1
ואכלי ואנא שמע קל רב למימר אתקרבו דממנן על קרתא וגבר מן חבוליה בידיה:
bydyh khbwlyh mn wgbr qrtha el dmmnn athqrbw lmymr rb ql shme wana wakly
Then he cried in my ears with a loud voice, saying, “Cause those who are in charge of the city to draw near, each man with his destroying weapon in his hand.”

והא שתא גברין אתן מאורח תרעא עלאה דפתיח לצפונא וגבר מן כידוריה בידיה וגברא חד ביניהון לביש לבושין ופנקס ספרא בחרציה ועלו וקמו בסטר מדבחא דנחשא:
dnkhsha mdbkha bsTr wqmw welw bkhrtsyh spra wpnqs lbwshyn lbysh bynyhwn khd wgbra bydyh kydwryh mn wgbr ltspwna dpthykh elah threa mawrkh athn gbryn shtha wha
Behold, six men came from the way of the upper gate, which lies toward the north, every man with his slaughter weapon in his hand. One man in the middle of them was clothed in linen, with a writer’s inkhorn by his side. They went in, and stood beside the bronze altar.

ויקר אלהא דישראל אסתלק בכרובא דהוה שרי עלוהי בית קודש קודשיא ושרא מעיל לקביל סקופת ביתא וקרא לגברא דלביש לבושיא דפנקס ספרא בחרציה:
bkhrtsyh spra dpnqs lbwshya dlbysh lgbra wqra bytha sqwpth lqbyl meyl wshra qwdshya qwdsh byth elwhy shry dhwh bkrwba asthlq dyshral alha wyqr
The glory of the God of Israel went up from the cherub, whereupon it was, to the threshold of the house; and he called to the man clothed in linen, who had the writer’s inkhorn by his side.

ואמר יי ליה עבר בגו קרתא בגו ירושלם ותרשום תוא על בית עיני גבריא דמאנחין ודמאנקין על כל תועבתא דאתעבידא בגוה:
bgwh dathebyda thwebtha kl el wdmanqyn dmankhyn gbrya eyny byth el thwa wthrshwm yrwshlm bgw qrtha bgw ebr lyh yy wamr
Yahweh said to him, “Go through the middle of the city, through the middle of Jerusalem, and set a mark on the foreheads of the men that sigh and that cry over all the abominations that are done within it.”

ולאילן אמר ואנא שמע עברו בקרתא בתרוהי וקטולו לא תחוס עיניכון ולא תרחמון:
thrkhmwn wla eynykwn thkhws la wqTwlw bthrwhy bqrtha ebrw shme wana amr wlayln
To the others he said in my hearing, “Go through the city after him, and strike. Don’t let your eye spare, neither have pity.

סב עולם ובתולה טפלא ונשיא תקטלון לחבלא ועל כל גברא דעלוהי רושם תוא לא תקרבון ומבית מקדשי תשרון ושריאו בגבריא סביא דקדם ביתא:
bytha dqdm sbya bgbrya wshryaw thshrwn mqdshy wmbyth thqrbwn la thwa rwshm delwhy gbra kl wel lkhbla thqTlwn wnshya Tpla wbthwlh ewlm sb
Kill utterly the old man, the young man, the virgin, little children and women; but don’t come near any man on whom is the mark. Begin at my sanctuary.” Then they began at the old men who were before the house.

ואמר להון סאיבו ית ביתא ומלו ית דרתא קטילין פוקו ונפקו וקטלו בקרתא:
bqrtha wqTlw wnpqw pwqw qTylyn drtha yth wmlw bytha yth saybw lhwn wamr
He said to them, “Defile the house, and fill the courts with the slain. Go out!” They went out, and struck in the city.

והוה כקטלותהון ואשתארית אנא ואשתטחית על אפי וצוחית ואמרית קביל בעותי יי אלהים המחבל את ית כל שארא דישראל במשפכך ית חימתך על ירושלם:
yrwshlm el khymthk yth bmshpkk dyshral shara kl yth ath hmkhbl alhym yy bewthy qbyl wamryth wtswkhyth apy el washthTkhyth ana washtharyth kqTlwthhwn whwh
While they were killing, and I was left, I fell on my face, and cried, and said, “Ah Lord Yahweh! Will you destroy all the residue of Israel in your pouring out of your wrath on Jerusalem?”

ואמר לי חובי בית ישראל ויהודה תקיפו בה לחדא אתמליאת ארעא חייבי קטול וקרתא אתמליאת אסטיות דין ארי אמרו רחיק יי ית יתבי ארעא ולית דאיגליא קדם יי:
yy qdm dayglya wlyth area ythby yth yy rkhyq amrw ary dyn asTywth athmlyath wqrtha qTwl khyyby area athmlyath lkhda bh thqypw wyhwdh yshral byth khwby ly wamr
Then he said to me, “The iniquity of the house of Israel and Judah is exceedingly great, and the land is full of blood, and the city full of perversion; for they say, ‘Yahweh has forsaken the land, and Yahweh doesn’t see.’

ואף אנא לא אחוס מימרי ולא ארחים פורענות אורחתהון ברישיהון יהבית:
yhbyth bryshyhwn awrkhthhwn pwrenwth arkhym wla mymry akhws la ana wap
As for me also, my eye won’t spare, neither will I have pity, but I will bring their way on their head.”
