yy wamr ywsp yth wbryk
He blessed Joseph, and said, “The God before whom my fathers Abraham and Isaac walked, the God who has fed me all my life long to this day,

מלאכא די פרק יתי מכל בישא יברך ית עולימיא ויתקרי בהון שמי ושום אבהתי אברהם ויצחק וכנוני ימא יסגון בגו בני אנשא על ארעא:
area el ansha bny bgw ysgwn yma wknwny wytskhq abrhm abhthy wshwm shmy bhwn wythqry ewlymya yth ybrk bysha mkl ythy prq dy mlaka
the angel who has redeemed me from all evil, bless the lads, and let my name be named on them, and the name of my fathers Abraham and Isaac. Let them grow into a multitude upon the earth.”

וחזא יוסף ארי שוי אבוהי יד ימיניה על רישא דאפרים ובאיש בעינוהי וסעד ידא דאבוהי לאעדאה יתה מעל רישא דאפרים לאנחותה על רישא דמנשה:
dmnshh rysha el lankhwthh daprym rysha mel ythh laedah dabwhy yda wsed beynwhy wbaysh daprym rysha el ymynyh yd abwhy shwy ary ywsp wkhza
When Joseph saw that his father laid his right hand on the head of Ephraim, it displeased him. He held up his father’s hand, to remove it from Ephraim’s head to Manasseh’s head.

ואמר יוסף לאבוהי לא כן אבא ארי דין בוכרא שו ימינך על רישיה:
ryshyh el ymynk shw bwkra dyn ary aba kn la labwhy ywsp wamr
Joseph said to his father, “Not so, my father, for this is the firstborn. Put your right hand on his head.”

וסריב אבוהי ואמר ידענא ברי ידענא אף הוא יהי לעמא ואף הוא יסגי וברם אחוהי זעירא יסגי מניה ובנוהי יהון שליטין בעממיא:
bemmya shlyTyn yhwn wbnwhy mnyh ysgy zeyra akhwhy wbrm ysgy hwa wap lema yhy hwa ap ydena bry ydena wamr abwhy wsryb
His father refused, and said, “I know, my son, I know. He also will become a people, and he also will be great. However, his younger brother will be greater than he, and his offspring will become a multitude of nations.”

ובריכנון ביומא ההוא למימר בך יברך ישראל למימר ישוינך יי כאפרים וכמנשה ושוי ית אפרים קדם מנשה:
mnshh qdm aprym yth wshwy wkmnshh kaprym yy yshwynk lmymr yshral ybrk bk lmymr hhwa bywma wbryknwn
He blessed them that day, saying, “Israel will bless in your name, saying, ‘God make you as Ephraim and as Manasseh’” He set Ephraim before Manasseh.

ואמר ישראל ליוסף הא אנא מאית ויהי מימרא דיי בסעדכון ויתיב יתכון לארעא דאבהתכון:
dabhthkwn larea ythkwn wythyb bsedkwn dyy mymra wyhy mayth ana ha lywsp yshral wamr
Israel said to Joseph, “Behold, I am dying, but God will be with you, and bring you again to the land of your fathers.
