ואוסיף אברהם ונסיב אתתא ושמה קטורה:

Abraham took another wife, and her name was Keturah.

וילידת ליה ית זמרן וית יקשן וית מדן וית מדין וית ישבק וית שוח:
wylydth lyh yth zmrn wyth yqshn wyth mdn wyth mdyn wyth yshbq wyth shwkh
She bore him Zimran, Jokshan, Medan, Midian, Ishbak, and Shuah.

ויקשן אוליד ית שבא וית דדן ובני דדן הוו למשירין ולשכונין ולנגון:
wyqshn awlyd yth shba wyth ddn wbny ddn hww lmshyryn wlshkwnyn wlngwn
Jokshan became the father of Sheba, and Dedan. The sons of Dedan were Asshurim, Letushim, and Leummim.

ובני מדין עיפה ועפר וחנוך ואבידע ואלדעה כל אלין בני קטורה:
wbny mdyn eyph wepr wkhnwk wabyde waldeh kl alyn bny qTwrh
The sons of Midian were Ephah, Epher, Hanoch, Abida, and Eldaah. All these were the children of Keturah.

ויהב אברהם ית כל דיליה ליצחק:
wyhb abrhm yth kl dylyh lytskhq
Abraham gave all that he had to Isaac,

ולבני לחינתא די לאברהם יהב אברהם מתנן ושלחנון מעל יצחק בריה בעוד דהוא קים קידומא לארע מדינחא:
wlbny lkhyntha dy labrhm yhb abrhm mthnn wshlkhnwn mel ytskhq bryh bewd dhwa qym qydwma lare mdynkha
but Abraham gave gifts to the sons of Abraham’s concubines. While he still lived, he sent them away from Isaac his son, eastward, to the east country.

ואלין יומי שני חיי אברהם דחיא מאה ושבעין וחמש שנין:
walyn ywmy shny khyy abrhm dkhya mah wshbeyn wkhmsh shnyn
These are the days of the years of Abraham’s life which he lived: one hundred seventy-five years.

ואתנגיד ומית אברהם בסיבו טבא סיב ושבע יומין ואתכניש לעמיה:
wathngyd wmyth abrhm bsybw Tba syb wshbe ywmyn wathknysh lemyh
Abraham gave up his spirit, and died at a good old age, an old man, and full of years, and was gathered to his people.

וקברו יתיה יצחק וישמעאל בנוהי במערת כפלתא בחקל עפרון בר צחר חתאה די על אפי ממרא:
wqbrw ythyh ytskhq wyshmeal bnwhy bmerth kpltha bkhql eprwn br tskhr khthah dy el apy mmra
Isaac and Ishmael, his sons, buried him in the cave of Machpelah, in the field of Ephron, the son of Zohar the Hittite, which is near Mamre,

חקלא די זבן אברהם מן בני חתאה תמן אתקבר אברהם ושרה אתתיה:
khqla dy zbn abrhm mn bny khthah thmn athqbr abrhm wshrh aththyh
the field which Abraham purchased from the children of Heth. Abraham was buried there with Sarah, his wife.

והוה בתר דמית אברהם וברך יי ית יצחק בריה ויתב יצחק עם בירא דמלאך קימא אתחזי עלה:
whwh bthr dmyth abrhm wbrk yy yth ytskhq bryh wythb ytskhq em byra dmlak qyma athkhzy elh
After the death of Abraham, God blessed Isaac, his son. Isaac lived by Beer Lahai Roi.

ואלין תולדת ישמעאל בר אברהם די ילידת הגר מצרתא אמתא דשרה לאברהם:
walyn thwldth yshmeal br abrhm dy ylydth hgr mtsrtha amtha dshrh labrhm
Now this is the history of the generations of Ishmael, Abraham’s son, whom Hagar the Egyptian, Sarah’s servant, bore to Abraham.

ואלין שמהן בני ישמעאל בשמהתהון לתולדתהון בוכרא דישמעאל נביות וקדר ואדבאל ומבשם:
walyn shmhn bny yshmeal bshmhthhwn lthwldthhwn bwkra dyshmeal nbywth wqdr wadbal wmbshm
These are the names of the sons of Ishmael, by their names, according to the order of their birth: the firstborn of Ishmael, Nebaioth, then Kedar, Adbeel, Mibsam,

חדד ותימא יטור נפיש וקדמה:
khdd wthyma yTwr npysh wqdmh
Hadad, Tema, Jetur, Naphish, and Kedemah.

אלין אנון בני ישמעאל ואלין שמהתהון בפצחיהון ובכרכיהון תרין עסר רברבין לאמיהון:
alyn anwn bny yshmeal walyn shmhthhwn bptskhyhwn wbkrkyhwn thryn esr rbrbyn lamyhwn
These are the sons of Ishmael, and these are their names, by their villages, and by their encampments: twelve princes, according to their nations.

ואלין שני חיי ישמעאל מאה ותלתין ושבע שנין ואתנגיד ומית ואתכניש לעמיה:
walyn shny khyy yshmeal mah wthlthyn wshbe shnyn wathngyd wmyth wathknysh lemyh
These are the years of the life of Ishmael: one hundred thirty-seven years. He gave up his spirit and died, and was gathered to his people.

ושרו מחוילה עד חגרא די על אפי מצרים מטי לאתור על אפי כל אחוהי שרא:
wshrw mkhwylh ed khgra dy el apy mtsrym mTy lathwr el apy kl akhwhy shra
They lived from Havilah to Shur that is before Egypt, as you go toward Assyria. He lived opposite all his relatives.

ואלין תולדת יצחק בר אברהם אברהם אוליד ית יצחק:
walyn thwldth ytskhq br abrhm abrhm awlyd yth ytskhq
This is the history of the generations of Isaac, Abraham’s son. Abraham became the father of Isaac.

והוה יצחק בר ארבעין שנין כד נסיב ית רבקה בת בתואל ארמאה מפדן ארם אחתיה דלבן ארמאה ליה לאנתו:
whwh ytskhq br arbeyn shnyn kd nsyb yth rbqh bth bthwal armah mpdn arm akhthyh dlbn armah lyh lanthw
Isaac was forty years old when he took Rebekah, the daughter of Bethuel the Syrian of Paddan Aram, the sister of Laban the Syrian, to be his wife.

וצלי יצחק קדם יי לקבל אתתיה ארי עקרה היא וקבל צלותיה יי ועדיאת רבקה אתתיה:
wtsly ytskhq qdm yy lqbl aththyh ary eqrh hya wqbl tslwthyh yy wedyath rbqh aththyh
Isaac entreated Yahweh for his wife, because she was barren. Yahweh was entreated by him, and Rebekah his wife conceived.

ודחקין בניא במעהא ואמרת אם כן למה דנן אנא ואזלת למתבע אולפן מן קדם יי:
wdkhqyn bnya bmeha wamrth am kn lmh dnn ana wazlth lmthbe awlpn mn qdm yy
The children struggled together within her. She said, “If it is like this, why do I live?” She went to inquire of Yahweh.

ואמר יי לה תרין עממין במעיכי ותרתין מלכון ממעיכי יתפרשן ומלכו ממלכו יתקף ורבא ישתעביד לזעירא:
wamr yy lh thryn emmyn bmeyky wthrthyn mlkwn mmeyky ythprshn wmlkw mmlkw ythqp wrba yshthebyd lzeyra
Yahweh said to her, “Two nations are in your womb. Two peoples will be separated from your body. The one people will be stronger than the other people. The elder will serve the younger.”

ושלימו יומהא למילד והא תיומין במעהא:
wshlymw ywmha lmyld wha thywmyn bmeha
When her days to be delivered were fulfilled, behold, there were twins in her womb.
25
ונפק קדמאה סמוק כליה כגלים דשער וקרו שמיה עשו:
wnpq qdmah smwq klyh kglym dsher wqrw shmyh eshw
The first came out red all over, like a hairy garment. They named him Esau.

ובתר כן נפק אחוהי וידיה אחידא בעקבא דעשו וקרא שמיה יעקב ויצחק בר שתין שנין כד ילידת יתהון:
wbthr kn npq akhwhy wydyh akhyda beqba deshw wqra shmyh yeqb wytskhq br shthyn shnyn kd ylydth ythhwn
After that, his brother came out, and his hand had hold on Esau’s heel. He was named Jacob. Isaac was sixty years old when she bore them.

ורביו עולמיא והוה עשו גבר נחשירכן גבר נפק לחקלא ויעקב גבר שלים משמש בית אולפנא:
wrbyw ewlmya whwh eshw gbr nkhshyrkn gbr npq lkhqla wyeqb gbr shlym mshmsh byth awlpna
The boys grew. Esau was a skillful hunter, a man of the field. Jacob was a quiet man, living in tents.

ורחם יצחק ית עשו ארי מצידיה הוה אכיל ורבקה רחימת ית יעקב:
wrkhm ytskhq yth eshw ary mtsydyh hwh akyl wrbqh rkhymth yth yeqb
Now Isaac loved Esau, because he ate his venison. Rebekah loved Jacob.

ובשיל יעקב תבשילא ואתא עשו מן חקלא והוא משלהי:
wbshyl yeqb thbshyla watha eshw mn khqla whwa mshlhy
Jacob boiled stew. Esau came in from the field, and he was famished.
30
ואמר עשו ליעקב אטעמני כען מן סמוקא סמוקא הדין ארי משלהי אנא על כן קרא שמיה אדום:
wamr eshw lyeqb aTemny ken mn smwqa smwqa hdyn ary mshlhy ana el kn qra shmyh adwm
Esau said to Jacob, “Please feed me with some of that red stew, for I am famished.” Therefore his name was called Edom.

ואמר יעקב זבין כיום דלהן ית בכרותך לי:
wamr yeqb zbyn kywm dlhn yth bkrwthk ly
Jacob said, “First, sell me your birthright.”
32
ואמר עשו הא אנא אזל לממת ולמה דנן לי בכרותא:
wamr eshw ha ana azl lmmth wlmh dnn ly bkrwtha
Esau said, “Behold, I am about to die. What good is the birthright to me?”
33
ואמר יעקב קים לי כיום דלהן וקיים ליה וזבין ית בכרותיה ליעקב:
wamr yeqb qym ly kywm dlhn wqyym lyh wzbyn yth bkrwthyh lyeqb
Jacob said, “Swear to me first.” He swore to him. He sold his birthright to Jacob.

ויעקב יהב לעשו לחם ותבשיל דטלופחין ואכל ושתי וקם ואזל ושט עשו ית בכרותא:
wyeqb yhb leshw lkhm wthbshyl dTlwpkhyn wakl wshthy wqm wazl wshT eshw yth bkrwtha
Jacob gave Esau bread and lentil stew. He ate and drank, rose up, and went his way. So Esau despised his birthright.
