ואלין תולדת בני נח שם חם ויפת ואתילידו להון בנין בתר טופנא:
Twpna bthr bnyn lhwn wathylydw wypth khm shm nkh bny thwldth walyn
Now this is the history of the generations of the sons of Noah and of Shem, Ham, and Japheth. Sons were born to them after the flood.

בני יפת גומר ומגוג ומדי ויון ותובל ומשך ותירס:
wthyrs wmshk wthwbl wywn wmdy wmgwg gwmr ypth bny
The sons of Japheth were: Gomer, Magog, Madai, Javan, Tubal, Meshech, and Tiras.

ובני גומר אשכנז וריפת ותוגרמה:
wthwgrmh wrypth ashknz gwmr wbny
The sons of Gomer were: Ashkenaz, Riphath, and Togarmah.

ובני יון אלישה ותרשיש כתים ודדנים:
wddnym kthym wthrshysh alyshh ywn wbny
The sons of Javan were: Elishah, Tarshish, Kittim, and Dodanim.

מאלין אתפרשו נגות עממיא בארעהון גבר ללישניה לזרעיתהון בעממיהון:
bemmyhwn lzreythhwn llyshnyh gbr barehwn emmya ngwth athprshw malyn
Of these were the islands of the nations divided in their lands, everyone after his language, after their families, in their nations.

ובני חם כוש ומצרים ופוט וכנען:
wknen wpwT wmtsrym kwsh khm wbny
The sons of Ham were: Cush, Mizraim, Put, and Canaan.

ובני כוש סבא וחוילה וסבתה ורעמה וסבתכא ובני רעמה שבא ודדן:
wddn shba remh wbny wsbthka wremh wsbthh wkhwylh sba kwsh wbny
The sons of Cush were: Seba, Havilah, Sabtah, Raamah, and Sabteca. The sons of Raamah were: Sheba and Dedan.

וכוש אוליד ית נמרד הוא שרי למהוי גבר תקיף בארעא:
barea thqyp gbr lmhwy shry hwa nmrd yth awlyd wkwsh
Cush became the father of Nimrod. He began to be a mighty one in the earth.
9
הוא הוה גבר תקיף קדם יי על כן יתאמר כנמרד גבר תקיף קדם יי:
yy qdm thqyp gbr knmrd ythamr kn el yy qdm thqyp gbr hwh hwa
He was a mighty hunter before Yahweh. Therefore it is said, “like Nimrod, a mighty hunter before Yahweh”.

והוה ריש מלכותיה בבל וארך ואכד וכלנה בארעא דבבל:
dbbl barea wklnh wakd wark bbl mlkwthyh rysh whwh
The beginning of his kingdom was Babel, Erech, Accad, and Calneh, in the land of Shinar.

מן ארעא ההיא נפק אתוראה ובנא ית נינוה וית רחבת קרתא וית כלח:
klkh wyth qrtha rkhbth wyth nynwh yth wbna athwrah npq hhya area mn
Out of that land he went into Assyria, and built Nineveh, Rehoboth Ir, Calah,

וית רסן בין נינוה ובין כלח היא קרתא רבתא:
rbtha qrtha hya klkh wbyn nynwh byn rsn wyth
and Resen between Nineveh and the great city Calah.

ומצראי אוליד ית לודאי וית ענמאי וית להבאי וית נפתוחאי:
npthwkhay wyth lhbay wyth enmay wyth lwday yth awlyd wmtsray
Mizraim became the father of Ludim, Anamim, Lehabim, Naphtuhim,

וית פתרוסאי וית כסלוחאי די נפקו מתמן פלשתאי וית קפוטקאי:
qpwTqay wyth plshthay mthmn npqw dy kslwkhay wyth pthrwsay wyth
Pathrusim, Casluhim (which the Philistines descended from), and Caphtorim.
15
וכנען אוליד ית צידון בכריה וית חת:
khth wyth bkryh tsydwn yth awlyd wknen
Canaan became the father of Sidon (his firstborn), Heth,
16
וית יבוסאי וית אמוראי וית גרגשאי:
grgshay wyth amwray wyth ybwsay wyth
the Jebusites, the Amorites, the Girgashites,
17
וית חואי וית ערקאי וית אנתוסאי:
anthwsay wyth erqay wyth khway wyth
the Hivites, the Arkites, the Sinites,
18
וית ארודאי וית צמראי וית חמתאי ובתר כן אתבדרו זרעית כנענאי:
knenay zreyth athbdrw kn wbthr khmthay wyth tsmray wyth arwday wyth
the Arvadites, the Zemarites, and the Hamathites. Afterward the families of the Canaanites were spread abroad.

והוה תחום כנענאי מצידון מטי לגרר עד עזה מטי לסדום ועמורה ואדמה וצבוים עד לשע:
lshe ed wtsbwym wadmh wemwrh lsdwm mTy ezh ed lgrr mTy mtsydwn knenay thkhwm whwh
The border of the Canaanites was from Sidon—as you go toward Gerar—to Gaza—as you go toward Sodom, Gomorrah, Admah, and Zeboiim—to Lasha.

אלין בני חם לזרעיתהון ללישנהון בארעתהון בעממיהון:
bemmyhwn barethhwn llyshnhwn lzreythhwn khm bny alyn
These are the sons of Ham, after their families, according to their languages, in their lands and their nations.
21
ולשם אתיליד אף הוא אבוהון דכל בני עבר אחוהי דיפת רבא:
rba dypth akhwhy ebr bny dkl abwhwn hwa ap athylyd wlshm
Children were also born to Shem (the elder brother of Japheth), the father of all the children of Eber.
22
בני שם עילם ואשור וארפכשד ולוד וארם:
warm wlwd warpkshd washwr eylm shm bny
The sons of Shem were: Elam, Asshur, Arpachshad, Lud, and Aram.
23
ובני ארם עוץ וחול וגתר ומש:
wmsh wgthr wkhwl ewts arm wbny
The sons of Aram were: Uz, Hul, Gether, and Mash.
24
וארפכשד אוליד ית שלח ושלח אוליד ית עבר:
ebr yth awlyd wshlkh shlkh yth awlyd warpkshd
Arpachshad became the father of Shelah. Shelah became the father of Eber.
25
ולעבר אתילידו תרין בנין שום חד פלג ארי ביומוהי אתפליגת ארעא ושום אחוהי יקטן:
yqTn akhwhy wshwm area athplygth bywmwhy ary plg khd shwm bnyn thryn athylydw wlebr
To Eber were born two sons. The name of the one was Peleg, for in his days the earth was divided. His brother’s name was Joktan.

ויקטן אוליד ית אלמודד וית שלף וית חצרמות וית ירח:
yrkh wyth khtsrmwth wyth shlp wyth almwdd yth awlyd wyqTn
Joktan became the father of Almodad, Sheleph, Hazarmaveth, Jerah,

וית אופר וית חוילה וית יובב כל אלין בני יקטן:
yqTn bny alyn kl ywbb wyth khwylh wyth awpr wyth
Ophir, Havilah, and Jobab. All these were the sons of Joktan.
30
והוה מותבנהון ממשא מטי לספר טור מדינחא:
mdynkha Twr lspr mTy mmsha mwthbnhwn whwh
Their dwelling extended from Mesha, as you go toward Sephar, the mountain of the east.
31
אלין בני שם לזרעיתהון ללישנהון לארעתהון בעממיהון:
bemmyhwn larethhwn llyshnhwn lzreythhwn shm bny alyn
These are the sons of Shem, by their families, according to their languages, lands, and nations.
32
אלין זרעית בני נח לתולדתהון בעממיהון ומאלין אתפרשו עממיא בארעא בתר טופנא:
Twpna bthr barea emmya athprshw wmalyn bemmyhwn lthwldthhwn nkh bny zreyth alyn
These are the families of the sons of Noah, by their generations, according to their nations. The nations divided from these in the earth after the flood.
