ܐܢܬ ܕܝܢ ܒܪܢܫܐ ܣܒ ܠܟ ܣܝܦܐ ܕܚܪܝܦ ܐܝܟ ܡܕܟܝܐ ܕܓܪܥܐ ܘܐܥܒܪܝܗܝ ܥܠ ܪܝܫܟ ܘܥܠ ܕܩܢܟ ܘܣܒ ܠܟ ܡܣܐܬܐ ܕܡܬܩ̈ܠܐ ܘܦܠ̇ܓ ܐܢܘܢ ܠܬܠܬ ܡܢ̈ܘܢ

“You, son of man, take a sharp sword. You shall take it as a barber’s razor to yourself, and shall cause it to pass over your head and over your beard. Then take balances to weigh and divide the hair.

ܘܚܕܐ ܡܢ ܬܠܬ ܡ̈ܢܘܢ ܐܘܩܕ ܒܢܘܪܐ ܒܓܘ ܡܕܝܢܬܐ ܡܐ ܕܫܠܡܘ ܝܘܡ̈ܬܐ ܕܚܒܘܫܝܟ ܘܬܣܒ ܡܢܬܐ ܐܚܪܬܐ ܘܬܦܣܘܩ ܒܣܝܦܐ ܚܕܪ̈ܝܗ̇ ܕܡܕܝܢܬܐ ܘܡܢܬܐ ܕܬܠܬ ܬܕܪܐ ܒܪܘܚܐ ܘܣܝܦܐ ܢܚܪܘܒ ܒܬܪܗܘܢ
bthrhwn nkhrwb wsyp' brwkh' thdr' dthlth wmnth' dmdynth' khdryh bsyp' wthpswq 'khrth' mnth' wthsb dkhbwshyk ywmth' dshlmw m' mdynth' bgw bnwr' 'wqd mnwn thlth mn wkhd'
A third part you shall burn in the fire in the middle of the city, when the days of the siege are fulfilled. You shall take a third part, and strike with the sword around it. A third part you shall scatter to the wind, and I will draw out a sword after them.

ܘܬܣܒ ܡܢ ܬܡܢ ܙܥܘܪ̈ܐ ܒܡܢܝܢܐ ܘܬܨܘܪ ܐܢܘܢ ܒܟܢܦܟ
bknpk 'nwn wthtswr bmnyn' zewr' thmn mn wthsb
You shall take a small number of these and bind them in the folds of your robe.

ܘܡܢܗܘܢ ܬܘܒ ܬܣܒ ܘܬܪܡܐ ܐܢܘܢ ܒܓܘ ܢܘܪܐ ܘܬܘܩܕ ܐܢܘܢ ܒܢܘܪܐ ܘܡܢܗܘܢ ܬܦܘܩ ܢܘܪܐ ܥܠ ܟܠܗܘܢ ܕܒܝܬ ܐܝܣܪܝܠ
'ysryl dbyth klhwn el nwr' thpwq wmnhwn bnwr' 'nwn wthwqd nwr' bgw 'nwn wthrm' thsb thwb wmnhwn
Of these again you shall take, and cast them into the middle of the fire, and burn them in the fire. From it a fire will come out into all the house of Israel.

ܗܟܢܐ ܐܡ̇ܪ ܡܪܐ ܡܪ̈ܘܬܐ ܗܕܐ ܐܘܪܫܠܡ ܒܝܢܬ ܥܡ̈ܡܐ ܣܡ̇ܬܗ̇ ܘܟܠܗܝܢ ܡܕܝܢ̈ܬܐ ܚܕܝܪ̈ܢ ܠܗ̇
lh khdyrn mdynth' wklhyn smthh emm' bynth 'wrshlm hd' mrwth' mr' 'mr hkn'
“The Lord Yahweh says: ‘This is Jerusalem. I have set her in the middle of the nations, and countries are around her.

ܘܚܠܦܬ ܕܝܢ̈ܝ ܒܚܛܝܬܐ ܡܢ ܥܡ̈ܡܐ ܘܦܘܩ̈ܕܢܝ ܡܢ ܡܕܝܢ̈ܬܐ ܕܚܕܝܪ̈ܢ ܠܗ̇ ܡܛܠ ܕܕܝܢ̈ܝ ܐܣܠܝܘ ܘܒܦܘ̈ܩܕܢܝ ܠܐ ܗܠܟܘ
hlkw l' wbpwqdny 'slyw ddyny mTl lh dkhdyrn mdynth' mn wpwqdny emm' mn bkhTyth' dyny wkhlpth
She has rebelled against my ordinances in doing wickedness more than the nations, and against my statutes more than the countries that are around her; for they have rejected my ordinances, and as for my statutes, they have not walked in them.’

ܡܛܠ ܗܠܝܢ ܗܟܢܐ ܐܡ̇ܪ ܡܪܐ ܡܪ̈ܘܬܐ ܥܠ ܕܐܬܚܫܒܬܘܢ ܡܢ ܥܡ̈ܡܐ ܕܚܕܝܪ̈ܝܢ ܠܟܘܢ ܘܒܦܘܩ̈ܕܢܝ ܠܐ ܗܠܟܬܘܢ ܘܕܝܢ̈ܝ ܠܐ ܥܒܕܬܘܢ ܘܥܒܕܬܘܢ ܕܝ̈ܢܐ ܕܥܡ̈ܡܐ ܕܚܕܝܪ̈ܝܢ ܠܟܘܢ
lkwn dkhdyryn demm' dyn' webdthwn ebdthwn l' wdyny hlkthwn l' wbpwqdny lkwn dkhdyryn emm' mn d'thkhshbthwn el mrwth' mr' 'mr hkn' hlyn mTl
“Therefore the Lord Yahweh says: ‘Because you are more turbulent than the nations that are around you, and have not walked in my statutes, neither have kept my ordinances, neither have followed the ordinances of the nations that are around you;

ܡܛܠ ܗܢܐ ܗܟܢܐ ܐܡ̇ܪ ܡܪܐ ܡܪ̈ܘܬܐ ܗܐ ܐܢܐ ܥܠܝܟܝ ܘܐܥܒܕ ܒܓܘܟܝ ܕܝ̈ܢܐ ܠܥܝܢ ܟܠܗܘܢ ܥܡ̈ܡܐ
emm' klhwn leyn dyn' bgwky w'ebd elyky 'n' h' mrwth' mr' 'mr hkn' hn' mTl
therefore the Lord Yahweh says: ‘Behold, I, even I, am against you; and I will execute judgments among you in the sight of the nations.

ܘܐܥܒܕ ܒܟܝ ܡܕܡ ܕܠܐ ܥܒ̇ܕܬ ܘܡܕܡ ܕܠܐ ܐܥܒܕ ܬܘܒ ܐܟܘܬܗ ܡܛܠ ܟܠܗ̇ ܛܢܦܘܬܟܝ
Tnpwthky klh mTl 'kwthh thwb 'ebd dl' wmdm ebdth dl' mdm bky w'ebd
I will do in you that which I have not done, and which I will not do anything like it any more, because of all your abominations.

ܡܛܠ ܗܢܐ ܐܒ̈ܗܐ ܢܐܟܠܘܢ ܒ̈ܢܝܗܘܢ ܒܓܘܟܝ ܘܒ̈ܢܝܐ ܢܐܟܠܘܢ ܠܐ̈ܒܗܝܗܘܢ ܘܐܥܒܕ ܒܟܝ ܕܝ̈ܢܐ ܘܐܕܪܐ ܠܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܡܫܬܚܪܝܢ ܒܓܘܟܝ ܠܟܠ ܪܘܚ

Therefore the fathers will eat the sons within you, and the sons will eat their fathers. I will execute judgments on you; and I will scatter the whole remnant of you to all the winds.

ܡܛܠ ܗܢܐ ܚܝ ܐܢܐ ܐܡ̇ܪ ܡܪܐ ܡܪ̈ܘܬܐ ܥܠ ܕܛܢܦܬܝ ܡܩܕܫܝ ܒܟܠ ܛܢ̈ܦܘܬܟܝ ܘܒܟܠܗ̇ ܛܡܐܘܬܟܝ ܐܦ ܐܢܐ ܐܕܚܩܟܝ ܘܠܐ ܬܚܘܣ ܥܝܢܝ ܥܠܝܟܝ ܘܠܐ ܐܪܚܡ

Therefore as I live,’ says the Lord Yahweh, ‘surely, because you have defiled my sanctuary with all your detestable things, and with all your abominations, therefore I will also diminish you. My eye won’t spare, and I will have no pity.

ܚܕܐ ܡܢܬܟܝ ܒܡܘܬܐ ܢܡܘܬܘܢ ܘܒܟܦܢܐ ܢܣܘܦܘܢ ܒܓܘܟܝ ܘܐܚܪܬܐ ܒܚܪܒܐ ܢܦܠܘܢ ܚܕܪ̈ܝܟܝ ܘܕܬܠܬ ܠܟܠ ܪܘܚ ܐܕܪܐ ܘܣܝܦܐ ܢܚܪܘܒ ܒܬܪܗܘܢ
bthrhwn nkhrwb wsyp' 'dr' rwkh lkl wdthlth khdryky nplwn bkhrb' w'khrth' bgwky nswpwn wbkpn' nmwthwn bmwth' mnthky khd'
A third part of you will die with the pestilence, and they will be consumed with famine within you. A third part will fall by the sword around you. A third part I will scatter to all the winds, and will draw out a sword after them.

ܘܐܫܡܠܐ ܪܘܓܙܝ ܘܐܢܝܚ ܚܡܬܝ ܒܗܘܢ ܘܐܬܒܝܐ ܘܢܕܥܘܢ ܕܐܢܐ ܐܢܐ ܡܪܝܐ ܕܡܠ̇ܠܬ ܒܛܢܢܝ ܡܐ ܕܫܡ̇ܠܝܬ ܒܗܘܢ ܪܘܓܙܝ

“‘Thus my anger will be accomplished, and I will cause my wrath toward them to rest, and I will be comforted. They will know that I, Yahweh, have spoken in my zeal, when I have accomplished my wrath on them.

ܘܐܬܠܟܝ ܠܚܪܒܐ ܘܠܚܣܕܐ ܒܥܡ̈ܡܐ ܕܚܕܝܪ̈ܝܢ ܠܟܝ ܩܕܡ ܟܠ ܕܥܒ̇ܪ

“‘Moreover I will make you a desolation and a reproach among the nations that are around you, in the sight of all that pass by.

ܘܬܗܘܝܢ ܠܚܣܕܐ ܘܠܓܘܕܦܐ ܘܠܡܪܕܘܬܐ ܘܠܬܡܗܐ ܒܥܡ̈ܡܐ ܕܚܕܝܪ̈ܝܢ ܠܟܝ ܡܐ ܕܥܒ̇ܕܬ ܒܟܝ ܕܝ̈ܢܐ ܒܪܘܓܙܐ ܘܒܚܡܬܐ ܘܒܡܟܣܢܘܬܐ ܐܢܐ ܡܪܝܐ ܐܡ̇ܪܬ
'mrth mry' 'n' wbmksnwth' wbkhmth' brwgz' dyn' bky debdth m' lky dkhdyryn bemm' wlthmh' wlmrdwth' wlgwdp' lkhsd' wthhwyn
So it will be a reproach and a taunt, an instruction and an astonishment, to the nations that are around you, when I execute judgments on you in anger and in wrath, and in wrathful rebukes—I, Yahweh, have spoken it—

ܡܐ ܕܫ̇ܕܪܬ ܥܠܝܟܘܢ ܓܐܪ̈ܝ ܒܝ̈ܫܐ ܕܟܦܢܐ ܕܗܘܘ ܠܚܒܠܐ ܕܐܫܕܪ ܐܢܘܢ ܠܡܚܒܠܘܬܟܘܢ ܘܟܦܢܐ ܐܘܣܦ ܥܠܝܟܘܢ ܘܐܬܒܪ ܩܢܝܐ ܕܥܒܘܪܟܘܢ
debwrkwn qny' w'thbr elykwn 'wsp wkpn' lmkhblwthkwn 'nwn d'shdr lkhbl' dhww dkpn' bysh' g'ry elykwn dshdrth m'
when I send on them the evil arrows of famine that are for destruction, which I will send to destroy you. I will increase the famine on you and will break your staff of bread.

ܘܐܫܕܪ ܥܠܝܟܘܢ ܟܦܢܐ ܘܚܝܘܬܐ ܒܝܫܬܐ ܘܐܘܒܕܟܘܢ ܘܡܘܬܢܐ ܘܕܡܐ ܢܥܒܪ ܒܟܘܢ ܘܚܪܒܐ ܐܝܬܐ ܥܠܝܟܘܢ ܐܢܐ ܡܪܝܐ ܐܡ̇ܪܬ
'mrth mry' 'n' elykwn 'yth' wkhrb' bkwn nebr wdm' wmwthn' w'wbdkwn byshth' wkhywth' kpn' elykwn w'shdr
I will send on you famine and evil animals, and they will bereave you. Pestilence and blood will pass through you. I will bring the sword on you. I, Yahweh, have spoken it.’”
