ܘܗܘܐ ܒܫܢܬܐ ܫܬܝܬܝܬܐ ܒܚܡܫܬܐ ܒܝܪܚܐ ܫܬܝܬܝܐ ܐܢܐ ܝܬ̇ܒ ܗܘ̇ܝܬ ܒܒܝܬܝ ܘܣܒ̈ܐ ܕܝܗܘܕܐ ܝܬ̇ܒܝܢ ܗܘܘ ܩܕܡܝ ܘܢܦܠܬ ܥܠܝ ܬܡܢ ܐܝܕܗ ܕܡܪܐ ܡܪ̈ܘܬܐ
mrwth' dmr' 'ydh thmn ely wnplth qdmy hww ythbyn dyhwd' wsb' bbythy hwyth ythb 'n' shthythy' byrkh' bkhmshth' shthythyth' bshnth' whw'
In the sixth year, in the sixth month, in the fifth day of the month, as I sat in my house, and the elders of Judah sat before me, the Lord Yahweh’s hand fell on me there.

ܘܚ̇ܙܝܬ ܘܗܐ ܕܡܘܬܐ ܐܝܟ ܚܙܘܐ ܕܢܘܪܐ ܡܢ ܚܙܘܐ ܕܚܨ̈ܘܗܝ ܘܠܬܚܬ ܢܘܪܐ ܘܡܢ ܚ̈ܨܘܗܝ ܘܠܥܠ ܚ̇ܙܝܬ ܐܝܟ ܚܙܘܐ ܕܙܗܪܐ ܘܐܝܟ ܚܙܘܐ ܕܐܠܗܐ

Then I saw, and behold, a likeness as the appearance of fire—from the appearance of his waist and downward, fire, and from his waist and upward, as the appearance of brightness, as it were glowing metal.

ܘܐܘܫܛ ܒܕܡܘܬܐ ܕܐܝܕܐ ܘܐܚܕܢܝ ܒܥܕܩ̈ܐ ܕܪܝܫܝ ܘܫܩܠܬܢܝ ܪܘܚܐ ܒܝܬ ܐܪܥܐ ܠܫܡܝܐ ܘܐܝܬܝܬܢܝ ܠܐܘܪܫܠܡ ܒܚܙܘܐ ܕܐܠܗܐ ܠܡܥܠܢܐ ܕܬܪܥܐ ܕܙܘܝܬܐ ܕܚܐܪ ܠܓܪܒܝܐ ܕܬܡܢ ܩܝ̇ܡܐ ܩܝܡܬܐ ܕܛܢܢܐ
dTnn' qymth' qym' dthmn lgrby' dkh'r dzwyth' dthre' lmeln' d'lh' bkhzw' l'wrshlm w'ythythny lshmy' 're' byth rwkh' wshqlthny dryshy bedq' w'khdny d'yd' bdmwth' w'wshT
He stretched out the form of a hand, and took me by a lock of my head; and the Spirit lifted me up between earth and the sky, and brought me in the visions of God to Jerusalem, to the door of the gate of the inner court that looks toward the north, where there was the seat of the image of jealousy, which provokes to jealousy.

ܘܗܐ ܬܡܢ ܫܘܒܚܗ ܕܐܠܗܐ ܕܐܝܣܪܝܠ ܐܝܟ ܚܙܘܐ ܕܚ̇ܙܝܬ ܒܦܩܥܬܐ
bpqeth' dkhzyth khzw' 'yk d'ysryl d'lh' shwbkhh thmn wh'
Behold, the glory of the God of Israel was there, according to the appearance that I saw in the plain.

ܘܐܡܪ ܠܝ ܒܪܢܫܐ ܐܪܝܡ ܥܝܢ̈ܝܟ ܠܐܘܪܚܐ ܕܓܪܒܝܐ ܘܐܪܝܡ̇ܬ ܥܝܢ̈ܝ ܠܐܘܪܚܐ ܕܓܪܒܝܐ ܘܗܐ ܡܢ ܓܪܒܝܝܗ ܕܬܪܥܐ ܡܕܢܚܝܐ ܩܝ̇ܡܐ ܩܝܡܬܐ ܕܛܢܢܐ ܒܡܥܠܢܗ
bmelnh dTnn' qymth' qym' mdnkhy' dthre' grbyyh mn wh' dgrby' l'wrkh' eyny w'rymth dgrby' l'wrkh' eynyk 'rym brnsh' ly w'mr
Then he said to me, “Son of man, lift up your eyes now the way toward the north.” So I lifted up my eyes the way toward the north, and saw, northward of the gate of the altar this image of jealousy in the entry.

ܘܐܡܪ ܠܝ ܒܪܢܫܐ ܚ̣ܙܝܬ ܡܢܐ ܥܒ̇ܕܝܢ ܛܢ̈ܦܘܬܐ ܪ̈ܘܪܒܬܐ ܕܥܒ̇ܕܝܢ ܕܒܝܬ ܐܝܣܪܝܠ ܕܐܬܪܚܩܘ ܡܢ ܡܩܕܫܝ ܬܘܒ ܬܗܦܘܟ ܬܚܙܐ ܛܢ̈ܦܘܬܐ ܪ̈ܘܪܒܬܐ ܕܥܒ̇ܕܝܢ
debdyn rwrbth' Tnpwth' thkhz' thhpwk thwb mqdshy mn d'thrkhqw 'ysryl dbyth debdyn rwrbth' Tnpwth' ebdyn mn' khzyth brnsh' ly w'mr
He said to me, “Son of man, do you see what they do? Even the great abominations that the house of Israel commit here, that I should go far off from my sanctuary? But you will again see yet other great abominations.”

ܘܐܥܠܢܝ ܒܬܪܥܐ ܕܕܪܬܐ ܘܚ̇ܙܝܬ ܢܩܒܐ ܚܕ ܒܐܣܬܐ
b'sth' khd nqb' wkhzyth ddrth' bthre' w'elny
He brought me to the door of the court; and when I looked, behold, a hole in the wall.

ܘܐܡܪ ܠܝ ܒܪܢܫܐ ܚܦܘܪ ܒܐܣܬܐ ܘܚ̇ܦܪܬ ܒܐܣܬܐ ܘܐܫܟܚ̇ܬ ܬܪܥܐ ܚܕ
khd thre' w'shkkhth b'sth' wkhprth b'sth' khpwr brnsh' ly w'mr
Then he said to me, “Son of man, dig now in the wall.” When I had dug in the wall, I saw a door.

ܘܐܡܪ ܠܝ ܥܘܠ ܘܚܙܝ ܛܢ̈ܦܘܬܐ ܘܒܝܫ̈ܬܐ ܕܥ̇ܒܕܝܢ ܗܪܟܐ
hrk' debdyn wbyshth' Tnpwth' wkhzy ewl ly w'mr
He said to me, “Go in, and see the wicked abominations that they do here.”

ܘܥܠ̇ܬ ܘܚܙ̇ܝܬ ܟܠ ܕܡ̈ܘܬܐ ܕܪ̈ܚܫܐ ܘܕܒܥܝܪܐ ܘܕܛܢ̈ܦܘܬܐ ܘܟܠܗܝܢ ܕܚ̈ܠܬܐ ܕܒܝܬ ܐܝܣܪܐܝܠ ܕܨܝܪ̈ܢ ܥܠ ܐܣܬܐ ܟܕ ܚ̇ܕܪܐ
khdr' kd 'sth' el dtsyrn 'ysr'yl dbyth dkhlth' wklhyn wdTnpwth' wdbeyr' drkhsh' dmwth' kl wkhzyth welth
So I went in and looked, and saw every form of creeping things, abominable animals, and all the idols of the house of Israel, portrayed around on the wall.

ܘܫܒܥܝܢ ܓܒܪ̈ܝܢ ܡܢ ܣܒ̈ܐ ܕܒܝܬ ܐܝܣܪܝܠ ܘܝܥܙܢܝܐ ܒܪ ܫܦܢ ܩܐ̇ܡ ܗܘܐ ܒܝܢܬܗܘܢ ܘܗܢܘܢ ܩܝ̇ܡܝܢ ܗܘܘ ܩܕܡܘܗܝ ܘܐܢܫ ܦܝܪܡܗ ܒܐܝܕܗ ܘܥܛܪܐ ܕܬܢܢܐ ܕܒܣ̈ܡܐ ܣ̇ܠܩ

Seventy men of the elders of the house of Israel stood before them. In the middle of them Jaazaniah the son of Shaphan stood, every man with his censer in his hand; and the smell of the cloud of incense went up.

ܘܐܡܪ ܠܝ ܚ̇ܙܐ ܐܢܬ ܒܪܢܫܐ ܡܕܡ ܕܥܒ̇ܕܝܢ ܣܒ̈ܐ ܕܒܝܬ ܐܝܣܪܝܠ ܒܚܫܘܟܐ ܐܢܫ ܒܬܘܢܗ ܟܣܝܐ ܘܐܡ̇ܪܝܢ ܠܐ ܚ̇ܙܐ ܠܢ ܡܪܝܐ ܡܛܠ ܕܫܒܩܗ̇ ܡܪܝܐ ܠܐܪܥܐ

Then he said to me, “Son of man, have you seen what the elders of the house of Israel do in the dark, every man in his rooms of imagery? For they say, ‘Yahweh doesn’t see us. Yahweh has forsaken the land.’”

ܘܐܡܪ ܠܝ ܬܘܒ ܬܗܦܘܟ ܬܚܙܐ ܛܢ̈ܦܘܬܐ ܪ̈ܘܪܒܬܐ ܕܥܒ̇ܕܝܢ
debdyn rwrbth' Tnpwth' thkhz' thhpwk thwb ly w'mr
He said also to me, “You will again see more of the great abominations which they do.”

ܘܐܝܬܝܢܝ ܠܡܥܠܢܐ ܕܬܪܥܐ ܕܒܝܬܗ ܕܡܪܝܐ ܕܒܓܪܒܝܐ ܘܚܙ̇ܝܬ ܬܡܢ ܢܫ̈ܐ ܟܕ ܝܬ̈ܒܢ ܘܡܒ̈ܟܝܢ ܠܬܡܘܙܐ

Then he brought me to the door of the gate of Yahweh’s house which was toward the north; and I saw the women sit there weeping for Tammuz.

ܘܐܡܪ ܠܝ ܚܙ̇ܐ ܐܢܬ ܒܪܢܫܐ ܬܘܒ ܬܗܦܘܟ ܬܚܙܐ ܛܢ̈ܦܘܬܐ ܕܪ̈ܘܪܒܢ ܡܢ ܗܠܝܢ
hlyn mn drwrbn Tnpwth' thkhz' thhpwk thwb brnsh' 'nth khz' ly w'mr
Then he said to me, “Have you seen this, son of man? You will again see yet greater abominations than these.”

ܘܐܥܠܢܝ ܠܕܪܬ ܒܝܬܗ ܕܡܪܝܐ ܓܘܝܬܐ ܘܚܙ̇ܝܬ ܒܬܪܥܐ ܕܗܝܟܠܗ ܕܡܪܝܐ ܒܝܬ ܩܣܛܪܘܡܐ ܠܡܕܒܚܐ ܐܝܟ ܥܣܪ̈ܝܢ ܘܚܡܫܐ ܓܒܪ̈ܝܢ ܩܝ̇ܡܝܢ ܘܚܨܝ̈ܗܘܢ ܠܘܩܒܠ ܗܝܟܠܗ ܕܡܪܝܐ ܘܐ̈ܦܝܗܘܢ ܠܡܕܢܚܐ ܘܡܩܕܡܝܢ ܘܣ̇ܓܕܝܢ ܠܫܡܫܐ
lshmsh' wsgdyn wmqdmyn lmdnkh' w'pyhwn dmry' hyklh lwqbl wkhtsyhwn qymyn gbryn wkhmsh' esryn 'yk lmdbkh' qsTrwm' byth dmry' dhyklh bthre' wkhzyth gwyth' dmry' bythh ldrth w'elny
He brought me into the inner court of Yahweh’s house; and I saw at the door of Yahweh’s temple, between the porch and the altar, there were about twenty-five men with their backs toward Yahweh’s temple and their faces toward the east. They were worshiping the sun toward the east.

ܘܐܡܪ ܠܝ ܚ̇ܙܐ ܐܢܬ ܒܪܢܫܐ ܕܠܡܐ ܙܥܘܪܝܐ ܗܝ ܠܕܒܝܬ ܝܗܘܕܐ ܛܢܦܘܬܐ ܗܕܐ ܕܥܒ̇ܕܝܢ ܗܪܟܐ ܕܡܠܐܘܗ̇ ܠܐܪܥܐ ܥܘ̣ܠܐ ܘܗܦܟܘ ܠܡܪܓܙܘܬܢܝ ܘܗܢܘܢ ܡܦܩܥܝܢ ܒܢܚܝܪ̈ܝܗܘܢ
bnkhyryhwn mpqeyn whnwn lmrgzwthny whpkw ewl' l're' dml'wh hrk' debdyn hd' Tnpwth' yhwd' ldbyth hy zewry' dlm' brnsh' 'nth khz' ly w'mr
Then he said to me, “Have you seen this, son of man? Is it a light thing to the house of Judah that they commit the abominations which they commit here? For they have filled the land with violence, and have turned again to provoke me to anger. Behold, they put the branch to their nose.

ܐܦ ܐܢܐ ܐܥܒܕ ܒܚܡܬܐ ܘܠܐ ܬܚܘܣ ܥܝܢܝ ܘܠܐ ܐܪܚܡ ܘܢܩܪܘܢ ܒܐ̈ܕܢܝ ܒܩܠܐ ܪܡܐ ܘܠܐ ܐܫܡܥ ܐܢܘܢ
'nwn 'shme wl' rm' bql' b'dny wnqrwn 'rkhm wl' eyny thkhws wl' bkhmth' 'ebd 'n' 'p
Therefore I will also deal in wrath. My eye won’t spare, neither will I have pity. Though they cry in my ears with a loud voice, yet I will not hear them.”
