והוה אברם בר תשעין ותשע שנין ואתגלי יי לאברם ואמר ליה אנא אל שדי פלח קדמי והוי שלים:
whwh abrm br thsheyn wthshe shnyn wathgly yy labrm wamr lyh ana al shdy plkh qdmy whwy shlym
When Abram was ninety-nine years old, Yahweh appeared to Abram and said to him, “I am God Almighty. Walk before me and be blameless.

ואתן קימי בין מימרי ובינך ואסגי יתך לחדא לחדא:
wathn qymy byn mymry wbynk wasgy ythk lkhda lkhda
I will make my covenant between me and you, and will multiply you exceedingly.”

ונפל אברם על אפוהי ומליל עמיה יי למימר:
wnpl abrm el apwhy wmlyl emyh yy lmymr
Abram fell on his face. God talked with him, saying,

אנא הא קימי עמך ותהי לאב סגי עממין:
ana ha qymy emk wthhy lab sgy emmyn
“As for me, behold, my covenant is with you. You will be the father of a multitude of nations.
5
ולא יתקרי עוד ית שמך אברם ויהי שמך אברהם ארי אב סגי עממין יהבתך:
wla ythqry ewd yth shmk abrm wyhy shmk abrhm ary ab sgy emmyn yhbthk
Your name will no more be called Abram, but your name will be Abraham; for I have made you the father of a multitude of nations.

ואפיש יתך לחדא לחדא ואתננך לכנשין ומלכין דשליטין בעממיא מנך יפקון:
wapysh ythk lkhda lkhda wathnnk lknshyn wmlkyn dshlyTyn bemmya mnk ypqwn
I will make you exceedingly fruitful, and I will make nations of you. Kings will come out of you.

ואקים ית קימי בין מימרי ובינך ובין בנך בתרך לדריהון לקים עלם למהוי לך לאלהא ולבנך בתרך:
waqym yth qymy byn mymry wbynk wbyn bnk bthrk ldryhwn lqym elm lmhwy lk lalha wlbnk bthrk
I will establish my covenant between me and you and your offspring after you throughout their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be a God to you and to your offspring after you.

ואתן לך ולבנך בתרך ית ארעא תותבותך ית כל ארעא דכנען לאחסנת עלם ואהוי להון לאלהא:
wathn lk wlbnk bthrk yth area thwthbwthk yth kl area dknen lakhsnth elm wahwy lhwn lalha
I will give to you, and to your offspring after you, the land where you are traveling, all the land of Canaan, for an everlasting possession. I will be their God.”

ואמר יי לאברהם ואת ית קימי תטר את ובנך בתרך לדריהון:
wamr yy labrhm wath yth qymy thTr ath wbnk bthrk ldryhwn
God said to Abraham, “As for you, you shall keep my covenant, you and your offspring after you throughout their generations.
10
דא קימי די תטרון בין מימרי וביניכון ובין בנך בתרך מגזר לכון כל דכורא:
da qymy dy thTrwn byn mymry wbynykwn wbyn bnk bthrk mgzr lkwn kl dkwra
This is my covenant, which you shall keep, between me and you and your offspring after you. Every male among you shall be circumcised.

ותגזרון ית בשרא דערלתכון ותהי לאת קים בין מימרי וביניכון:
wthgzrwn yth bshra derlthkwn wthhy lath qym byn mymry wbynykwn
You shall be circumcised in the flesh of your foreskin. It will be a token of the covenant between me and you.
12
ובר תמניא יומין יתגזר לכון כל דכורא לדרתיכון ילידי ביתא וזביני כספא מכל בר עממין דלא מבנך הוא:
wbr thmnya ywmyn ythgzr lkwn kl dkwra ldrthykwn ylydy bytha wzbyny kspa mkl br emmyn dla mbnk hwa
He who is eight days old shall be circumcised among you, every male throughout your generations, he who is born in the house, or bought with money from any foreigner who is not of your offspring.

אתגזרא יתגזרון יליד ביתך וזבין כספך ותהי קימי בבשריכון לקים עלם:
athgzra ythgzrwn ylyd bythk wzbyn kspk wthhy qymy bbshrykwn lqym elm
He who is born in your house, and he who is bought with your money, must be circumcised. My covenant shall be in your flesh for an everlasting covenant.

וערל דכורא די לא יגזר ית בשר ערלתיה וישתיצי אנשא ההיא מעמיה ית קימי אשני:
werl dkwra dy la ygzr yth bshr erlthyh wyshthytsy ansha hhya memyh yth qymy ashny
The uncircumcised male who is not circumcised in the flesh of his foreskin, that soul shall be cut off from his people. He has broken my covenant.”

ואמר יי לאברהם שרי אתתך לא תקרי ית שמה שרי ארי שרה שמה:
wamr yy labrhm shry aththk la thqry yth shmh shry ary shrh shmh
God said to Abraham, “As for Sarai your wife, you shall not call her name Sarai, but her name shall be Sarah.

ואברך יתה ואף אתן מנה לך בר ואברכנה ותהי לכנשין מלכין דשליטין בעממיא מנה יהון:
wabrk ythh wap athn mnh lk br wabrknh wthhy lknshyn mlkyn dshlyTyn bemmya mnh yhwn
I will bless her, and moreover I will give you a son by her. Yes, I will bless her, and she will be a mother of nations. Kings of peoples will come from her.”

ונפל אברהם על אפוהי וחדי ואמר בלביה הלבר מאה שנין יהי ולד ואם שרה הבת תשעין שנין תליד:
wnpl abrhm el apwhy wkhdy wamr blbyh hlbr mah shnyn yhy wld wam shrh hbth thsheyn shnyn thlyd
Then Abraham fell on his face, and laughed, and said in his heart, “Will a child be born to him who is one hundred years old? Will Sarah, who is ninety years old, give birth?”

ואמר אברהם קדם יי לוי ישמעאל יתקים קדמך:
wamr abrhm qdm yy lwy yshmeal ythqym qdmk
Abraham said to God, “Oh that Ishmael might live before you!”

ואמר יי בקושטא שרה אתתך תליד לך בר ותקרי ית שמיה יצחק ואקים ית קימי עמיה לקים עלם לבנוהי בתרוהי:
wamr yy bqwshTa shrh aththk thlyd lk br wthqry yth shmyh ytskhq waqym yth qymy emyh lqym elm lbnwhy bthrwhy
God said, “No, but Sarah, your wife, will bear you a son. You shall call his name Isaac. I will establish my covenant with him for an everlasting covenant for his offspring after him.
20
ועל ישמעאל קבלית צלותך הא ברכית יתיה ואפש יתיה ואסגי יתיה לחדא לחדא תרין עשר רברביא יליד ואתנניה לעם סגי:
wel yshmeal qblyth tslwthk ha brkyth ythyh wapsh ythyh wasgy ythyh lkhda lkhda thryn eshr rbrbya ylyd wathnnyh lem sgy
As for Ishmael, I have heard you. Behold, I have blessed him, and will make him fruitful, and will multiply him exceedingly. He will become the father of twelve princes, and I will make him a great nation.

וית קימי אקים עם יצחק די תליד לך שרה לזמנא הדין בשתא אחרנתא:
wyth qymy aqym em ytskhq dy thlyd lk shrh lzmna hdyn bshtha akhrntha
But I will establish my covenant with Isaac, whom Sarah will bear to you at this set time next year.”

ושיצי למללא עמיה ואסתלק יקרא דיי מעלווהי דאברהם:
wshytsy lmlla emyh wasthlq yqra dyy melwwhy dabrhm
When he finished talking with him, God went up from Abraham.

ודבר אברהם ית ישמעאל בריה וית כל ילידי ביתיה וית כל זביני כספיה כל דכורא באנשי בית אברהם וגזר ית בשרא דערלתהון בכרן יומא הדין כמא די מליל עמיה יי:
wdbr abrhm yth yshmeal bryh wyth kl ylydy bythyh wyth kl zbyny kspyh kl dkwra banshy byth abrhm wgzr yth bshra derlthhwn bkrn ywma hdyn kma dy mlyl emyh yy
Abraham took Ishmael his son, all who were born in his house, and all who were bought with his money: every male among the men of Abraham’s house, and circumcised the flesh of their foreskin in the same day, as God had said to him.
24
ואברהם בר תשעין ותשע שנין כד גזר בשרא דערלתיה:
wabrhm br thsheyn wthshe shnyn kd gzr bshra derlthyh
Abraham was ninety-nine years old when he was circumcised in the flesh of his foreskin.
25
וישמעאל בריה בר תלת עשרי שנין כד גזר ית בשרא דערלתיה:
wyshmeal bryh br thlth eshry shnyn kd gzr yth bshra derlthyh
Ishmael, his son, was thirteen years old when he was circumcised in the flesh of his foreskin.
26
בכרן יומא הדין אתגזר אברהם וישמעאל בריה:
bkrn ywma hdyn athgzr abrhm wyshmeal bryh
In the same day both Abraham and Ishmael, his son, were circumcised.
27
וכל אנשי ביתיה ילידי ביתא וזביני כספא מן בר עממין אתגזרו עמיה:
wkl anshy bythyh ylydy bytha wzbyny kspa mn br emmyn athgzrw emyh
All the men of his house, those born in the house, and those bought with money from a foreigner, were circumcised with him.
