והוה ביומי אמרפל מלכא דבבל אריוך מלכא דאלסר כדרלעמר מלכא דעילם ותדעל מלכא דעממי:
demmy mlka wthdel deylm mlka kdrlemr dalsr mlka arywk dbbl mlka amrpl bywmy whwh
In the days of Amraphel, king of Shinar; Arioch, king of Ellasar; Chedorlaomer, king of Elam; and Tidal, king of Goiim,

סדרו קרבא עם ברע מלכא דסדם ועם ברשע מלכא דעמרה שנאב מלכא דאדמה ושמאבר מלכא דצבוים ומלכא דבלע היא צער:
tser hya dble wmlka dtsbwym mlka wshmabr dadmh mlka shnab demrh mlka brshe wem dsdm mlka bre em qrba sdrw
they made war with Bera, king of Sodom; Birsha, king of Gomorrah; Shinab, king of Admah; Shemeber, king of Zeboiim; and the king of Bela (also called Zoar).

כל אלין אתכנשו למישר חקליא הוא אתר ימא דמלחא:
dmlkha yma athr hwa khqlya lmyshr athknshw alyn kl
All these joined together in the valley of Siddim (also called the Salt Sea).

תרתא עשרי שנין פלחו ית כדרלעמר ותלת עשרי שנין מרדו:
mrdw shnyn eshry wthlth kdrlemr yth plkhw shnyn eshry thrtha
They served Chedorlaomer for twelve years, and in the thirteenth year they rebelled.

ובארבע עשרי שנין אתא כדרלעמר ומלכיא דעמיה ומחו ית גבריא די בעשתרות קרנים וית תקיפיא דבהמתא וית אימתני דבשוה קריתים:
qrythym dbshwh aymthny wyth dbhmtha thqypya wyth qrnym beshthrwth dy gbrya yth wmkhw demyh wmlkya kdrlemr atha shnyn eshry wbarbe
In the fourteenth year Chedorlaomer and the kings who were with him came and struck the Rephaim in Ashteroth Karnaim, the Zuzim in Ham, the Emim in Shaveh Kiriathaim,

וית חוראי די בטורהון דשעיר עד מישר פארן דסמיך על מדברא:
mdbra el dsmyk parn myshr ed dsheyr bTwrhwn dy khwray wyth
and the Horites in their Mount Seir, to El Paran, which is by the wilderness.

ותבו ואתו למישר פלוג דינא היא רקם ומחו ית כל חקל עמלקאה ואף ית אמוראה דיתיב בעין גדי:
gdy beyn dythyb amwrah yth wap emlqah khql kl yth wmkhw rqm hya dyna plwg lmyshr wathw wthbw
They returned, and came to En Mishpat (also called Kadesh), and struck all the country of the Amalekites, and also the Amorites, that lived in Hazazon Tamar.

ונפק מלכא דסדום ומלכא דעמורה ומלכא דאדמה ומלכא דצבוים ומלכא דבלע היא צוער וסדרו עמהון קרבא במישר חקליא:
khqlya bmyshr qrba emhwn wsdrw tswer hya dble wmlka dtsbwym wmlka dadmh wmlka demwrh wmlka dsdwm mlka wnpq
The king of Sodom, and the king of Gomorrah, the king of Admah, the king of Zeboiim, and the king of Bela (also called Zoar) went out; and they set the battle in array against them in the valley of Siddim

עם כדרלעמר מלכא דעילם ותדעל מלכא דעממין ואמרפל מלכא דבבל ואריוך מלכא דאלסר ארבעה מלכין לקביל חמשא:
khmsha lqbyl mlkyn arbeh dalsr mlka warywk dbbl mlka wamrpl demmyn mlka wthdel deylm mlka kdrlemr em
against Chedorlaomer king of Elam, Tidal king of Goiim, Amraphel king of Shinar, and Arioch king of Ellasar; four kings against the five.

ומישר חקליא בירין בירין מסקן חימרא וערקו מלכא דסדום ועמורה ונפלו תמן ודאשתארו לטורא ערקו:
erqw lTwra wdashtharw thmn wnplw wemwrh dsdwm mlka werqw khymra msqn byryn byryn khqlya wmyshr
Now the valley of Siddim was full of tar pits; and the kings of Sodom and Gomorrah fled, and some fell there. Those who remained fled to the hills.

ושבו ית כל קנינא דסדום ועמורה וית כל מיכלהון ואזלו:
wazlw myklhwn kl wyth wemwrh dsdwm qnyna kl yth wshbw
They took all the goods of Sodom and Gomorrah, and all their food, and went their way.

ושבו ית לוט וית קניניה בר אחוהי דאברם ואזלו והוא יתב בסדום:
bsdwm ythb whwa wazlw dabrm akhwhy br qnynyh wyth lwT yth wshbw
They took Lot, Abram’s brother’s son, who lived in Sodom, and his goods, and departed.

ואתא משיזבא וחוי לאברם עבראה והוא שרי במישרי ממרא אמוראה אחוהי דאשכול ואחוהי דענר ואנון אנשי קימיה דאברם:
dabrm qymyh anshy wanwn denr wakhwhy dashkwl akhwhy amwrah mmra bmyshry shry whwa ebrah labrm wkhwy mshyzba watha
One who had escaped came and told Abram, the Hebrew. At that time, he lived by the oaks of Mamre, the Amorite, brother of Eshcol and brother of Aner. They were allies of Abram.

ושמע אברם ארי אשתבי אחוהי וזריז ית עולמוהי ילידי ביתיה תלת מאה ותמני עסר ורדף עד דן:
dn ed wrdp esr wthmny mah thlth bythyh ylydy ewlmwhy yth wzryz akhwhy ashthby ary abrm wshme
When Abram heard that his relative was taken captive, he led out his three hundred eighteen trained men, born in his house, and pursued as far as Dan.

ואתפלג עליהון ליליא הוא ועבדוהי ומחונון ורדפנון עד חובה די מצפונא לדמשק:
ldmshq mtspwna dy khwbh ed wrdpnwn wmkhwnwn webdwhy hwa lylya elyhwn wathplg
He divided himself against them by night, he and his servants, and struck them, and pursued them to Hobah, which is on the left hand of Damascus.

ואתב ית כל קנינא ואף ית לוט בר אחוהי וקניניה אתיב ואף ית נשיא וית עמא:
ema wyth nshya yth wap athyb wqnynyh akhwhy br lwT yth wap qnyna kl yth wathb
He brought back all the goods, and also brought back his relative Lot and his goods, and the women also, and the other people.

ונפק מלכא דסדום לקדמותיה בתר דתב מלממחי ית כדרלעומר וית מלכיא די עמיה למישר מפנא הוא אתר בית ריסא דמלכא:
dmlka rysa byth athr hwa mpna lmyshr emyh dy mlkya wyth kdrlewmr yth mlmmkhy dthb bthr lqdmwthyh dsdwm mlka wnpq
The king of Sodom went out to meet him after his return from the slaughter of Chedorlaomer and the kings who were with him, at the valley of Shaveh (that is, the King’s Valley).

ומלכי צדק מלכא דירושלם אפיק לחם וחמר והוא משמש קדם אל עלאה:
elah al qdm mshmsh whwa wkhmr lkhm apyq dyrwshlm mlka tsdq wmlky
Melchizedek king of Salem brought out bread and wine. He was priest of God Most High.

וברכיה ואמר בריך אברם לאל עלאה דקניניה שמיא וארעא:
warea shmya dqnynyh elah lal abrm bryk wamr wbrkyh
He blessed him, and said, “Blessed be Abram of God Most High, possessor of heaven and earth.

ובריך אל עלאה דמסר סנאך בידך ויהב ליה חד מן עסרא מכלא:
mkla esra mn khd lyh wyhb bydk snak dmsr elah al wbryk
Blessed be God Most High, who has delivered your enemies into your hand.” Abram gave him a tenth of all.
21
ואמר מלכא דסדום לאברם הב לי נפשתא וקנינא דבר לך:
lk dbr wqnyna npshtha ly hb labrm dsdwm mlka wamr
The king of Sodom said to Abram, “Give me the people, and take the goods for yourself.”
22
ואמר אברם למלכא דסדום ארימית ידי בצלו קדם יי קדם אל עלאה דקניניה שמיא וארעא:
warea shmya dqnynyh elah al qdm yy qdm btslw ydy arymyth dsdwm lmlka abrm wamr
Abram said to the king of Sodom, “I have lifted up my hand to Yahweh, God Most High, possessor of heaven and earth,

אם מחוטא ועד ערקת מסנא ואם אסב מכל די לך ולא תימר אנא אעתרית ית אברם:
abrm yth aethryth ana thymr wla lk dy mkl asb wam msna erqth wed mkhwTa am
that I will not take a thread nor a sandal strap nor anything that is yours, lest you should say, ‘I have made Abram rich.’

לחוד מדאכלו עולמיא וחולק גבריא די אזלו עמי ענר אשכל וממרא אנון יקבלון חלקהון:
khlqhwn yqblwn anwn wmmra ashkl enr emy azlw dy gbrya wkhwlq ewlmya mdaklw lkhwd
I will accept nothing from you except that which the young men have eaten, and the portion of the men who went with me: Aner, Eshcol, and Mamre. Let them take their portion.”
