והוה פתגם נבואה מן קדם יי עמי למימר:
lmymr emy yy qdm mn nbwah pthgm whwh
Moreover Yahweh’s word came to me, saying,
2
ואת בר אדם כדנן אמר יי אלהים לארעא דישראל קצא מטא מטת פורענות קצא למיתי על ארבע רוחי ארעא:
area rwkhy arbe el lmythy qtsa pwrenwth mTth mTa qtsa dyshral larea alhym yy amr kdnn adm br wath
“You, son of man, the Lord Yahweh says to the land of Israel, ‘An end! The end has come on the four corners of the land.

כען מטת פורענות קצא למיתי עלך ואשלח רוגזי ביך ואתפרע מניך כאורחתיך ואתן עלך ית כל תועבתיך:
thwebthyk kl yth elk wathn kawrkhthyk mnyk wathpre byk rwgzy washlkh elk lmythy qtsa pwrenwth mTth ken
Now the end is on you, and I will send my anger on you, and will judge you according to your ways. I will bring on you all your abominations.

ולא יחוס מימרי עלך ולא ארחם ארי חוב אורחתיך עלך אתן ופורענות תועבתיך בגויך יהוין ותידעון ארי אנא יי:
yy ana ary wthydewn yhwyn bgwyk thwebthyk wpwrenwth athn elk awrkhthyk khwb ary arkhm wla elk mymry ykhws wla
My eye will not spare you, neither will I have pity; but I will bring your ways on you, and your abominations will be among you. Then you will know that I am Yahweh.’

כדנן אמר יי אלהים בישתא בתר בישתא הא אתיא:
athya ha byshtha bthr byshtha alhym yy amr kdnn
“The Lord Yahweh says: ‘A disaster! A unique disaster! Behold, it comes.

קצא מטא מטת פורענות קיצא למיתי עלך הא אתיא:
athya ha elk lmythy qytsa pwrenwth mTth mTa qtsa
An end has come. The end has come! It awakes against you. Behold, it comes.

אתגליאת מלכותא עלך יתיב ארעא מטא עדן תבירת קריב יום אתרגושא ולית לאשתיזבא במצדי טוריא:
Twrya bmtsdy lashthyzba wlyth athrgwsha ywm qryb thbyrth edn mTa area ythyb elk mlkwtha athglyath
Your doom has come to you, inhabitant of the land! The time has come! The day is near, a day of tumult, and not of joyful shouting, on the mountains.

כען מקריב אשפוך חימתי עלך ויחול רוגזי ביך ואתפרע מניך כאורחתיך ואתן עלך ית כל תועבתיך:
thwebthyk kl yth elk wathn kawrkhthyk mnyk wathpre byk rwgzy wykhwl elk khymthy ashpwk mqryb ken
Now I will shortly pour out my wrath on you, and accomplish my anger against you, and will judge you according to your ways. I will bring on you all your abominations.

ולא תחוס מימרי ולא ארחים כחובי אורחתיך עלך אתן ופורענות תועבתיך בגויך יהוין ותדעון ארי אנא יי איתיתי עליכון מחא:
mkha elykwn aythythy yy ana ary wthdewn yhwyn bgwyk thwebthyk wpwrenwth athn elk awrkhthyk kkhwby arkhym wla mymry thkhws wla
My eye won’t spare, neither will I have pity. I will punish you according to your ways. Your abominations will be among you. Then you will know that I, Yahweh, strike.

הא יום פורענותא מטא הא אתיא אתגליאת מלכותא צמח שולטנא הופע רשיעא:
rshyea hwpe shwlTna tsmkh mlkwtha athglyath athya ha mTa pwrenwtha ywm ha
“‘Behold, the day! Behold, it comes! Your doom has gone out. The rod has blossomed. Pride has budded.

חטופין קמו למסער רשיעין לא מנהון ולא מאתרגושתהון ולא מבניהון ולא מבני בניהון:
bnyhwn mbny wla mbnyhwn wla mathrgwshthhwn wla mnhwn la rshyeyn lmser qmw khTwpyn
Violence has risen up into a rod of wickedness. None of them will remain, nor of their multitude, nor of their wealth. There will be nothing of value among them.

מטא עדן תושלמת חובין קריב יום פורענות חטאין זבנא לא יחדי ומזובנא לא ידוי ארי רגז מן קדמי על כל אתרגושתהון:
athrgwshthhwn kl el qdmy mn rgz ary ydwy la wmzwbna ykhdy la zbna khTayn pwrenwth ywm qryb khwbyn thwshlmth edn mTa
The time has come! The day draws near. Don’t let the buyer rejoice, nor the seller mourn; for wrath is on all its multitude.

ארי מזובנא לזבינא לא יתוב ועד דאינון חין ירדינון בגויתהון ארי נבייא מתנבן על כל אתרגושתהון למיתב בתיובתא ולא תיבין גבר בחובי נפשיה מתרען ועד דאינון קימין בתיובתא לא מתקפין:
mthqpyn la bthywbtha qymyn daynwn wed mthren npshyh bkhwby gbr thybyn wla bthywbtha lmythb athrgwshthhwn kl el mthnbn nbyya ary bgwythhwn yrdynwn khyn daynwn wed ythwb la lzbyna mzwbna ary
For the seller won’t return to that which is sold, although they are still alive; for the vision concerns the whole multitude of it. None will return. None will strengthen himself in the iniquity of his life.

נפקין באצוחת קרנא מתקנין במני זינא ולית דאזיל לקרבא ארי רגז מן קדמי על כל אתרגושתהון:
athrgwshthhwn kl el qdmy mn rgz ary lqrba dazyl wlyth zyna bmny mthqnyn qrna batswkhth npqyn
They have blown the trumpet, and have made all ready; but no one goes to the battle, for my wrath is on all its multitude.

חרבא מלברא ומותא וכפנא מלגיו דבחקלא בחרבא יתקטיל ודי בקרתא כפנא ומותא ישיציניה:
yshytsynyh wmwtha kpna bqrtha wdy ythqTyl bkhrba dbkhqla mlgyw wkpna wmwtha mlbra khrba
“‘The sword is outside, and the pestilence and the famine within. He who is in the field will die by the sword. He who is in the city will be devoured by famine and pestilence.

ומשיזביא ישתיזבון מנהון ויהון על טוריא כיוני חיליא כולהון מנהמין גבר בחובי נפשיה:
npshyh bkhwby gbr mnhmyn kwlhwn khylya kywny Twrya el wyhwn mnhwn yshthyzbwn wmshyzbya
But of those who escape, they will escape and will be on the mountains like doves of the valleys, all of them moaning, everyone in his iniquity.
17
כל ידיא יתרשלן וכל רכיביא יתאשדן מיא:
mya ythashdn rkybya wkl ythrshln ydya kl
All hands will be feeble, and all knees will be weak as water.
18
ויסרון סקין ותחפי יתהון אתכנעותא ועל כל אפיהון בהתא ובכל רישיהון מרט:
mrT ryshyhwn wbkl bhtha apyhwn kl wel athknewtha ythhwn wthkhpy sqyn wysrwn
They will also clothe themselves with sackcloth, and horror will cover them. Shame will be on all faces, and baldness on all their heads.

כספהון בשוקין ירמון ודהבהון לבוסרן יהי כספיהון ודהבהון לא יכול לשיזבותהון ביום רוגזא דיי נפשיהון לא יסבעון ומעיהון לא ימלון ארי לתקלת חובין יהי:
yhy khwbyn lthqlth ary ymlwn la wmeyhwn ysbewn la npshyhwn dyy rwgza bywm lshyzbwthhwn ykwl la wdhbhwn kspyhwn yhy lbwsrn wdhbhwn yrmwn bshwqyn ksphwn
They will cast their silver in the streets, and their gold will be as an unclean thing. Their silver and their gold won’t be able to deliver them in the day of Yahweh’s wrath. They won’t satisfy their souls or fill their bellies; because it has been the stumbling block of their iniquity.
20
וחדות תקוניה ליקר יהבתיה ואינון צלמי תועבתהון שקוציהון עבדו ביה על כן יהבתיה להון לבוסרן:
lbwsrn lhwn yhbthyh kn el byh ebdw shqwtsyhwn thwebthhwn tslmy waynwn yhbthyh lyqr thqwnyh wkhdwth
As for the beauty of his ornament, he set it in majesty; but they made the images of their abominations and their detestable things therein. Therefore I have made it to them as an unclean thing.
21
ואמסרניה ביד רשיעין למבז ולחיבי ארעא לעדי ויחלוניה:
wykhlwnyh ledy area wlkhyby lmbz rshyeyn byd wamsrnyh
I will give it into the hands of the strangers for a prey, and to the wicked of the earth for a plunder; and they will profane it.

ואסליק שכינתי מנהון על דאחילו ית ארעא בית שכינתי ויעלון בה רשיעין ויחלונה:
wykhlwnh rshyeyn bh wyelwn shkynthy byth area yth dakhylw el mnhwn shkynthy waslyq
I will also turn my face from them, and they will profane my secret place. Robbers will enter into it, and profane it.

עביד שלשלן ארי ארעא אתמליאת חיבי קטול וקרתא אתמליאת חטופין:
khTwpyn athmlyath wqrtha qTwl khyby athmlyath area ary shlshln ebyd
“‘Make chains, for the land is full of bloody crimes, and the city is full of violence.
24
ואיתי מבאשי עממיא ויחסנון ית בתיהון ואבטיל רבות רשיעין ויתחלון מקדשיהון:
mqdshyhwn wythkhlwn rshyeyn rbwth wabTyl bthyhwn yth wykhsnwn emmya mbashy waythy
Therefore I will bring the worst of the nations, and they will possess their houses. I will also make the pride of the strong to cease. Their holy places will be profaned.
25
אתקפדת מטת ויבעון שלמא ולית:
wlyth shlma wybewn mTth athqpdth
Destruction comes! They will seek peace, and there will be none.
26
תבר על תבר ייתי וכסורתא על בסורתא תהי ויבעון אולפן מספר ואוראה תפסוק מכהן ומלך מחכים:
mkhkym wmlk mkhn thpswq wawrah mspr awlpn wybewn thhy bswrtha el wkswrtha yythy thbr el thbr
Mischief will come on mischief, and rumor will be on rumor. They will seek a vision of the prophet; but the law will perish from the priest, and counsel from the elders.
27
מלכא יתאבל ורבא ילבש צדו וידי עמא דארעא יתבהלן מארחיהון אעביד עמהון ובנימוסיהון אתפרע מנהון וידעון ארי אנא יי:
yy ana ary wydewn mnhwn athpre wbnymwsyhwn emhwn aebyd markhyhwn ythbhln darea ema wydy tsdw ylbsh wrba ythabl mlka
The king will mourn, and the prince will be clothed with desolation. The hands of the people of the land will be troubled. I will do to them after their way, and according to their own judgments I will judge them. Then they will know that I am Yahweh.’”
