ܘܗܘܐ ܥܠܝ ܦܬܓܡܗ ܕܡܪܝܐ ܠܡܐܡܪ

Yahweh’s word came to me, saying,

ܒܪܢܫܐ ܣܝܡ ܐ̈ܦܝܟ ܠܛܘܪ̈ܐ ܕܐܝܣܪܝܠ ܘܐܬܢܒܐ ܥܠܝܗܘܢ
elyhwn w'thnb' d'ysryl lTwr' 'pyk sym brnsh'
“Son of man, set your face toward the mountains of Israel, and prophesy to them,

ܘܐܡܪ ܛܘܪ̈ܐ ܕܐܝܣܪܝܠ ܫܡܥܘ ܦܬܓܡܗ ܕܡܪܐ ܡܪ̈ܘܬܐ ܗܟܢܐ ܐܡ̇ܪ ܡܪܐ ܡܪ̈ܘܬܐ ܠܛܘܪ̈ܐ ܘܠܪ̈ܡܬܐ ܘܠܢܚ̈ܠܐ ܘܠܦܨ̈ܝܕܐ ܗܐ ܡ̇ܝܬܐ ܐܢܐ ܥܠܝܟܘܢ ܚܪܒܐ ܘܐܘܒܕ ܦܪ̈ܟܝܟܘܢ

and say, ‘You mountains of Israel, hear the word of the Lord Yahweh! The Lord Yahweh says to the mountains and to the hills, to the watercourses and to the valleys: “Behold, I, even I, will bring a sword on you, and I will destroy your high places.

ܘܢܨܕܘܢ ܡܕܒܚܝ̈ܟܘܢ ܘܢܬܬܒܪܘܢ ܦܬܟܪ̈ܝܟܘܢ ܘܐܪܡܐ ܚܪ̈ܝܒܝܟܘܢ ܩܕܡ ܕܚ̈ܠܬܟܘܢ
dkhlthkwn qdm khrybykwn w'rm' pthkrykwn wnththbrwn mdbkhykwn wntsdwn
Your altars will become desolate, and your incense altars will be broken. I will cast down your slain men before your idols.

ܘܐܪܡܐ ܫ̈ܠܕܐ ܕܒܝܬ ܐܝܣܪܝܠ ܩܕܡ ܦܬܟܪ̈ܝܗܘܢ ܘܐܕܪܐ ܓܪ̈ܡܝܟܘܢ ܚܕܪ ܡܕܒܚ̈ܝܟܘܢ
mdbkhykwn khdr grmykwn w'dr' pthkryhwn qdm 'ysryl dbyth shld' w'rm'
I will lay the dead bodies of the children of Israel before their idols. I will scatter your bones around your altars.

ܘܡܕܝܢܬ̈ܐ ܕܟܠܗ ܝܬܒܟܘܢ ܢܚܪ̈ܒܢ ܘܦܪ̈ܟܐ ܢܨ̈ܕܝܢ ܡܛܠ ܕܢܚܪܒܘܢ ܘܢܨܕܘܢ ܡܕܒܚ̈ܝܟܘܢ ܘܢܬܬܒܪܘܢ ܘܢܬܒܛܠܘܢ ܦܬܟܪ̈ܝܟܘܢ ܘܢܬܓܕܡܘܢ ܓܠܝ̈ܦܝܟܘܢ ܘܢܬܥܛܘܢ ܥܒ̇ܕܝ̈ܟܘܢ
ebdykwn wntheTwn glypykwn wnthgdmwn pthkrykwn wnthbTlwn wnththbrwn mdbkhykwn wntsdwn dnkhrbwn mTl ntsdyn wprk' nkhrbn ythbkwn dklh wmdynth'
In all your dwelling places, the cities will be laid waste and the high places will be desolate, so that your altars may be laid waste and made desolate, and your idols may be broken and cease, and your incense altars may be cut down, and your works may be abolished.

ܘܢܦܠܘܢ ܚܪ̈ܝܒܐ ܒܝܢܬܟܘܢ ܘܬܕܥܘܢ ܕܐܢܐ ܐܢܐ ܡܪܝܐ
mry' 'n' d'n' wthdewn bynthkwn khryb' wnplwn
The slain will fall among you, and you will know that I am Yahweh.

ܘܐܘܬܪ ܡܢܟܘܢ ܒܝܬ ܥܡ̈ܡܐ ܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܐܬܦܨܝܘ ܡܢ ܚܪܒܐ ܘܐܬܒܕܪܘ ܒܡ̈ܕܝܢܬܐ
bmdynth' w'thbdrw khrb' mn d'thptsyw 'ylyn emm' byth mnkwn w'wthr
“‘“Yet I will leave a remnant, in that you will have some that escape the sword among the nations, when you are scattered through the countries.

ܘܢܬܕܟܪܘܢܢܝ ܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܐܬܦܨܝܘ ܡܢܟܘܢ ܒܝܬ ܥܡ̈ܡܐ ܕܐܫܬܒܝܘ ܠܬܡܢ ܡܐ ܕܬܒ̇ܪܬ ܠܠܒܗܘܢ ܙܢܝܐ ܕܣܛܘ ܡܢܝ ܘܥܝܢ̈ܝܗܘܢ ܕܛܥ̈ܝ ܒܬܪ ܦܬܟܪ̈ܝܗܘܢ ܘܢܬܩܡ̈ܛܢ ܐ̈ܦܝܗܘܢ ܒܒܝܫܬܐ ܕܥܒܕܘ ܘܒܟܠܗ̇ ܛܢܦܘܬܗܘܢ
Tnpwthhwn wbklh debdw bbyshth' 'pyhwn wnthqmTn pthkryhwn bthr dTey weynyhwn mny dsTw zny' llbhwn dthbrth m' lthmn d'shthbyw emm' byth mnkwn d'thptsyw 'ylyn wnthdkrwnny
Those of you that escape will remember me among the nations where they are carried captive, how I have been broken with their lewd heart, which has departed from me, and with their eyes, which play the prostitute after their idols. Then they will loathe themselves in their own sight for the evils which they have committed in all their abominations.

ܘܢܕܥܘܢ ܕܐܢܐ ܐܢܐ ܡܪܝܐ ܘܠܐ ܗܘܐ ܣܪܝܩܐܝܬ ܐܡ̇ܪܬ ܕܐܥܒܕ ܠܗܘܢ ܒܝܫܬܐ ܗܕܐ
hd' byshth' lhwn d'ebd 'mrth sryq'yth hw' wl' mry' 'n' d'n' wndewn
They will know that I am Yahweh. I have not said in vain that I would do this evil to them.”’

ܗܟܢܐ ܐܡ̇ܪ ܡܪܐ ܡܪ̈ܘܬܐ ܩܘܫ ܒܟܦܟ ܘܪܦܘܣ ܒܪܓܠܟ ܘܐܡܪ ܐܚܢ ܥܠ ܟܘܠܗ̇ ܛܢܦܘܬܐ ܘܒܝܫܬܐ ܕܒܝܬ ܐܝܣܪܝܠ ܕܒܚܪܒܐ ܘܒܟܦܢܐ ܘܒܡܘܬܢܐ ܢܦܠܘܢ

“The Lord Yahweh says: ‘Strike with your hand, and stamp with your foot, and say, “Alas!”, because of all the evil abominations of the house of Israel; for they will fall by the sword, by the famine, and by the pestilence.

ܕܪܚܝܩ ܢܡܘܬ ܒܡܘܬܢܐ ܘܕܩܪܝܒ ܒܚܪܒܐ ܢܦܠ ܘܕܡܫܬܚܪ ܘܕܡܬܦܨܐ ܒܟܦܢܐ ܢܡܘܬ ܘܐܫܡܠܐ ܪܘܓܙܝ ܒܗܘܢ
bhwn rwgzy w'shml' nmwth bkpn' wdmthpts' wdmshthkhr npl bkhrb' wdqryb bmwthn' nmwth drkhyq
He who is far off will die of the pestilence. He who is near will fall by the sword. He who remains and is besieged will die by the famine. Thus I will accomplish my wrath on them.

ܘܢܕܥܘܢ ܕܐܢܐ ܐܢܐ ܡܪܝܐ ܡܐ ܕܗܘܘ ܩܛܝ̈ܠܝܗܘܢ ܒܝܢܬ ܦܬܟܪ̈ܝܗܘܢ ܚܕܪ ܡܕܒܚ̈ܝܗܘܢ ܥܠ ܟܠ ܪܡܬܐ ܕܪܡܐ ܘܬܚܝܬ ܟܠ ܪ̈ܝܫܝ ܛܘܪ̈ܐ ܘܬܚܝܬ ܟܠ ܐܝܠܢ ܕܡܛ̇ܠ ܘܬܚܝܬ ܟܠ ܒܛܡܬܐ ܥܒܝܛܬܐ ܒܐܬܪܐ ܕܣܡܘ ܬܡܢ ܒܣ̈ܡܐ ܠܟܠܗܘܢ ܦܬܟܪ̈ܝܗܘܢ
pthkryhwn lklhwn bsm' thmn dsmw b'thr' ebyTth' bTmth' kl wthkhyth dmTl 'yln kl wthkhyth Twr' ryshy kl wthkhyth drm' rmth' kl el mdbkhyhwn khdr pthkryhwn bynth qTylyhwn dhww m' mry' 'n' d'n' wndewn
You will know that I am Yahweh when their slain men are among their idols around their altars, on every high hill, on all the tops of the mountains, under every green tree, and under every thick oak—the places where they offered pleasant aroma to all their idols.

ܘܐܪܝܡ ܐܝܕܝ ܥܠܝܗܘܢ ܘܐܥܒܕܝܗ̇ ܠܐܪܥܐ ܠܚܒܠܐ ܘܠܬܡܗܐ ܡܢ ܡܕܒܪܐ ܕܕܒܠܬ ܘܟܠܗ ܒܝܬ ܡܥܡܪܗܘܢ ܘܢܕܥܘܢ ܕܐܢܐ ܐܢܐ ܡܪܝܐ
mry' 'n' d'n' wndewn memrhwn byth wklh ddblth mdbr' mn wlthmh' lkhbl' l're' w'ebdyh elyhwn 'ydy w'rym
I will stretch out my hand on them and make the land desolate and waste, from the wilderness toward Diblah, throughout all their habitations. Then they will know that I am Yahweh.’”
