ונטל ישראל וכל די ליה ואתא לבאר שבע ודבח דבחין לאלהה אבוהי יצחק:

Israel traveled with all that he had, and came to Beersheba, and offered sacrifices to the God of his father, Isaac.

ואמר יי לישראל בחזוי דליליא ואמר יעקב יעקב ואמר הא אנא:
ana ha wamr yeqb yeqb wamr dlylya bkhzwy lyshral yy wamr
God spoke to Israel in the visions of the night, and said, “Jacob, Jacob!” He said, “Here I am.”

ואמר אנא אל אלהא דאבוך לא תדחל מלמיחת למצרים ארי לעם סגי אשונך תמן:
thmn ashwnk sgy lem ary lmtsrym mlmykhth thdkhl la dabwk alha al ana wamr
He said, “I am God, the God of your father. Don’t be afraid to go down into Egypt, for there I will make of you a great nation.

אנא אחות עמך למצרים ואנא אסקנך אף אסקא ויוסף ישוי ידוהי על עיניך:
eynyk el ydwhy yshwy wywsp asqa ap asqnk wana lmtsrym emk akhwth ana
I will go down with you into Egypt. I will also surely bring you up again. Joseph’s hand will close your eyes.”

וקם יעקב מבארא דשבע ונטלו בני ישראל ית יעקב אבוהון וית טפלהון וית נשיהון בעגלתא די שלח פרעה למטל יתיה:

Jacob rose up from Beersheba, and the sons of Israel carried Jacob, their father, their little ones, and their wives, in the wagons which Pharaoh had sent to carry him.

ודברו ית גיתיהון וית קנינהון די קנו בארעא דכנען ואתו למצרים יעקב וכל בנוהי עמיה:
emyh bnwhy wkl yeqb lmtsrym wathw dknen barea qnw dy qnynhwn wyth gythyhwn yth wdbrw
They took their livestock, and their goods, which they had gotten in the land of Canaan, and came into Egypt—Jacob, and all his offspring with him,

בנוהי ובני בנוהי עמיה בנתיה ובנת בנוהי וכל זרעיה אעיל עמיה למצרים:
lmtsrym emyh aeyl zreyh wkl bnwhy wbnth bnthyh emyh bnwhy wbny bnwhy
his sons, and his sons’ sons with him, his daughters, and his sons’ daughters, and he brought all his offspring with him into Egypt.

ואלין שמהת בני ישראל דעלו למצרים יעקב ובנוהי בוכרא דיעקב ראובן:
rawbn dyeqb bwkra wbnwhy yeqb lmtsrym delw yshral bny shmhth walyn
These are the names of the children of Israel, who came into Egypt, Jacob and his sons: Reuben, Jacob’s firstborn.

ובני ראובן חנוך ופלוא וחצרן וכרמי:
wkrmy wkhtsrn wplwa khnwk rawbn wbny
The sons of Reuben: Hanoch, Pallu, Hezron, and Carmi.

ובני שמעון ימואל וימין ואהד ויכין וצחר ושאול בר כנעניתא:
knenytha br wshawl wtskhr wykyn wahd wymyn ymwal shmewn wbny
The sons of Simeon: Jemuel, Jamin, Ohad, Jachin, Zohar, and Shaul the son of a Canaanite woman.

ובני לוי גרשון קהת ומררי:
wmrry qhth grshwn lwy wbny
The sons of Levi: Gershon, Kohath, and Merari.

ובני יהודה ער ואונן ושלה ופרץ וזרח ומית ער ואונן בארעא דכנען והוו בני פרץ חצרן וחמול:
wkhmwl khtsrn prts bny whww dknen barea wawnn er wmyth wzrkh wprts wshlh wawnn er yhwdh wbny
The sons of Judah: Er, Onan, Shelah, Perez, and Zerah; but Er and Onan died in the land of Canaan. The sons of Perez were Hezron and Hamul.

ובני יששכר תולע ופוה ויוב ושמרון:
wshmrwn wywb wpwh thwle yshshkr wbny
The sons of Issachar: Tola, Puvah, Iob, and Shimron.

ובני זבלון סרד ואלון ויחלאל:
wykhlal walwn srd zblwn wbny
The sons of Zebulun: Sered, Elon, and Jahleel.

אלין בני לאה דילידת ליעקב בפדן ארם וית דינה ברתה כל נפש בנוהי ובנתיה תלתין ותלת:
wthlth thlthyn wbnthyh bnwhy npsh kl brthh dynh wyth arm bpdn lyeqb dylydth lah bny alyn
These are the sons of Leah, whom she bore to Jacob in Paddan Aram, with his daughter Dinah. All the souls of his sons and his daughters were thirty-three.

ובני גד צפיון וחגי שוני ואצבון ערי וארודי ואראלי:
waraly warwdy ery watsbwn shwny wkhgy tspywn gd wbny
The sons of Gad: Ziphion, Haggi, Shuni, Ezbon, Eri, Arodi, and Areli.

ובני אשר ימנה וישוה וישוי ובריעה ושרח אחתהון ובני בריעה חבר ומלכיאל:
wmlkyal khbr bryeh wbny akhthhwn wshrkh wbryeh wyshwy wyshwh ymnh ashr wbny
The sons of Asher: Imnah, Ishvah, Ishvi, Beriah, and Serah their sister. The sons of Beriah: Heber and Malchiel.

אלין בני זלפה דיהב לבן ללאה ברתיה וילידת ית אלין ליעקב שית עשרי נפשא:
npsha eshry shyth lyeqb alyn yth wylydth brthyh llah lbn dyhb zlph bny alyn
These are the sons of Zilpah, whom Laban gave to Leah, his daughter, and these she bore to Jacob, even sixteen souls.

בני רחל אתת יעקב יוסף ובנימן:
wbnymn ywsp yeqb athth rkhl bny
The sons of Rachel, Jacob’s wife: Joseph and Benjamin.
20
ואתילידו ליוסף בארעא דמצרים דילידת לה אסנת בת פוטי פרע רבא דאון ית מנשה וית אפרים:
aprym wyth mnshh yth dawn rba pre pwTy bth asnth lh dylydth dmtsrym barea lywsp wathylydw
To Joseph in the land of Egypt were born Manasseh and Ephraim, whom Asenath, the daughter of Potiphera, priest of On, bore to him.

ובני בנימן בלע ובכר ואשבל גרא ונעמן אחי וראש מפים וחפים וארד:
ward wkhpym mpym wrash akhy wnemn gra washbl wbkr ble bnymn wbny
The sons of Benjamin: Bela, Becher, Ashbel, Gera, Naaman, Ehi, Rosh, Muppim, Huppim, and Ard.

אלין בני רחל דאתילידו ליעקב כל נפשא ארבעה עשר:
eshr arbeh npsha kl lyeqb dathylydw rkhl bny alyn
These are the sons of Rachel, who were born to Jacob: all the souls were fourteen.

ובני נפתלי יחצאל וגוני ויצר ושלם:
wshlm wytsr wgwny ykhtsal npthly wbny
The sons of Naphtali: Jahzeel, Guni, Jezer, and Shillem.
25
אלין בני בלהה דיהב לבן לרחל ברתיה וילידת ית אלין ליעקב כל נפשא שבעא:
shbea npsha kl lyeqb alyn yth wylydth brthyh lrkhl lbn dyhb blhh bny alyn
These are the sons of Bilhah, whom Laban gave to Rachel, his daughter, and these she bore to Jacob: all the souls were seven.
26
כל נפשא דעלא ליעקב למצרים נפקי ירכיה בר מנשי בני יעקב כל נפשתא שתין ושית:
wshyth shthyn npshtha kl yeqb bny mnshy br yrkyh npqy lmtsrym lyeqb dela npsha kl
All the souls who came with Jacob into Egypt, who were his direct offspring, in addition to Jacob’s sons’ wives, all the souls were sixty-six.
27
ובני יוסף די אתילידו ליה במצרים נפשתא תרין כל נפשתא לבית יעקב דעלו למצרים שבעין:
shbeyn lmtsrym delw yeqb lbyth npshtha kl thryn npshtha bmtsrym lyh athylydw dy ywsp wbny
The sons of Joseph, who were born to him in Egypt, were two souls. All the souls of the house of Jacob, who came into Egypt, were seventy.
28
וית יהודה שלח קדמוהי לות יוסף לפנאה קדמוהי לגשן ואתו לארעא דגשן:
dgshn larea wathw lgshn qdmwhy lpnah ywsp lwth qdmwhy shlkh yhwdh wyth
Jacob sent Judah before him to Joseph, to show the way before him to Goshen, and they came into the land of Goshen.

וטקיס יוסף רתכוהי וסליק לקדמות ישראל אבוהי לגשן ואתגלי ליה ונפל על צוריה ובכא על צוריה עוד:
ewd tswryh el wbka tswryh el wnpl lyh wathgly lgshn abwhy yshral lqdmwth wslyq rthkwhy ywsp wTqys
Joseph prepared his chariot, and went up to meet Israel, his father, in Goshen. He presented himself to him, and fell on his neck, and wept on his neck a good while.

ואמר ישראל ליוסף אלו אנא מית זמנא הדא מנחם אנא בתר דחזיתי ית אפיך ארי עד כען את קים:
qym ath ken ed ary apyk yth dkhzythy bthr ana mnkhm hda zmna myth ana alw lywsp yshral wamr
Israel said to Joseph, “Now let me die, since I have seen your face, that you are still alive.”

ואמר יוסף לאחוהי ולבית אבוהי אסק ואחוי לפרעה ואימר ליה אחי ובית אבא די בארעא דכנען עלו לותי:
lwthy elw dknen barea dy aba wbyth akhy lyh waymr lpreh wakhwy asq abwhy wlbyth lakhwhy ywsp wamr
Joseph said to his brothers, and to his father’s house, “I will go up, and speak with Pharaoh, and will tell him, ‘My brothers, and my father’s house, who were in the land of Canaan, have come to me.

וגבריא רעי ענא ארי גברי מרי גיתי הוו וענהון ותורהון וכל די להון איתיאו:
aythyaw lhwn dy wkl wthwrhwn wenhwn hww gythy mry gbry ary ena rey wgbrya
These men are shepherds, for they have been keepers of livestock, and they have brought their flocks, and their herds, and all that they have.’
33
ויהי ארי יקרי לכון פרעה ויימר מה עובדיכון:
ewbdykwn mh wyymr preh lkwn yqry ary wyhy
It will happen, when Pharaoh summons you, and will say, ‘What is your occupation?’

ותימרון גברי מרי גיתי הוו עבדיך מעולמנא ועד כען אף אנחנא אף אבהתנא בדיל די תיתבון בארעא דגשן ארי מרחקין מצראי כל רעי ענא:
ena rey kl mtsray mrkhqyn ary dgshn barea thythbwn dy bdyl abhthna ap ankhna ap ken wed mewlmna ebdyk hww gythy mry gbry wthymrwn
that you shall say, ‘Your servants have been keepers of livestock from our youth even until now, both we, and our fathers:’ that you may dwell in the land of Goshen; for every shepherd is an abomination to the Egyptians.”
