1
ואוסיף אברהם ונסיב אתתא ושמה קטורה:
qTwrh wshmh aththa wnsyb abrhm wawsyp
Abraham took another wife, and her name was Keturah.
2
וילידת ליה ית זמרן וית יקשן וית מדן וית מדין וית ישבק וית שוח:
shwkh wyth yshbq wyth mdyn wyth mdn wyth yqshn wyth zmrn yth lyh wylydth
She bore him Zimran, Jokshan, Medan, Midian, Ishbak, and Shuah.

ויקשן אוליד ית שבא וית דדן ובני דדן הוו למשירין ולשכונין ולנגון:
wlngwn wlshkwnyn lmshyryn hww ddn wbny ddn wyth shba yth awlyd wyqshn
Jokshan became the father of Sheba, and Dedan. The sons of Dedan were Asshurim, Letushim, and Leummim.

ובני מדין עיפה ועפר וחנוך ואבידע ואלדעה כל אלין בני קטורה:
qTwrh bny alyn kl waldeh wabyde wkhnwk wepr eyph mdyn wbny
The sons of Midian were Ephah, Epher, Hanoch, Abida, and Eldaah. All these were the children of Keturah.

ויהב אברהם ית כל דיליה ליצחק:
lytskhq dylyh kl yth abrhm wyhb
Abraham gave all that he had to Isaac,

ולבני לחינתא די לאברהם יהב אברהם מתנן ושלחנון מעל יצחק בריה בעוד דהוא קים קידומא לארע מדינחא:
mdynkha lare qydwma qym dhwa bewd bryh ytskhq mel wshlkhnwn mthnn abrhm yhb labrhm dy lkhyntha wlbny
but Abraham gave gifts to the sons of Abraham’s concubines. While he still lived, he sent them away from Isaac his son, eastward, to the east country.

ואלין יומי שני חיי אברהם דחיא מאה ושבעין וחמש שנין:
shnyn wkhmsh wshbeyn mah dkhya abrhm khyy shny ywmy walyn
These are the days of the years of Abraham’s life which he lived: one hundred seventy-five years.

ואתנגיד ומית אברהם בסיבו טבא סיב ושבע יומין ואתכניש לעמיה:
lemyh wathknysh ywmyn wshbe syb Tba bsybw abrhm wmyth wathngyd
Abraham gave up his spirit, and died at a good old age, an old man, and full of years, and was gathered to his people.

וקברו יתיה יצחק וישמעאל בנוהי במערת כפלתא בחקל עפרון בר צחר חתאה די על אפי ממרא:
mmra apy el dy khthah tskhr br eprwn bkhql kpltha bmerth bnwhy wyshmeal ytskhq ythyh wqbrw
Isaac and Ishmael, his sons, buried him in the cave of Machpelah, in the field of Ephron, the son of Zohar the Hittite, which is near Mamre,

חקלא די זבן אברהם מן בני חתאה תמן אתקבר אברהם ושרה אתתיה:
aththyh wshrh abrhm athqbr thmn khthah bny mn abrhm zbn dy khqla
the field which Abraham purchased from the children of Heth. Abraham was buried there with Sarah, his wife.

והוה בתר דמית אברהם וברך יי ית יצחק בריה ויתב יצחק עם בירא דמלאך קימא אתחזי עלה:
elh athkhzy qyma dmlak byra em ytskhq wythb bryh ytskhq yth yy wbrk abrhm dmyth bthr whwh
After the death of Abraham, God blessed Isaac, his son. Isaac lived by Beer Lahai Roi.

ואלין תולדת ישמעאל בר אברהם די ילידת הגר מצרתא אמתא דשרה לאברהם:
labrhm dshrh amtha mtsrtha hgr ylydth dy abrhm br yshmeal thwldth walyn
Now this is the history of the generations of Ishmael, Abraham’s son, whom Hagar the Egyptian, Sarah’s servant, bore to Abraham.

ואלין שמהן בני ישמעאל בשמהתהון לתולדתהון בוכרא דישמעאל נביות וקדר ואדבאל ומבשם:
wmbshm wadbal wqdr nbywth dyshmeal bwkra lthwldthhwn bshmhthhwn yshmeal bny shmhn walyn
These are the names of the sons of Ishmael, by their names, according to the order of their birth: the firstborn of Ishmael, Nebaioth, then Kedar, Adbeel, Mibsam,

חדד ותימא יטור נפיש וקדמה:
wqdmh npysh yTwr wthyma khdd
Hadad, Tema, Jetur, Naphish, and Kedemah.
16
אלין אנון בני ישמעאל ואלין שמהתהון בפצחיהון ובכרכיהון תרין עסר רברבין לאמיהון:
lamyhwn rbrbyn esr thryn wbkrkyhwn bptskhyhwn shmhthhwn walyn yshmeal bny anwn alyn
These are the sons of Ishmael, and these are their names, by their villages, and by their encampments: twelve princes, according to their nations.

ואלין שני חיי ישמעאל מאה ותלתין ושבע שנין ואתנגיד ומית ואתכניש לעמיה:
lemyh wathknysh wmyth wathngyd shnyn wshbe wthlthyn mah yshmeal khyy shny walyn
These are the years of the life of Ishmael: one hundred thirty-seven years. He gave up his spirit and died, and was gathered to his people.

ושרו מחוילה עד חגרא די על אפי מצרים מטי לאתור על אפי כל אחוהי שרא:
shra akhwhy kl apy el lathwr mTy mtsrym apy el dy khgra ed mkhwylh wshrw
They lived from Havilah to Shur that is before Egypt, as you go toward Assyria. He lived opposite all his relatives.

ואלין תולדת יצחק בר אברהם אברהם אוליד ית יצחק:
ytskhq yth awlyd abrhm abrhm br ytskhq thwldth walyn
This is the history of the generations of Isaac, Abraham’s son. Abraham became the father of Isaac.

והוה יצחק בר ארבעין שנין כד נסיב ית רבקה בת בתואל ארמאה מפדן ארם אחתיה דלבן ארמאה ליה לאנתו:
lanthw lyh armah dlbn akhthyh arm mpdn armah bthwal bth rbqh yth nsyb kd shnyn arbeyn br ytskhq whwh
Isaac was forty years old when he took Rebekah, the daughter of Bethuel the Syrian of Paddan Aram, the sister of Laban the Syrian, to be his wife.

וצלי יצחק קדם יי לקבל אתתיה ארי עקרה היא וקבל צלותיה יי ועדיאת רבקה אתתיה:
aththyh rbqh wedyath yy tslwthyh wqbl hya eqrh ary aththyh lqbl yy qdm ytskhq wtsly
Isaac entreated Yahweh for his wife, because she was barren. Yahweh was entreated by him, and Rebekah his wife conceived.

ודחקין בניא במעהא ואמרת אם כן למה דנן אנא ואזלת למתבע אולפן מן קדם יי:
yy qdm mn awlpn lmthbe wazlth ana dnn lmh kn am wamrth bmeha bnya wdkhqyn
The children struggled together within her. She said, “If it is like this, why do I live?” She went to inquire of Yahweh.

ואמר יי לה תרין עממין במעיכי ותרתין מלכון ממעיכי יתפרשן ומלכו ממלכו יתקף ורבא ישתעביד לזעירא:
lzeyra yshthebyd wrba ythqp mmlkw wmlkw ythprshn mmeyky mlkwn wthrthyn bmeyky emmyn thryn lh yy wamr
Yahweh said to her, “Two nations are in your womb. Two peoples will be separated from your body. The one people will be stronger than the other people. The elder will serve the younger.”

ושלימו יומהא למילד והא תיומין במעהא:
bmeha thywmyn wha lmyld ywmha wshlymw
When her days to be delivered were fulfilled, behold, there were twins in her womb.
25
ונפק קדמאה סמוק כליה כגלים דשער וקרו שמיה עשו:
eshw shmyh wqrw dsher kglym klyh smwq qdmah wnpq
The first came out red all over, like a hairy garment. They named him Esau.

ובתר כן נפק אחוהי וידיה אחידא בעקבא דעשו וקרא שמיה יעקב ויצחק בר שתין שנין כד ילידת יתהון:
ythhwn ylydth kd shnyn shthyn br wytskhq yeqb shmyh wqra deshw beqba akhyda wydyh akhwhy npq kn wbthr
After that, his brother came out, and his hand had hold on Esau’s heel. He was named Jacob. Isaac was sixty years old when she bore them.

ורביו עולמיא והוה עשו גבר נחשירכן גבר נפק לחקלא ויעקב גבר שלים משמש בית אולפנא:
awlpna byth mshmsh shlym gbr wyeqb lkhqla npq gbr nkhshyrkn gbr eshw whwh ewlmya wrbyw
The boys grew. Esau was a skillful hunter, a man of the field. Jacob was a quiet man, living in tents.

ורחם יצחק ית עשו ארי מצידיה הוה אכיל ורבקה רחימת ית יעקב:
yeqb yth rkhymth wrbqh akyl hwh mtsydyh ary eshw yth ytskhq wrkhm
Now Isaac loved Esau, because he ate his venison. Rebekah loved Jacob.

ובשיל יעקב תבשילא ואתא עשו מן חקלא והוא משלהי:
mshlhy whwa khqla mn eshw watha thbshyla yeqb wbshyl
Jacob boiled stew. Esau came in from the field, and he was famished.
30
ואמר עשו ליעקב אטעמני כען מן סמוקא סמוקא הדין ארי משלהי אנא על כן קרא שמיה אדום:
adwm shmyh qra kn el ana mshlhy ary hdyn smwqa smwqa mn ken aTemny lyeqb eshw wamr
Esau said to Jacob, “Please feed me with some of that red stew, for I am famished.” Therefore his name was called Edom.

ואמר יעקב זבין כיום דלהן ית בכרותך לי:
ly bkrwthk yth dlhn kywm zbyn yeqb wamr
Jacob said, “First, sell me your birthright.”
32
ואמר עשו הא אנא אזל לממת ולמה דנן לי בכרותא:
bkrwtha ly dnn wlmh lmmth azl ana ha eshw wamr
Esau said, “Behold, I am about to die. What good is the birthright to me?”
33
ואמר יעקב קים לי כיום דלהן וקיים ליה וזבין ית בכרותיה ליעקב:
lyeqb bkrwthyh yth wzbyn lyh wqyym dlhn kywm ly qym yeqb wamr
Jacob said, “Swear to me first.” He swore to him. He sold his birthright to Jacob.
