ואלין תולדת עשו הוא אדום:
adwm hwa eshw thwldth walyn
Now this is the history of the generations of Esau (that is, Edom).

עשו נסיב ית נשוהי מבנת כנען ית עדה בת אילון חתאה וית אהליבמה בת ענה בת צבעון חואה:
khwah tsbewn bth enh bth ahlybmh wyth khthah aylwn bth edh yth knen mbnth nshwhy yth nsyb eshw
Esau took his wives from the daughters of Canaan: Adah the daughter of Elon, the Hittite; and Oholibamah the daughter of Anah, the daughter of Zibeon, the Hivite;

וית בשמת בת ישמעאל אחתיה דנביות:
dnbywth akhthyh yshmeal bth bshmth wyth
and Basemath, Ishmael’s daughter, sister of Nebaioth.

וילידת עדה לעשו ית אליפז ובשמת ילידת ית רעואל:
rewal yth ylydth wbshmth alypz yth leshw edh wylydth
Adah bore to Esau Eliphaz. Basemath bore Reuel.

ואהליבמה ילידת ית יעוש וית יעלם וית קרח אלין בני עשו די אתילידו ליה בארעא דכנען:
dknen barea lyh athylydw dy eshw bny alyn qrkh wyth yelm wyth yewsh yth ylydth wahlybmh
Oholibamah bore Jeush, Jalam, and Korah. These are the sons of Esau, who were born to him in the land of Canaan.

ודבר עשו ית נשוהי וית בנוהי וית בנתיה וית כל נפשת ביתיה וית גיתוהי וית כל בעיריה וית כל קניניה די קנא בארעא דכנען ואזל לארעא אחרי מן קדם יעקב אחוהי:
akhwhy yeqb qdm mn akhry larea wazl dknen barea qna dy qnynyh kl wyth beyryh kl wyth gythwhy wyth bythyh npshth kl wyth bnthyh wyth bnwhy wyth nshwhy yth eshw wdbr
Esau took his wives, his sons, his daughters, and all the members of his household, with his livestock, all his animals, and all his possessions, which he had gathered in the land of Canaan, and went into a land away from his brother Jacob.

ארי הוה קנינהון סגי מלמתב כחדא ולא יכילת ארע תותבותהון לסוברא יתהון מן קדם גיתיהון:
gythyhwn qdm mn ythhwn lswbra thwthbwthhwn are ykylth wla kkhda mlmthb sgy qnynhwn hwh ary
For their substance was too great for them to dwell together, and the land of their travels couldn’t bear them because of their livestock.

ויתיב עשו בטורא דשעיר עשו הוא אדום:
adwm hwa eshw dsheyr bTwra eshw wythyb
Esau lived in the hill country of Seir. Esau is Edom.

ואלין תולדת עשו אבוהון דאדומאי בטורא דשעיר:
dsheyr bTwra dadwmay abwhwn eshw thwldth walyn
This is the history of the generations of Esau the father of the Edomites in the hill country of Seir:

אלין שמהת בני עשו אליפז בר עדה אתת עשו רעואל בר בשמת אתת עשו:
eshw athth bshmth br rewal eshw athth edh br alypz eshw bny shmhth alyn
these are the names of Esau’s sons: Eliphaz, the son of Adah, the wife of Esau; and Reuel, the son of Basemath, the wife of Esau.

והוו בני אליפז תימן אומר צפו וגעתם וקנז:
wqnz wgethm tspw awmr thymn alypz bny whww
The sons of Eliphaz were Teman, Omar, Zepho, and Gatam, and Kenaz.

ותמנע הות לחינתא לאליפז בר עשו וילידת לאליפז ית עמלק אלין בני עדה אתת עשו:
eshw athth edh bny alyn emlq yth lalypz wylydth eshw br lalypz lkhyntha hwth wthmne
Timna was concubine to Eliphaz, Esau’s son; and she bore to Eliphaz Amalek. These are the descendants of Adah, Esau’s wife.

ואלין בני רעואל נחת וזרח שמה ומזה אלין הוו בני בשמת אתת עשו:
eshw athth bshmth bny hww alyn wmzh shmh wzrkh nkhth rewal bny walyn
These are the sons of Reuel: Nahath, Zerah, Shammah, and Mizzah. These were the descendants of Basemath, Esau’s wife.

ואלין הוו בני אהליבמה בת ענה בת צבעון אתת עשו וילידת לעשו ית יעוש וית יעלם וית קרח:
qrkh wyth yelm wyth yewsh yth leshw wylydth eshw athth tsbewn bth enh bth ahlybmh bny hww walyn
These were the sons of Oholibamah, the daughter of Anah, the daughter of Zibeon, Esau’s wife: she bore to Esau Jeush, Jalam, and Korah.

אלין רברבי בני עשו בני אליפז בוכרא דעשו רבא תימן רבא אומר רבא צפו רבא קנז:
qnz rba tspw rba awmr rba thymn rba deshw bwkra alypz bny eshw bny rbrby alyn
These are the chiefs of the sons of Esau: the sons of Eliphaz the firstborn of Esau: chief Teman, chief Omar, chief Zepho, chief Kenaz,

רבא קרח רבא געתם רבא עמלק אלין רברבי דאליפז בארעא דאדום אלין בני עדה:
edh bny alyn dadwm barea dalypz rbrby alyn emlq rba gethm rba qrkh rba
chief Korah, chief Gatam, chief Amalek. These are the chiefs who came of Eliphaz in the land of Edom. These are the sons of Adah.

ואלין בני רעואל בר עשו רבא נחת רבא זרח רבא שמה רבא מזה אלין רברבי רעואל בארעא אדום אלין בני בשמת אתת עשו:
eshw athth bshmth bny alyn adwm barea rewal rbrby alyn mzh rba shmh rba zrkh rba nkhth rba eshw br rewal bny walyn
These are the sons of Reuel, Esau’s son: chief Nahath, chief Zerah, chief Shammah, chief Mizzah. These are the chiefs who came of Reuel in the land of Edom. These are the sons of Basemath, Esau’s wife.

ואלין בני אהליבמה אתת עשו רבא יעוש רבא יעלם רבא קרח אלין רברבי אהליבמה בת ענה אתת עשו:
eshw athth enh bth ahlybmh rbrby alyn qrkh rba yelm rba yewsh rba eshw athth ahlybmh bny walyn
These are the sons of Oholibamah, Esau’s wife: chief Jeush, chief Jalam, chief Korah. These are the chiefs who came of Oholibamah the daughter of Anah, Esau’s wife.

אלין בני עשו ואלין רברבניהון הוא אדום:
adwm hwa rbrbnyhwn walyn eshw bny alyn
These are the sons of Esau (that is, Edom), and these are their chiefs.
20
אלין בני שעיר חוראה יתבי דארעא לוטן ושובל וצבעון וענה:
wenh wtsbewn wshwbl lwTn darea ythby khwrah sheyr bny alyn
These are the sons of Seir the Horite, the inhabitants of the land: Lotan, Shobal, Zibeon, Anah,

ודשון ואצר ודישן אלין רברבי חוראי בני שעיר בארעא דאדום:
dadwm barea sheyr bny khwray rbrby alyn wdyshn watsr wdshwn
Dishon, Ezer, and Dishan. These are the chiefs who came of the Horites, the children of Seir in the land of Edom.

והוו בני לוטן חורי והימם ואחתיה דלוטן תמנע:
thmne dlwTn wakhthyh whymm khwry lwTn bny whww
The children of Lotan were Hori and Heman. Lotan’s sister was Timna.
23
ואלין בני שובל עלון ומנחת ועיבל שפו ואונם:
wawnm shpw weybl wmnkhth elwn shwbl bny walyn
These are the children of Shobal: Alvan, Manahath, Ebal, Shepho, and Onam.

ואלין בני צבעון ואיה וענה הוא ענה די אשכח ית גבריא במדברא כד הוה רעי ית חמריא לצבעון אבוהי:
abwhy ltsbewn khmrya yth rey hwh kd bmdbra gbrya yth ashkkh dy enh hwa wenh wayh tsbewn bny walyn
These are the children of Zibeon: Aiah and Anah. This is Anah who found the hot springs in the wilderness, as he fed the donkeys of Zibeon his father.

ואלין בני ענה דשן ואהליבמה בת ענה:
enh bth wahlybmh dshn enh bny walyn
These are the children of Anah: Dishon and Oholibamah, the daughter of Anah.

ואלין בני דישן חמדן ואשבן ויתרן וכרן:
wkrn wythrn washbn khmdn dyshn bny walyn
These are the children of Dishon: Hemdan, Eshban, Ithran, and Cheran.

אלין בני אצר בלהן וזעון ועקן:
weqn wzewn blhn atsr bny alyn
These are the children of Ezer: Bilhan, Zaavan, and Akan.

אלין רברבי חוראה רבא לוטן רבא שובל רבא צבעון רבא ענה:
enh rba tsbewn rba shwbl rba lwTn rba khwrah rbrby alyn
These are the chiefs who came of the Horites: chief Lotan, chief Shobal, chief Zibeon, chief Anah,

רבא דשן רבא אצר רבא דישן אלין רברבי חוראה לרברבניהון בארעא דשעיר:
dsheyr barea lrbrbnyhwn khwrah rbrby alyn dyshn rba atsr rba dshn rba
chief Dishon, chief Ezer, and chief Dishan. These are the chiefs who came of the Horites, according to their chiefs in the land of Seir.

ואלין מלכיא די מליכו בארעא דאדום קדם די מלך מלכא לבני ישראל:
yshral lbny mlka mlk dy qdm dadwm barea mlykw dy mlkya walyn
These are the kings who reigned in the land of Edom, before any king reigned over the children of Israel.
32
ומלך באדום בלע בר בעור ושום קרתיה דנהבה:
dnhbh qrthyh wshwm bewr br ble badwm wmlk
Bela, the son of Beor, reigned in Edom. The name of his city was Dinhabah.
33
ומית בלע ומלך תחותוהי יובב בר זרח מבצרה:
mbtsrh zrkh br ywbb thkhwthwhy wmlk ble wmyth
Bela died, and Jobab, the son of Zerah of Bozrah, reigned in his place.

ומית יובב ומלך תחותוהי חשם מארעא דרומא:
drwma marea khshm thkhwthwhy wmlk ywbb wmyth
Jobab died, and Husham of the land of the Temanites reigned in his place.
35
ומית חשם ומלך תחותוהי הדד בר בדד דקטיל ית מדינאי בחקלא דמואב ושום קרתיה עוית:
ewyth qrthyh wshwm dmwab bkhqla mdynay yth dqTyl bdd br hdd thkhwthwhy wmlk khshm wmyth
Husham died, and Hadad, the son of Bedad, who struck Midian in the field of Moab, reigned in his place. The name of his city was Avith.

ומית הדד ומלך תחותוהי שמלה ממשרקה:
mmshrqh shmlh thkhwthwhy wmlk hdd wmyth
Hadad died, and Samlah of Masrekah reigned in his place.
37
ומית שמלה ומלך תחותוהי שאול מרחובי דעל פרת:
prth del mrkhwby shawl thkhwthwhy wmlk shmlh wmyth
Samlah died, and Shaul of Rehoboth by the river, reigned in his place.
38
ומית שאול ומלך תחותוהי בעל חנן בר עכבור:
ekbwr br khnn bel thkhwthwhy wmlk shawl wmyth
Shaul died, and Baal Hanan the son of Achbor reigned in his place.

ומית בעל חנן בר עכבור ומלך תחותוהי הדר ושום קרתיה פעו ושום אתתיה מהיטבאל בת מטרד בת מצרף דהבא:
dhba mtsrp bth mTrd bth mhyTbal aththyh wshwm pew qrthyh wshwm hdr thkhwthwhy wmlk ekbwr br khnn bel wmyth
Baal Hanan the son of Achbor died, and Hadar reigned in his place. The name of his city was Pau. His wife’s name was Mehetabel, the daughter of Matred, the daughter of Mezahab.

ואלין שמהת רברבי עשו לזרעיתהון לאתריהון בשמהתהון רבא תמנע רבא עלוה רבא יתת:

These are the names of the chiefs who came from Esau, according to their families, after their places, and by their names: chief Timna, chief Alvah, chief Jetheth,

רבא אהליבמה רבא אלה רבא פינן:
pynn rba alh rba ahlybmh rba
chief Oholibamah, chief Elah, chief Pinon,

רבא מגדיאל רבא עירם אלין רברבי אדום למותבנהון בארעא אחסנתהון הוא עשו אבוהון דאדומאי:
dadwmay abwhwn eshw hwa akhsnthhwn barea lmwthbnhwn adwm rbrby alyn eyrm rba mgdyal rba
chief Magdiel, and chief Iram. These are the chiefs of Edom, according to their habitations in the land of their possession. This is Esau, the father of the Edomites.
