ܘܩܪܐ ܒܐ̈ܕܢܝ ܒܩܠܐ ܪܡܐ ܘܐܡܪ ܩܪܘܒܘ ܦܪ̈ܘܥܝܗ̇ ܕܡܕܝܢܬܐ ܘܐܢܫ ܡܐ̈ܢܐ ܕܦܘܪܥܢܗ ܒܐܝܕܗ
b'ydh dpwrenh m'n' w'nsh dmdynth' prweyh qrwbw w'mr rm' bql' b'dny wqr'
Then he cried in my ears with a loud voice, saying, “Cause those who are in charge of the city to draw near, each man with his destroying weapon in his hand.”

ܘܚܙ̇ܝܬ ܫܬܐ ܓܒܪ̈ܝܢ ܐܬ̇ܝܢ ܡܢ ܐܘܪܚܐ ܕܬܪܥܐ ܥܠܝܐ ܕܚ̇ܐܪ ܠܓܪܒܝܐ ܘܐܢܫ ܡܐ̈ܢܝ ܦܘܪܥܢܗ ܒܐܝܕܗ ܘܓܒܪܐ ܚܕ ܒܝܢܬܗܘܢ ܘܠܒܝܫ ܒܘܨܐ ܘܐܣܪ ܚܨ̈ܐ ܕܣܦܝܠܐ ܒ̈ܚܨܘܗܝ ܘܐܬܘ ܘܩܡܘ ܥܠ ܓܢܒ ܡܕܒܚܐ ܕܢܚܫܐ

Behold, six men came from the way of the upper gate, which lies toward the north, every man with his slaughter weapon in his hand. One man in the middle of them was clothed in linen, with a writer’s inkhorn by his side. They went in, and stood beside the bronze altar.

ܘܫܘܒܚܗ ܕܐܠܗܐ ܕܐܝܣܪܝܠ ܣܠܩ ܡܢ ܟܪܘܒܐ ܕܩܐ̇ܡ ܗܘܐ ܥܠ ܙܘܝܬܐ ܕܒܝܬܐ ܘܩܪܐ ܠܓܒܪܐ ܕܠܒܝܫ ܒܘܨܐ ܘܐܣܪ ܚܨ̈ܐ ܕܣܦܝܠܐ ܒܚ̈ܨܘܗܝ
bkhtswhy dspyl' khts' w'sr bwts' dlbysh lgbr' wqr' dbyth' zwyth' el hw' dq'm krwb' mn slq d'ysryl d'lh' wshwbkhh
The glory of the God of Israel went up from the cherub, whereupon it was, to the threshold of the house; and he called to the man clothed in linen, who had the writer’s inkhorn by his side.

ܘܐܡܪ ܠܗ ܡܪܝܐ ܥܒܪ ܒܓܘ ܡܕܝܢܬܐ ܒܓܘ ܐܘܪܫܠܡ ܘܪܫܘܡ ܪܘܫܡܐ ܥܠ ܒܝܬ ܥܝܢ̈ܝܗܘܢ ܕܓܒܪ̈ܐ ܕܡܬܬܢܚܝܢ ܘܡܬܕܢܩܝܢ ܥܠ ܟܠܗܝܢ ܛܢ̈ܦܘܬܐ ܘܒܝܫ̈ܬܐ ܕܡܬ̈ܥܒܕܢ ܒܓܘܗ̇
bgwh dmthebdn wbyshth' Tnpwth' klhyn el wmthdnqyn dmththnkhyn dgbr' eynyhwn byth el rwshm' wrshwm 'wrshlm bgw mdynth' bgw ebr mry' lh w'mr
Yahweh said to him, “Go through the middle of the city, through the middle of Jerusalem, and set a mark on the foreheads of the men that sigh and that cry over all the abominations that are done within it.”

ܘܠܗ̇ܢܘܢ ܕܥܡܗ ܐܢܘܢ ܐܡܪ ܠܗܘܢ ܠܥܢ̈ܝ ܥܒܪܘ ܒܓܘ ܡܕܝܢܬܐ ܒܬܪܝ ܘܚܪܘܒܘ ܘܠܐ ܢܚ̈ܘܣܢ ܥܝܢ̈ܝܟܘܢ ܘܠܐ ܬܪܚܡܘܢ
thrkhmwn wl' eynykwn nkhwsn wl' wkhrwbw bthry mdynth' bgw ebrw leny lhwn 'mr 'nwn demh wlhnwn
To the others he said in my hearing, “Go through the city after him, and strike. Don’t let your eye spare, neither have pity.

ܘܠܣܒ̈ܐ ܘܠܓܕܘ̈ܕܐ ܘܠܒܬ̈ܘܠܬܐ ܘ̈ܠܛܠܝܐ ܘܠܢܫ̈ܐ ܩܛܠܘ ܠܚܒܠܐ ܘܠܟܠ ܐܢܫ ܕܐܝܬ ܥܠܘܗܝ ܪܘܫܡܐ ܠܐ ܬܩܪܒܘܢ ܘܡܢ ܡܩܕܫܝ ܫܪܘ ܘܫܪܝܘ ܒܓܒܪ̈ܐ ܣܒ̈ܐ ܕܩܝ̇ܡܝܢ ܗܘܘ ܩܕܡ ܒܝܬܐ
byth' qdm hww dqymyn sb' bgbr' wshryw shrw mqdshy wmn thqrbwn l' rwshm' elwhy d'yth 'nsh wlkl lkhbl' qTlw wlnsh' wlTly' wlbthwlth' wlgdwd' wlsb'
Kill utterly the old man, the young man, the virgin, little children and women; but don’t come near any man on whom is the mark. Begin at my sanctuary.” Then they began at the old men who were before the house.

ܘܐܡܪ ܠܗܘܢ ܛܡܐܘܗܝ ܠܒܝܬܐ ܘܡܠܘ ܕܪ̈ܐ ܚܪ̈ܝܒܐ ܦܘܩܘ ܩܛܠܘ ܒܡܕܝܢܬܐ
bmdynth' qTlw pwqw khryb' dr' wmlw lbyth' Tm'why lhwn w'mr
He said to them, “Defile the house, and fill the courts with the slain. Go out!” They went out, and struck in the city.

ܘܟܕ ܚܪܒܘ ܐܢܘܢ ܐܫܬܚ̇ܪܬ ܐܢܐ ܘܢܦ̇ܠܬ ܥܠ ܐ̈ܦܝ ܘܐܝܠܠ̇ܬ ܒܩܠܐ ܪܡܐ ܘܐܡ̇ܪܬ ܐܘܗ̇ ܡܪܐ ܡܪ̈ܘܬܐ ܡܚܒܠ ܐܢܬ ܠܟܠ ܕܐܫܬܚܪ ܡܢ ܐܝܣܪܝܠ ܘܐܫ̇ܕ ܐܢܬ ܪܘܓܙܟ ܥܠ ܐܘܪܫܠܡ
'wrshlm el rwgzk 'nth w'shd 'ysryl mn d'shthkhr lkl 'nth mkhbl mrwth' mr' 'wh w'mrth rm' bql' w'yllth 'py el wnplth 'n' 'shthkhrth 'nwn khrbw wkd
While they were killing, and I was left, I fell on my face, and cried, and said, “Ah Lord Yahweh! Will you destroy all the residue of Israel in your pouring out of your wrath on Jerusalem?”

ܘܐܡܪ ܠܝ ܥܘ̣ܠܐ ܕܒܝܬ ܐܝܣܪܝܠ ܘܕܝܗܘܕܐ ܣܓܝ ܛܒ ܘܐܬܡܠܝܬ ܐܪܥܐ ܕܡܐ. ܘܡܕܝܢܬܐ ܐܬܡܠܝܬ ܢܟܠܐ. ܘܐܡܪܘ ܫܒܩܗ̇ ܡܪܝܐ ܠܐܪܥܐ. ܘܠܐ ܚ̇ܙܐ ܠܢ ܡܪܝܐ

Then he said to me, “The iniquity of the house of Israel and Judah is exceedingly great, and the land is full of blood, and the city full of perversion; for they say, ‘Yahweh has forsaken the land, and Yahweh doesn’t see.’

ܘܐܢܐ ܠܐ ܐܚܘܣ ܥܠܝܗܘܢ ܘܠܐ ܐܪܚܡ ܐܘܪ̈ܚܬܗܘܢ ܒܪܝܫܗܘܢ ܐܦܪܘܥ
'prwe bryshhwn 'wrkhthhwn 'rkhm wl' elyhwn 'khws l' w'n'
As for me also, my eye won’t spare, neither will I have pity, but I will bring their way on their head.”

ܘܚ̇ܙܝܬ ܠܓܒܪܐ ܕܠܒܝܫ ܒܘܨܐ ܕܥܢܐ ܘܐܡܪ ܥܒ̇ܕܬ ܐܝܟܢܐ ܕܦܩܕܬܢܝ

Behold, the man clothed in linen, who had the inkhorn by his side, reported the matter, saying, “I have done as you have commanded me.”
